made 10/11 steeped 3 days, cap off for a few hours after making it, a couple days later i added the pineapple bc I didn't have it originally. it's sweet and all FA for those who only have their flavorings here ya go.
Special thanks to Shaner for the collaboration in the addition of FA pineapple.
3 week steep.....First day vape....Flavor bounced from the Watermelon to the Strawberry, back and forth...... with a hint of the Pineapple.......with a smoothness from the Marshmallow........After a couple days....Watermelon, and then the Coconut started kickin in.....Played with differing voltages, and got some nice variety....Overall smooth......A very pleasant experience.......Thank you so much !
I never ordered FA Pineapple because of a bunch of terrible reviews on ECX. I am ordering it now. I assume those people that reviewed it were mixing it way too high. I am going to try this today with Inawera Pineapple. Will report back!
Very good. First all FA recipe for me. FA didn't disappoint. Very clean natural flavors. Coconut is a bit forward for my personal tastes , so if the other flavors don't shine more in a couple days I might cut the coconut to 1.5%. Thanks for sharing.
BKToad they will pick up. The tiger's blood juices typically are pretty coconut forward thou. Increase the flavor you want more of by all means. glad you tried it.
I mixed some up about a month ago, but had no FA Pineapple, so I used FA Pear (because they both start with a P? I dunno). Might have been a huge mistake, but anyway, I'm vaping it now and I barely taste the strawberry or watermelon. It's insanely sweet - almost like the coconut section of one of those Brach's Neapolitan candies. I suppose that's not a very useful description, but it's what I got!
It's literally a 1:1 substitution of FA Pear for FA Pineapple, but here I've changed it to public: tjek.nu/r/4mHk
Ignore my 3-star vote over there, that's certainly not a knock on this recipe. Plus maybe the Pear wasn't such a brilliant sub, it's almost cloyingly sweet, and I can see where a tart Pineapple or at least a dang citrus would really help this. :P
Bogey_Again this is a recipe mainly for those who only have FA feel free if you have other vendors to plug it those you like. Watermelon FA is a weaker one so it could easily be bumped up or changed out. If your sensitive to the coconut drop it down to your liking. The recipe needs at least 3 days but does mellow and is really fruity.
@Terratek sure to me I like LA pineapple better than FAs but this was a all FA recipe for those who only use FA concentrates. Use whichever ones you like !
Cool ill try it and see how it is, ive tried making a tigers blood before with tfa watermelon, strawberry ripe, coconut extra and it did not turn out good for me. is the pineapple essential in tigers blood mixes?
I think it really helps perk them up and makes them sweeter. The original didn't have it in it thou. The pineapple here is for more sweetness and helps lift the watermelon
Had to make a few adjustments in %'s because I used other brands here (used FA for just the Strawberry & Coconut). Thank you Amy for sharing! So far an awesome shake n' vape!
Brad H. You could swap them out this is just a recipe using all FA flavor's but feel free to swap out. I guess if I were to try to replicate red touch FA with those flavor's I'd use Stawberry TFA and Strawberry Ripe TFA 3.00/1.50 respectively in their order as written. Hope this turns out great for ya !
I have been looking for a better Tiger's Blood recipe than the one I came up with and I thank you for creating this wonderful recipe! I had to make a few adjustments but I have most of the flavorings in your recipe. I have this in my e-liquid recipe calculator and it's freaking awesome! One of my favorite recipes for an ADV. I'm looking forward to trying out some of your other recipes. Thanks again Amy 🙂
I have all but the pineapple and marshmallow. I'm guessing TPA marshmallow sub is no big deal. What about a TPA pineapple sub? roughly 1% also? thanks.
Mixtard you can it's an easy mix. You could even keep the Sweet SB at the same %s it'll be nice and sweet for you...if u want sweet. If not cut it in half % wise.
I've made this as per the recipe and after 7 days it's nice, but for my taste it is very light and, I guess, summery. It feels a lot lighter than some of the other Tigers Blood recipes out there. It lacks the richness. Any ideas on how to give it a few more teeth?
It is intended for those who use Flavourart flavor's you can increase whichever flavor you'd like to be more prominent. Also substituting flavor's out for the ones you have changes the original recipe. While I do agree this is a milder form of some Tiger's blood. It is summery and fruity. You may do better making it verbatim. Also letting it steep does a great service to its strength.
Hi I just made this today with the same ingredients . I got the flavorings off of Bullcity. I let it sit for an hour and wanted to try it. I filled some up in my smok v8 stick with a new primed coil . And it simply tastes burnt and hurts to inhale . No flavor at all. What am I doing wrong perhaps. I don't get why it would taste burnt . I get it has to steep which i am currently doing but why the burnt taste? Thanks
Wikistepa I've got no clue why it taste burnt to you ? I've not heard that one before unless it's related to your hardware but you mentioned the coil was primed. I'd give it time to steep. It just may not be for you the pineapple by FA can be harsher than most it's possible that flavor may not agree with. I hope it gets better for you. Keep me posted !
@Wikistepa - smok V8 uses that beg baby beast tank which I'm assuming you have. sometimes with a new coil you have to REALLY prime the coil to the point of almost flooding the coil. This juice has a ton a flavor as mixed. If you have another tank (or better yet a dripper) try some of your juice (after a weeks steep) in that tank/dripper. Those "supertanks" are not know for flavor. If it still doesn't have flavor you can know this is not the juice for you.
2 things: 1) "Super tanks" like the big baby beast or any of those tanks that use huge coils that need to be vaped at 75+ watts etc. are not "flavor tanks". they are just to give people tons of vapor and a lot of nicotine - fast. Juice will taste average, at best, in those sorts of tanks - you'll see that if you ever use a "flavor tank". "flavor tanks" like all the Kayfuns or Serpent Mini, SMM Serpent; all those single coil rebuildable tanks and all those MTL tanks. Juice will taste different in a supertank vs. in a flavor tank. Not sure how long you have been vaping, but you may want to have a few mods and a few tanks as you go along. 2) DIY juice is NOT the same as commercial juice. It uses all the same ingredients etc. but commercial juice is made to give you that "in your face" flavoring. The flavor percentages are often very high and there is usually 2-3% sweetener in many commercial juices. Think of it like eating McDonalds all your life. You get used to the "special sauce" and all the additives in your burger. Then you eat a fresh homemade gourmet burger. It might taste odd at first, but then you realize that's bec. it's missing all the MSG and other stuff McDonalds puts in there. Last, recipes should be considered as a base. If you want/need more flavor - add it (within reason). If you like more say pineapple in your juices increase the percentage of it. In the end you are only looking to make juice that tastes good TO YOU. I generally ignore all those comments like "you have to mix this exactly as I say" etc. I change things all the time to suit my personal tastes.
@Geb @Amy*** After letting the juice steep now for 24hours I am getting a real flavor, obviously it will be better with time. I'm a new DIY mixer. But I think I will be getting a more flavor tank or possibly a mech mod as Geb was saying earlier. Thanks for the help!
@Wiki - you can get a mech mod, but it won't do anything about flavor. Your flavor comes from the atomizer and your coil or build. A mech mod is just the power source. Personally I prefer regulated mods. Some juice I like to vape at say 20 watts (in a kayfun) and other juices I like at 40 watts (in a SMM Serpent) and other juices I prefer to drip at 75 watts. With a mech mod you can only vape whatever power is left in your battery.
I am glad it worked out for you @wikisteps I was going to ask about how long you'd been mixing Bc after you've mixed a while you learn certain profiles work better for you. Glad @Geb gave you some good advice on tanks. I wanted to add that I am a MTL vaper so some tanks I use regularly are not nearly as relevant as what most ppl use. As the juice steeps it will get more flavorful. welcome to DIY you should come hang out on the forum side it is full of information and a lot of fun great ppl over there for sure !
Anyone has tried, or can make a guess, on how well would TPA Raspberry (Sweet) replace watermelon? This one is delicious but I want to make a Raspberry juice. I've noticed that many recipes use pineapple+coconut as a base, then add Watermelon+Strawberry (here) or just strawberry (Lava Flow); both are delicious. I was thinking that this base (plus marshmallow, meringue, and/or fresh cream) would be a good base to mix with raspberry. Maybe add Peach? Many recipes combine raspberry and peach, though I wouldn't expect it to be a good combination. Thanks for any suggestion! This would be my first recipe.
Ok. I mixed this up Friday. at 70% vg. After a couple days:
It's quite tasty, the pineapple is noticeable and provides some neat body to the strawberry. The weird note the pineapple had off the bat is gone... but...The coconut and marshmallow are slowly taking over. So here's what I'm going to do next time.
Dropping coconut to 1%
Dropping Marshmallow to .75%
Adding Fresh Cream at .3%
Adding 2 drops of FA Raspberry (beryl) per 30mls to make the sb/watermelon pop a bit
Adding .5% FA Vanilla Tahiti
Thanks a bunch for the recipe. I'll report after the next bottle.
Boogenshizzle The pineapple does start off with that off note but like you said it fades I rarely use FA Pineapple for a pineapple note this is a recipe for those that love to use all FA flavors ! Glad you liked it and found a good adapt cos that’s what it comes down too enjoying what you make and vaping it ! @federete if I were to sub out and add in FA’s Raspberry I’d keep it low as it steeps we’ll stronger than most profiles. If I’d change out and go with TFA well then Raspberry Sweet would be an excellent choice as it juicy and fruity and not crisp and acidic enough to mess up the balance thus the reasoning behind using the marshmallow helps cut acidity down from pineapple ( FA’s ) is way acidic early on for sure and adds sweetness much like the coconut is buffering. I’d like to hear how both of your batches come along !
I've already cooked it. My first recipe! Inspired in Amy's and Boogenshizzle's advice (many thanks) I did the following. Everything remained as in this recipe, except for (long list):
* sub Coconut (FA) with Coconut extra (TPA) at 1% (not 2%)
* sub Pineapple (FA) with Pineapple (TPA)
* sub Red Summer Watermelon (FA) with Raspberry sweet (TPA) at 2%
* slightly reduced the marshmallow (from 1.5% to 1.3%)
All subs are because that's what I have at hand, except for the Raspberry, the reason why I made this juice. I reduced the marshmallow because I want it a bit less sweet and more fruity. I may reduce it further in the future.
So... how does it taste before steeping? As expected it has the horrible plastic taste of Coconut extra (TPA), which needs a couple of days to transform in coconut. Apart of that, it tastes very nice to me. I think these flavours mix very well. The raspberry is maybe too much in the background, let's see after steeping. If it does not get stronger I will top up to 3% or even 4%. I will let you know how it tastes in 2-3 days.
Federete that sounds like it's off to a good start. You can use the button up top under the blue wrench on the right side of the recipe to adapt to mine or you can create your own recipe that way you can make your changes and it can stay private until you feel it's ready to publish. Because honestly your recipe is totally different than mine and I want you to be able to rate it accordingly. It sounds like a great start , since you have plenty TFA there is a very popular Tiger's Blood tjek.nu/r/bqL this one uses TFA mine is made for those using FA which is Flavourart flavoring these are different that TFA and will bring about different tastes. Good Luck with your batches let it steep a week then give it a try coconut extra can be a lil tough prior to steeping but it is a great flavor.
Thanks Amy, I'll create a new recipe. That Tiger's blood seems very different, no coconut, no marshmallow... I will try it, it would be good to compare two versions of Tiger's blood to learn more about DIY. Thanks.
So this was my first mix that ive mixed since i started getting into diy and its great.
I did find the coconut a bit strong so ive just mixed up a 30ml batch to give it a bigger run than the 5ml test batch.
I will defiantly be trying some of your other recipes is there any that would be ur all time favs that i should try first?
Phear I am so happy you enjoyed your first DIY mix ! That is wonderful and you did what I would do as well adapt it to your taste preference. Um as far as my recipes go I pretty much love anything with Strawberries and cream and have vaped that profile daily at least for the last couple years. Not sure if that’s your thing when I first started DIY strawberry was a flavor I had trouble tasting it wasn’t until 2-3 years into that I could appreciate it the way I do today. Cronut is a recipe of mine that many seem to enjoy it’s a bakery profile very but delicious 😋
Amy. I have not found any strawberry vendor juice that I like but I may as well try some diy and see if I enjoy any of them.
I did see your cronut recipe last night and thought it sounds great im missing cheese, custard and doughnut but it looks like I will have to order them as its definitely something I may enjoy. I have around 150 concentrates but it seems like im often missing something. Thanks for the recommendation and keep up the fantastic mixing.
You don't have or know of a nice mango dominant juice by any chance?
Phear thank you for your nice words. I personally am not a huge fan of mango but if you use the search bar and then click on the stars so they’ll rate the recipe that has the best ratings you can filter thru them. Also when u use the search bar be sure to include the vendor you are using so it won’t bring up every mango under the sun. As for concentrates there will always be 1 or 2 that always seems to be missing that’s when the shopping list comes in handy add them to it over time and when u go shopping pop back over to ELR and see what your list is like of course it’ll always be more list than money if you’re like most of us but building a great stash is half the fun ! You are free to adapt any of my recipes according to your stash but that is saying you are making an unknown recipe meaning I can not personally vouch for it lol but then again that is the beauty of DIY have fun and make stuff you love to vape !
Your welcome. That is a great idea about adding it to the shopping list rather than having to write them down.
Thats very true as everyone's tastes are different so even substituting flavors could end up being something nice too.
I actually have a hard time finding adv's that I really enjoy plus diy being cheaper will be much better once ive found a few adv's and either stop there or may continue to try different mixes.
Amy, how did you do to start enjoying strawberry juices? I had enjoyed some commercial ones but have been totally unsuccessful making strawberry creams/mikshakes/etc myself (meaning copying some popular recipes here)
Amy I just wanted to come back and say ive nearly vaped 100ml of this which is great but I just found it was almost lacking something to make it awesome for me.
I just put 5ml aside from the pre steeped batch and added 0.5% tfa dragonfruit and 0.75% fa fuji apple.
As a snv its fantastic but I will probably bump up the df to 0.75 or 1% and I think it will be absolutely fantastic for me.
Obviously taste is subjective but I would highly recommend giving at least the Fuji a try in it if you still vape this.
Im very glad I decided to really give diy a decent try as im finding this so much better than shop juices so thanks again mate.
Amy, am STILL loving this simple (ALL from one Manufacturer ?? !!!!) recipes, it's THAT good. I lazily didn't comment on it before, but thanks for sharing this work of art. I've bounced between FA Pineapple and INW with similar results. I'm not sure if you're still lurking, but, if you were, have you ever tried, or considered using LA Watermelon ?? I have the colorless, and I'm almost sure it's "louder" than the FA version, but am not sure what percentage it could be subbed in, without overtaking the mix.
Hey SessionDrummer you can use whatever flavor you want knowing it will yield a different response than my recipe of course. LA watermelon colorless is very loud as you suggested haha I’d start it off around 1.50 it does shine bright but you may like the watermelon to be the most abundant if so go for 2.00 then steep. I still pop in every once and a while. I’m working on a few new recipes here’s hoping I find time to complete them and actually post them it’s been a while. Hope u have fun with your Remix ! And LA Pineapple is better than both FA or INW in terms of sweetness and flavor , loud too I would start it off around 1.00. Hmm you may have me working on a LA version hee hee ! Take care.
Created a account so I could thank you for sharing. Tastes great in every rig I've tried it with. Made two batches 80/20 2%nic and 50pg/50vg 14%nic for the wife "shes still uses Cisco drip tips". Swapped strawberry and watermelon for Capella brand. Taste is slightly dominated by the coconut but after a day of steeping the pineapple kicks in. One of our go to juices thanks again!
This is my go to juice! A very nice shake and vape as you might expect but the flavours really come together after a proper steep. Definitely to my taste and a great ADV.
Just bumped into this as using coconut flavor for the 1st time. Perfect combination wit Pineapple and watermelon. Thanks Amy, clouding it all day long and can't have it enough....

@ Ace.... original FA flavours all have expiry dates stamped on labels. Did you check those?
How have you been storing those flavours? In cold and dark or?
Amy, another winner from you! This one is super yummy! Good after one week, better after two; it's going to be a challenge to see how it is longer than that as it is difficult to put down. This has to be one of the only juices I've had with pineapple in it that isn't like vaping hot sandpaper. Thank you again for all of your hard work!
i did not try flavour art watermelon yet, i will try to mix this one and one more the same but with basis watermelon flavour about 1.5%, it is my favorite watermelon atm. Thanks.
Made this around 2 weeks ago, and the taste is very good. I use to use and love the White Label Tiger's Blood (until they changed to a nic that left a really bad black pepper aftertaste), and it's very similar to that. However, the throat hit is too much for me. Decided to post this not as a complaint but because there might be others who can't handle throaty eliquids - and also maybe it will be a positive draw for those who love a good throat hit.
I ordered the flavor pack for this from bull city flavors.
I did a shake and Vape and I was pretty excited, love the slight tropical flavor it has. I will definitely add this to my daily rotation. Great recipe!
Mixed up a batch 2 days ago. After bottling it smelled strongly of the fruit flavors and then after about a day the marshmallow started coming through. Decided to try it on day 2 and the marshmallow is basically all I can taste now. Hoping it takes a back seat after more steep time.
Would you recommend the same ratios for a 50/50 MTL Eliquid mix? I always feel like mtl needs way more flavoring to get a decent taste out of the eliquid. What are your stands on that?
