Notes

A typical UK tinned custard all thanks to Molinberry legendary custard, while I do like a custard vape I’ve always felt there’s been something missing from custard concentrates and they’ve never really tasted to what I consider a true custard, until now... MB legendary custard opens the door to a true English tinned custard, smelling the concentrate for the first time it smelt too good to be true and then I licked it, POW! ambrosia custard...

I start with a healthy dose of legendary custard to lay the foundation, backed up with FA premium to get more of that rich custard, the Devon cream adds a touch of milkyness while also keeping the whole mix rich... sugar cookie helps the thick mouthfeel and sweetener because who doesn’t want a sweet custard :)

I’ve been vaping this for a few days and now I’ve run out, I’ve made some more and hoping to let it steep this time although everything in this recipe is a quick steeper, even the Legendary custard.

If you like what I do and this mix then please rate and review :)

I'll be trying this for defo, thanks 👍
#2 by JTC, Jun 10. 2019, 22:54
Oh wow that legendary does not look easy to get and expensive lol
I hope it's as special as you say. Anywhere in UK have it?
#3 by Heart, Jun 11. 2019, 02:13
I don’t see Legendary Custard for sale in the USA. Maybe Chefs will carry it? Or order directly from MB.
#4 by James Holden , Jun 11. 2019, 10:01
This sounds really good once I can get hold of the elusive Legendary Custard, thanks @Nevans for sharing this. @JTC I’m in the UK too and the only place I can find that sells this flavour is from the Molinberry site itself, hopefully it will be available elsewhere soon.
#5 by JTC, Jun 11. 2019, 10:26
Yes I've ordered from molinberry as 99% of Nevans recipes I can honestly say are amazing.Must be worth the gamble of buying a few lol
#6 by Peter, Jun 11. 2019, 11:57
Where I can buy Devon creme in UK I don't see on cheffs
#7 by JTC, Jun 11. 2019, 12:08
@Peter Chefs Choice are CCW
#8 by James Holden , Jun 11. 2019, 21:27
@JTC I agree with you about Nevans recipes, they are very good judging from what I have already tried and when I get some spare cash I’m going to order that Legendary Custard flavour. I wouldn’t be surprised if Chefs doesn’t stock it before too long but I don’t know if I can wait for that lol.
#9 by James Holden , Jun 11. 2019, 21:29
@Peter I bought my CCW Devon Cream from a registered seller on eBay and I didn’t have to pay for postage either.
#10 by Nevans, Jun 11. 2019, 21:50
Thanks for all the interest guys and chefs will surely stock it, it’s just a matter of when ;) i’ll Let you all know when that time comes
#11 by James Holden , Jun 11. 2019, 23:43
Thanks mate 👍
#12 by Daytimefrank , Jun 15. 2019, 06:44

#15 by Nevans, Jun 19. 2019, 01:07
Tam, did you mix it? :)
#16 by Tam Vapes, Jun 19. 2019, 15:09
Nevans...It is mixed, it needs a nap, then I will take a taste. :)
#17 by Heart, Jun 19. 2019, 15:25
I can’t wait until Chef’s stocks the MB Legendary Custard, sigh....
#18 by Heart, Jun 19. 2019, 16:25
OMG! A dear soul sent me a bottle of Nickbrosia mixed as a surprise as I just came out of hospital & cant get MB Legendary Custard in the USA now. Just finger tasted & it’s yum! @wildgypsy thank you! 😘

@Tam Vapes so awesome! Touched my heart for sure as it was a total surprise!
#21 by Heart, Jun 19. 2019, 16:48
Going to give it a few days to steep but if finger taste is any indication this is going to be a winner Nick!
#22 by Tam Vapes, Jun 21. 2019, 00:24
Never had the Ambrosia Custard, but this is really good. Excellent, definitely needs the overnight steep. and I am sure it will only get better
Well done Ωhmie .
#23 by Heart, Jun 21. 2019, 03:10
@Tam Vapes oooo wonderful news mine is 4 days steeped. I’ll vape it this weekend! I’m so excited!

#25 by Tam Vapes, Jul 9. 2019, 14:59
@heart i vaped mine again after a couple of weeks steep, and it was divine.
#26 by Heart, Jul 9. 2019, 15:18
@Tam Vapes Nick has hit the ball out of the park with this one!
#27 by James Holden , Jul 9. 2019, 17:57
I’m trying to wait patiently for Chefs to get the Legendary Custard in as I checked the Molinberry shop and it would cost me nearly eight quid just for the postage of a 10ml bottle to the UK 🙁
#28 by JTC, Jul 9. 2019, 18:04
Mine will be 2 weeks old this Friday so me thinks I'll have me a weekend treat 😁
#29 by James Holden , Jul 9. 2019, 18:07
@JTC all right don’t rub it in you lucky so and so 😂
#30 by JTC, Jul 9. 2019, 18:34

#31 by Nevans, Jul 9. 2019, 22:33
Guys, cheers for all the comments/feedback/appraisal... glad you’re all liking it. Chefs had a delivery today but legendary wasn’t in the order, unsure why but I believe they are getting it I just don’t know when ❤️
#32 by Heart, Jul 9. 2019, 22:58
@nevans thanks for the update on Chefs. I checked this morning & yep sure enough Legendary Custard isn’t there yet.
#33 by James Holden , Jul 10. 2019, 10:10
Oh well 😔
#34 by Nevans, Jul 10. 2019, 21:55
Sorry guys :(
#35 by PAPACHiGLY, Jul 12. 2019, 20:35
Just sublime Nick! The notes are exactly how you describe it, Ambrosia custard... Wow! It went straight into my squonk tube on the topside. Now I'm in custard heaven 😊 Thanks for sharing.
#36 by Nevans, Jul 19. 2019, 00:20
Thank you papa! Thanks for taking the time to mix it and leaving feedback ❤️
#37 by JTC, Jul 23. 2019, 16:49
Really nice and rich this one. For some reason I've stopped being able to taste custards properly over the years, but this one has hit the spot. I've done 50ml over a few days and really enjoyed it. Thanks for your expertise again. Best custard I've tried to date!
#38 by Nevans, Jul 24. 2019, 00:19
Thanks for the kind comments and feedback, and also thanks for the continued support and mixing of my recipes ❤️
#39 by Lounge Lizard, Aug 5. 2019, 12:01
Ordered 20ml from molinberry direct, due to arrive today :) already got 120ml bottle made up with everything else to get a head start on steeping, always felt a bit disapointed that nothing tasted like a uk custard so looking forward to this will comment again tonight once tested
#40 by Lounge Lizard, Aug 8. 2019, 01:08
spot on nick this is uk custard and tastes amazing :)
#41 by Nevans, Aug 8. 2019, 07:17

#42 by ric67, Aug 17. 2019, 12:50
This is pretty awesome. Still gotta work out if i can tweak all the flavours to suit my mtl setups but really liking this.
#43 by James Holden , Aug 17. 2019, 19:53
At long last I have my bottle of Legendary Custard and I’m excited to mix this recipe up tonight, I will be back when it’s had a good steep with my rating but I already have a strong feeling it’s going to be five stars from me.
#44 by Molinberry, Aug 20. 2019, 14:42

#49 by Peter, Aug 22. 2019, 19:20
I bought 100 ml legendary custard today so I will mix this but still have to buy Devon cream. Can I use fresh cream (FA) instead???
#50 by detoxx, Aug 25. 2019, 08:17
anyone after devon cream amazon sell 100ml for 8 quid with free delivery. not sure to the usa though

#51 by James Holden , Aug 26. 2019, 20:52
I didn’t get the time to mix it up before now but I’ve just made a 60ml bottle, now to wait patiently for it to steep, how long would you guys recommend for it to be at its best please?
#52 by JTC, Aug 26. 2019, 23:34
Couple of weeks and it's good,At 6 weeks it's bloody fantastic!
The richest custard I've tried in 10 years of vaping 😋
#53 by Heart, Aug 26. 2019, 23:39
Wow @JTC you can wait 6 weeks? Kudos to you! 👍
#54 by JTC, Aug 27. 2019, 00:00
Oh I make large batches of my favourites 😁
#55 by James Holden , Aug 27. 2019, 10:37
Thank you @JTC,6 weeks it is then👍I have quite a lot of other juice that is ready to vape in my rotation so it’s not a problem to me and patience is a virtue as as they say. I am very excited to try this one though especially after what you said about it being the richest custard you have tried in 10 years...wow. I also did the lick test with the Legendary Custard and yes it’s definitely Ambrosia,it triggered memories of being at my Nans for tea when she’d serve this custard with a huge helping of jam or treacle suet pudding which was a specialty of hers.😋
#56 by coFF33, Sep 9. 2019, 06:21
I wish Australia could have CCW Devon Cream in stock somwhere, its in a LOT of my kinda recipes but i can never find it :'(

#57 by JTC, Sep 9. 2019, 07:13
Look on amazon @coFF33
#58 by coFF33, Sep 12. 2019, 09:47
Mixed with Devon Cream CCW subbed with :
1.5% TFA Bavarian Cream
0.5% CAP Butter Cream

Fingers crossed!
#59 by jason_UK, Sep 14. 2019, 10:21
Mixed this up on the 25th of August and tried it as snv and could Not taste much and then after a few weeks steep and I gotta say still not much taste, I bought 100ml of legendary so hope I can find some use for it, I know taste is subjective and I have always found nick's mixes tasty but personally found this one to be the most tasteless although I will leave the the other 50ml to steer longer and then leave another comment
Thanks again nick for the great mixes (sorry for the not so great one for this i am just giving my own personal opinion)
#60 by JTC, Sep 14. 2019, 10:25
Oh wow @jason_UK I'm absolutely astonished that you don't taste this.It really is amazing how much difference there is in people's tastes 😳
#61 by jason_UK, Sep 14. 2019, 11:43
@JTC i really don't mate, every few toots I do get the slightest taste
Maybe it's the rta's I dunno but I gotta say I'm nick's defence I think it's more to do with my taste than his mixes like I said in my last comment it was my own personal opinion on this mix, I love his honeycomb custard gonna try his custard base, maybe I should remake this one and just adjust the total percentage and make it a bit stronger
#62 by Heart, Sep 14. 2019, 12:07
@jason_UK remixing it @ a higher % is a great idea. This is so yummy for me even off the shake. And don’t worry about using your 100ml of Legendary Custard Nick has a lot of recipes that uses it.
#63 by lukeloop, Sep 21. 2019, 09:50
steeping now, took me a while to get to this one, look forward to it. thanks bro.
#64 by coFF33, Sep 21. 2019, 09:52
This tastes like the vanilla pudding powder you get in packets to mix up and make pudding, but instead of actually making the pudding you use a spoon and eat the powder straight out of the packet.
#65 by lukeloop, Sep 24. 2019, 10:52
A warm vanilla condensed milk from a can. What else can anyone want. It is only dry for the first few days on the exhale and then smooths out and thickens up as it steeps, only steeped 3 days so far but has come along really well, you can't go wrong here these are some of the best concentrates around. Mix it up.
#66 by Heart, Sep 24. 2019, 13:11
@lukeloop I agree! This recipe is divine!
#67 by Dave_S, Oct 2. 2019, 12:13
Been chuffing on this for several weeks now, another fantastic one Nick, real English custard!...top job!
#68 by Nevans, Oct 4. 2019, 08:07
THANK YOU GUYS!!!!! :D ❤️
#69 by HLV, Oct 4. 2019, 08:43
I love This Custard !!!
#70 by JTC, Oct 4. 2019, 09:11
I also love this custard. I tried a little adaption by dropping the sugar cookie and adding 5 tpa nana nutbread and 2 tpa nana cream. Delicious 😊
#71 by James Holden , Oct 5. 2019, 11:29
@JTC that sounds good,I will have to try that the next time I make another batch of this one.👍
#72 by Lisekristin, Oct 20. 2019, 13:28
This is absolutely wonderful! It's smooth, not overly sweet, great vanilla custard!
#73 by Nevans, Oct 25. 2019, 01:23
Thanks everyone! Glad you all enjoy it... it’s a pleasure to create recipes for people that take the time to not only mix my recipes but leave feedback aswell :D ❤️
#74 by Lisekristin, Dec 31. 2019, 16:08
Absolutely wonderful! In my ADV rotation
#75 by Jon, Jan 7. 2020, 22:11
This stuff is amazing nick absolutely gorgeous, keep up the good work mate 👍
#76 by James Holden , Jan 11. 2020, 06:49
Well I vaped the whole bottle of this over the Christmas and I thoroughly enjoyed it,it was also great in my MTL RTA’s which is a big plus to me as some custard recipes I’ve tried needed the extra power of a DTL atty to come through but not this one. The extra long steep that I gave this recipe really paid off and was well worth it and I will definitely be making more. Thank you @Nevans for yet another fantastic recipe and a Happy New Year to you mate.
#77 by Heartless, Feb 1. 2020, 18:31
Had to sub the Devon Cream for the VTA version but straight off the mix it's incredible. Will try and steep it for a few weeks as it can only get better. Thanks Nick
#78 by Nevans, Feb 4. 2020, 23:38
Heartless, the only problem with subbing in VTA Devon cream is that it has a chocolate note, but if that’s your thing then cool 😎 let me know how you find it.

And thank you all of you that have mixed this up and left feedback :)
#79 by Jbez, Feb 15. 2020, 05:38
This sounds wonderful Nick! Is there anything that I can use to sub for Devon Cream? Thank you in advance mate!
#80 by KingBellyBuddha, Feb 15. 2020, 05:58
Same question Nick, can Devon cream ccw be replaced with Devon cream vt? I can easily get the vt version, but the ccw version through an Amazon buy will run me 5 times the price of vt
#81 by Nevans, Feb 17. 2020, 22:09
Ccw is the same as chefs choice :)
#82 by Charlie, Mar 14. 2020, 21:25
Beautiful blend - highly recommended.
#83 by Nevans, Mar 15. 2020, 00:48
Thank you Charlie ❤️

Thank you guys, much appreciated. ❤️
#88 by Zugmaschine, Jun 7. 2020, 16:58
After 5 days steeping, a rich, creamy, mily, bright Custard. I like it much. Thanks for the recipe.
#89 by Redline 8286, Jun 7. 2020, 23:23
Really good even right after mixing. Can't wait to see how it tastes after steeping a lil while. Thanks Nick
#90 by Nevans, Jun 8. 2020, 11:06
Thanks guys 😊 appreciate the feedback and ratings ❤️
#91 by Azzer, Jul 20. 2020, 15:21
It's 5 stars from me, creamy goodness in vape. Keep em coming. 😊
#92 by Stevebig'O', Aug 2. 2020, 12:17
I’ve been mixing for almost 9 years and love Custard Vape’s, I have a few good ones that i keep in rotation, recently purchased Legendary because of this recipe, it is a game changer... well done Nick, for me it’s a completely different Custard, A very creamy goodness but keeps that Custard feel... this will be a regular adv 👌
I feel a revisit to my Custard Biscuit recipe is needed 🤔
#93 by Meh, Oct 29. 2020, 07:12
this is the best custard i have found so far on ELR or ATF. Ive made dozens and dozens
#94 by JTC, Oct 29. 2020, 07:31
Meh, you should try his lemon meringue. Absolutely the best ever 👍👍😊
#95 by Rob, Dec 4. 2020, 15:56
I've been struggling for months to find a custard I can taste. I've had several oneshots, and a whole bunch of top recipes on here, but eventually concluded that I suffer from custard blindness, to me they all come out flavourless, dry and a bit rough even after lengthy steeps.

Came across this one and thought it was worth a shot since nothing I'd tried had used Legendary Custard or Custard Premium before. Mixed it 24hrs ago, and having just given it a try it really hits the spot! That lovely smooth custard creaminess that's utterly lacking from all the others I've attempted is present in abundance here. Looking forward to seeing how it develops over the next days and weeks.

Thank you so much for this recipe, for me it's achieved the impossible! With this I don't have to accept my fate among the custard blind any more.
#96 by Rob, Dec 4. 2020, 15:57
I should add that chefs didn't have CCW Devon Cream in stock last time I restocked, but I subbed for TFA Bavarian Cream and it still came out lovely.
#97 by Nevans, Dec 4. 2020, 18:20
Thanks buddy :) yeah tfa Bavarian is a suitable sub for CCW/CC Devon cream, it just adds a touch more of a buttery feel
#98 by Aaronmix, Feb 18. 2021, 15:46
Mixed this today and added 3% vta honeycomb on the haka mech with apocalypse 24 and dual fraliens and must say @Nevans another good one here
#99 by Nevans, Feb 18. 2021, 15:59
Thanks buddy 😊
#100 by Rob, Mar 16. 2021, 07:58
A little 3 month update, this recipe has become an absolute crutch!

If I've got ahead of myself and don't have any juice mixed up, this bad boy can be whipped up and vaped immediately for full satisfaction. And it's a custard!

This recipe is a proper modern classic. Firmly in the ADV rotation.
#101 by Nevans, Mar 18. 2021, 02:13
Thanks rob!! ☺️☺️
#102 by Gil45, Apr 23. 2021, 02:40
Fantastic mix! Delicious and easy to vape all day. One I'll come back to again and again. Well done, Nick!
#103 by Nevans, Apr 23. 2021, 11:56
Thank you very much 😊
#104 by SirBazyl, Oct 26. 2021, 01:51
Please help!!! What can I sub Devon cream with??? Impossible to get that stuff in USA and Amazon UK won’t ship
#105 by Nevans, Oct 26. 2021, 02:18
JF Bavarian :)
#106 by chris, Sep 19. 2025, 23:49
All I vape is custards and I must say this is in my top three favorite recipes of all time. I had to change one ingredient and that was the Devon Cream. I subbed LA Cream Cheese Icing at the same percentage which adds a layer of creamy sweetens. This is such an amazing recipe I had to give a review. My advice for those that don't have Devon Cream is to substitute with LA Cream cheese icing. You won't regret it.
