DIY Melon glazed donut ejuice recipe

This is a nice melon glazed donut. The kind you like even in summertime since the melon juice in the glazing plays well together with the vanilla custard.

Cookie and Zeppola form the backbone of the recipe. This is the type of donut Grandma made. She carefully enhanced it with some homemade custard. CAP‘s vanilla custard plays it’s strength in providing a nice non dominant moisture to the donut while being nicely present in the background.

Cantaloupe plays generally well with Meringue and provides here the glazing for the donut. CAP Cantaloupe has a nice sweetness in the flavor profile which supports that function very well. If you only want a slight hint of cantaloupe in the glazing you can reduce the percentage to 4%. At 5% the cantaloupe is more dominant while still letting you taste the donut.

Really great recipe, although I replaced CAP Cantaloupe with 1.5% FLV Cantaloupe.

I had the chance to test the recipe before it was published, but I didn't have a Cantaloupe CAP so I took Cantaloupe FLV at 1.5% as an alternative.

The donut comes out very well is tasty but not penetrative in the foreground. The melon glaze is very tasty with the 1.5% cantaloupe FLV I chose and not in the foreground but as if it is a nice, subtle glaze.

I give the recipe 5 stars, because shortly after the 10ml to test I immediately mixed another 60ml of liquid

I didn’t have the Cantaloupe (CAP), so I tried it without the Melon.
First of all, this is a really good donut base, where you can add a lot of fruit flavours. I made to versions, one with Honeydew Melon (JF) at 2% and another one with Banana Foster (TFA) at 2%.
The Honeydew version is delicious. With 9.8% it is very flavourful with a nice body of a smooth donut.
The Banana Foster version is great, too, even it might be better to use 2.5%. At just 2% you will get a tasty donut with cooked banana and a bit of cinnamon.

Again. Great base! I will definitely mixed this up with more fruits. Well done!

Hi @Steve, tried out these recipe and its great.

Its a light fluffy donut, not so heavy as the once i have vaped bevore.
I subbed the cantalupe with cantalupe FA 2.5% and it is delicious!

Got some light fatty off note, from the Zeppola at the end of the exhale.

A successful mix. Round and pleasant. In the second batch I added Banana from TPA. It dampens the zeppola and makes the mix even rounder for my taste. Very well done Steve.

Hugh plus for me, as I'd abandoned Zeppola because of those spice notes which were very distracting for me, but the Cantaloupe really covers those "off notes" really well. And Cantaloupe was never my cup of tea, to be honest, but plays really well as a glaze. Nicely utilized. Cap VC has been out of use for a while aswell, I mostly use Premium now. So getting to use these flavors again is a hugh plus as said before. Thanks for the share. Very Nice....
