This recipe is the morning pancake with maple and butter on top... Just like mom made Sunday mornings. First you can NOT sub any flavors. TPA Maple(not the Maple Syrup) is alcohol based... So I recommend putting10-20mls in a separate container with the cap off for 48 hours to let the alcohol evaporate off. The result will be- no alcohol taste in the finishes product. I've tried every maple made and they all suck except this one. It's also critical the FW VBN is used- no other will compare. Lastly, the Caramel(original) TPA melds the VBN and Maple together as butter would for the real thing. Overbite steep is all that's required. Oh, BTW I've tried this at max VG and even 30pg 70vg and it works/tastes best at 40 pg 60vg
Thank you ! It is a fantastic recipe in which now I am going to the forum and linking this. 5 stars heck 10 stars all the way. In your face pancakes and maple syrup yummo ! 😘
And for everyone who cares Yes I have made this Blax shared it with me and It is a wonderful recipe. Give it a shot... no substituting it has to be as written.
Thanks Amy for your compliment.
Note: if you prefer to have your pancakes a little sweeter, Add 2% TPA Sweetner. This will give the over-all mix a Ooie-Gooie quality. Also, I recant the previous note in regards to pg/VG ratio, you can go max VG with 2 days steep time.
This develops into a fantastic finished flavour after a 2 week steep. Smooth pancake type flavour with a gentle hint of vanilla and the sweetness of the maple compliments the finished flavour.
Definitely worth giving it the 2 week steep I found as the vanilla is still very strong after a week but dies down massively with the longer steep
Who would have thought butternut would give such a fine bakery type finished flavour.
I had to sub, considering my stash. Went with 1% Maple Syrup FA, and added 0.5% Erythritol (5% solution in VG) rather than sucralose. It came out pretty damn good. I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks 4 the recipe, I'll give it a go as written eventually.
Thanks NiJo for the kind words, glad your enjoying it(slightly varied). I have made it that way, on the mixing journey. I strongly recommend mixing it the original way as it is leaps and bounds better with TPA Maple(NOT the syrup). You can purchase it directly from TPA-https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6688-maple-flavor.aspx
This is proppa pancakes it doesn't get much closer. It's going to be my goto pancake Base I will try with creams n sweetners possibly brown sugar but the taste from this is absolutely spot on. Well done mate 👏
When I used FA Maple Syrup I thought it tasted great as a shake n vape. But over time the FA Maple Syrup flavor seemed to fade, so I didn't reach for the bottle to drip anymore. Could be just me, I'm curious to hear if anyone else experiences that problem.
Has anyone attempted to adapt this using the Maple Deluxe from TPA? USPS no longer ships Maple because of the alcohol content. It appears the Deluxe does not contain alcohol so would not cost $17 to ship a single 4ml bottle.
I love the juice pancake man so was looking for a good base to start this clone of I think this would sound grate with some TPA ripe strawberry and TPA whipped cream what is you guys thoughts on this but I will also whip up the original as written to see what all the fuss is about this juice got everything on its way in the post 🙂
VERY tasty :) only bad thing is the high amount of acetoin in FW's vanilla butternut not to mention the fructose content! sadly this a pure coil killer and 14% is very high, ive been trying to sub vanilla butternut for months now and i think i've got as close as im going to get! whilst it doesnt taste exactly the same, this is very close and just as tasty IMO, so for those trying to avoid the diketones and sugar try this:
5% TFA french vanilla creme
2% FA vienna cream
1% FA cream fresh
1% FW creamy hazelnut
1% FW natural butterscotch
3% TFA maple
0.2% TFA acetyl pyrazine(5%)
@xalBBlax Thanks, I went ahead and just threw it in the mix anyways last night. Will let it steep out for a few days. I did taste it though without the Maple in it and wow, it's good. Can only imagine with the Maple added it will be that much better. Awesome recipe.
Dude. I let it steep overnight. The maple and butter are absolutely spot on. I feel the pancake from the butternut needs a bit longer to steep in but I can't set it down. I already made 240mls to steep. Lol. Definitely 5 stars.
I'm with @PatriotModsLiquid... mixed it exactly and let it steep overnight. It's buttery maple goodness. It's going to be fantastic after the full steep. I also made 250mls and I don't regret it. I'm glad I got the ingredients in 4oz sizes. If anyone is a maple pancake person, this is THE easiest version, just control yourself long enough to let it breath and steep. Thanks xalBBlax!
@xalBBlax, thought I had commented on this mix, but had not. Great one you got here, and I have no clue how you figured out to use Vanilla Butternut, but it works !! 5/5.
