Wow Lynda Marie, this (to me) is an interestingly NEW approach to a Custard. I haven't played with WF Caramel Butter much yet, but found it super interesting you pushed the FA Custard Premium, with INW's VC, and TPA's VC. Have to mix this up.
@sessiondrummer Thank you! This definitely is a thick, rich creamy (dense) dessert. It took me quite a few attempts to get the flavor I was looking for. I’m pretty happy with it. I love caramel butter, it blends nicely here. I’ve made it with vanilla custard (wf) which gives it a brighter vanilla. I hope you enjoy it!
Thats what i used, muth. I dropped it down the VCII down to 2% and used Vanilla Cream (VSO). I havent tested it but it smells very nice, looking forward to this one.
Love this, Lynda. In the past i have absolutely hated Biscuit (INW) as i got a metallic taste from it but it seems i dont have that issue anymore. I bought a new bottle just to mix this up and i am really glad that i did. The custard layer is heavenly and it alone i would rate 5*.
@KenO’Where Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it. When I finally got a hold of Custard Premium a while ago I was a happy camper. Thank you for commenting!
This i must try. I just bought vc wf sc based off your notes on custard premium fa, as they pair well together. So the ? Is do you think i can sub wf vc for the tpa vc as i cannot use that at all. Its all pepper on both tpa vc’s. I
@316Vapes you could but I’d suggest Cap v1 instead. WF is kinda thin, I love it, it’s just not as buttery or rich as tpa 2 or cap v1. I have another recipe that uses wf vc though. It’s called Comfort custard.
