#4 by vapdarma, Jan 18. 2016, 09:58
hi i dont have dulce de leche can i substitute or omitted?
#5 by TOC MichelleHughes, Jan 18. 2016, 20:32
What I would do without the DDL is up the Caramel by 1% and if you've got Butterscotch too add 1% there the ddl is basically just making it a little sweeter imo and the butterscotch would help even more
#6 by vapdarma, Jan 19. 2016, 00:11
thanks authormichellehuges i will try 1% more caramel and 1% fa butterscotch

You're so welcome. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I usually use an overnight hot water bath so what kind of steep time are we looking at with this recipe?
#9 by TOC MichelleHughes, Feb 6. 2016, 17:21
It's a steeper sorry. I did the vortex mixer and tried it at a week the first time. It was good but at two weeks it was better at one month I loved it. I keep this made
#10 by HoneyGram57, Feb 7. 2016, 14:20
How large of a batch do you make? Even with elimating EM & nicotine from my mixes I've had bad experiences with flavors fading before their used and don't make more than 30ml at a time now.
#11 by TOC MichelleHughes, Feb 7. 2016, 18:09
the last batch I made was 120 mls which is the biggest for me
#12 by HoneyGram57, Feb 7. 2016, 18:31
Wow, Braveheart!😄 I trust you've never notice a flavor fade point with this recipe then; or you've never kept it long enough to find out, one of two!😄
#13 by TOC MichelleHughes, Feb 7. 2016, 18:45
This is my favorite mix so yeah... I never keep it long enough LOL
#14 by Dan the Man, Mar 6. 2016, 16:58
I am about to try this recipe. I hope it is as good as it looks. Oh ya I have brown sugar but not brown sugar extra, so do I just add a bit more brown sugar, or is it a whole other profile?
#15 by TOC MichelleHughes, Mar 6. 2016, 18:34
I've never used the other so I'm not sure honestly :) Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
#16 by Dan the Man, Mar 7. 2016, 14:51
me too I love vanilla custard and so far have only vaped a single flavor recipe. my favorite so far is the flavor apprentice and flavorah. I have yet to try shisha and a couple others, but when i am finished I will have tried every custard available :)
#17 by Dan the Man, Apr 3. 2016, 17:22
AWESOME! this is very good. I found it to be a bit sweet which is saying alot for me but i put it in my favorite tank and it is perfect. So how do i put this in my recipes? just leave it as a favorite, otherwise it becomes a duplicate? Anywho, it has several of my favorite flavors in it and I was gonna work on a recipe with them in it...now i don't have to. Thanks
#18 by TOC MichelleHughes, Apr 3. 2016, 18:09
So glad you enjoyed it Dan! I have a bit of a sweet tooth LOL. Um I guess as a favorite? Honestly not sure how that works :)
#19 by HoneyGram57, Apr 14. 2016, 01:16
TFA did away with the "EXTRA" version according to their site. The Brown Sugar they sell now is the "EXTRA" version, they just dropped the extra from it's name. I've used both and there's really not a difference I can perceive in the percentages I use mixing and I never tried it as a solo flavor..yuk..who wants a mouth full of sugar! lol
#20 by Dan the Man, Apr 14. 2016, 06:34
Question... is Toc one of your characters? Just curious. Anywho, i am gonna drop the brown sugar to 1.5% I was gonna call it Toc's diet custard or just leave it and adjust the recipe whenever i make it. Just wondering if it was ok with you.
#21 by TOC MichelleHughes, Apr 14. 2016, 16:54
TOC... Tears of Crimson (.com) my publishing company. Whatever you want to do Dan... you're the man :)
#22 by Dan the Man, Apr 14. 2016, 22:00
:) duh i should have known that. cool
#23 by TOC MichelleHughes, Apr 14. 2016, 22:37
Let me know how ya like it without the brown sugar :)
#24 by Dan the Man, Apr 15. 2016, 00:09
will do. but it will still have the brown sugar. only half though. Be back in a month :)
#25 by Dan the Man, May 13. 2016, 15:09
WOW! you have GOT to try it with 1.5 brown sugar. I love it. have you ever cooked dinner and cooked all the ingredients separate?

Its kinda like that. it's almost like you can taste the different flavors all by themselves. I don't know... it's unique. I like it a lot.
#26 by TOC MichelleHughes, May 13. 2016, 15:49
I'll have to give that a try Dan thanks :)
#27 by Lolly, Feb 12. 2017, 19:51
This looks delicious! @authormichellehughes Would Cap VC V1 work with this as I don't have V2? Thanks in advance :-)

As usual.. your recipes are as beautiful as your look ..

One quick thingy, as i guess the community feels they cannot go wrong with FA.. So here is it; would you swap the VC (Cap) with FA Premium Custard .. ??

Thanks for the sweet share ..
