On a cold winter night I steam or foam some whole milk, add a dash of vanilla and Cream and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon. It’s delicious. You can add sweetener, or leave it out. I do add a dash of cane sugar occasionally. You can add your own twist with peppermint or mocha.
Whipped Cream and vanilla milk froth make the base
French vanilla adds some creamy vanilla flavor
Cinnamon sugar sits atop for the finish
I'm really enjoying this. You get the dairy & vanilla without the heaviness like a custard. When I was little my grandmother used to make hot vanilla milk, we didn't do anything fancy like steam or froth back then. You heated up milk in a pan, throw in some sugar and vanilla and it was just as tasty as hot chocolate. Thank you for sharing this.
