This Coconut Banana Custard recipe will take you straight to an island in the Caribbean. Imagine yourself in a cabana hut on a beach in between the coconut trees and the sun is starting to go down. This desert recipe is the perfect to vape after a feast that left you longing for more.
Vaping this smells like someone just baked a fresh banana coconut custard. It's smooth, creamy and a little thick with plenty of complexity. I'm happy to report it's not a "coil-killer" either.
VTA Banana custard is a natural, realistic banana with light, round creamy custard. awesome and I can't get enough of it. Great on its own and inspired me to continue developing this recipe.
FLV and CAP Banana are working together to bring out a more recognizable banana in the aroma. Using CAP low as it can bring out a weird off note when taking it higher. FLV Banana doesn't need a lot to work here and I wanted both of these to sit behind the star in this recipe. You can leave CAP Banana out and still get a similar result.
My go-to custards, INW and CAP make for a great base. INW is a true custard flavor that adds a lot of body and a realistic aroma. CAP VC rounds it out, but adds a little to steep time.
FLV Sweet Coconut and FA coco are the perfect combination for me. FLV at this percentage has that milky and creamy component without tasting like sun tan lotion. FA Coco makes for the coconut flesh and gives off a lovely aroma. I add meringue to give it a hint of coconut sprinkles without making it too dry. It's just all round coconut.
TPA marshmallow for a smooth sweetener and to balance the caramel notes from CAP VC. I use about 0.2% CAP SS or 1 drop per 30ml.
Steeping needs at least 3 days, but shines after 5 or more. The 60mls I've been mixing never lasted me more than a week though.
Very close to completing this one, I'm posting this for FOTW on r/DIY_ejuice. I've done a lot of tweaking in the past iterations and I don't see it change much anymore unless I place an order for WF Banana Puree or LB Banana Cream in the future, after which I'll update.
