Hi @Dan the Man I hope you don’t mind me asking but what’s the difference in this version compared to the others that you published? I’m wondering which one I should mix now 😂

Hi Lucas James Holden; They are very similar no doubt. The Torrone does change the taste of this one. It's sweeter and more decadent. It's more "Custardy," for a lack of a better term.

@Dan the Man that sounds great to me,I shall definitely be mixing this up along with the others as I’m sure I will enjoy all three variations. Thank you for getting back to me and answering my question, much appreciated. I shall be back with my stars when I’ve mixed them and they have had a decent steep.👍

You are welcome sir.

@Lucas James Holden; I curious to know how you liked it? Even if you hated it, I would like to know what you didn't like. I am not easily offended and this for sure wouldn't offend me.

Peace

Hi mate, I am so sorry but I never actually got around to mixing this recipe and I can’t for the life of me think why, I also can’t find it anywhere in my recipe lists so I will add it now and mix it after Christmas when I have my next mixing session. This has puzzled me a bit because when I say I will do something I usually do. Anyhow I hope you have a very nice Christmas mate and I wish you all the best for the new year. I will come back in the new year with my thoughts.

Shoot, I know exactly how that goes. No prob. Mate.

Thank you for the recipe. A very good combination of two creams and a sponge cake. What other options have you tried instead of nuts?
#9 by Blakviking, Feb 16. 2021, 19:45
Очень хорошо, 30мл выпарил за 2 дня

Blakviking; thanks for the comment man. I have been on a nut kick lately and have been purchasing every nut I can find.
I use that combination in a lot of different recipes. For example, a fruity cheesecake, or just add raspberry or strawberry or whatever you like.

Mostly, I like to keep my fruits away from my creams and custards. For me, I like earth custards and light fruits.

Well I did eventually get to mix this little treasure up and I bloody well enjoyed it too. I mixed this on the 7/4/21 and only opened it this last week so it’s had a damn good steep and I was pleasantly surprised because I didn’t really know what to expect as it’s the first time that I have used Torrone. I thought it might taste lemony because…well it’s FA and they put lemon in many of their flavors but no lemon thank goodness 😅 Thank you mate for creating and sharing your great recipes with us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to @ James Holden, my missing this one previously, will now NOT be an issue. Thanks for sharing this Dan, and thanks James.

No problem @SessionDrummer, that’s part of the reason why leaving a review is so important to me and it’s the least I can do to show appreciation to the creator.

@dantheman, What would you advise "If any" on swapping out the Custard Premium (FA) for something else- as I don't have that flavor in the arsenal yet. Thanks!!
#16 by Zugmaschine, Aug 16. 2021, 16:27
@D.Sims The most people say TPA Vanilla Custard V2 is similar to FA Custard Premium. Maybe use 1.5%.
#17 by Dan the Man, Aug 17. 2021, 15:35
@D.Sims Somehow I missed your question and I apologize for that. Zugmaschine's advice is sound. I've not used it but people like it. I would go for something eggy. I used to use Capella's Vanilla Custard V1 when I wanted eggy until I discovered FA's premium custard.

Thanks guys. I'm just whipping her up now. Will bud the FA w/ the TPA V2. 🤘🤘

I hope you enjoy it, my friend. It would be very cool if you came back and rated it. Even if it's a one-star, which will not offend me in any way.

#20 by D.Sims, Nov 2. 2021, 11:07
No problem Dan. I'll give it a few day steep- and have at it. 🤘🤘
#21 by Dan the Man, Nov 2. 2021, 13:16
Oh man, it's not that big a deal my man. I would steep it a min. of 2 weeks at least but you know what you like and when to vape shit so I'll leave it to you, my friend. 😁✌
#22 by D.Sims, Nov 2. 2021, 14:32
I'll let it go 4 weeks Dan-O. Will report back after that. 🙏

After heroically waiting for 3 weeks, finally cracked this open - and I love it! Thanks for the recipe, Dan.
