This is a decent recipe. I tried numerous other recipes for baja blast and nothing seemed right. Other mixers would use cold pressed lime or key lime and use forest fruit or harvest berry as a mix. Kept overcomplicating something that can be so simple. I tried different ratios for blueberry candy and then decided to just go 1:1 ratio as the blueberry seemed to fade at lower percentages.
This is an awesome mix not just on flavor and authenticity, but simplicity
Enjoy

A small amount of tfa champagne will add a fizz like feel. Start at 1 or 2 percent and work your way up cause theres a fine line between addin fizz and addin champagne taste. Its not a bad champagne flavor though so as long as it goes with what youre making you can add a little more for a nice different spin
Just mixed up a batch of this today. Added 2% Champagne like mikehaddox recommended and that even too much. maybe only 1 would do to make it absolutely spot on. shake and vape
idk if anyone else if having this problem but i can't seem to get this recipe to stay mixed. every batch i have made has separated within a few mins after shaking.
@CopenGritz After slamming thru that 2% I would have to agree. It took some time and after a little while it started to taste more like blueberry champagne rather then baja. .75 or so would be good.
I have more experience with using koolada rather than champagne. I tinkered wit it a little, settled with about 0.5% Koolada 10% (PG/TFA). I've also tinkered with adding Sour and/or Sweet & Tart along with a little sweetener to add some sweet/sour fling to it. Love the flavor combination though. Thanks for sharing!
The last batches of blueberry candy would separate with just about anything I used, BUT after coming to a presumed fail bottle about a month later, the flavors fully mixed. That's even with the other recipes I have that include tfa blueberry candy.
I would recommend lowering tfa citrus punch to 7 to 8% flavoring
This is an underrated and simple recipe. I am a huge Mountain Dew fan, especially the Baja Blast flavor. This gives a very good flavoring that matches the citrus/tropical flavoring that the drink has.
Give it a try! I recommend Bull City Flavors as it contains the TPA flavors needed as well as many others at a good price. A+
Thank you monolith. Before I came out with this I tried everyone's recipe that used forest or even harvest berry along with so many different flavors. Tried simple and this was the best ratio after seven tries of these two mixes. Had to bump the bcandy all the way up to 9
