The second version of my custard-filled doughnut. Cupacke Batter and Nonna's cake make of the doughnut. Cream cheese, and the Vanilla Custard are the sweet creamy inside. Zepolla gives this the fried taste.
Zeppola is a fried dough and it works well with a tad of Joy to bring out that doughnut flavor, I will warn that joy has to steep or it will end up tasting like stale beer LOL
