Wintermelon mint started out as an attempt at a super-cold cucumber mint recipe - a shot at a refreshing summer time vape. But many times when I vape this it reminds me of eating candy canes while decorating the Christmas tree. It’s a candy-cane peppermint vape that’s exceedingly cold, wet and delicious.

Off the vape, it’s quite like vaping the inside of an After Eight mint. Cucumber and melon aren’t prominent at all, so I wouldn’t classify it as a melon vape. The melon and cucumber are there more more for sweetness and mouthfeel. So while it fails its original mission of cucumber mint, it definitely succeeds at being tasty AF with no dryness, harshness, or added sweeteners.

New mixers should be aware that INW Natural Mint has some safety concerns because it contains peppermint oil. Some mixers say it’s not safe to vape, just like cinnamon flavors. I would have started with a different mint had I known this when I started out mixing. Personally I’m not concerned even though I vape massive amounts of this stuff. The biggest reason is that this is the cleanest vaping juice I have ever vaped and I’ve probably vaped 400-ish different recipes. My rayon wicks come out pure virgin white even after chaining 70-80 mls. At that point there is a bit of build-up on my flatwire coils, and they need a dry-burn, but there is never any darkening of the juice or wicks. This would be a good recipe for those still using expensive store-bought coils.

INW Natural Mint is extremely potent and can bully a recipe at only ¼ percent. It also has a surprising amount of built-in cooling. You can take it up to 2 or 3 percent but keep in mind that it could be too cold for your recipe or preferences. If you thought 1.75% of 30% WS-23 is not “exceedingly cold”, well, that’s only about half the coolant in this recipe. Chain vaping this with a cold drink WILL result in brain-freeze, so sip before you vape. :) The first few rips you’ll think that it’s way too cold, but tolerance builds quick and the cooling settles into the perfect amount.

FLV Wild Melon adds the yummyness without the in-your-face jolly-rancher watermelon. There’s not much else to say about this one since everyone already knows how awesome it is. Grab this one if you don’t already have it.

CAP Cucumber provides the body and the wetness. While not a primary flavor in the mix it lends a natural earthyness to the mint and fits right in. This is a great all-around flavor to have and is very affordable. Use it like you would use FA Pear, FA Apricot, or TFA Dragonfruit.

So that’s it for notes on Wintermelon Mint. It’s a pretty simple recipe and I hope this one has more crowd appeal than my Liquorice Milk. :) I have lots more recipes in the 90-99% complete range so I hope to release many more in 2021. Vape on and keep fighting the good fight!
