I was hoping to get this done with just one concentrate but taking the hard cracked toffee too high resulted in too much coffee, I tried FW salted caramel and it was too rough by the time I got it high enough for the same caramel taste so I chose chefs choice/CCW and it worked out perfectly, there was a slight fresh cream/milk note in the original so I added 1% fresh cream. The 1st revision I made had 2% super sweet in it but the sweetness was at the front and in the original it came after the coffee/caramel so I reduced the super sweet to 0.75 and added the marshmallow which seems to layer the sweetener in the same way as the original does. This is 95% there if I fucked with the %’s a bit more I could get it 100% but it would be fiddly and so much of this clone/remix game comes down to perception and you can’t please everyone but I’m happy enough to put it out there and say “can you do better?” :)
I know there is probably some difference in concentrates between the original and the remix but it’s that close why be picky 😆
Absolutely gorgeous recipe, can't compare to the original as I haven't tried it but this is brilliant in its own right. The coffee isn't overbearing and blends nice with the salted caramel. Be warned, it's very sweet though and a bit of a coil wrecker but worth it in my opinion.
Thank you for the review and for taking the time to mix it up 😊 yeh it’s definitely sweet but keep in mind that there is 0.75% of super sweet in there that can be removed :)
I like coffee vapes & whilst I've never had the original, this is a really good coffee juice. The coffee isn't overpowering. It's really good, thanks Nick ☕
This after a couple of weeks steep is very creamy! I must admit the coffee notes have dropped out however its still very nice! What could you add to give that slight coffee note again?
Missing CCW Salted Caramel. So, I have mixed this up twice with FW Salted Caramel at 5.25% and added FA Caramel at 0.50% to help compensate for the recipe's desired 8% of CCW Salted Caramel, the missing concentrate in my stash. Even with my subs, I like it so much and enjoying the second bottle as I write. For me, it's a 5 STAR recipe and thought I should show some love to the creator for his generous efforts with a review.
I must say, this is a really nice smooth "coffee-ish" type vape loaded with flavor and quite satisfying! A quick steep too. I really like it with my subs, but I must try Nick's official version... so CCW's Salted Caramel is in my shopping cart.
I'm on day 3, and while it's quite good already, it's a little thin, missing some body IMO. Will this get better with longer steep, or will it stay the same?
Nick, just wondering if FW Sweetener @.5 instead of SS and its citric acid would improve the mix.. I'll try both, it's been two years since I wanted to do this 1, but all my tests never succeded, now that chef's found a way for EU, I got the infamous salted caramel (FW doesn't work at all and not a point of harshness, it just doesn't!!!) and will do it as been (you) told.. Ahahah
