**Feel free to sub the TFA VBIC for the Hangsen French Vanilla Ice Cream @1% and bump the TFA Strawberry to 3% for a closer version now that the HS ingredient was discovered. That said, this recipe as written is still so damn close that change is minimal.**
Rose milk by Diy or Die was hands down the best S&C that I tried and I knew after my first 30ml concentrate was gone as fast as I got it...I had to try and nail this down. This isn't a 1:1 clone, but it's very close in profile IMO. If you like S&C, try this and you won't be disappointed. I also must stress you try the original for yourself... Enjoy!
Strawberry:
As soon as I tried RM, I recognized the strawberry profile. I vaped My Dude (Also DOD) for a long time and there was a similarity between these two. I feel RM was more "candied" so I toned back the TPA strawberry a bit to keep this in that realm of strawberry and I feel the 4:2 ratio is very close.
Ice Cream:
TFA VBIC is such a great vanilla ice cream, and for the ones that get a pepper taste I truly feel for you. It has such a rich creamy vanilla note that carries so well into vapor. It's a very satisfying mouth feel that fills this mix out. I settled on 2% only because I was trying to keep it from fighting with the cheesecake too much.
Cheesecake:
I love CAP NY cheesecake. It's the best offering and for this profile it works perfectly. It's a creamy, but not too pungent flavor that can be creamed up and sweetened easily with other dairy flavors. At higher percentages you can get that footy flavor that's more like an authentic cheesecake, but this is a Cheesecake Ice Cream so 4% with a bit of sweet cream to help bridge the creams together and a hint of CAP VC V1 to give it a bit of egg weight and that good heavy vanilla flavor...But not too much. I'm not certain sweet cream or VCV1 are in the original, it might only be French vanilla but this works very well. The crust was a bit hard to pin point. I went with GCC because it was more of the cereal graham cracker and matched this sweet dessert profile. My version with FW was really good too but I don't think it's in there, I get a certain note from that and I'm not picking it up in the original. I also tried just CAP sugar cookie but trying to keep the entire mix at 15% isn't possible going that route. Plus the GCC was honestly the best option by taste.
Summary:
The original RM is sugar lips sweet, but in a good way. It needs to be to match the profile correctly. I went with .5% SS which makes it pretty sweet, but I do believe the original might be a hair sweeter. I could absolutely be wrong and it's only .5% as well but it seems sweeter. Who knows, I could be wrong about all of this but let me just say this is damn good and matches the original profile pretty close to me. I suppose I could keep working on it and probably sort out if it's VCV1 or French vanilla, hone in the crust a bit better, and whatever else might be off a bit...But I don't need to. I'll never hit it exact (no one will) and this is awesome so wanted to share.
