Does this leave a nasty taste in your mouth like it's namesake? Sorry, that was childish. Anyway, I've been following you for a week or two and I'm very impressed with your recipes. Thanks for all your hard work!

Robin you could have went all week without saying that. Lol

Alisa, this sounds delicious. How strong is the Fuji in this one?
#7 by Alisa, Feb 15. 2017, 21:39
Not strong, @kungfoogorilla . Not to me anyhow.
#8 by kungfoogorilla, Feb 15. 2017, 22:11
Thanks for the response. Have you experimented with higher percentages of Fuji? I've got the flavors I was missing on the way and they should be here tomorrow. So I'll probably do some experimenting myself, but am wondering if you have already tried any experimentation yourself.

I think Fuji is pretty strong, myself. I've used it at 1.5% in a couple of other recipes that I enjoy:
Apple Pecan Cheesecake: tjek.nu/r/5wLZ
Baby Clouds v4 tjek.nu/r/64pL

I just mixed Hilary's Excuse with Fuji at 0.5% and 1%, 10ml of each. Does the custard settle with a steep? How long do you usually let it steep before you think it's at its best? If it matters, I didn't have the Custardstone pre-mixed. I just used TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust @2%, LA Cheesecake @1%, French Vanilla @1%, and CAP Vanilla Custard v1 @6%.

But seriously, that Custardstone is good and I think it'd be great even as a standalone flavor. But for this recipe it overpowers the Fuji when it's freshly mixed. I'm hoping the vanilla custard settles a bit so the Fuji comes forward a bit more. I'm sure a steep will help, so we'll see. Thanks again, Alisa!

@Alisa
Many thanks and love, for all your input here. I have just got into Vaping after 42 years of smoking, and the first recipe I see was yours at the top of this site.
After getting used to all the website`s parts.. I love all your recipes and shall do the "Custard-Stone" and "Cake-Stone", first.
Just spent over £280 on my "First Concentrates".. Ekkk!! and I am still, missing a couple of yours in the custard-Stone, but I read your notes and shall use CAP NY Cheesecake instead.;-)
Do you have a YouTube Channel? So I can follow a few more hints and tips from yourself.
Many Many Thanks Antony H. in Portsmouth UK..

@kungfoogorilla - Definitely should let the Custard-based mixes age at least 2 weeks. I rarely touch one until it's 4 weeks old. They just really need to sit awhile. I do hope it turns out well for you!

@TwoTone - Antony... Thank you so much for the kind words and congratulations on jumpin' into vaping! I smoked for 40 years too. #vapingsavedmylife for sure. Sorry I don't have a Youtube channel for eliquids and vaping, but perhaps I will someday.... Meanwhile, stick around the ELR Forum. Absolutely awesome folk with great insight on mixing.

Alisa, what do you think about .10% Dragonfruit (tfa)? My reason is that it contains both ethyl butyrate & isoamyl acetate which are complementary to FA Fuji and adds extra juicy tartness to the apple!
#14 by Alisa, Apr 1. 2018, 23:07
Dragonfruit would probably make an excellent addition , @Hiwayhero!
#15 by Hiwayhero, Apr 7. 2018, 20:20
@Alisa Just made 60 mls of this adding .20% TFA Dragonfruit. DF does seem to boost the Fuji and the custardstone is great! turned out pretty tasty, maybe a little resting time will bring it all out nicely! Thanks for sharing and thoughts on the DF additive!

Awesome! So glad it turned out well for you, @Hiwayhero !
