I need to make this ! I hope I can get some time to mix today. It looks fignastic 😘
#2 by DarthVapor, Nov 18. 2015, 20:10
Thanks! I can't wait for it to steep more!! Right now it is still to "fresh" for me and I get a little of everything. I may pull back on the fuji/pear to .6 not .8 but I'm waiting a little longer first because it may steep on point
#3 by DarthVapor, Nov 18. 2015, 20:11
Also I'm thinking of raising the fig to 2.8....patience is not my strong suit ;)
#4 by Amy***, Nov 18. 2015, 20:21
Me either ha I hate to wait ! I recently mixed with fig too must be the weather change wanted some hardy fruits. So you think I should just mix as is you do the .6?
#5 by DarthVapor, Nov 18. 2015, 21:53
I think it will be fine where it's at, I must have gotten a few hot spots where I could taste the pair or Apple instead of it just being there for juiciness. I think I just didn't let it steep long enough before I tried it because I only got that flavor 1 out of 10x. I just made a 30ml batch of it and I did raise the Fig up to 2.8 but thats my preference
#6 by Amy***, Nov 19. 2015, 03:18
Steeping :-)
#7 by spinner, Nov 19. 2015, 22:07
I don't have the shisha vanilla or know what it tastes like? Can anyone recommend a good sub for this? It sounds amazing and I want to make it, NOW! lol
#8 by DarthVapor, Nov 19. 2015, 22:18
Not to sound rude but why did you rate this if you haven't made it yet?? lol I appreciate the confidence and all, just curious ;)
As far as the shisha vanilla goes, the only person I know that has it, is the lovely Amy. All I can say about it, is, it's a very thick/heavy vanilla that comes off almost like van pudding? I really can't think of a perfect substitution for this one.
Play around with maybe a french vanilla? or a combo of bav crm @ 1-1.5% with another vanilla? Vanillin and bav MAY work too...sorry bud

Figs !! Delicious I really like combo of the biscuit and figs and a nice helping of the apple and pear ! Made on 11/19 tried today saw ur notes so I only had a lil bit and put it back to steep. If I were to say any increases at this point it would only be the figs....now your batch is a head of mine so you'll have to report back how it steeped and if ya plan on any tweaks. As of now fabulous Figasm
#10 by Amy***, Nov 28. 2015, 06:12
And spinner there really isn't a suitable sub for that vanilla sorry and in this mix it kinda is important very rich back note that accents the biscuit ( IMO )
#11 by DarthVapor, Nov 28. 2015, 06:26
I agree on the fig but thought I would wait a little longer. I'm really surprised though because my fig mixes are usually only 2%, I'm guess the cookie/biscuit with the shisha toned it down a little. I almost put this in my tank today but taro card beat it....It's only 10 days old and I knew I should of waited but I couldn't...I COULDN'T!!! lol
#12 by Amy***, Nov 28. 2015, 06:36
I'm jelly. I made a batch and I forgot ( ahhh) that I was out of TFA marshmallow and subbed FA Nope it's off no wonder it was steeping and I kept checking it and couldn't understand what I'd done wrong looked back at the recipe and realized d'oh I subbed that one out big mistake it doesn't fly. You need TFA's marshmallow to get that taro to sing the way it does ! Oh well I'm looking forward to making it foreal soon when I get my stuff out of storage.
#13 by DarthVapor, Nov 28. 2015, 06:47
Really?? There's that big of a difference between TFA and FA? I don't have FA's marsh but I would think they are all the same with maybe a difference in potency if anything
#14 by DarthVapor, Nov 28. 2015, 06:48
Wait the taro card you mean? Isn't that toasted marsh? haha I don't remember whats in all my recipes anymore =-)
#15 by Amy***, Nov 28. 2015, 07:01
Yea taro card idk but I know I used the wrong marshmallow. Ha ha on me. I shoulda waited for my stuff to come in.
#16 by Amy***, Nov 28. 2015, 07:05
Yes I just looked toasted marshmallow I was way off. That's ok I got that in again also.
#17 by DarthVapor, Nov 29. 2015, 01:54
Well I just put the updated tweaked version of this in my tank and I must say it's really damn good! The Fuji and the pear mellowed out perfectly and the cookie and fig pair wonderfully with the cream. For this updated mix only being 10 days old its great! I can only imagine what another week or two will do
#18 by the_method, Dec 18. 2015, 23:50
Really liking this after a short steep - the fig feels a bit backgrounded, does it come out more with steeping? Nice recipe!
#19 by DarthVapor, Dec 19. 2015, 05:28
Thanks man, it does come out a little more after the rest settles. I was expecting a lot more fig myself @ 2.8% seeing as I normally stay at 2. That being said I really like it after a month and I'm actually getting ready to throw it in my tank tonight.
I may make a tweaked version of this as well, if I do I will post my notes
Thanks again!

So I just filled my tank with the original tester that is 1 month old basically to the day and I AM going to raise the Fig in this.

Dont get me wrong this is atill a great juice (IMO) but the cookie seems to mute the Fig.

Surprisingly I am thinking around 3.2, which is a lot higher than I have gone on a Fig juice.

Nonetheless Igoing to make 3 testers with the Fig at 3%,3.2% & 3.5%. I will make the final adjustments to the recipe here on ELR when I find which one shines. Plus I have a feeling once I boast the fig up some more this will make a great juice, fantastic!!

But *****For now, if anyone is going to make this, I would make it with the fig at 3%-3.2% for sure*****

Does anyone have a suggestion on a sub ohm tank that doesn't leak? I am tired of wearing a bib around. LOL by the way alcohol gets the e-juice stains out of your clothing. I always make 60 mls of your recipes to start out -- RESPECT man.
#22 by Solace71, Oct 3. 2016, 21:20
Just ordered fig. Looking forward to mixing this.
#23 by Dan the Man, Oct 3. 2016, 22:12
awesome. looks scrumptious. believe it or not i still haven't got vanilla shisha. I guess i need to just go ahead and get it.
#24 by DarthVapor, Oct 3. 2016, 23:14
Dan....oh Dan... You are not the man this day...
There is absolutely NO reason to not have vanilla shisha in your stash by now!
;)
#25 by Dan the Man, Oct 3. 2016, 23:26
I know right :)
#26 by Jose, Oct 4. 2016, 20:19
At first I was stumped, how come there are so many comments when you've just made this? Then I was miffed, whaddya mean Amy is the only person who has vanilla shisha? Then I realised it was a new version of a much older recipe :D
I had just mixed up Newton's Ice Cream which has 5 ingredients in common with this one so I was finished pretty quickly. Looks delicious.
#27 by DarthVapor, Oct 4. 2016, 20:46
Haha. I made this one a year ago or so and then I made it private, for other reasons. After making 6 different variations (which are not allposted) I decided to post it again. So all the comments are pretty old ;)

This is still my favorite fig mix. The remixes have the addition of creme brulee inw and catalan cream, if you want to make your own version. Good stuff :)
#30 by Dan the Man, Oct 22. 2016, 17:32
Time to mix this up. Can't wait!!!!
#31 by Dan the Man, Nov 12. 2016, 10:57
3 wks in and I have no idea how I will be able to let it steep for another week or more.
#32 by DukeZaki, Aug 11. 2017, 03:46
Can the Nugat (INAWERA) be replaced by the Torrone (FA) .. ?
They are pretty similar .. right .. ?
#33 by DarthVapor, Aug 11. 2017, 04:08
No, unfortunately they are very different
#34 by ceeceeisme, Feb 19. 2018, 18:34
Wow! Really, really good! I'm vaping it at 3 weeks and I'm pretty sure there won't be any left at 4 weeks.
#35 by DarthVapor, Feb 19. 2018, 18:39
Thanks!! I freaking love this juice and all the adaptations
#36 by benjy337, Feb 22. 2018, 09:37
Just made this and tried it, so I haven't rated it yet, and I'm sure I'm going to like a lot once it's steeped. I can tell it needs steeping, but it's already good. I'll update once it's steeped.
Thanks for the recipe and everything else you do to keep this amazing site going.
#37 by benjy337, Mar 12. 2018, 16:27
It's now been steeping for 3 weeks and it's very good.
I might try making a stone and mixing it @ around 15% for a little more flavor.
#38 by DarthVapor, Mar 12. 2018, 17:05
Take a look at the figasmic 2.0 mix. It's a little different than this one, but you may like it more. Let me know how the stone turns out and thanks!
#39 by Eggsaladsandwichhead, Jan 18. 2019, 01:18
I've only got TPA pear, will that change it too much?
#40 by DarthVapor, Jan 18. 2019, 03:29
Unfortunately, yes. FA pear is unique in the fact it's more over-rippened pear JUICY forward. Whereas all other pear flavors are more of a candy type pear. The FA pear is a fantastic flavor, I highly recommend it. NOT for a pear flavor, but for it's juicy aspect. It adds a nice juiciness to mixes, with just about zero pear flavor. Good stuff! TFA is more of a (candy) pear forward, IMO
#41 by Eggsaladsandwichhead, Jan 19. 2019, 17:29
Ok, *SIGH* I'll add it to the shopping list.... ;-P
#42 by Eggsaladsandwichhead, Jan 19. 2019, 17:29
PS thanks for answering!
#43 by DarthVapor, Jan 19. 2019, 19:40
No problem! This is one of my all time favorite juices. I have about 20 variations of it, haha
