I made this last July. Found it today and tried it. The maple flavor is spot on and it has just enough mouth feel without being heavy. I'm not a fan of Zeppola in particular, or dough/yeast in general, but the combination works here. Well done.
Thanks for the share, Michele. Like natbone, I'm not a big Zeppola fan (always less than 2%) but I love me some maple and if it worked for him I'm willing to bet on it. I'll prolly boost the Maple Bar. Can never get enough maple, lol.
