#2 by DarthVapor, Sep 26. 2015, 17:24
Thanks alot man, I appreciate it! If you like melon vapes you HAVE to get the wild melon! Best melon I have tasted! You could also sub a honeydew at maybe 1% here to. Thanks again!
#3 by aura, Sep 26. 2015, 18:31
WOW this is fantastic!! Thank you darth!! I did cactus at 1% only because I don't bother with .2s, etc lol but its great!!

#8 by DarthVapor, Oct 18. 2015, 08:52
Haha thanks! I've been suffering for about 4 weeks now with no sense of taste/smell due to a really nasty cold a few weeks ago...I feel better but I still can only taste 10% of every thing right now...
Aggravating
#9 by Amy***, Oct 18. 2015, 08:54

I can taste things today thou so I was happy to ! This is a nice cactus mix !
#10 by DarthVapor, Oct 18. 2015, 21:24
Yeah this is one of my favorites for cactus! Nice a refreshing! Well since I lost my sense of taste I pulled out all my not so good mixes and I vaped them for the past few weeks...I could of vaped straight TFA blackberry and would of never known the difference haha
#11 by Amy***, Oct 18. 2015, 22:09
Haha that's pretty funny. That would be the Only time I'd vape it straight.
#12 by DarthVapor, Oct 18. 2015, 22:41
I cant remember if you tried this one or not but it is another cactus recipe I thought turned out great!

#14 by jimmee, Nov 6. 2015, 18:40
I been vaping this for a week and its awesome. very clean and subtle, while still being very flavorful. Don't know how you come up with this stuff but keep going
#15 by DarthVapor, Nov 6. 2015, 19:09
Thanks Jim! This one came out great, especially for a blind run!! Thanks a lot! Im getting ready for my monthly 75+ recipe making days, so hopefully I get 1 or 2 good ones ;-)
#16 by SthrnMixer, Nov 23. 2015, 08:26
You, my friend, are a Wizard. How you come up with these incredible mixes is beyond me. I'm officially stalking you now. Thanks for yet another incredible mix. By the way, when I made this I nearly turned up the mixing bottle to take a swig...it smelled that good! And my wife didn't mind the vapor trail I left in our house :)
#17 by DarthVapor, Nov 23. 2015, 19:14
Haha well thank you man I'm glad you like them!! This one is a good one for sure! If there's anything you like let me know and I can suggest some others! The vanilla oak one I just made is phenomenal!! Don't let the flavorings in it fool you because it comes out totally different than you would think! Dare I say it is one of my best to date!!

Thanks again sthrnMixer! It's good to know I'm doing something right...

;)
#18 by SthrnMixer, Nov 23. 2015, 19:17
I just copied it. Will make when I order next time. Last night I just completed orders from 2 more suppliers for a total of about 50 flavors from 3 suppliers. Not ready to pull out the credit card again just yet...it's too hot to touch anyway :)
#19 by DarthVapor, Nov 23. 2015, 21:29
But yet it never gets TOO hot ;-)
Damn son you are going to be busy!! Ah the overwhelming feeling of dozens of new flavors and possibilities
#20 by LordVapor, Dec 12. 2015, 22:33
Just vaped some of my bottle of this. Damn good juice brother. I will be making 250ml of this as soon as I place my next order for flavors. It's so juicy and delicious. The melon is great, and the apple and pear are perfect in this. This is my first juice vaping Dragonfruit. I have it, and have some mixes steeping with it. But this is the first taste. I love it! I really can't wait to try the others of yours that I have.
#21 by DarthVapor, Dec 13. 2015, 00:28
Thanks LordVapor! I can't get enough dragon fruit!! (Sure you can tell) but I love using cactus and DF together!! I have a few more kind of like this posted
#22 by Whiterose0818, Dec 13. 2015, 03:58
Buying direct from TFA, 16oz bottle of Dragonfruit is $16...mine came in last week..love love love me some Dragonfruit!
#23 by HC2S, Dec 18. 2015, 04:51
This is one of the best tasting fruit mixes I have ever tried. DarthVapor you are an artist and flavor is your paint! I finally broke down and ordered some cactus. Now I am kicking myself for waiting so long. LOL Well done my friend, truly well done. Absolutely delicious! If you like melon and fruit mixes, you owe it to yourself to get the ingredients and mix this.
#24 by DarthVapor, Dec 18. 2015, 16:44
Thanks a lot man!! I was extremely happy with the way this turned out! I'm glad you like it and took the time to make it!
I love the cactus and have a lot of good mixes with it
#25 by anon6970, Jan 9. 2016, 17:56
Hi Darth,
I'm a noob...what does "All flavorings @ 1 SG" mean?
#26 by Whiterose0818, Jan 9. 2016, 18:04
it means specific gravity...some people mix by specific gravity...i dont understand it at all, lol
#27 by anon6970, Jan 9. 2016, 18:06
Oh ok...that just means what the exact weight of a flavoring is....cool...I always use 1 as well :)
#28 by anon6970, Jan 9. 2016, 18:11
Do you think it would be ok for me to substitute (TFA) pear and (FA) melon cantaloupe for those 2 flavors?
#29 by DarthVapor, Jan 10. 2016, 03:33
I posted the 1 SG thing before Lars updated the site with grams and that. So it really doesn't mean anything now that the recipe is exactly how I make it.
Unfortunately you can't sub anything and get the same result. I use the FA pear because it is the only true pair that isn't candy like and makes a great booster. FLV cant as well, I use it for the juiciness it brings to a mix
#30 by Chewy, Jan 29. 2016, 23:27
Great recipe!
I upped the cactus to 2.5% ( love that cactus!) and as I didn't have the melons required I substituted them for FAs watermelon and cantaloupe!
Tasted great to me!
A big 5 stars from me!
Thanks for sharing!
#31 by DarthVapor, Jan 30. 2016, 01:22
Thanks brother! WOW! 2.5% on the cactus!?!?! lol! I love it too but I can't take anything over 1.5 or it gets to me.
I'm glad you still like it with the changes, FA melons are completely different. You should snag up some of those FLV melons! I haven't had any others that come close and can be used as boosters. Don't get me wrong I love FA cant too, FLV just has that juiciness quality to it
#32 by Chewy, Jan 30. 2016, 10:56
No problem DV,
Yes 2.5% is not for the faint hearted! Lol
But I seriously love the fresh, clean fruity taste! Maybe I have overdone it a bit? Lol
Will have to get me the melon flavours!
Now who was it that told me vaping was not only healthier but a cheaper option to the dreaded stinkies? Lol
#33 by anon6970, Feb 9. 2016, 05:51
Ok...bought all the flavors for this and mixed verbatim...this is a completely objective opinion...Darth is the man!!! Ok, the first week I was like damn... "what's up dragon fruit"!!! sooooo sweet....Week two dragon was on top but something weird creeping in...after 2 or three pulls dragon fruit went away for something else...elusive....after 3 weeks it seems to me that the cactus has taken over and become the main player.....It's not a bad thing, but was much better before the cactus prickled this juice....The cactus is a nice addition at first and may be a great behind the scenes note in the end....but as of now I'll be mixing the next batch of this with maybe .25% cactus....And yes I will be mixing more of this =)
#34 by anon6970, Feb 13. 2016, 09:54
Yep..I'm Dumb...after 4 weeks....The original mix has become so thick and pleasing...it's to me like a perfect green tea that pairs really well with any cold beer...all, and everything has fused into a new thing...I liked it off the cuff (brand new) it was sweet with DF...I think its an aquired taste now.....sooooo gooooood....thank's Darth
#35 by anon6970, Feb 13. 2016, 10:01
Oh BTW..I'm not dripping this...5 ohm on a apex tank...so say what ya will....started vaping this off the hilt with a Vapresso ceramic coil...It was ok...in my mind ceramic sucks...way better traditional...
#36 by anon6970, Feb 20. 2016, 10:26
I will not live without this again thanks to Darth's brilliance ...so inspired =)
#37 by DarthVapor, Feb 20. 2016, 11:56
Lol thanks man I'm glad you enjoy it! Apparently it's not for everyone but it comes with the territory ;-)
#38 by Whiterose0818, Feb 20. 2016, 14:33
i need to try this with our/my dragonfruit base...bet it kicks it up a notch!!!
#39 by anon6970, Feb 20. 2016, 14:41
don't try anything but the recipie with the same manufacturers Darth used....you'll thank yourself
#40 by Alisa, Mar 9. 2016, 01:06
This is an excellent recipe. Very well done my friend. I normally don't vape a lot of fruity stuff, but this is very refreshing and a nice change to my norms. Thank you very much for sharing with us!!
#41 by Whiterose0818, Mar 9. 2016, 01:13
Anon6970: rest assure, I have this exactly made, but DV and I have been sort of working on a Dragonfruit base that has our favorite DF‘s combined in one bottle. I understand your loyalty, trust me, I'm swinging from them also! Lol
#42 by DarthVapor, Mar 9. 2016, 02:32
Yay Alisa you have stepped from your norm and gave this a try! I'm glad you like it! Maybe I will convert you to a fruit ball after all hehr
Yes, whiterose is my DF brother! My current base has 6 different dragon fruits lol
#43 by x47vapes, May 30. 2016, 22:07
mixed this on 05/20 and this flavor is great and refreshing. Thanks
#44 by Bledzepplin, Jul 16. 2016, 03:46
DarthVapor, this is most excellent... to me this tastes just like fruit loops without milk.. thanks for sharing
#45 by grayz, Nov 4. 2016, 04:36
I just wanted to say this is AMAZING! Thank you!
#46 by DocShay, Nov 4. 2016, 05:32
So, I made a mistake - Wondering if you have any advice Darth - I don't have FA Pear - I ordered TPA Pear by mistake - I didn't even realize it until I was pouring it into the mix!
I make 100ml batches - And really don't know if it can be subbed with TPA Pear - or what % it should be. I compared the "Average mixing quantity" from both and TPA seems to use much more. I ended up putting 3.75% in.
Any suggestions, while i'm letting this steep?
Thanks!
#47 by DarthVapor, Nov 4. 2016, 16:10
Unfortunately it isn't going to turn out the same at all. I use FA pear because it's a great authentic juicy pear that boost mixes "juiciness" at lower %s, where as, the tfa is a strong candy like pear that will mist definitely stand out and give this juice a completely different profile
#48 by Hollowman, Nov 5. 2016, 15:49
I've been mixing for a year and vaping this specific recipe for about 6 months now, it's in my top 3 favorite all day vapes. I really appreciate your work DarthVapor, great job...
#49 by DarthVapor, Nov 5. 2016, 16:18
Thanks a lot Anon! I can never have enough dragon fruit juices !
#50 by jims kitchen, Nov 7. 2016, 02:04
well i tried to make this in my young no knowledge of this stuff days and coppied the recipe ok but i putin 12mg. of nicotine and vapped it at about 14 watts on my nautilus which i kept burning out coils like crazy because it was max vg and was just pourin threw the coils oh the coils were a 1.8 cant believe im telling anybody this . im sure it happened to other. newbies out there .dont do what i did its a great recipe thanks darth and stop laughing
#51 by jims kitchen, Dec 2. 2016, 22:02
tried again and i have to bow before the master incredible vape best ive ever had so smooth and so tasty you blend it beautifully with all the flavors 10 stars all day wow
#52 by Carty, Jan 28. 2017, 16:07
What do you mean "All flavorings @ 1 SG" ? :)
#53 by DarthVapor, Jan 28. 2017, 17:02
SG= Specific Gravity. This was before lars changed the calculator on here but I did all my flavorings at 1SG and not their actual SGs
#54 by Carty, Jan 28. 2017, 17:53
So for example pear at 0.75 and not 0.78?
#55 by DarthVapor, Jan 28. 2017, 18:13
Not quite sure what you mean on that, sorry. SG is basically the weight of a liquid against water. 1ml water=1g. Some flavorings are on the heavier side of 1 and some on the lighter, but they are all relatively close enough to 1, that it doesn't matter imo. The reason I put that on my old recipes, is for the people who mix using each flavors SGs, which would result in a different mix.
Say flavor X has an Sg of 1.5 but I mix a flavor at 2%. If someone is going off of the flavor's SG and mixed it up at 2% using my recipe, it would actually be 3%, since I use 1SG across the board. Lol make sense?
Long story short, just ignore all the SG garbage haha. I thought I removed them all and this was when people were using the scald and all the specific gravity for their liquids (which is a waste for flavorings)
SG is only important for weighing on VG, PG and nic imo, not flavors
#56 by Carty, Jan 28. 2017, 18:22
Got ya. What I ment was from your recipe. It says 0.75ml pear but the weight is 0.78. Do I go for 0.75 and not 0.78 then? Im actually mixing this liquid right now, for a friend, hehe.
#57 by DarthVapor, Jan 28. 2017, 19:06
Haha sorry. Go by the %, that way you can make whatever size bottle you want and keep all the ratios. But if you are looking to make this same exact size, then it is .75ml if you don't use a scale or .75 grams if you do use a scale. I'm not sure where you see the .78 though? On my end it's. 75 for measure and weight? I think that's why I was confused
#58 by Tony R., Mar 11. 2017, 20:32
Just made this one, I like to know is there a min. steeping time?
#59 by DarthVapor, Mar 11. 2017, 20:58
I never tried this as a shake and vape but I want to say I tasted this one 2 weeks in. Seeing as there isn't any creams or bakery in this, you can prob start after a week?
#60 by Tony R., Mar 11. 2017, 21:13
@DarthVapor, thanks for the quick responce. I'm going to leave it in a dark place for a week and report back next week!
#61 by Seanrus, Mar 12. 2017, 04:44
Just started DIY mixing a few days ago I have to put this on a bookmark for for my next order.
#62 by Tony R., Mar 16. 2017, 20:22
Couldn't wait, it smells so nice i hat to try it, man is this great and it gets better. Have to make a bigger stash, it's not gonna last long.
#63 by anon6970, Apr 30. 2017, 13:17
Ok so ..I put this mix away for awhile..kept it in the tank....I'm thinking like 10 months or so....picked it back up and wow....just as good as ever maybe even a bit creamier if ya can believe that....this juice stands the test of time...brilliant..just brilliant
#64 by InnoVape, Jun 5. 2017, 20:44
Gonna mix this for the first time! Recipe sounds promising!
I have all the ingredients in stock except for the Dragonfruit TFA :(
I do have Dragonfruit Cap.. Can i replace it and if so at what %?
Thanks!
#65 by DarthVapor, Jun 5. 2017, 21:05
You could sub it but it will be a different dragon fruit mix. Caps is a different take on DF than tfa, stronger too. I would be interested to try it though. 1.5%-2% maybe? If I were to try it, I would start at 1.5.
#66 by InnoVape, Jun 5. 2017, 21:34
Thanks for your fast reaction! I just made the first 30ml batch and used 1.7% Dragonfruit Cap.. Will order Dragonfruit TFA on my next order. Very curious about the results.. Been trying to mix a decent Melon vape for a couple of months now.. I'm hoping you helped me out hahah. How long do you let it steep?
#67 by DarthVapor, Jun 5. 2017, 22:17
This one doesn't need that long before you can start. Of course it will get better in time, you can start it a few days to a week in, if you had to. I have found that I need a combination of DFs to really get what I want. By default, I use TFA, CAP and INW. Like 4%, 2% and 1%, depending on the juice.
I like FLV's Cantaloupe and Wild Melon. You could of bumped those a little higher, if you wanted a more melon type juice. mmmmm.... melons
#68 by InnoVape, Jun 5. 2017, 23:28
Ok thanks! Please keep us updated if you got any improvements on this recipe. I have to say.. The smell alone is f*cking perfect!!! exactly what i was looking for.. Can't wait to taste in a few days. This might be my Summer '17 ADV :D! GOOD JOB DARTHVAPOR!
#69 by Stormy, Jul 6. 2017, 15:20
I had to sub FLV's Cantaloupe with FA Cantaloupe , I even dropped the % down to 1 from 1.8, it's still way too overpowering, I only had Cap Pear as well, I love FA Cantaloupe, it's like the real thing with a little koolada added, but it's strong, so much so, at 1% it walked all over this, time for version 2, I'm considering using it at 0.3-0.4%.
Cheers
#70 by metalbird, Aug 25. 2017, 12:14
Subbed cantaloupe for tfa honeydew 2 as I don't have it and it's gorgeous. Goos after a steep but also works for me as a shake and vape.
#71 by RugBurnRed, Sep 30. 2017, 23:58
I just mixed up 30ml of your recipe. My first mix that I like. I am going to leave cap off over night. A little bright right now, but I think it has real promise after it tones and blends a bit. Thank you for sharing.
#72 by DarthVapor, Oct 1. 2017, 03:58
Yeah this isn't really a "shake and vape" recipe. Actually none of the mixes I make for myself are. The earliest I ever try a recipe is 1 week out, but for the most part, 2 weeks or more is my personal time
#73 by Warwicky, Nov 3. 2017, 20:22
I loved this recipe. Whether it is shake and vape or not. It is pure greatness. Thanks for the effort
#74 by Sean58, Dec 15. 2017, 00:47
Great recipe
#75 by DarthVapor, Dec 15. 2017, 03:36
Thanks everyone, glad others like it as well :)
#76 by homeros10, Feb 18. 2018, 21:24
Man I have everything except for Pear FA, I have TFA, I searched all the Swedish stores non have FA. Advise me please. I know it has been asked here before but still :( thank you in advance much appreciated!
#77 by DarthVapor, Feb 18. 2018, 22:05
Unfortunately, nothing compares to FA Pear. I don't use it as a "pear" flavor, just as a juicy booster. FA pear is really juicy and doesn't have that strong, borderline candy pear flavor like TFA and all the rest. If you sub another type of pear here, it will drastically change the dynamic of the juice. Sorry
#78 by homeros10, Feb 18. 2018, 22:12
Fair enough man I will try to order it from the UK
#79 by DarthVapor, Feb 18. 2018, 22:23
You're in Swedin? I can ask a few people I know over there where they get theirs and let you know
#80 by homeros10, Feb 18. 2018, 22:27
Yes I am in Sweden. Much appreciated man thank you
#81 by Fleming, Nov 12. 2018, 04:32

Lol....funky good!!!
#83 by Schuie, Apr 17. 2019, 01:59
Mixed this up as a 6mg MTL and it’s excellent, even just off a shake. Thanks for sharing!
#84 by DarthVapor, Apr 17. 2019, 02:01
Thanks everyone, I'm glad everyone enjoys it as I do
#85 by Jerry, Jan 23. 2020, 05:41
If I'm not following you I need to start this recipe is amazing
#86 by MintyMix, May 30. 2020, 00:25
This is delicious! It's the first recipe I have tried with melons and I'm so glad I picked this one. I didn't have wild melon so I substituted with papaya but it's still great. Wild melon on its way so I can try the original recipe. Thank you so much for sharing this,
#87 by DarthVapor, May 30. 2020, 03:12
Thank you!! It's been YEARS since I made this one, but you'll like the FLV Wild Melon! If you don't like it, you won't like any other melon flavor, since it's one of the best out there. You should try FLV's cantaloupe, too. Not necessarily for a melon vape, but as a juice "enhancer". I use it as a booster at low percentages (.5-1%) to add a nice juiciness to juices.
It's also nice to know you still enjoyed it with Papaya. I'm not big on that one and never would of thought it would be that good here. I may have to try it myself. Cheers!
#88 by MintyMix, May 30. 2020, 04:43
Great, thanks for the tip. I'm constantly amazed about how I learn something new just about every day on this vaping journey!
#89 by DanielTheVapeMan, Dec 13. 2020, 06:12
I subbed papaya instead of dragonfruit and did some drastic % changes and it came out amazing. Great original recipe as well!
#90 by OhmWrecker, Jun 22. 2021, 03:16
Darth, 6 years later and its still a banger. 5 stars mate.
#91 by DarthVapor, Aug 26. 2021, 00:15
Cheers guys! I really need to sit down and make some of these older recipes. While I don't mix by recipe anymore, I have completely forgotten how some of these are! Happy to know people are getting their time and money's worth out of them! 😊
