I was aiming for a delicious rich, mild spiced apple pie with custard, Fa premium custard is my favorite style of custard to eat so fits perfectly here.
To me this reminds me alot of a McDonald's apple pie.
After trying sever variations of this mix I found this one was my favorite out from all of them.
Delicious as a s&v and keeps getting better as the custard takes a week to two to develop, also the spices die down slightly too but I struggle to let this steep its that good!
**Super sweet 2 drops per 10ml this can be subbed for your favorite sweetener if needed.
Tested in the drop solo and wasp nano using n80 fused claptons between 50-70w. Also in the Glaz rdta running n80 aliens at 100w all tasted great.
In going to try this as soon as I get my custard delivered tomorrow. I'll have to sub the apple filling with double apple cap but I have everything else. Nice work xx
Thanks mate, worth a shot I tried cap double apple in another version but it wasnt nearly as good for me but if u haven't tried apple filling u wont know what ur missing as its the perfect combo of lightly spiced apple pie filling lol
Let me know what u think of it with the sub as u may just love it.
I rate the apple filling and custard as my top 2 concentrates that I have so far, so if u get a chance to grab a bottle I highly recommend it at some point!
This is such a solid recipe. Sadly did not have flavorah apple filling, had to use Capella double apple but I can appreciate how awesome the original recipe must taste like given my adaptation is so delicious. Additional comments to consider, FA regular custard changes this profile drastically, it won't be as nice as premium custard makes it to be. Also, I have been using monks fruit extraction instead of cap super sweet, as I can use a lot less to get a much sweeter and kinder on coils effect. Solid solid solid recipe. Thank you for sharing it with DIY down under. https://www.facebook.com/groups/diydownunder/
It's delicious alright, 1 day steep I get apples n spice and a custard note, with further steeping I know it will be a banging vape. Well done on this recipe, I can taste why your so proud of it
Great foundation recipe, I am trying as is and variation with EM instead of super sweet and other variation adding some extra apple e.g PUR country apple.
I have not tried any other custards in this as for me its the only one that suits it. To me its a rich creamy custard, you could try it with the custard you like the most from what you have. but I highly recommended getting this one when your able to!
It's def on my list. I guess it's gotten popular lately :-) From your recipe it looks like you don't want a super eggy custard? Maybe I'll mix up all the ingredients (minus the custard) and then hold each custard up to one nostril, and the mix to the other, and see what seems to fit best. Lol.
Slightly eggy is ok but for my taste its really the only custard I will buy again as I get offnotes on most other custards besides fa custard which is usually just too lemony.
That would be a great idea to smell and see what ur senses feel like would be a good match! Let me know what u end up trying and how it turns out as it may help others who are stuck with limited custard too.
I finally got the Premium Custard and mixed this on 4/24 amd have been waiting and waiting... Well I just vaped the first fewcmls and wow, it's fantastic! Just absolutely delicious. So many different flavors, depth, just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Phenomenal! I'm so glad I put it off until I was able to find the Premium. Thanks for sharing your recipe! It's definitely going on my Top Notch list.
Im glad to hear u got it as it certainly wouldn't be as good without it.
Your welcome I'm glad u enjoyed it! Im still vaping it now but not too much as im getting low on concentrates to mix this again.
I'd been putting off getting Apple Pie Filling for a long time, but finally got it and made this recipe. It's truly fantastic tasting. I love FLV Rich Cinnamon and it comes through nicely here, just enough, as it can super strong. You've found a nice balance of flavors here. It's gone straight into my ADV folder. I love Premium Custard as well and I've found that mixed with INW Custard, then it becomes superb, so I'll give that a try.
Natbone, thank you very much. Im glad to hear you enjoyed it, apple filling has to be one of my favorite concentrates too.
I have heard alot of people mention inw custard im going to have to get it next time I order concentrates, please let me know if you try some or any other variations as im always happy to try new variations!
Cheers!
Just mixed this up a few days ago and I can only imagine how this is with a proper steep. One of the best custards I have ever vaped. Mixing up a 250 ml batch tomorrow! 5 stars!
@necro666 wow thats a massive compliment thanks mate, obviously I think the same that its the best custard I've had but I would be a little biased lol I like it snv & steeped both are great.
Jamie, I recently got some TPA Vanilla Custard II so I made 120 ml using it, all by itself. It's delicious and I think it's better than the INW and well worth trying. I'm getting ready to mix another 120.
Excellent recipe off the shake. My favorite apple pie recipes I've tried so far. This will be the first time using Flavorah Apple Filling since I purchased it. I feel it really adds a ton to this recipe's apple pie flavor authenticity for me. Bangin 5 stars Thanks for sharing
This is still a staple in my A+ recipe folder, so good, quick and simple to whip up and good to go on a SnV. It reminds me so much of the filling of a McDonald's apple pie. I've always meant to remix it to get that fried pastry profile to make it a complete apple pie but everyone I just go with the straight original recipe because it is just that good. Thanks Jamie_M, you've shared a wonderful thing with the people!
