Made some.(500ml I don't mess about). I've never tried the original.. but this is win win.. its amazing..
#2 by Silverback, Jan 19. 2016, 21:47
Had to register so I could post... :)

I cant find a UK supplier that stocks all of these flavours. Does anyone know of any?

Just tried the original Boss Reserve for the first time, and its so yummy, I have to make this!

In the meantime if anyone could post on how close this is to the original... I'd be very grateful. This and Enter the Dragon (gemini) are now my 2 fav vapes!
#3 by NickOmega, Jan 20. 2016, 01:20
For UK concentrates I use either Chef's or Justvape247. Sure I've seen vapable mentioned before as well.
#4 by Silverback, Jan 20. 2016, 01:54
Vapable is the place I currently use. Like them but they dont have everything, i.e.

Captain Crunch Type (FW)
Banana Cream (LA)
Peanut Butter (TPA)

Justvape has Captain Crunch but doesnt say 'type' on the end. Is there a difference? (FW)

They also have Peanut Butter but they DONT have Banana Cream (LA)

Chefs isnt of help either by the looks.

Whilst I'm searching, how are you liking it now.. how close do you find it to the original? I've seen your v1 and I know you think this is closer but you didnt really comment
#5 by NickOmega, Jan 20. 2016, 04:12
As long as it's Flavor West the Captain Crunch should be right. My bottle doesn't have the word "type" on it so I assume it's just the naming on this website.

You can sub TPA Banana Cream in place of LorAnn, but you may want to increase it by 1% as I found the flavour a little more subtle (not necessarily a bad thing in this recipe mind).

This one I found fairly close to the original, maybe around an 8/10, but I have to honest, I've not made any more since posting this recipe as I found myself going off the taste of BR.
#6 by Silverback, Jan 20. 2016, 14:24
Thanks for the reply. I know what you mean to an extent and I only tried it from yesterday. Very nice vape but not one I like in the morning so Ive found out. Bit too much in the morning, but is def a nice vape. Will be trying yours once I can get all off the above.

If you ever fancy trying to clone Gemini Enter The Dragon... I'd love you forever ;)

I'm sure it only uses 3-4 concentrates but I cant quite get the strawberry right, annoyingly too as its my ADV but damn expensive.
#7 by Silverback, Jan 22. 2016, 07:19
Cant get captain crunch from anywhere :(

Vapable dont have it, and neither do Chefs. Justvape247 does but after reading there fb comments on everyone waiting for their orders (are they still in business because they're not even responding to people) I wont be getting it from there.

Chefs have Captain Cereal but they say is just a flavour enhancer. Seems very different from Captain Crunch. Random as they sell capain crunch berries.

#8 by JamesRaul, Jan 23. 2016, 02:58
This is really good - Steep time is 3-5 days. Going to make even more than 60ml next time.
#9 by Pake, Jan 24. 2016, 15:14
Can the FW Captain Crunch be swapped to some other manufacturer's flavor? I'd have to order the FW CC from abroad and the rest of the flavors I already have. Thanks in advance.
#10 by Silverback, Feb 15. 2016, 03:37
Finally got round to making this a couple of days ago though had to sub some concentrates for others. So far tastes just like cereal without the banana, caramel, etc etc but hoping thats bec Ive been lazy and couldnt resist trying it right away. Seems a complex blend so hoping after 2 weeks will taste much neaer to BR than currently.

I'm using

Banana Cream DX TPA
Captain Crunch TPA
Caramel Original DX TPA
Cheesecake GC TPA
Peanut Butter V2 CAP
Vanilla Custard V1 CAP
Vanilla Swirl TPA

Made 60ml for first batch. So far I'm def getting the Captain Crunch coming through! Will report back :)

Would capt crunch berries from flavor west be the capt crunch I need
#12 by NickOmega, Apr 24. 2016, 17:59
Unfortunately not, as per the name that is a Berry flavoured cereal.
The FW website appears to have changed the name of the concentrate:

#Silverback Try out these places to get your concentrates (the e-cig shop) (Rainbow vapes) (Leisure Liquids), i buy all my liquids from these guys and i make this recipe.
#14 by marvinfs@soulfly.us, May 26. 2016, 09:58
Don't have Captain Crunch, but have many others, can anyone say if it's possible to swap it to something else? OR may be to skip it from the recp.?
#15 by Mr Steeps, Jun 2. 2016, 21:01
Tried it after a couple of days and the banana was strong but has really mellowed into the background a week and half later and this is really good. Excellent clone and very close to the original... great job!!
#16 by Scott, Jun 14. 2016, 23:58
just made this up and got all the stuff from vapable.com including the Captain Crunch type which they did not have before but they do now so check it out
#17 by stlvapegurl, Jun 30. 2016, 03:30
I've made this a couple times now & it is definitely a favorite of mine & worthy of a 250 ml batch. It is a nice, light vape that isn't too sweet. This can easily be an all day vape. I am a two fister, switching back and forth from one mod to another, but if I had to pick only one, this would be a top choice. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!
#18 by Nicolas Mori, Jul 24. 2016, 21:57
And where is de Honey ?
#19 by Alex, Aug 20. 2016, 00:43
I've had this steeping for 2 weeks and have been vaping it today. Oh it's good! A lighter version of Boss Reserve and my new ADV. I'm mixing more tomorrow but my problem is having to let it steep - I'm going to run out of this bottle by tomorrow!
I used TPA Banana Cream and upped it by 1% as suggested.
Thanks for posting.

Any idea for Captain Crunch Type (FW) alternatives?!
#21 by adamzki, Jan 28. 2017, 00:59
UK Vaper here. I get all my flavours from Cupcake World, some of the above are v hard to source in the UK. This is my alternative to this, all flavours available from there:

banana cream 4ml
digestive biscuit 2ml
caramel toffee 2ml
candy floss 2ml
rice crispies 2ml
peanut butter 2ml
vanilla custard 5ml
maple 3 ml
#22 by NickOmega, Jan 28. 2017, 02:22
I'm in the UK and never had a problem sourcing any of the concentrates used in this recipe, although LA Banana Cream may be the exception (I've known others say it's difficult to find, but a lot just sub TPA Banana Cream and increase the %.
I use Chefs and Just Flavours for all my concentrates.
CCW concentrates used to be very weak and generally avoided but haven't personally used them.
#23 by Monotom, Mar 3. 2017, 06:27
https://www.chefsflavours.co.uk/lauren-s-flavours/3732-banana-cream.html

They can't use the name LorAnn but this is the one.
#24 by Monotom, Mar 3. 2017, 06:31
(I think that's because they rebottle. Keeps the price low but LA can't guarantee the quality anymore I guess... Just speculation though.)
#25 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 08:58
Hey Guys, I'm new into mixing and DIY's stuff, however I wanted to give this a shot, since its my favorite juice since i started 2 years back, but unfortunately its either not always available or nic levels that are available are just too low for me. So I got the mixers and i'm just done mixing. I will keep it for a couple of weeks to steep, but you guys got to know this, It smells exactly the same as the original, hope it tastes that way. Will update you soon... One question though since I'm so tempted to try it out NOW, can I? or is it really better if i wait a little for the flavor?
#26 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 09:01
Oh and btw, I got all my flavors from RainbowVapes! Awesome service, great delivery. I absolutely recommend them. 10/10
#27 by Scott, Mar 9. 2017, 09:59
tbh id wait at least a week as the custard in it needs time to do its thing vaping it before and it wont taste the same
#28 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 10:03
So i'm assuming you tried this recipe, how is it, is it close to the real thing?
#29 by Scott, Mar 9. 2017, 10:05
i dont by it anymore just make this have done since it was posted its good but cant remember what the original tasted like anymore
#30 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 10:09
thats a good sign of it being good enough not to buy the real one anymore. Another question, I'm having problems since 2 yrs with boss reserve, in which it gunks up the coils too fast! like not more than 10ml of vaping and then u have to change the coils or make new ones, and thats the only downside to it! is this the same?
#31 by Scott, Mar 9. 2017, 10:11
dont know what your using to vape it on but im using the artic v12 and well i change my every month after using like 3 bottles of 100ml :P my crown tank was better on the coils but falv was not as good that was up to 3 months at a time
#32 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 10:27
well i'm kinda old school, I build my coils from Kanthal wire on a Kanger subtank mini :) and when i'm traveling i use Cubis tank with either SS or Clapton coils. And both have the same life span with boss reserve. I vape M2L so my coils are in between 1 to 1.5 ohms. However whenever i use other juices like unicorn milk, i can stay for 2 weeks on the same coils
#33 by Scott, Mar 9. 2017, 10:57
mabey cos im on a 0.1 build vaping at like 130 watts it does not stay on as long and gets burnt off i dont know :) mabey someone better with it can say
#34 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 11:06
Thanks anyway mate. Appreciate your time :) I'll post again after testing the flavor. Happy Vaping Everyone!
#35 by NickOmega, Mar 9. 2017, 13:28
This will still gunk up the coils due to the presence of sweeteners, both in the Ethyl Maltol and other concentrates, but it won't be as fast as original. For reference I vape it M2L in a Kayfun 4 clone at around 15w on a 1 - 1.1 ohm spaced N80 coil.
TBH the profile of this isn't perfect but for myself it was close enough that I too stopped buying the original Boss Reserve.
Hope you enjoy :)
#36 by sami, Mar 9. 2017, 22:26
Well thats good to hear, that two ppl are now on this recipe and its keeping you from buying the original. I've been wanting to know if I actually did this correctly, Does the color come out as champagne color? coz the real one is way darker (more like dark whiskey color). Is that ok, or did I do something wrong?
#37 by NickOmega, Mar 10. 2017, 01:04
Mine is usually a slight peachy colour when mixed but it darkens over time, it's the nicotine reacting I believe.
I don't really wait long enough for it to steep (I'm impatient) but it does turn an almost dark caramel colour.
#38 by sami, Mar 10. 2017, 13:30
Oh ok, so the thing i forgot to mention is that i didnt buy the Nicotine and the VG/PG separately. I actually substituted this part with the NicBase VG/PG (70/30) product which already comes with Nicotine as well (3,6,9,etc...) So I believe that there wont be any future reactions since the Nic was in the solution, and already done its reaction before i even opened the bottle. Not sure if this is going to make a difference in flavor or coloring. I will still update you guys in a couple of weeks about the color (if changed) and the flavor of course which is the most important part, coz if the flavor is right, who care about the color :)
#39 by sami, Mar 24. 2017, 13:30
So I'm back guys with the review of the recipe I have followed, and unfortunately its not too close to the original. The flavor hits the sides of your tongue giving you the feeling that you got it, however, a strong banana taste hits the middle of your tongue and the top of the throat. Not sure why this happened, although I made sure of following the ingredients carefully and used Banana LA not any other. Maybe banana should be decreased by half in my opinion. I will try it next time and let you guys know. Don't get me wrong though, it is vapable but not my favorite as I don't like strong banana flavors in vaping, so I might adjust this by adding some original juice to it, or vape it as it is. Till next time. cheers
#40 by LessTalkMoreDelicious, Aug 23. 2017, 23:53
Will this work with less flavor? Maybe 50-75% of the original recipe?
I love this recipe...but the high 22% flavor gives me vaper's tongue and I can't taste anything anymore after 3 days lol.
#41 by NickOmega, Aug 24. 2017, 00:42
@LessTalkMoreDelicious Yeah it'll work just fine as long as the ratio between the flavours is kept the same. The last time I personally made it I reduced each concentrate and finished somewhere around 17% total.

If you're sub-ohm vaping you should be able to reduce it further still
#42 by LessTalkMoreDelicious, Aug 24. 2017, 00:50
Ah cool!! Thanks. I actually just whipped up a batch just now (using the new Nude Nicotine Salts)...with 50% of original flavoring (11% total flavoring). Can't wait to try it in a few weeks! :D
#43 by gusidemi, Jul 5. 2018, 18:22
Very god clon!
#44 by Carlos, Aug 18. 2018, 03:52

What could replace the cereal cruch? I can not get it!
#45 by Scott, Aug 18. 2018, 06:37
https://vapable.com/product/crunch-cereal-flavor-west-concentrate/ is what i use
#46 by Paul, Apr 13. 2021, 05:59
Hi guys, i was wondering with regards to the Cotton Candy (10% EM), is everyone adding EM to the Cotton Candy or is it premade with 10% EM
