I mixed a 20ml bottle and it tasted awesome. So nutty and banana. But then I liked it so much I mixed a 60ml bottle but it doesn't quite taste the same. Seems like it is too far on the vanilla side. Should I mix more nut bread in? Thanks
Nice and simple. I'm often surprised how good a recipe which uses only two or three flavors -- sometimes even just one -- tastes. The total flavor amount in the recipe, at 20%, is a bit high for me, so I went with 7.5% TFA Banana Nut Bread and 5% CAP Vanilla Custard V2.
This one is definitely going in my regular rotation. Thanks for sharing!
@BpalfZ I tried something similar. I brought the original recipe down to 7.5% TFA Banana Nut Bread and 5% CAP Vanilla Custard V2 since 20% total flavor was *way* too much for me. But later on I tried 6% TFA Banana Nut Bread, 1.5% TFA Banana Cream (regular, not DX), and 5% CAP VC V2 and it worked quite well. A bit stronger banana flavor.
Thanks for this, I made it with Vanilla Custard v1 CAP, great right after mixing. Looking forward to how it matures, hard to see how it can taste even better :)
I just made this up exactly. Very good right away with a shake! Great simple recipe!! Thanks for sharing...I like the 20% flavor using the V2. I'll be making up a big batch of this one!
I first tried this at the original %s and didn't really like it. I then cut them in half to 6 and 4, let it sit for five days and dripped it tonight. It is delicious. Smooth, a bit sweet and the best banana juice yet. Great job. It's definitely a keeper.
Taste: Banana, Vanilla, nuts and custard - a very tasty vape. The mix is quite simple but the flavor is not. I like the way the flavors work together, they blend together very well. I think that this juice fits perfectly to some cold weather or at the morning with a cup of coffee.
Good juice. Next time I will mix it with some lower percentages and see how it works.
@Schpaddell "Next time I will mix it with some lower percentages and see how it works." I have found that this recipe works better at 9% / 6%, or even 7.5% / 5% if you are vaping at higher wattages. Neither of the two flavors are particularly potent, but the 20% total flavor of the original recipe is just way too much when vaped at 50+ watts.
@Justin L. Franks Thank you for the tips and the percentages - will try these and make two batches as you suggested.
Regarding the original percentages: I had no real issue when vaping even at higher wattages (80watts+ in my case) - was just curious to see what will happen when I lower these, but keep the ratio between the two.
I'll check back in after a few more days, but at day 2 this is really nice, perhaps a little too soft and subtle in the flavour department? I'm not sure about the guys halving the flavour percentages.
It's as you might expect from the combination. Subtle banana bread, plenty of nuts as topping and a creamy after taste. Sometimes it does taste like the milk of a female monkey who was munching on bananas and nuts all day.
Great flavour! I used a 70vg/30pg mix so lowered the flavor to 10% and %6 respectively. I mostly taste banana, bread and custard. I will consider adding in a bit of hazelnut into my next mix. All in all a very satisfying vape which keeps pulling me back for more!
I always thought I could never have a banana ADV. I am super surprised that I like this as much as I do! Thanks for the recipe Biff. 😊 also, since this is from 2015, I took the advice of some of the comments and dropped the %s to 9% & 6%. It seems to have been the right amount. Steeped for almost a week and seems to be enough. Really tasty! So thanks again.
Also, I just tried to rate this recipe and it says it must be accompanied by a comment.. I’m still not seeing anyplace to do that, so I’ll just state that I give it 4 and 1/2 stars 😊
