Notes

ELEMENT Pink Lemonade is my ADV and I have bought over 2000ml. I have been experimenting for 6+ month's with 20+ different fruit and other flavors and it's close enough to the original that ELEMENT isn't getting my money anymore :)

IMO the original has more of a lime than lemon taste with a slight hint of vanilla on the exhale. It's sweet and tart but not too overwhelming.

Marshmallow along with the sweet versions of different flavors and Super Sweet (CAP) gives it the sweet flavor of the original.

Lemonade, Lime, Sweet Strawberry and Sweet Tangerine gives it the tartness and flavor that matches much more closely to the original IMO.

Lemonade (Flavorah) is better than Lemon by Flavors Express or Lemon Sicily (same %) for this mix because it's slightly sweeter. Lemonade by Flavor West is the closest equivalent but need to use @ 4% because it's not as strong or sweet as Flavorah.

Vanilla Swirl (TPA) adds just the right amount of creamy vanilla sweetness on the exhale that is amazing when mixed with fruit flavors.

NOT a shake and vape. Best after 7+ days. I rotate mixes every 2 weeks personally which is when this is best so the limes fade a little more.

Let me know what you think.

Substitution ideas, although it will change the flavor a little, subs listed in quality first to last:
Lemonade (Flavorah) to Purilum Lemonade, Flavor West Lemonade, or Lemon by Flavors Express or Lemon Sicily. All same % except FW I use at 4% vs 3%.

Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA) to Lime by Inawera
Sweet Strawberry (Cap) to Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA)
Sweet Tangerine (Cap) to Just about any orange flavor at close to the same %

I've also tried 0.2% of Koolada which adds a cooling sensation to the vape but is good with or without it.

All flavors including PG/VG/Nicotine bought from nicotineriver.com

Edit: 03/05/16
Reducing Dragon Fruit to 2% from 2.5%
Even after steeping it was a little too dominant.

Edit: 06/10/2016
Changed Dragon Fruit to Key Lime. Increased a few flavors slightly.

Edit: 06/24/2016
Just reduced the Key lime from 2% to 1.5% as it was slightly overpowering the mix considering it also has lime CP.

Edit: 02/19/2017
Ran out of Flavorah for a short while last month and was using FW Lemonade in two batches and first batch @ 6% was too strong. Second batch @ 4% was fine. Still recommend Flavorah lemonade.

Edit: 08/01/2017
Mixed this last week with a few changes:
Real Flavors Strawberry Lemonade @ 3% with no Flavorah Lemonade Reduced the Sweet Strawberry from 2% to 1%
Added CAP Juicy Lemon @ 2%
Substituted the Vanilla Swirl for FlavourArt Vienna Cream same 1%
Reduced CAP Super Sweet from 1% to 0.5%

After a week of steeping it seems very promising but the strawberry is still too dominate. Will wait another week to see if the strawberry fades more before making another batch.

Edit: 01/11/2018
Still use Real Flavors Strawberry Lemonade at 2% now with 2% of Purilum Lemonade (everything else the same) and personally like the mix slightly better than the recipe as listed although it still has a more dominant strawberry taste and drifts far enough from being a clone that I don't want to change the original recipe. Currently Real Flavors and Purilum are both brands that are limited in availability outside of North America which is the other reason why I haven't changed the recipe.

Also tried Purilum Jelly Candy @ 1.5% instead of Marshmallow and it's much better, but won't change in recipe because Purilum is a new flavor company that isn't easy to get out of the USA. https://www.nicotineriver.com/collections/purilum-flavor-concentrates/products/purilum-jelly-candy

How do you think a bit of Champagne would work to give it a bit of fizz ?
#2 by micah, Jan 30. 2016, 02:21
I've read that people use it in other Pink Lemonade recipes but personally it didn't help with fizz or flavor @ 2% or 3% when I used it so I didn't include it. You could certainly try it yourself though :) Finding the right mix of sweet fruit flavors was the hardest part in cloning this since I didn't really want to use sweetener or Ethyl Maltol since they both tend to mute the other flavors. This isn't something I just threw together, been working on this clone for many months through trial and error and only published it once I thought it was near perfect.
#3 by Gentle, Jan 30. 2016, 21:31
I will be giving it a go with just your recipe :)
#4 by micah, Jan 30. 2016, 21:49
Great, let me know what you think.
#5 by exoticCentipede, Jan 31. 2016, 22:11
I seen you commented on a recipe from august or something, looking forward to checking out your hard work :D
#6 by micah, Jan 31. 2016, 22:30
I've been making my own ejuice for two years but this recipe was the hardest to clone. Fell in love with the original but hated buying it because I go through 20+ ml a day. It's still not 100% perfect to the original but better IMO. It's still has that wonderful citrus punch and sweetness but I still couldn't get it to the lime taste of the original without it becoming bitter. Maybe when a vendor makes a sweet lime flavor I'll be able to perfect it. Right now after 5+ days of steeping you taste a little lemon, lime, and a hint of the dragon fruit. The strawberry and tangerine helps with the sweetest but doesn't seem to overpower the the mix. So glad Flavorah came out with Lemonade, so much better than the other Lemon flavors I had been using.
#7 by exoticCentipede, Jan 31. 2016, 23:11
My partners dad is the same, he goes through 15ml a day, I've had a taste but never actually bought a bottle myself, hoping I can save him some money :D
#8 by Gentle, Feb 3. 2016, 23:54
Just made up 50ml of juice, smells delicious, now for the hard part , letting it steep without trying it :)
#9 by micah, Feb 4. 2016, 01:09
You can try it now but the taste will be much better after it steeps. Right now the lime and Dragon Fruit are a bit strong and you definitely taste the strawberry with a fresh mix. After a week everything mellows out and the vanilla swirl hits much better. I usually leave the cap off for the first 24 hours and then cap and shake it a few times a day. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)
#10 by Evilhipi, Feb 8. 2016, 08:12
I love Elements and have vaped at least 3 of the 120ml beakers of it. I made a batch of this 3 days ago, its MUCH better now then fresh and I can see it getting better with age. The marshmallow and vanilla swirl confused me when I saw them in the recipe but I can see now how they fit in. Looking forward to how this tastes in a few more days, keep up the good work.
#11 by micah, Feb 8. 2016, 12:02
Thanks Evilhipi, I know it's not 100% dead on with the original but it does get very close after fully steeped. For me the taste is there but the sweetest is still slightly less. Still not done experimenting :) I do know that .5% of Kollada helps simulate that feeling but I honestly don't think it's in the original.
#12 by micah, Feb 12. 2016, 03:19
Changed the recipe slightly, I got CAP Super Sweet a few weeks ago and adding 1% helped sweeten the mix closer to the original. Also tried Vanilla Bean Gelato versus Vanilla Swirl and it was better so I swapped it. I only edit recipes to improve them and with new flavors coming out each month I'm always trying new stuff.
#13 by Don, Feb 14. 2016, 15:45
I order all my stuff from wizard labs, do you think the lemonade by cap. Would work alright in this recipe? ?
#14 by micah, Feb 14. 2016, 17:03
@Don, I like Lemonade by CAP as well, Flavorah is just slightly sweeter but both are great.
#15 by Don, Feb 14. 2016, 23:00
Thank you Micah and so many others for this website and all you do it has been a blessing to me.
#16 by micah, Feb 15. 2016, 00:31
Just realized the other two lemonades I've tried and have are Lemonade by LorAnn and Flavor West, both are decent replacements but weaker than Flavorah. Cappela doesn't make a Lemonade (yet) but Lemon by Flavor Express or Lemon Sicily by FA are both good. Next to order is CAP Lemon Lime which may be decent replacements for both the Lemonade and CP lime. As I've mentioned before this recipe isn't a perfect match to the original and I'm always experimenting to make it better. It's still my ADV though and very refreshing :)
#17 by Zeu_vapoteuse, Feb 15. 2016, 03:21
I mixed it and was skeptical at first, but the smell is developing nicely after a few days. I wonder if I should add some Raspberry Sweet TPA 4% or so.
#18 by micah, Feb 15. 2016, 03:47
Sweet Raspberry @ 2% is good, careful going over that because it is a flavor that can dominate the mix. Cranberry also is good @ 2%. Steeping properly for 5+ days helps blend everything nicely. I've tried speed steeping but it works best if you let it rest. Lemonade and lime is a bit overpowering until it's steeped. Once steeped please let me know how you like it and what changes would be good.
#19 by Zeu_vapoteuse, Feb 17. 2016, 03:30
Thanks for sharing. I am steeping it now. Élément Pink Lemonade also got me into DIY. It's excellent. Will report back
#20 by Zeu_vapoteuse, Feb 19. 2016, 02:07
Love it! It's the closest clone so far. There is a small element missing on the tartness maybe, but I think you have a great recipe right there. Thanks!
#21 by micah, Feb 20. 2016, 17:52
Thanks Zeu, I tried Sour (TPA) @ 2% but it didn't help much. Also tried Pink Guava (Flavorah) @ 1% which had kind of a grapefruit taste but it overwhelms the batch even with a long steep. Cranberry (CAP) adds the tartness but isn't true to the original. I'll find it eventually as they come out with new flavors monthly.
#22 by Evilhipi, Feb 20. 2016, 19:26
Have you tried Pomegranate or Inawera Raspberry for the tartness? I have some of the raspberry on order for anot her clone I'm working on.
#23 by micah, Feb 20. 2016, 20:44
Pomegranate is tart but too floral for my taste. I've tried Raspberry (CAP) but not from Inawera, is it better than CAP? I Tried Sweet Tart also but that was horrible. Thanks for the suggestions :)
#24 by Evilhipi, Feb 20. 2016, 20:47
Inawera is the closest to an actual raspberry I've experienced. I would start light .5 to 1.5% I'm waiting for a new bottle if it right now else I would try myself.
#25 by Zeu_vapoteuse, Feb 21. 2016, 23:51
Flavorah Lemonade is out of stock at BVC. I'll wait for the Precioussss :D
#26 by Don, Feb 22. 2016, 22:34
Just made a batch today using LA lemonade and lime from Ina and used sweetner from Walmart (small yellow bottle) It taste fabulous thank you for this recipe and all your work.
#27 by micah, Feb 23. 2016, 00:33
Thanks Don, haven't tried LA Lemonade but I know lime from Inawera is good :) Be careful with store bought sweeteners because they may not be safe at high temperatures and/or may gunk up your coils quickly. Glad you like it :)
#28 by Don, Feb 24. 2016, 00:06
I was looking at recipe and it has 2.5% on some things now I looked back on my screen shot and it has 2% on everything but lemonade and sweetner ,did you make some changes? I'm confused lol
#29 by exoticCentipede, Feb 24. 2016, 00:15
Yeah it seems to get edited every now and then :D

@micah I would suggest putting a last edited date on the top of the notes of something, easier than checking the ingredients list :P
#30 by Don, Feb 24. 2016, 00:27
Ok I'm bout to mix up 400 mil of edited version I know the other batch sure tasted very very close and two guys at work thought it was element.
#31 by micah, Feb 24. 2016, 01:15
Sorry for changing without noting it. It's noted now. I only change it to improve it and felt the Super Sweet was just a bit too sweet and the Tangerine could use a little more. I vape 20+ml of this daily and I always make small 30ml bottles. (I have 15 bottles steeping and rotate them) I generally stick with the same recipe but will change one bottle slightly each week to see if I can improve it. Sometimes it's worse (tried Sweet Lychee but it didn't help).

Don, I'd recommend making smaller batches both to experiment and to keep from accidently making a bad batch.
#32 by Don, Feb 24. 2016, 06:37
I made the other one at fifty mil first and it's great that's why I mixed up 400 ml I'm vaping it like crazy I put mine in microwave for five seconds then shake for a min and repeat twice and it's steeped and ready to go.
#33 by Don, Feb 24. 2016, 06:40
Micah you seem to know a lot about this stuff can you please put me on a good banana recipe I used to buy some juice at a local shop and they called it bazinga I know it had kiwi in it but it had a great banana flavor. Any recipe you like on the banana side of vaping??
#34 by micah, Feb 24. 2016, 12:54
Don, I'm not a fan of banana for vapping but I know a lot of people like this one e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/49573/Bombies+%2527nana+cream
#35 by Hollywood VApes, Mar 4. 2016, 12:09
Micah I am so glad to see your dedication to get this one spot on. I LOVE THE DRINK more than any other and ELEMENT REALLY friggin nailed it!!! I dont have alot of this stuff but im gonna try something similar(got FW pink lemonade and it taste funny as hell!!).....I was thinking its sometimes made with grapefruit or cranberries, Have you tried those to help sour it up a bit more?
#36 by micah, Mar 4. 2016, 23:03
Tried both grapefruit and cranberry and used @1% does help sour it up a bit but can easily dominate the mix which is why I avoid them. I like the sourness of the original but those two flavors don't quite hit the mark. Flavor West Lemonade (not pink) is a bit more sour than Flavorah and used @5-7% is good but then you need a little more sweetener. Very happy with it currently although the Dragon Fruit may be a bit much for some people. Kicking it down to 1.5 or 2% is good if you're not a fan of it as it layers much better and is less noticeable like the strawberry and tangerine which you can barely taste after steeping. Been sharing this mix with many of my vaping friends and all have like it so far :)
#37 by Hollywood VApes, Mar 5. 2016, 03:38
maybe try .5 of each....IDK I thought you said it wasnt quite there I was trying to brain storm...you can look at my stash but I dont have a Lot of these...might try and make it anyway since its one I always wish I had....Avail, believe it or not, have a breast cancer awareness flavor and they said it was kiwi strawberry lemonade but It definitely is close to pink lemonade in taste....another flavor thats very addicting.....I did my first recipe in the end of January so I am definitely doing good as I have plenty of juices to sample try and perfect ATM.......BUT I WILL BE grabbing my missing flavors and giving this a try---sounds like youre as analytical as me about getting the favorite clone to your liking so IM EXCITED CUZ I LOVE THIS JUICE AND it was tough to even get at the B&M I got it from b/c it was always sold out lol.....Definitely gonna pick up Inawera as Evilhipi said it was closest to real and I enjoy real raspberry but detest any candy-like versions of it
#38 by Hollywood VApes, Mar 6. 2016, 00:26
lmk If you can give a good recipe with what I got till I can get the other ingredients micah....I would really appreciate it!

#40 by Hollywood VApes, Mar 7. 2016, 08:23
I was asking for your "expertise" on this juice....ive already made one to hold me over thanks ;)
#41 by monkey, Mar 13. 2016, 01:00
Hi micah, thanks for sharing this recipe. I just mixed up 50ml using Lime by Inawera and Marshmallow and Sweetner from TPA as opposed to Capella.

I could not get hold of cold pressed lime but did see "Lime Tahity Distilled" from FA and wondered if you had tried that? Its described as being more sharp / fizzy than cold pressed.

I also bought CAP Lemon Lime to play with, just mixed 10ml of that stand alone to get a feel for it.
#42 by micah, Mar 13. 2016, 02:22
I tried distilled before cold pressed and it's a little more tart but still great. Both marshmallow are good and I mostly just use it to take some of the bitterness off the dragon fruit and sweeten, you can taste it but it's faint. Sweetener should be used at 1% since most other sweeteners are a 10% mixture in PG versus 20% in CAP Super Sweet. It's vapable the next day but will be a bit bitter. It fully develops the flavor and sweetness after 5 days.
#43 by micah, Mar 13. 2016, 02:26
Forgot to ask the % use of lime by Inawera. I've tried that also at 4% and it's good. The distilled is good around 3 to 3.5% but 2.5 is as high as you can go with cold pressed without making it too bitter IMO.
#44 by monkey, Mar 14. 2016, 09:23
I tried vaping some of this after 20 hours. Will add some more sweetner, thanks for the tip on that.

I added Inawera at 2.5% in a straignt swap for cold pressed. That seemed quite strong when I tried it, may mellow out in a few days but I wont be adding any more of that.

I could taste the Dragon Fruit, a flavour I am not too keen on and did not pick up at all in the original. I would like to swap that out for something else if I can find something.

I also noticed you had "sour" in your stash, I had been looking at that one and wondered if that may work with this recipe, I am guessing you bought and tried it with this?
#45 by monkey, Mar 14. 2016, 09:30
You also asked about CAP Lemon Lime but I was not able to access / reply to the message. I mixed some of that at 20% and planned to leave that for a week before mixing a couple of tanks with some other mixes I have lying around.

It smelled promising, a little like Flavorah Lemondade with a definite lime.

After you asked I tried vaping some but it was only 18 hours old at the time and it was not good. On the inhale it was very watery lemon with a little sweetnes on the tounge, on the exhale stronger lime but perfumy and harsh.

I will come back to this at the end of the week and see how it is doing. It may be useful in this recipe but its going to have to improve a lot with steeping.

The Inawera Lime / Flavorah Lemondade in the mix I made of your recipe were coming through much better than the CAP Lemon Lime after 18/20 hours.
#46 by monkey, Mar 14. 2016, 09:34
Something else I thought of trying was mixing some of the base from this to try with your flavours:

e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/124922/Suicide+Bunny+Sucker+Punch+clone+v2

(Bavarian cream, marshmallow, sweet cream and vanilla swirl).

I made some of that sucker punch clone wihtout ever trying the original and found I really dont like Dragon Fruit, but it was quite smooth and I thought the base was pretty good.

That said I think you may have had vanilla swirl in this recipe originally and swapped it out for Vanilla Bean Gelato?
#47 by micah, Mar 15. 2016, 15:01
I have tried Sour @2% but it's not the sour taste I was looking for. That is why I switched it up for Dragon Fruit which has a sweet/sour type taste but a little floral which some don't like. Honestly after 5+ days I only taste a hint of the the Dragon Fruit @2% which I agree is probably not in the original but something I prefer. I think leaving it out won't affect the flavor much. You could probably kick up the strawberry and tangerine by 1% to offset it.

The Lemon/Lime has been getting a lot of mixed reviews, I'm still going to give it a try though since it's cheap for a small bottle.

I love the Suicide Bunny recipe but 3 of the flavors contain Acetoin which I won't vape and avoid in my recipe. I'm sure there are substitutes but they may not be as good. Vanilla swirl is very good in this recipe, just preferred Vanilla Bean Gelato because it's slightly sweeter. You get a little more vanilla taste with the swirl though. Ordering Nonna Cake (FA) today for this mix to see if it's better than Gelato and for my other mixes with Strawberry Ripe.

#48 by MrCessna, Mar 18. 2016, 00:35
This is definitely the closest I've come to pink Lemonade, and I have been trying for months. I just wish there was a way to increase the sharpness of the lemon.
Then it would be PERFECT

Excellent recipe though.
#49 by micah, Mar 18. 2016, 01:55
Thanks MrCessna, tartness is hard to get without making it too bitter. flavor West Lemonade is slightly more tart and good in this recipe around 4-6% depending on taste. If you like cranberry or raspberry that also adds tartness @2% but strays from the original.
#50 by BlackMarketMixer, Mar 21. 2016, 00:21
Have them all except the Gelato. Is TPA Vanilla bean ice cream similar? Or I could use classic vanilla (madagascar) FA and fresh cream or Bavarian. Ideas?
#51 by micah, Mar 21. 2016, 02:20
@BlackMarketMixer, TPA Vanilla bean ice cream is the closest equivalent to Gelato. @1% it should be nearly identical. It's only in the mix for a slight vanilla exhale. Takes a few days for the Dragon Fruit and CP lime to settle down as it's a little bitter when fresh mixed. Sweetens up by the 5 day.
#52 by BlackMarketMixer, Mar 21. 2016, 07:46
@micah I made this tonight with VBIC TPA and Lemon INW in place of Flavorah Lemonade @ 3%... Heated it up, shook it like a British nanny would and a couple hours later it is fantastic! Can't wait to see how it mellows out and binds to the VG next week. Sick, brah!
#53 by micah, Mar 21. 2016, 14:30
Lol, glad you like it. Really good with Flavor West lemonade also if you don't have Flavorah although INW Lemon is good as well. It layers nicely once fully steeped.
#54 by BlackMarketMixer, Mar 21. 2016, 14:34
I'm getting FW in my next order. Flavorah is too pricey for me. Have you tried it with INW? Am I too far off? I went 3% cause I figured INW would be more concentrated than Flavorah.
#55 by micah, Mar 21. 2016, 17:27
Yes, 3% INW is comparable to Flavorah at 4%. I use FW @4% though and it's great.
#56 by BlackMarketMixer, Mar 21. 2016, 18:12
Thanks. I'll pick that up. Can't wait til the CP Lime mellows out. It's dominating the mix atm. Dragonfruit isn't as strong as I thought it would be. Have you tried INW Raspberry or any raspberry in place of dragonfruit? I may try it. I can't speak yet but it doesn't appear that this is going to be an Element clone. Just a really good lemon/limeade.
#57 by micah, Mar 24. 2016, 23:13
Thanks Ash, once or twice a month I order a new flavor to try to improve it. Last week I made a bach using Nonna Cake - FA instead of the Gelato @ 1.5% and it's also very tasty once it steeps.
https://www.nicotineriver.com/products/nonna-cake-fa
#58 by BlackMarketMixer, Mar 24. 2016, 23:15
Can't wait for my Nonna's Cake to come in. Have you tried replacing the lime for INW Raspberry or any other raspberry? Or just incorporating it into the existing recipe?
#59 by micah, Mar 25. 2016, 17:45
BlackMarketMixer, I have tried INW, FLV, CAP, TPA, FW, and FA. The only one I really liked personality is TFA Sweet Raspberry which I do use in other mixes but feel it overpowers in this mix and takes away from the Lemon and lime taste. The strawberry, tangerine, and Gelato in this mix helps with the overall flavor and you can't taste it after steeping. Even after a month of steeping you can still taste the raspberry. After a week of steeping you can still slightly detect the Dragon Fruit but IMHO that's a good thing. Of course if you like raspberry adding it at 2% doesn't hurt but stick with 30ml (total mix) or less in case you don't like it. As a side note I only get my nicotine and PG/VG from nicotine river as IMO they have the best tasting base liquid.
#60 by smok, Mar 26. 2016, 12:51
@micah i try to add CITRUS MIX FA @1.25% AND RASPBERRY INA @2% it is close
#61 by Exluvah, Mar 29. 2016, 15:14
@micah, Thanks for sharing your recipe! I've never tried the original but I am really excited to try this once I get some of the flavors I don't have [or just substitute]. I am very new to mixing and you probably know way more about this than I .... but have you tried LA Tart & Sour? I bought it for a jolly rancher recipe that I am still perfecting but it might be worth a shot for you in this as you mentioned you were seeking a sweet/sour that worked well.
#62 by Hollywood VApes, Apr 11. 2016, 11:43
Finally got all my ingredients for this exact recipe with one tiny change...I used FW natural lemonade instead but this recipe is great and very close to the original micah. I am wondering if just toning down the sweets in this will help bring the sour out a bit more. I also got CAPs grapefruit so I will try adding a tad to this recipe and see where it goes....
#63 by monkey, Apr 17. 2016, 23:42
Thought I would provide a little update...

After a couple of weeks steeping the CAP Lemon Lime was quite nice but the lime kind of faded into the background, its nothing like the original Element but I'm going to try using it in a couple of variants of this recipe.

I also bought Nonnas Cake and CAP Cake Batter to test with.

Like others here I will probably try grapefruit at some point, I had also wondered if TPA Cream Soda maybe worth trying with it.
#64 by James Smith, Apr 26. 2016, 14:17
Just bought the bits to make this - I am an impatient guy so like to try it next day. Its nice, but for me I think the vanilla bean gelato throws it off from the original. Does anybody else get this or is it just me? Is it something that calms down after steeping?
#65 by micah, Apr 27. 2016, 00:47
The Gelato does blend after 5+ days and it's barely noticeable. TPA Vanilla Swirl is great as well e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/812
#66 by RewiredJuice, Apr 27. 2016, 14:05
In the Lucozade Pink Lemonade - which i believe elements taste like it has - Cranberry and Raspberry. Also i have convinced myself there is a sherbet in the elements pink lemonade and key lime - i am going to try this and report back with modifications using the above. Thank you for all the hard work going into it though. I believe this is the most sought after clone recipe!
#67 by MrCessna, Apr 28. 2016, 00:34
Hi Micah I have adapted you recipe and now it has the super tang that Element made so popular. I'm really pleased how this turned out! Thank you for all your hard work on your recipe, just made a few tweaks... thanks again, Mr Cessna

Van bean gelato has a funny taste to it to me as well James smith and it doesnt get better till like right at 4 weeks. Even then it still tastes gelato-like and not like a regular smooth ice cream. I used vanilla swirl and its wonderful....never tried van bean ice cream because its got warnings so I didnt buy it but I hear it taste great too. I Honestly think the point is to add a bit of vanilla creaminess to it. The latest batch I made turned out amazing right after mixing and pretty much perfect imo after steep. May raise lemonade and lower lime a point or so in the next version but wow....and yeah micah thanks for this, probably would have taken forever to get this far without this recipes help.....heres my last mix of it:

ive made a couple of batches of this adaption now, and threw MTS vape wizard in one and the other i put 1 drop per 10ml of jiff lemon juice to help the acidity of this mix. the vape wizard is good but mellows the mix to much for my liking and the lemon juice gives a good zing to the recipe. this is always an option for the people that dont have acidity concs lying around.
i will continue using this recipe as my customers enjoy this and have said its a nice pink lemonade alternative to elements when ya paying over the odds. ive found also that this mix can be a bit fussy of what coils its being used on, my cleito 0.2ohm coils dont like it but stick a .4 in there and it works wonders. i mix at 70/30 but this seems to be better at high vg. does anyone else have better options on the sweetnes and zing as discussed above. thanks micah for a top notch recipe btw. your a rising star on ELR.
#70 by micah, Jun 10. 2016, 22:33
Tried Vape wizard myself but agree it doesn't help. Lemon or lime juice is decent but I always wait a week for it to steep and then add it since it tends to go bad if not used in a week or two. Still experimenting and agree with Hollywood Vapes about using Vanilla Swirl versus the gelato. Last couple of batches I've increase the flavors almost double and added Key lime. They have been getting a lot of praise from my 4 friends who vape so I'm going to kick it up here.
#71 by Hollywood VApes, Jun 11. 2016, 08:01
been looking for a good reason to get a key lime!! thanks again micah adding that to the list....I can see how having a diff lime to back up FAs that is creamier/sweeter added might help up the twang and even help that creamy feel youre talking about...... cant wait to try it updated!!
#72 by Chris, Jun 17. 2016, 09:23
Dear Micah, that recipe looks promising although I´ve never tried the original.
I just got my order from chefsflavours. Unfortunately i forgot key lime (I could swear that key lime is new in the recipe, did you subtitute dragonfruit with key lime?). Do you know a substitution for it? Maybe I can increase the lemonade and/or the Lemon Tahity? Did you used the dragon fruit @ 2%?
I can´t wait to try it out, thank you so much!
#73 by James Smith, Jun 17. 2016, 09:25
Look at the bottom of the recipe comment. He changed it!
#74 by Chris, Jun 17. 2016, 10:00
I knew it, thx buddy
#75 by micah, Jun 17. 2016, 12:03
Yes, change Dragon Fruit for Key lime It was at 2% although it's a bit of an acquired taste so you may want to start at 1%. I liked it but after making batches with the key lime for a month I found that to be better because it gives it that slight sour note I was looking for and still tastes amazing.

You can try it after 2 days but really shines after 5+ days. Let me know what you think :)
#76 by micah, Jun 17. 2016, 12:26
Forgot to mention that there isn't a substitute for Dragon Fruit. You can still use it but if omitting it won't detract for the flavor that much. I wouldn't increase Lime cold pressed as it's already a fairly high % for that flavor. The marshmallow and vanilla helps take some of the bite out of the lime. If you have Inawera or Flavorah Lime they also work well.
#77 by Dio, Jun 24. 2016, 17:04
I try your recipe and after 2 hours hot bath and overnight stepping I have to say that is AMAZING JUICE!!! its really like as I drink a lemonade!!! So tasty and sweet! Thanks a lot mate ur the man!!!
#78 by micah, Jun 24. 2016, 22:26
Glad you like it Dio, I think the key lime was slightly too strong so I reduced it from 2% to 1.5%
#79 by Dio, Jun 25. 2016, 00:59
Also I use lemon sicily (fa) in place of lemonade. Its great!
#80 by Dio, Jun 25. 2016, 01:17
@micah when you reduce the key lime to this recipe? I ask you because I want to make this again and I don't remember if it's 1.5 or 2%when I made it
#81 by micah, Jun 25. 2016, 01:36
It was at 2%, if you want to keep it the same. It's only a small reduction but was talking away from the lemon taste. Lemon Sicily is a great substitute, you may want to reduce it to 3% since it's stronger than Flavorah lemonade. Also I note at the bottom of the description when I make any edits. I don't edit the recipe often and only when I think it's an improvement.
#82 by Dio, Jun 25. 2016, 03:14
Thanks a lot buddy. 4% lemon sicily is pretty good for me! Can't stop vape it...
#83 by Timecode, Jul 6. 2016, 16:23
Hey micah, I ordered all the ingredients, but they sent me the Lime Tahity BUT it is distilled not cold pressed, would this change it alot? just wondering if you tried it, ill probably have to wait for the cold press im guessing.
#84 by micah, Jul 6. 2016, 18:11
Distilled is not as tart as Cold Pressed but still a great lime flavor. You should be fine, recipe isn't a 100% clone anyway but still very tasty :)
#85 by simon, Jul 8. 2016, 17:09
Slightly hijacking the comments, any chance you could take a look at Frost by Element? I have tried so many different combos, nothing works.
#86 by Timecode, Jul 10. 2016, 19:20
Hey Micah, They sent me a cold press since they got my order wrong, Made it on thursday, I wanted to also ask you how long should it bee steep for minimum? I already find myself dripping it today but it does seem like it needs some more time to steep :D
#87 by Timecode, Jul 10. 2016, 19:23
Ah sorry just read your notes I see you say 5+ days :) I will be back with some thoughts in a few days
#88 by micah, Jul 10. 2016, 20:46
It's vapable the next day but definitely improves with a full steep. The Key Lime, CP lime, and vanilla swirl need a few days to settle down and blend property. I usually steep with the cap on and shake a few times each day. I go through four 30ml bottles a week so that is how many I make each week rotating out my steeped juice. Please let me know what you think :)
#89 by Tamachicken, Jul 16. 2016, 00:42
Fantastic recipe. I switched the Sweet Strawberry for Sweet Raspberry - this couldn't get much closer to Pink Lemonade. The only thing it needs is some sweetness but a natural sweetness. Not Sucralose. Any suggestions.
#90 by micah, Jul 16. 2016, 01:06
Agree that it could be slightly sweeter. Only thing I'd recommend is kicking the Sweet strawberry and tangerine up 1%, I've also kicked up the Cap Super Sweet to 2% on a few batches. Just ordered the new CAP Pink Lemonade flavor to try in place of Flavorah Lemonade to see if it's an improvement. LA lemonade is slightly sweeter if you want to try that. There aren't any sweeteners other than Sucrose that are better, I've tried them all.
#91 by micah, Jul 16. 2016, 01:11
Forgot to mention that kicking up the sweetness clogs coils faster, fine if you build your own since you can burn off the gunk and use new cotton but if you are using pre-made coils they won't last very long. vapping on a 25mm Griffin tank and I change my cotton every other day with the current mix.
#92 by James Smith, Jul 16. 2016, 08:06
That's fine because I have to change my cotton daily with element!
#93 by Tamachicken, Jul 17. 2016, 02:25
Aye, I've decided to leave any added sweetness out as on my Tsumami this has been going for nearly two days, which is the average I get out of a wick before needing to burn/rewick which is on par. Element's Pink Lemonade killed my coils in half a day.
#94 by Pugs1970, Jul 19. 2016, 18:02
I made a 100ml bottle of this last Friday, it was late....I was half asleep, and before I could do anything about it I put 1ml of Cap sugar cookie in thinking it was one of the others, I went with it anyway and I have to say its amazing, the original recipe must be special but even with the cookie its like a key lime cookie, I sold the whole bottle today (kept 20ml for myself) ....can't say if the original tastes like Element Pink Lemonade, but this recipe is epic, good skills sir! ;)
#95 by micah, Jul 19. 2016, 19:31
Thanks Pugs, I also have tried with this mix sugar cookie and Nonna cake by FA but did it on purpose :) I usually try 2-3 different flavors a month to see if I can improve it. Just mixed up a batch using 3% Cap Pink lemonade in place of Flavorah last night. Will have to see how it turns out. Glad you enjoyed the mix, I've been vapping this for over 7 months and never get tired of it :)
#96 by orajah85, Jul 22. 2016, 04:05
I have been vaping Elements Pink Lemonade for 3 months it is literally the only thing i vape i love it but it is starting to get expensive even tho i love the beakers the 125ml comes in. i have just mixed up a batch of this recipe and if it even comes slightly close to the Element one i will be a happy man. going to wait the full 5 days then have a taste. i will post back with my thoughts
#97 by orajah85, Jul 22. 2016, 04:07
Also i am a new mixer and that was my first mix and it was actually very easy and fun
#98 by Hollywood VApes, Jul 22. 2016, 04:18
Hey Micah figured I would update it seems INA ras in combo with the orange and lime makes for a nice sour skittles recipe....taste great at first then seems to turn rainbowish after a couple days lol. I was wondering if you ever tried oba oba in place of marsh here, I heard it does well with other fruits and brings some interseting flavors out in them. It also has a bit of a sour sharpness to me that seems like it may fit the profile. Once I get more natural lemonade and the key lime I will be trying some new versions, cant say I have had a bad one yet!
#99 by micah, Jul 22. 2016, 04:34
oba oba is a very overpowering flavor IMHO. It's good but not my favorite. I just recently mixed up Cap Pink lemonade which is a new flavor as of this writing. While Flavorah Lemonade is still better for this recipe Cap Pink lemonade is still very good. I'll be posting a new recipe with it soon.
#100 by micah, Jul 22. 2016, 04:44
orajah85, I'm honored that I am your first go at mixing :D Element Pink Lemonade is my favorite juice as well but would much rather mix my own. I'll be 100% honest and am first to admit it's not perfect but it's close enough and I've put in many months trying to perfect it. It's still missing a little sweetness but the Key Lime helped with the tartness. Mixing your own juice is very rewarding both financially and emotionally. Playing around with different flavors is exciting and if you mess up your only out a few dollars. I highly recommend Nicotine River for flavors, nicotine (keep mine in fridge) and VG. I haven't found a better company to deal with. I got 2 gallons of VG a few months ago when they offered free shipping for only $40. Make sure you get on the mailing list so you don't miss any deals.

I'd be very interested in what you think of this mix :)
#101 by orajah85, Jul 24. 2016, 05:29
I could not wait the full 5 days and i have just tried the mix after a 3 day steep and honestly i think it taste great. i don't think it is to far of the original. I personally think it need a bit more of a tangy sour taste.
i was even thinking of taking out the sweet strawberry.

but over all i love the mix and i will be making more and i think this will become a regular vape.
#102 by micah, Jul 24. 2016, 12:39
orajah85, glad you like it. It is missing some of that bite that the original has. I've tried adding Sour, grapefruit, cranberry, SweetTart, and a few other "sour" flavors but nothing worked. Talking out the strawberry will reduce some sweetness and could add some tartness. You can also take out the marshmallow which smooths it out. That is the great thing about making your own juice, you can make it exactly to your taste :)
#103 by Lotus 7even, Aug 9. 2016, 21:57
Excellent work. Its bold but well balanced, juicy, smooth and full of flavour. These are the type of recipes that I love. Thank you, you're effort is appreciated.
#104 by micah, Aug 9. 2016, 23:11
Glad you liked it Lotus :)
#105 by Paz, Aug 12. 2016, 18:38
Hi just tried your recipe today, it's very good. I just wondered if you had tried lemon zinger from decadent vapours as that may help with the sherbet.(Our Lime e-liquid ‘Lime Zinger’ is light and citrusy with pleasing notes of fizzy sherbet).
#106 by soulBit, Sep 7. 2016, 12:30
LA Lemonade has a good "fizz" to it, definitely worth a try
#107 by Hollywood VApes, Oct 24. 2016, 08:24
Micah do you think Cap Pink lemonade has floral notes to it....I think dragon fruit does a little too, is that why you took it out? I kinda like CAP PL.. but it seems really sweet almost candy-like in the mix around 3%. Still trying to get a good ratio between Natural lemonade FW and CAP P.L. still have not tried FLV lem. but ill get there, just costs so much more than the other brands. Wonder if theres anywhere that sells smaller tester sizes of FLV stuff? Hate getting stuck with a $5 bottle of flavor I wont use, guess its better than buying ejuice though lol ....long live DIY!!
#108 by smok, Oct 27. 2016, 09:36
@michalina
KEEP on playing with your recipe and sniff all flavours found that element pnk had pastry smells but vhen I mix fue weeks ago add instead of vanilla swap on cheesecake LA no difference fron element
AND my mates from work saing it is 1:1 100% clone.
Ta.
#109 by Amy***, Nov 5. 2016, 21:38
Nice Pink Lemonade I made it sans sweetener and it's plenty good to me , never tried the original just wanted to try your recipe. Thanks 4 the share
#110 by monkey, Nov 14. 2016, 19:02
Made 150ml of the latest version of this, much better now you have swapped out dragon fruit and added key lime, only a couple of days old but vapable, hopefully it will mellow out after a few more. Thanks!
#111 by FumaKilla, Nov 15. 2016, 01:21
Thank you for sharing.. much appreciated... one day i'll be sharing mine. right now I'm only good at creating bad one.... xD
#112 by micah, Nov 15. 2016, 22:50
Monkey, it mellows out by the 3rd day, by the 5th it's just about perfect with the vanilla swirl flavor taking the longest to steep IME. Before that the taste is a bit too bitter and chemically tasting. The marshmallow and vanilla are both used to take some of the bite off the fruit flavors and add a little more sweetness.
#113 by micah, Nov 15. 2016, 22:53
Amy, glad you tried it. You probably wouldn't like the original if you don't like sweetener.
#114 by Flavor Alchemist, Dec 29. 2016, 01:17
Looking forward to mixing both your recipes.....Preferring fruit vapes and getting tired of Strawberry Creams.....what a refreshing find... :)
#115 by micah, Dec 29. 2016, 05:29
Thanks Flavor Alchemist, while similar they have very distinct differences. The heavenly fruit is more creamy and not as tart. The pink lemonade is my favorite and I always come back to it. It's definitely more lemon/line with a hint of vanilla on the exhale. I do change my cotton every 3 days due to the coils getting gunked up but isn't much of a hassle.
#116 by KnockoffNath, Jan 16. 2017, 04:40
This is the recipe i chose for my first ever DIY juice. I have just mixed up 5 x 30ml bottles of this and it smells wonderful! I used all of the exact concentrates in your recipe except for Marshmallow (FA)... replaced with DX Marshmallow (TPA). Does this mix turn pink after steeping as mine is clear?
#117 by micah, Jan 16. 2017, 05:27
Just about every mix will turn pinkish after a week mostly due to nicotine. Most mixes are clear to start which is normal. Thank you for mixing mine first :) It is still my favorite recipe and I think you will like it after 5+ days. It's fairly vapable by the 3rd day if you can't wait.
#118 by KnockoffNath, Jan 17. 2017, 02:26
No i will wait it out for a week before i fill up my tank :) I had a little taste test this morning and it is tasting good already, strong lime flavour to begin with but i can envisage what its going to be like in a few days time, when the sweet flavours start to come through.. i cant wait. Thanks for the recipe Micah, i can see the hard work and passion you have put in to this through your comments. Keep up the good work. I'll let you know how its tasting in a few days time.
#119 by micah, Jan 17. 2017, 03:05
The lime will fade once the marshmallow and vanilla swirl kick in. I order and try new flavors monthly. Currently trying different a new Jelly Candy as it's still not a perfect clone and is missing some of the sweetness of the original. Loving this one currently, https://www.nicotineriver.com/collections/purilum-flavor-concentrates/products/purilum-jelly-candy

Might even be able to replace the Super Sweet @ 2% with it. Waiting to see how it steeps.
#120 by KnockoffNath, Jan 17. 2017, 04:14
ok good stuff! let us know how that jelly candy goes. How do you think the original gets that cloudy look? I noticed when it is in the tank it is cloudy. I thought the cold pressed lime would give that effect as it is cloudy too but it seems to have settled in to the mix.
#121 by micah, Jan 20. 2017, 11:12
Jelly is great, adds a nice sweet flavor but still trying different percentages to see what's optimal. The clouding is probably due to a ph imbalance caused by acid. The original is more tart and sweet than my clone but I still haven't nailed it down.
#122 by KnockoffNath, Jan 24. 2017, 03:20
When trying out new flavours, do you mix small samples with just the new flavour alone or do you add it into the recipe and see how it sits in? I mixed up 5 x 30ml bottles of your recipe and let it steep for a week before vaping it and it is great!! ive had small tastes through the week just to see how the different flavours start to come through and im loving the vanilla that has come only just now :) its not too far off element but like you said its not quite as sweet. which IMO is not a bad thing... Very close though and definately will be my adv for a while... well done!!
#123 by micah, Jan 24. 2017, 15:56
KnockoffNath, the vanilla will become more noticeable while the limes fill fade a bit as it steeps longer.

I buy all my stock in large quantities (VG by gallon, flavors at 2-4oz) so usually I still mix 30ml bottles even when trying new stuff. If it's bad I'm only out about $1 if I have to throw it out. If you don't have large quantities of stock then I'd recommend trying smaller 10ml batches. I also usually go through 4-5 30ml bottles a week so I plan accordingly and mix 5 bottles once a week and let it steep for 1-3 weeks depending on what's in it.

I always add new flavors into the recipe because it needs to steep all together to get the full flavor. I think if you like fruit flavors in general then this is an excellent recipe to experiment with because it's fairly forgiving with small changes.

Some of my favorite flavors I've tried with this recipe but will radically change the flavor profile are listed below. I broke them out into groups.

If fruit flavor I usually just add to the recipe but you can remove any current flavor you might not be wild about like Key Lime, Tangerine, Lemonade, etc...

If a bakery flavor (custards, crusts, creams, or dough based) then I'll usually remove Vanilla Swirl because it can mask or alter some of the true bakery flavor unless you want to keep the vanilla, but it can easily overwhelm the fruit flavors once steeped. Steeping will take 2+ weeks usually if adding bakery flavors)

If it falls under a sweetener I'd take out the Cap Supper Sweet.

Usually I'll always keep the Marshmallow @1% because it's great at mellowing out anything too harsh over a long 3+ week steep so I rarely waste any liquid.

Thanks Micah thats a lot of good info, particularly as i'm new to DIY-ing... I have been doing loads of reading on various sites and forums and i'm starting to get to grips with it all. Im going to stick to the your current recipe for now but i have a few ideas i would like to try out on my next bulk order of concentrates :) Whats your opinion on the Cap pink lemonade? I would imagine it to be more candy tasting than Flv Lemonade.
#125 by micah, Jan 25. 2017, 04:39
CAP PINK LEMONADE is good but not my favorite as it has an off after taste IMO. worth getting a small 10ml bottle to try @2%. Flavorah is much better, but if looking for a cheap alternative then Flavor West Lemonade is the next best lemonade and after that I like Inawera Lemon. Basic mixing is easy but it takes a few months to figure out how the flavors taste once layered. I've tried all the flavors I mentioned previously and know they play nice with the basic recipe @ the percentages mentioned.
#126 by Mytsly, Feb 13. 2017, 08:09
Can't wait to try this. Only problem I had was my usual flavor order site only has FW lemonade. Hope it still tastes good with the sub at the recommended percentage you suggested. I know you put alot of work into it, and wanted to mix it exact. Glad that I could at least find your second pick for the lemonade flavor on the site I use.
#127 by micah, Feb 13. 2017, 13:49
FW is my second favorite lemonade and is just slightly more bitter than flavorah but it's not a huge difference. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)
#128 by BlueNoze, Feb 18. 2017, 22:14
Sounds like you are good at cloning these recipes Micah. I've tried this now and just waiting for it to steep now. Looking forward to trying it. I've just started DIYing and want to try and replicate my favourite e juice (Passion Bomb by El Diablo) it's an outstanding fruit e juice from a relatively small vendor in the UK. Don't suppose you have ever tried it?
#129 by micah, Feb 18. 2017, 23:49
in the US and haven't seen it but it sounds like it would be easy to clone http://www.vapeclub.co.uk/el-diablo-e-liquids/passion-bomb-e-liquid-by-el-diablo.html I'd order the flavors and exerpiment starting at 2% and adjust from there. Happy you tried mine, let me know what you think once it's done steeping.
#130 by BlueNoze, Feb 19. 2017, 10:10
Yes I have started this. Order the fruits all from TPA and made 10 testers at different %ages but all seem way off. Guess patience is the key
#131 by micah, Feb 19. 2017, 13:59
The original creators could have taken years or got lucky in months coming up with their flavor. From reading interviews of the owner she said the flavors are homemade. Duplicating a recipe buying flavors is always tricky. You have to know each flavor intimately and how it will react with others. Some flavors are more powerful and will overtake all your other flavors even at low percentage. First identity the main 2-3 flavors that stick out, then narrow it down to only one main flavor and work up from there. You're lucky that it's a fruit vape and not a bakery flavor you are trying to clone since steeping is fairly quick.

I've been experimenting with this recipe for a year and a half and I still can't get it perfect, but each month I get a little closer :)
#132 by micah, Feb 19. 2017, 18:21
Getting Inawera Cactus and Purilum Strawberry Biscuit on my next flavor order to try. I've read the Cactus adds a nice juicy flavor to fruit mixes and lots of people have been raving about Purilum Strawberry Biscuit so I'm looking forward to trying both.
#133 by BlueNoze, Feb 19. 2017, 23:32
Nice. I think I need to try a different strawberry in my mix. It's overpowering all of the other flavours even at 2%, with 7% passionfruit
#134 by BlueNoze, Feb 19. 2017, 23:34
Where was this interview btw? With Dakota? I've read somewhere that she doesn't use sweetness either
#135 by micah, Feb 20. 2017, 00:05
Sorry, can't find it now. Was searching for more info on that eliquid and found an article on the whole line decribing each flavor. VG is naturally sweet and many don't. Haven't tried it so I wouldn't know.
#136 by KnockoffNath, Feb 20. 2017, 06:18
Hi Micah, im still using your recipe as my main adv. I have tried adding a handful of different fruity flavours but none of which have added anything to the overall flavour or improved it. I like the idea you have with the cactus it sounds promising, please let me know how that goes.
#137 by strat, Feb 27. 2017, 10:47
As a learning mixer it was great to hear how you processed this recipe. I made some, but had to use capella's pink lemonade,(only one available) It's very good. I think I need to up my lemonade though, Not sure how it compares in % with yours. I want it more tart. made add some tart. Thanks for the recipe, I vaped 60 mls, and will be making a lot more, it's a good change from custards.
#138 by micah, Feb 27. 2017, 15:11
Cap pink lemonade is good @ 3% but very different from Flavorah Lemonade. FW is closer or even Cap Juicy Lemon would be a decent substitute. Glad you like it:) I have INW Cactus on order now and am looking forward to adding that @1.5%
#139 by bp19801985, Mar 3. 2017, 09:13
I made 100ml of this with your exact recipe. I tried a little this morning and its amazing!!!! One of the best vapes i ever had in 4 and a half years of vaping!!!!! Making as much as i can today!!!
#140 by strat, Mar 3. 2017, 14:43
Micah, I'm trying it with cap pink lemonade as you suggested. i did try it with lemon sicily like you suggested, it was excellent. This is a great recipe, thanks.
#141 by strat, Mar 3. 2017, 14:45
would cap lemon lime be a good sub? I'm trying to get fw lemonade, I live in the philippines, flavors are limited.
#142 by micah, Mar 3. 2017, 16:47
Thanks bp19801985, glad you like it :) Fully develops after 5+ days and best if vaped within 2 weeks as the fruit flavors will fade slightly after that when the vanilla swirl and marshmallow fully kick in and mute the fruit slightly. Both the vanilla swirl and marshmallow are used to take some of the bite off the tart key lime and lime CP flavors which works great within the 2 weeks. If you want it more tart you can eliminate the marshmallow but IMO it's too tart to be enjoyable without it.

Strat, I didn't care for CAP lemon lime combo if that's what you're talking about. Better to use separate flavors IMO. CAP Pink Lemonade is decent but use sparingly around 1.5-2% as more than that can give it a weird after taste. The strawberry and tangerine will come out more but that's not a bad thing :)
#143 by bp19801985, Mar 4. 2017, 14:31
Yeah micah i only tried a tiny bit. Gonna leave it for a week and i have'nt had time to make more yet but i will be making plenty of this. Thankyou for your time and effort on this!
#144 by micah, Mar 4. 2017, 15:15
Made a batch of this adding INW cactus @ 1.5 % on Thursday (2 days ago). Cactus is supposed to add "body" and moisture to the liquid but so far it's fairly dominate. I'll update Next Week once it's steeped. I'm thinking of reducing it to 0.5 or 1% if it doesn't blend more within the week.
#145 by Wodde, Mar 6. 2017, 00:05
Micah, Cactus overpowers easily. For Juicyness use 0.3 - 0.5 :)
#146 by micah, Mar 6. 2017, 01:33
Finding that out quickly Wodde :) I still like it and won't waste it, but next batch I'll take your suggestion and use more sparingly.
#147 by Wodde, Mar 8. 2017, 01:30
Micah, have you tested INW Lemon Mix as an additive for Tartness to the Lemonade?
Lemon Mix is very strong and tastes like a real fresh pressed Lemon with a Hint of Grapefruit.
It may be worth a try at .25 :)
#148 by micah, Mar 8. 2017, 01:36
Will give it a shot, thanks Wodde :)
#149 by Magicmik, Mar 18. 2017, 20:51
First off thank you thank you thank you, I've mixed this a few times and IMHO you've nailed it, all the flavours seem to
be there and yet direct dripping to test there still seemed to be something missing, I've tried waiting and it does get better but still that "something" wasn't happening.
I was thinking maybe more sweetener to give it that "something" but that wasn't it, then I tried upping the percentages for each flavour a touch, I'm now at 20% and im sure it's there, when I say 20% I mean each separate flavour so for instance 1% becomes 1.2% etc etc, you need accurate scales but I'm elated with the result.
Regardless it's even more delicious which is down to your hard work so I thank you again, give it whirl :-)
#150 by Darth Vaper, Mar 18. 2017, 21:44
This is awesome juice! I put 6 drops of inawera exotic in 30ml of this and it's wonderful. I've been looking for something to use it in and it blends perfect with this recipe. Thanks.
#151 by micah, Mar 18. 2017, 22:09
Thanks MagicMik, worked hard in trying to make it as close as possible to the original. I've tried higher amounts myself and it does give it a little more flavor. Still think the original is better but would rather make 30ml for a $1 versus retail :)
#152 by micah, Mar 18. 2017, 22:12
Thanks Darth Vaper, will have to give exotic a try :) I tried INW Cactus and didn't care for it even only adding 0.3-1% Just throws off the whole batch IMHO.
#153 by Wodde, Mar 20. 2017, 01:15
Hey Micah, i've added 0.25 Inawera Lemon Mix in my actual Batch today, its great :) it gives a little more Zest and Harshness, give it a try :)
#154 by tommsen, Mar 31. 2017, 12:24
i love this. My ADV.
#155 by micah, Mar 31. 2017, 13:35
Thanks tommsen, glad you like it.
#156 by tommsen, Mar 31. 2017, 20:28
adding 0,5-1% INW cytryna (citrus) makes it even more delicious.
The first batch i made with 3% INW cytryna instead of Lemonade (couldnt get it here). It was great. It adds a special tartness but let the sweet tangerine also shine. You should try it.
#157 by micah, Mar 31. 2017, 20:44
Thanks, will get some next order:)
#158 by Magicmik, Apr 4. 2017, 19:07
Just picked up a load of flavours for general testing and messing about and whilst giving them a sniff and taste amongst them was Flavour west pink champagne which had a familiar ring to it, just added 6 drops to a 10ml bottle of your wonderful brew and it certainly adds a missing something I think, have you ever tried it?
#159 by Spy, Apr 25. 2017, 03:47
im doing a ghetto edition of this one because i only have lime CP, cap strawberry, sweet tangerine and vanilla swirl. I'll try using juicy lemon in the place of lemonade. for the sweeteners ill play around with sucralose and EM, maybe start at 0.75%

should i add 0.5% lime CP and a bit of vanilla swirl in the place of key lime?

#160 by micah, Apr 25. 2017, 03:55
You can add a little more CP lime in place of key lime. I wouldn't use EM and just use the sucralose @2%. Will be slightly off but should still be a decent vape. Any more Vanilla Swirl and you will loose more of the fruit flavors. Juicy Lemon is a good substitute but not as sweet as favorah.
#161 by Spy, Apr 25. 2017, 04:10
First of all thanks a lot micah, i didnt expect such a fast response!
I went 2.5% lime CP, 3% juicy lemon, 2% sweet strawberry, 2% sweet tangerine, 1% vanilla swirl and 2% sucralose.
shake and vape the lime is a bit overwhelming, cant detect any strawberry there but i still like it.
I have FA grapefruit and FA lemon sicily (also lemon meringue pie from capella and most FA creams but i cant think of much of a use for them here), any suggestions for smoothing the edges?
#162 by micah, Apr 25. 2017, 12:03
The CP lime takes at least 3 days to steep. Which strawberry? Ripe and sweet are decent shake and vape but also improve with time. The vanilla swirl and marshmallow is mostly to cut some of the bitterness and smooth out the vape. The vanilla needs 5+ days to steep IMO or it tastes a bit chemicaly. Bavarian cream @1.5% is good with fruit, don't care for too many other creams personally. Haven't found any use for grapefruit either. Experiment, make small batches (10ml), and start at 1% and work your way up until you find what you like. With new flavors I'll make a small batch of that single flavor @2-5%, let it steep, and vape it alone to get an idea of how it is and where I can blend it.
#163 by Spy, Apr 26. 2017, 05:37
I used strawberry sweet, also have Ripe though. its been a long time since i last vaped the element liq so i cant speak of the accurancy of my mix, but i like it. I just cant taste the strawberry (at least not yet), its more of a lime-lemonade mix. maybe 2.5% lime CP was a bit too much, ill see how it develops. Thanks!
#164 by Spy, Apr 28. 2017, 03:48
Cap juicy lemon instead of lemonade (same %%), FA lime CP 2.25 (no key lime), 2% sucralose in the place of Super sweet and Marshmallow, and I now dont even care about cloning Element, this is amazing ADV material. thanks for helping me out!
#165 by micah, Apr 28. 2017, 12:03
No problem, when you do get all the flavors give it a go also, much smoother and enjoyable all mixed together and steeped for a week :)
#166 by LemonFan, May 5. 2017, 16:28
Hey Micah, great looking repice! Can't wait to try it myself :)
I am quite new to DIY liquids, and not really a "Sub Ohm" vaper myself. Do you think it will make a big difference in taste if I use a 50-50 PG/VG ratio ? Thanks!
#167 by micah, May 5. 2017, 17:17
Not much of a difference but since PG isn't as sweet as VG in natural taste you will loose some of that. To be honest "sub ohm" will IMO give you the best vaping experience and be less costly. I spend less than $5 a week on vaping and I go through about 120ml-150ml a week.
#168 by LemonFan, May 5. 2017, 17:29
Thanks for you quick reply! I always thought you would use a lot more juice with "sub ohm" ? I will then definitely try it out as soon as my new vaper arrives, I mainly avoided it due to the expected higher cost, as quality liquid is a lot more expensive over here in Europe.
#169 by micah, May 5. 2017, 17:39
Depends on the tank, your nicotine % (I'd start at 3% for sub ohm), what temp/watt you vape at, and even how you build your coils and wick. When you buy in PG/VG in bulk (gal or 4 liters) and get your flavors in 2+OZ the cost per 100ml is very cheap. Checkout this article for the difference between above and below ohm vaping. http://pinkspotvapors.com/blog/above-ohm-vaping-vs-sub-ohm-vaping/
#170 by Hollywood VApes, May 8. 2017, 02:37
Micah I really loved the original and have made this recipe a while and I feel I may have found a missing ingredient, raspberry. Now I have tried a LOT of razzs and most are crap but I made one version with this new one I got, INA Wera Garden Raspberry, and Cap Ras V2 ......but I think the INA WG razz is the ticket. If you get a chance to try it, I swear its worth it. Its a good candy razz flavor, sweet and sour. I am still on the fence about getting Flavorah lemonade as I am totally satisfied with the FW natural lemonade so far. Anyways thanks for always responding and working hard on this recipe!
#171 by micah, May 8. 2017, 03:23
Thanks Hollywood, I'll get it on my next order :)
#172 by Hollywood VApes, May 8. 2017, 04:04
ok sweet please lmk what you think! Hey btw where do you buy the tpa key lime? wiz labs? I havent seen it at bull city or ECX....
#173 by micah, May 8. 2017, 12:18
TFA Key Lime is at Bull City and Nicotine River.
#174 by Hollywood VApes, May 8. 2017, 23:37
Oh wow I missed it on my last order, maybe they were out...I went to Bull City and also saw FA Florida Key lime, you tried that one yet? not many reviews but I found one good one on reddit
www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/68hl9y/fa_florida_key_lime/
May order this one next to try as well!!
#175 by micah, May 8. 2017, 23:49
Yep, saw it on Nicotine River also and will get on my next order. https://www.nicotineriver.com/products/flavourart-florida-key-lime
looks promising as well.
#176 by bruce, May 14. 2017, 00:30
micah.i know its been a while but how are you doing with your clone of element?
What about vinegar?Apple cider,or white??
Also,i hate cap super sweet, sucralose,or any diet tasting sugars but I have used just regular liquid cane sugar. They sell it in liquid form, and I think a lot of fast food places use it in their desserts.
#177 by micah, May 14. 2017, 01:54
Bruce, why vinegar, Apple or white cider? I don't taste any of those flavors in the original. You can use liquid sugar but wouldn't if diabetic. I'm constantly trying new flavors to try to improve it. I have a batch mixed with CAP juicy lemon instead of Flavorah lemonade that tastes great but it's only been steeping for 3 days so far.
#178 by bruce, May 14. 2017, 02:38
I don't know why add vinegar but some well known mixers use it,and at the amounts used it would be tasteless.Same as Charlie noble using saline in his released pb cereal recipe.
We will never know exactly what people are using, and any 100% clone is impossible but one thing I have learned is,rule nothing out.
#179 by James Smith, May 14. 2017, 02:47
Using that logic we should try putting in tobacco, chocolate and pickle because...... you never know...
#180 by Spacegost , May 15. 2017, 11:50
how integral is the Key lime to the recipe? compared to the real thing?
#181 by micah, May 15. 2017, 12:08
Spacegost, IMO the original always had more lime than lemon taste to me so it's fairly important if you thought that also. The CP Lime is part that gives it the tang while the Key lime adds a bit of zest. Not that it still won't taste great without it, just not as close as the original. If not using I'd add 1-2% more Sweet Strawberry or Tangerine.
#182 by Mytsly, May 15. 2017, 14:51
Does this not age well? When I first made it, it tasted amazing. Since it did I made a 200 ml batch. Tasted awesome, but now it's horrid. It's a couple months old. This is the only recipe I've had do this to me, and it gives me the sad as it's still mostly full. Just wondering if I'm the only one this has happened to. I don't vape it too often, so maybe just a 30 ml at a time would be better.
#183 by micah, May 15. 2017, 15:52
Mytsly, never had a problem with long steeps except the lime fading a bit which is natural. Longest I've left it age is 5 months but still was fine. I know any juice can have problems if you don't have a clean mix to begin with. Mold, and other bacteria can easily make any recipe nasty after a few months. That is why large companies use "clean rooms" when making to help prevent it from being contaminated. What I do personally is run my glass bottles (and glass dropper and cap separated) through the dishwasher letting them air dry after I'm done with the bottle. Skinny plastic bottles are great for carrying but a little harder to clean so I use a small bottle brush to make sure it's clean.

I don't let it steep for more than 3 weeks usually and make 120ml each week and rotate stock. I have about 10 bottles with experimental flavors that are 8+ months old that are slight variations of this recipe that I vape occasionally and all those taste fine as well.
#184 by KnockoffNath, May 15. 2017, 19:02
I had some that turned nasty after a couple of months but i think that was down to the nicotine i was using at the time and not the recipe... I haven't mixed this up for a while now so i may mix up a batch later as i do miss this juice :) I found that the older the juice becomes the weaker the citrus becomes and more dominated by marshmallow so agree with Micah that probably best to do a weeks worth at a time.
#185 by murphy74, May 16. 2017, 05:08
just mixed this today...great shake and vape, and even better just a few hours later! Can't wait to see how it is after a few weeks! Thanks for sharing this :)
#186 by micah, May 16. 2017, 20:26
Thanks Murphy, I never could really enjoy it until the 5+ day since the strawberry, lime, & tangerine were a bit over powering (chemical and not smooth) but I'm glad you like it. Experimenting with this recipe is fairly easy adding or substituting just about any fruit or bakery flavor around 1%-2.5% so have fun with it :)
#187 by bruce, May 18. 2017, 05:14
JAMES SMITH.....
Show me an article where it says to put that in a mix.I can show you all day long where mixers put apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, lemon juice.
Don't be a moron
#188 by Pirate, May 19. 2017, 03:45
I just made a 10ml sample and vaped it side by side with Elements juice.. now i realize its not a shake and vape but it was very close. I put one drop of real lemon juice from my fridge and i think that did the trick! anyone else do this? before i make a huge batch ill wait to hear from you guys. i'm still very new to the DIY thing here.
#189 by micah, May 19. 2017, 12:03
Pirate, I've used real lemon and lime juice and it works but won't last long before going bad. I don't add until after recipe is steeped and then add a few drops and shake and vape. It does give it a nice tartness but it's not bad without it either. If looking for similar flavor I'd use CAP Juicy Lemon around. 5% instead.
#190 by diydave86, May 22. 2017, 02:03
Micah this was probably asked somewhere, can the key lime be dropped without hurting the flavor too much or is there a sub i can use. I ran out of key lime and im not ordering Bull city for another 2 weeks. Thanks
#191 by micah, May 22. 2017, 03:41
Diydave86, Key Lime can be dropped without affecting the flavor too much. No need to sub as the CP Lime gives it a decent amount of flavor on its own.
#192 by Jooshwa, May 29. 2017, 04:18
Mixed this up a week ago, and the 1 week steep time is spot on. The lime is very overpowering any sooner than that. The flavor is more of a lemonhead candy than lemonade, but it is really good.
#193 by micah, May 29. 2017, 04:33
Thanks Jooshwa, I'm a huge fan of lemonhead candy (go through 3 boxes a week) and agree. The original is even sweeter and more tart than my clone but it's pretty close. The lime does need time to fade a bit before its ready to vape. Glad you tried it out :)
#194 by Omnify_vaping, May 30. 2017, 01:53
Have you ever mixed this at max vg? I placed an order for the ingredients and forgot to buy pg.
#195 by micah, May 30. 2017, 03:09
Not really possible since most flavors are PG based but I usually add all VG to top it off and the only PG is from the flavors so it's really about 13.5/86.5 PG/VG which makes it slightly sweeter. Not adding any PG won't affect it since it's a very small amount anyways.
#196 by Omnify_vaping, May 30. 2017, 04:10
Okay thank you. Can't wait to mix this one up!
#197 by strat, May 30. 2017, 14:35
Hi Micah, I've made this recipe several times, love it. I was wonder at what ohm and watt to you get the most flavor from a juice. I've been experimenting with coils and and wonder where the best flavor % would be. I don't care about clouds, I want the flavor.
#198 by micah, May 30. 2017, 15:46
Omnify, I've experimented with Titanium, SS, and Kanthal wire and I've always got the best flavor with Kanthal Clapton coils personally. I've been using LightingVapes wire for the last 6 months and have been very happy with it. (I think they ship worldwide and prices are great)
https://www.lightningvapes.com/products/clapton-wire?variant=9299705797

I do 7 wraps around 2mm screwdriver and ohms comes out to 0.76 with dual coil. Vape around 20-25 watts 25 on tanks and around 40 watts on my dripper. You want decent air flow but not too much or else you will loose flavor.

Favorite tanks for using at home:
Avocado 24mm RDTA and the Velocity V2

Away from home I use the GeekVape Griffin 25 plus with top air flow but it's getting hard to find. The regular Griffin 25 is really good as well.
#199 by strat, May 30. 2017, 18:21
thanks, good info to know, what gauge of wire are you using? I love my avocado, have a top flow griffin but since I've got my avocado it doesn't get used.. I've been wrapping 26 kanthal on a 3mm post, I'm going to try two to see if it gets more flavor. I tried some clapton coils because I kept hearing the flavor from those are great, I didn't think so and the ramp up time to heat em up bugged me.
#200 by micah, May 30. 2017, 19:31
strat, the wire I linked above from LightingVapes is 36K wrapped around a 26K wire. Both are fairly thin wire and together make up the equivalent of using a wire slightly larger than 26K. Even at 25 watts ramp up time is about 2-3 seconds when wrapped 7 times at 2mm. I think the problem might be the 3mm diameter size you are using or you were using a Clapton size that was larger which would increase your ramp up time.

Additionally the larger the diameter, the more wire you are using, and the higher ohms which will take longer to ramp up at the same wattage as using a 2mm diameter. You also are using more cotton with the larger diameter which could "potentially" lead to dryer hits since more of the wick needs to be filled up.

That's not an issue with the Avacado or a drip tank but could be with other tanks like the regular Griffin which doesn't feed juice as quickly. The Griffin 25+ increased the feed holes so it's not an issue with that one either.

Using a 2mm to 2.5 diameter coil with just enough cotton to gently pull through the hole and leaving about 1/2" on the ends to feed the wick is perfect after years of experimenting with different methods. The cotton will expand slightly when wet and you shouldn't have any leaking issues if done correctly.

I change my cotton every other day or everyday depending on how much I've vaped (average 120ml a week) and a bag of CottonBacon lasts me about 3-4 months. Every time I remove my cotton I burn off excess gunk off my coils using 60 watts at 10 seconds, run the coils under tap water, (don't get mod wet) and repeat about 3-4 times. I change my coils once a week although I probably could go longer, but I like very fresh tasting liquid. The 25 foot roll lasts me about 5 months. (you get 42 seven inch strands and with dual coil that's 21 coil changes for $10.99 per roll)

The thing I like about Clapton coils is the juice tends to intertwine between the wrapped coil which gives it more surface area and gives me much more flavor. You can get similar using a 26k or 28k straight wire with same micro 2mm coil but it's not as intense in flavor for me personally.
#201 by KnockoffNath, May 30. 2017, 19:51
Great stuff Micah!! I read this with interest as i have recently purchased a dripper, i have gone with a wotofo troll v2, partly because it is cheap and highly rated. I shall try to order the clapton wire you linked to but i am in uk so will find a supplier over here. Just mixed up a 300ml batch of your recipe and still in my adv cycle. Thanks for all the advice!
#202 by strat, May 31. 2017, 03:08
thanks for the reply. I'll get some wire you described and try a 2mm wrap. the slow ramp up time is something I'll have to get use to. This kind of info is so critical but not talked about much, if we go to the trouble to mix our own juice you're going to want the max flavor set up in your atty. some of the most popular recipes are a few years old and the technology has come a long way since then, wonder if older recipes still hold up. If you ever start mixing mangos I'd like to hear about it. I've been trying to make a mango, tried many combos, no luck. there's a desert here in the Philippines called mango float, it's just fresh mango condensed milk with graham cracker crust. Finding the right cream is also a struggle. FA, condensed milk isn't it. sweet cream, bav cream, vienna, is a no.trying fresh cream now. Thanks for the tips on...everything.
#203 by Omnify_vaping, Jun 7. 2017, 18:39
Wow! Second day after mixing this recipe and I just mixed up another 200mls. This recipe is fantastic! Great job!
#204 by Omnify_vaping, Jun 7. 2017, 18:40
Also just letting you know I wound up using jelly candy by purilum.
#205 by micah, Jun 7. 2017, 19:03
Love Purilum Jelly Candy, it's a great replacement for Marshmallow as it goes better with fruit flavors and doesn't mute the tartness as much. Just wish it was easy to get world wide or I'd replace it in the recipe. Recipe is best after a week's steep so the lime can settle down and the vanilla mixes well. Purilum Exotic Fruit is great also if you like a little coconut flavor and mixes well with all fruit flavors. Glad you like it:)
#206 by Omnify_vaping, Jun 7. 2017, 19:30
Yeah I can't wait after a week it's probably gonna be great. Because right now it's delicious but slightly harsh from the lime. And I would try the coconut but every coconut eliquid I've had doesn't react well with me for some reason. It seems to close up my throat, so from now on I steer clear of coconut haha. But for someone whose not allergic I could see it pairing quite nice. Thanks again for the recipe, I can already tell I'll be vaping a lot of this throughout the summer!
#207 by Irish Sergio, Jun 13. 2017, 23:14
hello guys please help, can't figure out what lime this recipe use. On Flavour Art website there are two.. Lime Cold Pressed and Lime Tahity Distilled
Cheers
#208 by micah, Jun 13. 2017, 23:28
It' cold pressed lime.
#209 by Omnify_vaping, Jun 13. 2017, 23:50
How big of a difference does that make? Because I made it with distilled and the lime really faded over the past week.
#210 by micah, Jun 14. 2017, 00:39
Both will fade after a week but cold pressed is more tart and lasts longer IMO. 2% of CP is designed to be enjoyable after it steeps. It's pretty intense before 5 days. With both CP Lime and Key West you should easily taste it after steeping.
#211 by Jooshwa, Jun 14. 2017, 22:56
After my initial mixing of this being a total success I have mixed up several more bottles. I am wondering though. Have you allowed this to steep for a month or even several months, and was the flavor adversely affected by this?
#212 by micah, Jun 14. 2017, 23:12
Longest I've let this exact recipe steep is about 3 months and it holds up pretty decent. Only think I noticed was the lime flavor had faded a bit and it wasn't as tart. usually I make a week's worth at a time and rotate stock every 3 weeks. I have one batch that was slightly altered (Bavarian cream and sweet cream added to this recipe) that I vape that is 6 months old and delicious when I want something other than mostly fruit flavor.
#213 by Loonicorn, Jun 15. 2017, 07:11
This is a really excellent vape. Never tried the original but now I don't need to! This is a perfect vape for summer! And I love that it only needs a week to steep. Most of my other favorites are bakeries and/or creams so it is nice to have something so delicious that I don't have to plan for a month in advance. I made a 30 mL bottle last weekend and it's already yummy. This weekend I am making 120 mL and it is going into my regular rotation. Thanks so much for all the time and work you put into this.
#214 by micah, Jun 16. 2017, 17:12
Thanks for the kind words Loonicorn. I still love those 1+ month steep mixes also as they are a labor of love :)
#215 by Rytis, Jun 25. 2017, 16:47
I can't say enough thanks for this recipe, its ideal for me.The flavours stands out truoght time and vanilla comes out out of nowhere on a 3rd day. Great ADV. Thanks for sharing!!
#216 by micah, Jun 25. 2017, 16:59
Thanks Rytis, glad you like it. Works well as a base mix also for experimenting with other fruit and bakery flavors. I've listed quite a few in the comments above, you can either add or substitute flavors to play with it. I'd recommend starting @ 1% for most new flavors and working up from there.
#217 by Rytis, Jun 25. 2017, 17:14
Im novice, so really thankfull for advice, i see a combination up here -vanilla swirl with marshmallow ratio ,that i woudlike to fit in to the papaya icecream, thats what im doing now.
#218 by Geb, Jul 1. 2017, 05:12
I have everything to try this but the lemonade and the tangerine (I do get the irony of that given this is a lemonade juice). I have LB Pink lemonade (I purchased it on a whim during a liquid barn sale in the unlikely event that I might enjoy a lemonade-ish juice). I'll use that just to get a general sense of a lemonade vape. Anything I might be able to use as a sub for the tangerine? I do have CAP juicy orange.
#219 by Rytis, Jul 1. 2017, 07:18
I have tryed to sub tangerine with CAP Mandarin- juice went flat, missed that bite of jusiness.Vapable, but nothing to compare to.
#220 by micah, Jul 1. 2017, 11:41
You can use CAP Juicy Orange but it won't be as sweet or tangy. The FLV lemonade is the best IMO but I've subbed it with many other lemon flavors and it should give you decent results.
#221 by 8062282, Jul 3. 2017, 19:59
Made this with FW lemonade & it's really good, thanks..
#222 by Geb, Jul 12. 2017, 05:34
Mixed this with two subs: CAP Jelly Candy for FA Marshmallow (read in one of your notes that Purillum Jelly Candy was good in the mix so I tried the CAP) and 1% TPA orange cream (I find TPA Orange cream to be really strong so lowered it to 1%) for 2% CAP Sweet Tangerine (could not find sweet tangerine anywhere when I put in my last order for July 4th sales). Orange cream was the only orange flavor I own - I don't really do citrus but am now experimenting. Do you think CAP Grapefruit (which I just got in) at 2% might have been the better sub? Either way will note in a week or so how it came out with my subs.
#223 by Geb, Jul 12. 2017, 05:37
EDIT - I had CAP juicy orange in my stash but missed it (when I scanned my flavor stash here on ELR I looked at Orange (and saw only orange cream) and when right by the "juicy" entries. The Cap juicy orange would certainly have been the better sub than the TPA orange cream. will use the CAP juicy orange next time if I still can't find sweet tangerine anywhere.
#224 by Loonicorn, Jul 12. 2017, 05:54
I get the sweet tangerine at bullcityflavors.com, which is where I get all my flavors. It really shines in this fantastic recipe. If you can make it as written I would. It is truly divine!
#225 by Geb, Jul 12. 2017, 06:01
@Loonicorn - I just placed an order for 20 or so flavors at bullcity during their july 4th sale. they had everything I was look for - except the sweet tangerine. it's possible it's back in stock now, but wasn't in stock last week.
#226 by Loonicorn, Jul 12. 2017, 06:09
Oh snap, that sucks! Well at least you know they do carry it. Hopefully they will have it soon. Grab a bigger bottle if they do lol
I can make one more 120 mL of this recipe before I have to reorder and I will definitely be buying bigger bottles of everything. I seriously can't get enough of this. Cheers!
#227 by Spy, Jul 13. 2017, 01:29
hey micah, around 3 months and 50 comments earlier I was discussing some flavor substitutions for your recipe, ended up pretty good.
I followed your advice and made your recipe as is, as a s'n'v I wasnt that amazed, I actually slightly preferred my remix.
So I left it in my cupboard for 9 days (was aiming for a week but forgot).
Now I get it, this is an AMAZING summer vape, 100mls are already steeping. 6 out of 5 stars :)
#228 by P10TSN, Jul 13. 2017, 22:18
I've just mixed up a batch of this and after 5 days or so it still taste of nothin where am I going wrong pink lemonade is one of my fav but at £20 ever week I really could do with getting this right as it will save me a bomb
#229 by micah, Jul 14. 2017, 20:26
P10TSN, it should be decently steeped after 5 days but I keep a 3 week rotation personally. If you still can't taste it kick up the lemonade, strawberry, and lime CP (not key) up by 1% (0.3ml for 30ml bottle) and let me know after a week of steeping. I occasionally kick up those 3 flavors when I want a little stronger mix.
#230 by P10TSN, Jul 14. 2017, 21:56
Not sure if I've done it right but I mixed up 100ml batch using the same % on the different flavours that u used I'm sure it donesnt make a difference
#231 by micah, Jul 15. 2017, 03:44
Doesn't make a difference if % is the same mixing 100ml. My recipe is a close clone but not perfect. It's missing the sweetness and tartness of the original. Still should be very tasty though.

Once steeped the limes mellow out, it sweetens up, and you should get a hint of vanilla. You haven't described any flavors you detect so not sure what is off. I know if it's not fully steeped the the lime will be a bit bitter and chemical tasting. Kicking up the 3 flavors I mentioned by 1% adds quite a bit of more flavor but may be too much for some. If it's bitter I'd let it steep longer, if sweet but lacking flavor I'd add a little more.
#232 by P10TSN, Jul 15. 2017, 10:57
Yeah your right I'm only getting a little lime taste but very chemical taste so I'll let it steep for another week before I try again or try adding any thing to it
#233 by micah, Jul 21. 2017, 19:56
P10TSN,been a week and am curious if it's improved after steeping. Recipe is only 13.5% flavor but some of those flavors are fairly strong. Limes should have mellowed out by now with the strawberry, vanilla, and marshmallow starting to be noticed.
#234 by MrBrown, Jul 22. 2017, 08:44
Have that recipe the fizz touch of the original?
#235 by micah, Jul 22. 2017, 14:35
MrBrown, I personally never tasted fizz in the original but others have. A few people add 1% of TFA Citrus Punch or Champagne to get the fizz taste.
#236 by MrBrown, Jul 22. 2017, 15:29
The fizz was just what made me fall in love with this e-liquid! But when I wrote to TPA for a fizzy flavor they told me that's simply it does not exist since to fiz a drink it's needed to carbonate :-) So they explained me that probably there was an ingredient in that e-liquid that my mind remember to have been drunk in a a carbonate drink. I find this a possible explication and I thought that ingredient was lemon. Do you think it's possible? And if so, what kind of lemon fit better a fizzy effect? I read somewhere a "sherbet" lemon....
#237 by micah, Jul 22. 2017, 22:41
Some have recommended lime sherbet zinger from decadent vapor out of the UK but I haven't been tried it. In USA. I've only tried FA Rainbow Sherbet and it doesn't improve the mix. For lemon you could add Lemon Sicily or Juicy Lemon @1% to see if it helps.

Just recently ordered the flavors below to try.
Real Flavors Strawberry Lemonade - 2oz 1
Flavourart FlavourArt Vienna Cream - 2oz
I try at least 2 new flavors a month to try to improve this recipe.
#238 by MrBrown, Jul 23. 2017, 18:24
Ok Micah, Thank you. I wil report you. Other question. Do you think it will be very different if I use TPA's sweetner instead of Super Sweet CAP? Because i cannot find here in Spain
#239 by micah, Jul 23. 2017, 22:11
TPA sweetener is about half as sweet as Caps sweetener but works well. I'd start at 1.5% and add a little more if you think it needs it. You already have some sweetness from the sweet strawberry and tangerine.
#240 by MrBrown, Jul 23. 2017, 23:33
Thanks again Micah. I find a credit to you here : https://alltheflavors.com/flavors/flavorah-lemonade
I didn't know you are so famous :-)
#241 by micah, Jul 24. 2017, 04:12
Woodie's own variation on my recipe :) He and a few others have made this recipe with variations on here also. I have always said this is a great base mix to experiment with :) I experiment monthly as well trying to improve it. The current recipe is the best I can get it using the fewest flavors. Vaping is pretty personal and everyone has their own preferences so I always encourage people to experiment and make what they like :)
#242 by MrBrown, Jul 25. 2017, 17:52
I'm buying in Portugal the Flavorah Lemonade. Do you recommend me some other flavor of this vendor that worth the money?
#243 by micah, Jul 25. 2017, 21:25
In relation to this recipe? Flavorah Cotton Candy is good as a replacement for Marshmallow @ same 1%. I like most of Flavorah flavors but for other recipes. I list many other vendor flavors that are great to experiment with in the comments here.
#244 by micah, Aug 1. 2017, 17:11
FW Sweetener is fine, the mostly VG mix is decently sweet without any sweetener and you also have sweet strawberry and sweet tangerine as sweeteners so you will be fine :)
#245 by 420vapekingxD, Aug 5. 2017, 23:25
Mixed up 120 mLs of this. Did a shake and vape test and can definitely see where the recipe will go after a 5 day steep and the citrus elements settle down a bit. Expecting it to be excellent at that point.
Thanks!
#246 by micah, Aug 6. 2017, 16:02
Thanks Vape King, I'm always experimenting trying to improve this recipe. Mixed it up using Real Flavors Strawberry Lemonade @ 3% with no Flavorah Lemonade Reduced the Sweet Strawberry from 2% to 1%
Added CAP Juicy Lemon @ 2%
Substituted the Vanilla Swirl for FlavourArt Vienna Cream same 1%
Reduced CAP Super Sweet from 1% to 0.5%

Currently the strawberry is a little too dominant but is sweeter and tart like the original. Making new batches today to dial it in more. While I love Flavorah Lemonade I feel it is still missing some of the punch of the original. I'll probably update the recipe in a few weeks once I figure out the right % for the other flavors mentioned.
#247 by MrBrown, Aug 7. 2017, 00:36
I'm skeptical about Vienna Cream FA because it has an alcoholic note and sincerely I don't taste any alcohol in the pink lemonade of Element. If I can give you a suggestion I'd tell you about the Zeppola flavor of FA https://flavourart.com/en/store/flavors/sweet/zeppola-flavor/ at very low % it can give you the right sweetnes
#248 by micah, Aug 7. 2017, 05:10
Vienna cream doesn't have an alcoholic note to me in this mix @ 1%, but I'll keep zeppola in mind for future order. I like a small amount of cream, vanilla swirl, or marshmallow to slightly soften the fruit flavor. After its steeped for a week it's very faint or noticeable. I think the marshmallow is causing it to take a little too much bite out of the fruit, whereas the cream is smooth but still let's the sweetness and tartness shine. I won't change anything unless it's an improvement and will make notes in the description. Still early in testing.
#249 by 420vapekingxD, Aug 11. 2017, 22:49
After a 6 day steep this recipe is fantastic! After the steep the citrus notes mellow out allowing the "pinkness" in the lemonade to stand out among the pronounced lime notes. The vape itself leaves a very pleasing wet feeling of lemonade in the mouth. About to brew up 240 MLs just so I have it around. Thanks again for the recipe Micah.
Just to give some feedback I feel like the recipe could use a bit more bite, but I realize the balancing act between a nasty sour and a smooth lemonade with a hint of bite is very hard to achieve through eliquid. If I were to up some of the citrus flavors what would you think Micah?
#250 by 420vapekingxD, Aug 11. 2017, 22:49
Also Im using FW lemonade at 5% in place of Flavorah. Everything else is 1 to 1 currently
#251 by Geb, Aug 11. 2017, 22:59
@Micah - mixed a second batch as described with no subs now that I had everything ordered. Much better and more balanced without the subs. thanks for sharing.
#252 by Jvtrickster, Aug 11. 2017, 23:37
I had everything but flavorahh lemonade so I used FW lemonade instead. So far this has been my fav mix on here and I have tried dozens. This one is going on heavy rotation. I think I will have to pickup some Flavorahh lemonade now just to see the difference. Thanks for all the work you put into this one it's amazing!
#253 by A.D.V., Aug 12. 2017, 06:52
exceptional recipe!!!! made exact. can be s&v but better 1-5 days. am usually sensative to lime flavors so made a second batch with 4% FLV lemonade and no FA lime Tahiti. For my tastes its only better because of my aversion to lime tahiti (i do however like TPA key lime). very sweet but rightly so and true to form! I DO NOT RECCOMEND FW LEMONADE!- it was acceptable but even using at 4% is in no way as good as FLV's offering. thanks for the bangin recipe!
#254 by micah, Aug 12. 2017, 13:33
Vape King, bought a 20ml bottle of Element Pink Lemonade 2 days ago to refresh my memory. My mix is still missing some of the bite of the original but Element was slightly harsh compared to my mix. It is a delicate balancing act finding the perfect combo of adding bite without making it too bitter. That's why Key lime is in the mix instead of Dragon Fruit which helps. Not sure if Element changed something or because I've been vaping my mix so long but I like my mix better overall. Element bottle was a very dark amber color so it could have been a bit old.
#255 by micah, Aug 12. 2017, 13:35
GEB, glad you like it. Using all the exact flavors does help with the flavor :)
#256 by micah, Aug 12. 2017, 13:40
A. D. V. I'd make a small batch with Lime CP @ 1% and let it steep for a week or two. I rotate a two week steep personally with this mix and even at 2% lime CP I can barely taste it.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I read every comment and appreciate the feedback.
#257 by Mike, Aug 16. 2017, 22:03
Good stuff. Definitely in the top 3 recipes I've made from this site so far. Personally, it's a sweeter than I would like, but still 5/5 starts. Definitely wait at least a couple days before putting it in the tank.
#258 by micah, Aug 17. 2017, 04:27
Thanks for the kind words Mike. With sweet strawberry and tangerine you could eliminate the CAP Super Sweet next batch. The original is very sweet as well.
#259 by 420vapekingxD, Aug 24. 2017, 17:45
Hey Micah making a flavor order now and buying 4 oz bottles of the flavors in this recipe. I made your recipe the same except for substituting FW lemonade for Flavorah. Is the Flavorah significantly different in your opinion? Is it worth spending 7.50 for a 15 ml opposed to 7.50 for 4 oz. of FW? Thanks again Currently have 300 mls of this in my steeping drawer!
#260 by Jooshwa, Aug 24. 2017, 20:34
I accidentally mixed up 120ml using TPA Strawberry. I hope it turns out good, because I don't have enough lemonade left to make another batch at the moment. Flavor notes for TPA strawberry and CAP Sweet strawberry are pretty similar, so I have high hopes here.
#261 by micah, Aug 25. 2017, 15:20
420vapekingxD, FW Lemonade is a decent substitute, but Flavorah has more kick and "realness" to it's lemonade flavor IMO.

Another great substitute I've been experimenting with is RF Strawberry Lemonade @2% http://www.realflavors.com/shop/strawberry-lemonade/

It's made with VG vs PG and is sweet, tart, and very delicious.

If you try it reduce the CAP Sweet Strawberry to 1% or else the strawberry flavor will overwhelm the mix even with a good steep.
#262 by micah, Aug 25. 2017, 15:32
Jooshwa, TPA Strawberry is fine. I prefer the Ripe version if substituting, but the only difference you should notice is slightly less sweet.

The CAP Sweet Strawberry tastes more like Smucker's strawberry jam or a strawberry candy, whereas TPA Strawberry is more authentic. Both are great IMO but I prefer CAP for this recipe to help get it closer to the sweetness of the original.
#263 by 420vapekingxD, Aug 25. 2017, 17:16
Just put an order in that includes perelium jelly candy, excited to try it in place of the marshmallow
#264 by micah, Aug 25. 2017, 19:52
The Perelium Jelly Candy is a nice replacement :) I'm also experimenting with FlavourArt Vienna Cream same 1% instead of Vanilla Swirl. I love Vanilla Swirl but the cream is a nice change and isn't as noticeable. I'm almost done testing. I wasn't going to update this recipe but create a new one since it's a decent departure from the clone but even better IMHO.

I love ELEMENT Pink Lemonade, but hadn't tried the original for about 3 months. Just picked up a bottle last week and it's a little harsher than I remembered with a hint of grapefruit along with lemon, lime, strawberry, etc.. I've detected grapefruit before and I like the flavor but haven't found a eliquid flavor of grapefruit that I like yet.

The only popular one I haven't tried yet is White Grapefruit - Inawera Flavours and it's being ordered next.
#265 by Geb, Aug 25. 2017, 20:15
@micah. I've never tasted element lemonade or the originals of the vast majority of clone recipes I've mixed. Its been my experience that many clone recipes are better than the original. In the past year I've purchased perhaps 3 or 4 commercial juices. One doesn't have a spot on clone anywhere to be found (placid) and the 3 other juices I purchased were just "ok" - I've mixed way better juices from recipes found here on ELR and ATF and reddit. Based on that I don't even read comments to see if people think a juice tastes "as good" as the original. I just read to see if people like a mix generally. This is a good mix. I suspect the original would disappoint me - especially since you can't tweak commercial juice for personal tastes.
#266 by micah, Aug 26. 2017, 01:35
@Geb, very true and I do like my mix better than the original, but I figure if I'm going to call it a clone I might as well try to get it as close as possible :) Plus experimenting is most of the fun!
#267 by Geb, Aug 26. 2017, 05:11
@micah - I agree with you. I guess my comment should have said something to the effect that "clone" is probably not the right word for many juices. Perhaps "remix" or "inspired by" might more accurately capture what many mixers are doing. Since I've gone DIY I'm less and less satisfied with commercial juice: it's too expensive for what it is and I can find much better recipes for far less money. As an example I've never tried Naked 100 Lava Flow. I mixed two different "clone" recipes last week. One was "good" and one was "outstanding I'm gonna make a 120ml bottle next time good". both were similar but one had a sweet coconut note that really hit the spot for me. In the comments on both recipes was some (different) guy complaining it was not the same as the original. to me it doesn't matter - both are really good juices. likewise this lemonade juice whether close to element or not is beside the point from my perspective. from the comments alone I could tell this was going to be a good juice. commercial companies often don't put in the time, effort, trial and error etc. to perfect a single juice. they often stop at "good enough and it will sell". DIY enthusiasts go the extra 10 miles to get that one perfect juice. the more I find those recipes the more I realize that's why DIY juice is so superior to commercial.
#268 by KnockoffNath, Aug 26. 2017, 21:48
You are spot on there @Geb! There are very few 'Premium' liquids that i enjoy but loads of DIY liquids that i love, this being one of them!.. I have tried Element pink lemonade and it was the first liquid i vaped that got me off the cigs, the first liquid that had the wow factor! I think Micah's interpretation of it is even better! it captures what is great about element but without the 10-20% sweetening agent. I love this recipe just as it is but in the UK Flavorah are expensive so i dont mix this up as much as i would like!
#269 by MrBrown, Aug 27. 2017, 17:48
For grapefruit you'd try uva fragola of flavour art https://flavourart.com/it/compra-online/aromi/dolci/aroma-uva-fragola/
#270 by 420vapekingxD, Aug 27. 2017, 17:59
@knockoffnath Try using FlavorWest lemonade in place of flavorah I use this substitution (recommended by Micah) at 5% and it comes out fantastic. Though I havent had the chance to try it with Flavorah lemonade yet so maybe theres a lot im missing out on. Id say its worth a try to pick up some FW lemonade though.
#271 by A.D.V., Aug 28. 2017, 07:06
micah, the only two grapefruits i think are worth a look for element are CAP sweet grapefruit (more candy and has greater body) but you will have to use high, like 3-5% even to taste it (will sweeten too). INW white grapefruit is more than likely the better option as its tart, bitter and very cirtusy, use at 0.5%. thanks for all your hard work!
#272 by Brett, Aug 28. 2017, 12:37
Just made 30ml. One vape, then immediately made another 60ml. Can't wait to see how the flavour develops over the next few days. I also vaped the Element side-by-side, there is a slight / almost imperceptible difference (maybe because of steeping), but I prefer yours - Micah you're a genius!
#273 by micah, Aug 29. 2017, 15:08
Thanks Brett :) It's not an exact clone (yet) while the original is slightly sweeter and has a grapefruit note I haven't been able to duplicate. It's close enough that it should be very enjoyable once steeped for around 5+ days that the limes settle down and the vanilla swirl kicks in.
#274 by micah, Aug 29. 2017, 15:22
@MrBrow and A.D.V. thanks for the suggestions. I see regular CAP Grapefruit but not a sweet version. I've tried the regular CAP Grapefruit and it's not quite right. Also planning on trying Purilum Grapefruit Mojito.

Has anyone tired (CAP) Sweet Guava? or Hpno Type-TFA.
#275 by micah, Aug 29. 2017, 15:27
Thanks Emile, let me know how you like it when you get it mixed/steeped :) I have lots of suggestions within these comments on how to customize the recipe also. Playing around with what YOU personally like also is the most fun in DIY.
#276 by micah, Aug 29. 2017, 15:56
Koolada is good and adds a slight menthol refreshing taste. 0.5% might be a little to much as I personally only like adding about 0.2% so it doesn't overwhelm the mix (even though I originally recommended .5%) I'll have to change that :)
#277 by ziggy, Sep 1. 2017, 22:50
I need some lemonade to mix this. I was reading the comments and it come to my mind, have you tryed Bitter wisard or Guava or Pink guava or Sour wisard for that missing bite? I can't wait to mix this! Thank you micah!
#278 by micah, Sep 2. 2017, 14:43
Ziggy, I've tried all those flavors and it doesn't improve it. Thanks for the suggestions though.
#279 by Brett, Sep 5. 2017, 13:30
Just vaped your clone vs the Element - I wasn't really able to pick the transition point as one flavour merged into the other. Honestly Micah, You're 99% there! Without GLC the remaining 1% might be impossible. Why not focus on another challenge like the Beard 71? haha
#280 by micah, Sep 6. 2017, 16:00
Brett, I'll have to look at Beard 71 as I like most peach mixes :)
Just published a new recipe that is a variation of this one but with more of a strawberry kick if you're interested tjek.nu/r/eDXN
#281 by Brett, Sep 6. 2017, 18:01
Yeah I saw - I've already ordered the missing ingredients haha. The heavenly fruit ingredients will arrive this week. Really impressed with your Lemonade so can't wait to taste your other creations
#282 by tazzle, Sep 7. 2017, 21:52
I'm totally loving this, thank you so much for your work and for sharing with us!
#283 by micah, Sep 8. 2017, 02:58
Thanks tazzle, glad you like it :)
#284 by smok, Sep 10. 2017, 19:40
great
#285 by Tortugi, Sep 12. 2017, 11:41
WARNING. Bought the many flavors it needs, just to make this as i love pink lemonade and summer was coming. Made 100ml first batch. Could not vape it. The throat hit this recipe has after 3-5 days is massive, borderline vapable. The longer it sat, the harsher it got. I vape 10ml a day and i had the bottle for a good 4-5 months... Was literally a pain to finish it. Never tried the element version but as a standalone the taste of this was just ok after steeping. Tbh it was really nice when i mixed it but after a week that taste was gone. Would never rate it 5 stars and i really don't get where the hype came from. Of course i can't be subjective with all the throat pain being in the way... Hopefully i at least used 4 of the flavors here and made a pleasant pink lemonade with lasting flavor and it's not trying to choke me. Sorry micah but this recipe physically hurt me. P.S.: made another 10 ml to see if there was something wrong with the 1st. got the same results. P.S.2: never had an issue with any other flavors. Conclusion: Would avoid it.
#286 by Brett, Sep 12. 2017, 17:10
I feel for you Tortugi, but I don't get any noticeable throat hit - but then again I'm at zero nicotine. Some of the other threads I've read (not this recipe) identify nicotine as the culprit
#287 by micah, Sep 13. 2017, 01:35
@Tortugi, sorry the mix was bad for you. I've been making this recipe for 2 years and never had a problem. I mix @2% nicotine as I've cut back but 3% should be just as smooth. Recipe has always mellowed out with a longer steep. I recommend 5+ days but personally rotate stock every 2-3 weeks. Only think that is a bit harsh are the limes but the marshmallow and vanilla swirl usually make it very smooth and enjoyable after a 5+ day steep.
#288 by Tortugi, Sep 13. 2017, 04:45
@micah @Brett Did 3 nic (my norm) 1st batch, dropped to 2 at second. Made no difference for me, although i never tried zero nic. I experimented and narrowed down the problem to the 2 limes for sure. The flavorah lemonade has a pleasant tickle to it but nothing like the other two, especially when combined. For me steeping did the opposite. Smooth when mixed and harshness peaked at around a month, didn't notice any difference after that. No mellowing on both batches no matter what the vg was. Anyway, just giving my two cents. If you happen to know if lemon sicily is as harsh as the limes, i would appreciate it.
#289 by micah, Sep 13. 2017, 12:01
I do know that some people have an adverse reaction to the lime flavorings and avoid them. I appreciate your candor and know that taste and flavors are subjective for everyone.

For Iemon I prefer CAP Juice Lemon or INW Lemon which are a little more sweet and tart like lemonhead candy. Lemon Sicily is very good if looking for an authentic lemon flavor. Would not use to replace Flavorah Lemonade as its too biter and harsh. FW Lemonade or Real Flavors Strawberry Lemonade are good.
#290 by micah, Sep 13. 2017, 12:09
Thanks Emile, glad you like it :) I have a similar recipe that has a little more strawberry kick here tjek.nu/r/eDXN

Its currently my favorite ADV but I never stray too far from my favorite flavors :)
#291 by Remy, Oct 11. 2017, 11:10
Hi man. I would like to make this one.
Problem is the lemonade. Cant order this one in belgium.
I can order cappela pink lemonade.
Do you think thos would work? And if yes. What %
Thx man.
#292 by micah, Oct 13. 2017, 14:41
CAP Pink Lemonade is decent, I think CAP Juicy Lemon or FW Lemonade would work better. Both can be used @3%. Lemon/Lime flavors will be a bit strong at first but will mellow out after 5+ days.
#293 by junji, Oct 15. 2017, 01:13
hi micah, can i use lemonade natural fw instead of lemonade fw. your recipe looks awesome cant wait to mix this up.
tia
#294 by micah, Oct 16. 2017, 03:42
Junji, I haven't tried lemonade natural FW yet but it should be fine. Almost any lemon flavor works well around 2-3%
#295 by B'north Bloke, Oct 16. 2017, 23:05
I mixed this exact to the recipe and after a weeks steep I thought it was ok but nothing special. I just tried it again after forgeting about it for a couple of months and it's without doubt the best juice I've tasted. Light and fresh lemonade on the inhale with the strawberry and tangerine in the aftertaste. I added 1% koolada @10% and after the long steep it's barely there but just enough. Just mixed another 500ml. Great work on this recipe :)
#296 by JosefBud, Oct 17. 2017, 04:59
I had to order a couple of these flavors but I'm beyond excited to try this out when they get here in a couple of days, this recipe sounds delicious. The DIY community desperately needs more fruity/citrus recipes, I really can't ADV creamy/dessert vapes, they're just too heavy for me during the day. I'm gonna try out your other two recipes as well next time I get around to ordering more flavors. Thank you for sharing this!
#297 by micah, Oct 17. 2017, 13:46
Thanks B'North Bloke and JosefBud :) I actually get burned out on fruit vapes after a few months and switch up to creamy vapes to mix it up. Variety is the spice of life, and I am grateful to all the DIY mixers here who supply us with an endless amount of mixes to try.
#298 by Remy, Oct 19. 2017, 14:04
omg this stuff is so close to the real version!
i made it with all the ingridients and at the recomended %
and this sh!t is awsome!
im not buying the real one anymore,
thx for this recipe!
#299 by Remy, Oct 19. 2017, 14:05
5 stars
#300 by Jooshwa, Oct 19. 2017, 22:03
My last 2 batches of this have been extremely harsh on the throat. IDK what happened. Maybe my nic has gone bad...
#301 by Shivakitty, Oct 19. 2017, 23:08
Awesome! I have been looking for a citrus recipe and am definitely going to make this. I am tiring of the fruity cream desserts and this fits the bill :) I am wondering if you have tried FA Sicilian Mix (Citrus mix) and what you think of it?
#302 by micah, Oct 20. 2017, 15:30
Jooshwa, nicotine can go bad along with flavors. In the past I only bought Nicotine 100 mg strength at 60ml at a time and kept in the fridge. Now I by Nic Salts from Nicotine River which is similar but is much smoother. For flavors, I usually by in 2oz sizes unless it's a flavor I go through faster and the largest I'll buy is 4oz size. Lime flavors in particular can get nasty IMO after 4+ months if not used. My vanilla swirl was off tasting after 5 months also and I had to trash the last 20ml or so of my 4oz bottle.
#303 by micah, Oct 20. 2017, 16:16
Remy, thanks for the kind words. If Real Flavors is available in your area then I'd check out the Strawberry Lemonade flavor which has much more zing and even closer to the original in place of Sweet Strawberry @ same %. http://www.realflavors.com
#304 by micah, Oct 20. 2017, 16:23
Thanks Chele, I haven't tried FA Sicilian Mix (Citrus mix)
I usually mix with individual flavors versus using a flavor mix since I have more control of the final outcome :)
#305 by Totty, Oct 26. 2017, 19:33
Hi Micah, thanks very much for this mix. It's absolutely fantastic! It's really close. Recently I bought FlavorWest's Star Burst/Star Candy and I swear it gives the undertone flavouring to the Element Pink Lemonade. Worth a look at methinks.
#306 by Matt, Oct 30. 2017, 16:40
Great mix, thanks for sharing!!
#307 by micah, Nov 3. 2017, 19:33
Thanks Matt. Totty, will order FW Star Burst next time I order, thanks for the suggestion :) Is it this one? https://www.bullcityflavors.com/star-candy-fw/
#308 by Totty, Nov 4. 2017, 16:38
Hi Micah, yes that's the one. There's a review here I found www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/6p6ftn/fw_star_candy
I can't be certain, but it's strangely familiar if you know what I mean.
#309 by micah, Nov 5. 2017, 23:54
Thanks Totty, looks promising as reviewed as tart with lemon and orange being the dominant notes :) Will try alone first @4% to check its potency.
#310 by Cooperal1, Nov 12. 2017, 23:49
Can I sub lemonade (flavorah) for lemon sicily (fa) as I'm struggling to get hold of the lemonade (flavorah) and what percentage would you recommend. Thanks
#311 by micah, Nov 13. 2017, 14:20
Cooperal1,Lemon Sicily will work @ 2.5% It's not as good as Flavorah but is a decent sub. I prefer FW Lemonade @ 4% but that's up to you.
#312 by Cooperal1, Nov 13. 2017, 20:18
Awesome I can get flavour west so will grab some and mix this up.
Looking forward to it.
#313 by Brett, Nov 15. 2017, 18:30
just noticed that I hadn't officially rated this recipe. So here goes: It's awesome! 5-stars. Having tried 60 of the top rated recipes on this site (yes, I mixed them all), I can say that this one is the best
#314 by micah, Nov 19. 2017, 00:11
Lol, thanks Brett. There are so many great recipes here I'm happy to have contributed.
#315 by Kenbu, Nov 19. 2017, 12:46
Hi micah, you've added edit notes in the descriptions but did not update the recipe. I'm wondering what the final recipe should look like, is there any way you can perhaps make one? Or do you still recommend what's listed?
#316 by Kenbu, Nov 19. 2017, 12:48
I don't have any flavors and planning to order some for this recipe because it looks good to me, just a little confused with all the changes in the notes and the posted recipe. Thanks for sharing.
#317 by Kenbu, Nov 19. 2017, 12:53
Comparing the changes, it looks like it's turned into Fresh Strawberry Lemonade almost.. I guess I can just try to mix that instead
#318 by micah, Nov 19. 2017, 14:36
Kenbu, the recipe as posted is final for now but I order new flavors monthly to try to get it closet to the original. Lemonade/lime are the dominant flavors with a hint of strawberry and vanilla. Personally I like my recipe vs the original but being labeled a "clone" I'm always trying to get it closer.

Edits are there to document any changes. I prefer RF Strawberry Lemonade vs Flv Lemonade but it's only available in North America currently and will give the recipe a more doninate strawberry taste which is why I didn't change the recipe.

I think you will be happy with the recipe as it is.
#319 by DAllen, Nov 30. 2017, 11:19
Great vape. Works well for me with all my coil builds so a welcome addition to my ADV list. Thank you :-)
#320 by micah, Nov 30. 2017, 18:52
Thanks DAllen, glad you like it. It's fairly easy to experiment with other fruit and/or bakery flavors to your liking as well.
#321 by Trav the Fitter , Dec 2. 2017, 03:12
Holy shit, that was a lot of comments...
Has anyone tried vape wizard on this mix?
Curious if it would enhance the overall experience.
#322 by Debbiej, Dec 6. 2017, 01:55
Micah.... saw where you use nic salt..... was thinking about it, but don’t know enough. Does it have a hint of sodium? Might b a dumb question
#323 by micah, Dec 6. 2017, 14:11
Debbiej, it's called Nicotine Salt due to the crystallization of the end product (disolved in pg or vg), but has nothing to do with sodium or salt you would put on food. I've only used it for a few months but have been very happy with the smooth vape at low wattage (40w or less) and dual SS 28/36 Clapton wire @ 2mm wrapped 8 times with ohms @ 0.3.

You can learn more here http://vaping411.com/nicotine-salts/

I've only ordered it from Nicotine River.

#325 by Siddharth, Dec 14. 2017, 16:48
@micah :: I really love the flavour. Thank you very much for posting this recipe. I have used the same ingredients as mentioned in the recipe...but I am getting a slightly strong throat hit which leads to a bit of coughing on every vape. Is there any specific ingredient I can reduce to adjust the itchiness \ throat hit?
If I can solve this problem...this will become one of my all time favourite recipes!!! Looking forward to hearing from you...
#326 by Siddharth, Dec 14. 2017, 16:54
@micah :: BTW...its not an issue with the nic...have made tons of other juices...and those were fine. Just in case you were wondering...
#327 by micah, Dec 14. 2017, 22:06
Siddharth, usually it's the lime flavors that give people issues. Try eliminating the key lime which for me is the stronger hit. If that doesn't do it reduce the CP Lime to 1%. The strawberry, lemonade, and other flavors shouldn't give that much of a throat hit.
#328 by kansas_jesse, Dec 15. 2017, 01:01
I'm pretty picky about my e liquid. I've been diying for about 10 months now. So far I have only found 3 recipes that I was excited about. Some were good, many were OK and most were shit. This one is my favorite to date. Very very good. Thank you for sharing.
#329 by kansas_jesse, Dec 15. 2017, 01:02
PS, I subbed out the sweet strawberry for inw shisha strawberry.
#330 by Jooshwa, Dec 15. 2017, 22:52
I will say that Purilum Jelly candy does make this recipe really good, but it really mutes the flavors after a couple of weeks. I'll stick with Marshmallow for future mixing of this because it is still very good, and doesn't mute.
#331 by micah, Dec 16. 2017, 00:40
Thanks Jesse, strawberry ripe is a good replacement also
#332 by micah, Dec 16. 2017, 00:42
Jooshwa, I rarely have a batch last more than 2 weeks but good to know :)
#333 by tintino, Dec 18. 2017, 03:27
This is probably the best recipe on this site! I tried all the top rated ones (sort by rating).. Thanks for sharing. It's good as a shake and vape and even better after 3-4 days
#334 by Ryno2424, Dec 29. 2017, 18:55
How do you think Tanger (Mandarin) (FA) would work instead of CAP Sweet tangerine?
#335 by micah, Dec 30. 2017, 05:13
Just about any orange flavor can substitute just fine.
#336 by Siddharth, Jan 9. 2018, 19:41
@micah :: Hey...referring your suggestion on 15-Dec...i tried eliminating the Key Lime and reducing the %age of CP Lime to 1%...but still the throat remained. Separately...I tried making strawberry lemonade using Strawberry Ripe (TFA) and Sweet Strawberry (Capella) with Flavorah Lemonade...and there was still the throat hit and itching. I guess its got to do with the Lemonade itself. Can you suggest an alternate brand of lemonade which would not have the itchiness issue?
#337 by micah, Jan 9. 2018, 21:02
Flavorah Lemonade is stronger than most but if using an alternative I'd try the following. If in the USA Purilum Lemonade is the best sub I've found and it's sold here cheap. https://www.nicotineriver.com/products/purilum-lemonade

Next best sub is FW Lemonade which I sub at 4% vs 3% for Flavorah.

Sorry you're having throat hit issues, I make this weekly for over a year and it's always been smooth for me. I only buy nicotine and VG (and most flavors) from Nicotine River as they have always had great quality.

The sweeteners of this vape causes coils to get clogged quickly which could be causing the throat hit. I remove my cotton daily and burn off the excess gunk and fully replace my Clapton Wire - 28ss/36ss every 3-4 days depending on how it holds up. Wire can make a difference in taste/throat hit also. Not sure what you use but I found that this wire works best for me around 30-40 watts or 400-450 degrees if TC.. it works in wattage mode or TC. If you use it, don't exceed 40 watts since the thin wire will break if too hot. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Clapton-Wire-28ss-36ss-28-SS-316L-Core-36-SS-316L-Wrap-25/272426212261?
#338 by Debbiej, Jan 10. 2018, 21:53
I made this. It’s really good. I didn’t have key lime. Left it out. Used cap lemon lime. Never tried original but I DO get that fuzzy feeling when vaped. Great recipe! Super refreshing
#339 by Debbiej, Jan 10. 2018, 21:56
Fizzy not fuzzy, a fizz in the vape. Not harsh throat hit, but I kinda like to feel it when I vape. I tried it 2 days after mixing. I’ve noticed fruits have a tendency to fade with steep.
#340 by Debbiej, Jan 10. 2018, 21:57
Trying to rate. Lol 5 star for sure
#341 by micah, Jan 10. 2018, 23:41
Debbie, the fruits will fade for sure. Fruit flavors will be too strong for most people the first 4 days. I usually wait at least 5 days before vaping so it can mellow out a bit. The % used for all flavors are designed to be good after the steep. Not a fan of Cap lemon lime personally but it's a small enough % in the mix so just about any fruit replacement would work.

Thanks for rating and leaving a comment :)
#342 by Kenbu, Jan 11. 2018, 00:17
@micah, referring to FLV lemonade sub in your recent comment, would be good to update it in your main description. I'm using FW as mentioned in the description but wish I'd known Purilum lemonade was a better sub. Might help others out. Great recipe, thanks for sharing.
#343 by micah, Jan 11. 2018, 20:45
Will do Kenbu, Purilum just came out with Lemonade flavor a few months ago and I just got around to ordering it and trying last month :) It's a great sub IMHO for Flavorah as I can buy 2oz (about 60ml) of it for less than what Flavorah charges for 15ml :| The flavor is not exact as Flavorah, but the difference is barely noticable and much less than FW.
#344 by Kenbu, Jan 12. 2018, 00:29
Yeah. I would settle for Purilum just because it's more affordable. Flavorah is a tad too expensive for my liking. Will have to get some Purilum lemonade on the next sale. Thanks for being active and answering questions for everyone till this day. I find that a lot of people tend to disappear from their recipes after a period of time.
#345 by micah, Jan 12. 2018, 03:43
The Purilim Lemonade tatstes more like Country Time Lemonade vs "fresh" like Flavorah but I personally love the taste of Country Time Lemonade so I was happy. I'm not going anywhere and always try to help :)
#346 by NoSkoal, Jan 31. 2018, 22:22
So good Micah, fist flavor to get me off wintergreen (dipper not a smoker). 5 star's sir, thank you.
#347 by Robbhimself, Feb 1. 2018, 12:11
is this right according to your notes?
https://i.imgur.com/RBcbsk3.png

im not sure if i should make the above or your fresh strawberry lemonade
#348 by micah, Feb 1. 2018, 17:06
Thanks NoSkoal, I switch to menthol vapes when I get tired of fruit vapes lol
#349 by micah, Feb 1. 2018, 17:11
Rob, the notes are just variations on the original that I have tried but will stray from the clone. You have a good mixture of flavors from both recipes and it should taste great.

Looked at the flavor breakdowns and % and all look good except I'm not sure what ws-23 flavor is.
I'd give it about a week to steep leaving the cap on but giving it a decent shake each day. You might want to consider making a 30ml batch vs a 10ml batch due to some of small ml amounts can be difficult without a scale.
#350 by Jooshwa, Feb 1. 2018, 19:51
Hey Micah, can you post the recipe as you are currently making it?
#351 by Robbhimself, Feb 2. 2018, 04:45
ws-23 is a coolant, much cleaner better sensation than koolada and virtually no flavor change
#352 by micah, Feb 3. 2018, 19:21
Jooshwa, mostly making it this way e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1832391/Fresh%20Strawberry%20Lemonade%20%28My%20ADV%29

I experiment monthly with new flavors so it's always changing for me personally. I still make the basic recipe at least once a month. I'd recommend doing the same to find what you personally prefer. Start with small % changes and document everything. Recognize dominant flavors and learn what the minimum % is for each flavor. DIY recipes are IMO just a stepping stone to finding what each person really likes. When experimenting make single 20-30 ml batches, lable, take notes, and see how steep time effects the mix. Note if it mellows out, flavors fade, flavors increase, or if a flavor dominates. It costs little to experiment and in the end you will become a better mixer and learn what mixes are best to your own personal tatstes :)
#353 by icantsurf, Feb 4. 2018, 10:42
I bought the flavors for this for my first every DIY purchase along with 1 other recipe on here. I was really disappointed when I mixed and tried it at how much vanilla I tasted. Let it sit 3 or 4 days and gave it another try and I'm really digging it. Thanks for the great recipe.
#354 by micah, Feb 4. 2018, 18:26
Icantsurf, the vanilla and marshmallow are there to reduce the harshness of the fruit flavors (mostly lime) and need a good 5+ days to steep. Limes will be a bit overpowering first couple of days until they fade. Vanilla should be just a hint after a week. Glad you like it :)
#355 by icantsurf, Feb 5. 2018, 01:42
Ok, thanks micah. Still really new to this so I'm not sure what I'm tasting all the time.
#356 by HarryCarter1995, Feb 6. 2018, 16:44
Mixed up 50ml of this yesterday... accidentally ordered Lime Tahity Distilled and not Cold Pressed :(. Tried it after mixing had a bit of a funny taste on the exhale. Going to give it a few more days and see what’s it’s like!
#357 by LordPigeon, Feb 7. 2018, 21:51
Could the key lime from TFA be substituted for Flavour Wests key Lime?
#358 by micah, Feb 8. 2018, 13:14
HarrryCarter, lime distilled is still good, just more tame. Lime Cold pressed has more punch or tartness.

LordPigeon, FW Key Lime is similar enough you shouldn't notice a difference.
#359 by icantsurf, Feb 9. 2018, 06:49
Just wanted to update, I've let this sit for around 8 or 9 days now. All the harshness that was still around is pretty much gone and it tastes closer to the real thing. Might just be my personal preference that it needed to steep longer.
#360 by Tara, Feb 11. 2018, 19:14
Amazing juice, made 200ml will be a go to mix
#361 by micah, Feb 11. 2018, 19:38
Glad you like it Tara :)
#362 by Pagh, Feb 11. 2018, 23:56
Really nice! I subbed VTA Lemonade for the FLV at just 1.5 %, and it is a wonderfully fresh and zingy vape. Good job.
#363 by micah, Feb 12. 2018, 20:55
I haven't tried Vape Train Australia since I'm in the USA but most lemon flavors are easily substituted without too much of a difference.

Subs I use in in place of FLV Lemonade in best to least order below:
Purilum Lemonade
FW Lemonade
CAP Juicy Lemon
FlavourArt Lemon Sicily

Glad you like it Pagh :)
#364 by Pagh, Feb 12. 2018, 22:34
Well if you can get your hands on it, you should try it. It really is a tasty (and potent) flavour :-) Chefsflavours ship to the US for around $6 as far as I know, so you could consider ordering from them.
#365 by micah, Feb 14. 2018, 23:50
Cool, any other VTA flavors that are must have?
#366 by Krang, Feb 17. 2018, 01:49
This is an amazing recipe, almost identical to the Elements version, if not a bit better! I bought a lot of these flavours specifically to mix this, was not disappointed. Thanks for your hard work, micah.
#367 by jayquik03, Feb 17. 2018, 14:11
I need a replacement for key lime TPA the website i use doesn't sell it sadly. Any ideas :(
#368 by micah, Feb 19. 2018, 18:32
Thanks Krang, I prefer my version slightly more too :) It's an easy recipe to experiment with other fruit, creams, and bakery flavors to personalize it even more.
#369 by micah, Feb 19. 2018, 18:38
Jayquik03, TPA Key Lime really doesn't have a decent substitute, but it's such a small part of the over all mix you won't miss it much. I'd make it without Key Lime until you can find another vendor. Curious where you order from and where you're shipping it to.
#370 by Samoya, Feb 20. 2018, 09:13
Very enjoyable vape fresh and crisp
Was sent pink lemonade tfa incorrectly and went ahead and used it
Came out nicely but next batch will be exactly as per the recipe
Thanks for sharing
#371 by jayquik03, Mar 4. 2018, 15:13
@micah I get my flavors from ecigexpress. i'm shocked they didn't have keylime from TPA i ended up getting florida Key lime from FA. Big mistake makes the whole batch taste like keylime pie. Next batch i'll try without key lime. But I think I have like 5 flavors I can't get from ecigexpress i'm going to check bullcity I just didn't want to order 1 flavor.
#372 by micah, Mar 4. 2018, 17:49
FA Key lime isn't that bad as a replacement. Did you wait 5+ days for it to steep? Limes should fade quite a bit then, recipe isn't designed for shake n vape. Excluding Key Lime is fine also as it's mostly there to add a little citrus kick.
#373 by Pagh, Mar 5. 2018, 16:18
Consider ordering from Chefs Flavours in the UK then. Shipping is like $5 to the US and takes little more than a week.
#374 by micah, Mar 5. 2018, 16:35
Have you considered Nicotine River. They are out of California and prices are hard to beat. If you place an order of $50+ then shipping is free also :)
#375 by Intoxicated, Mar 21. 2018, 17:01
Have you used LA Lemonade in place of flavorah?
#376 by micah, Mar 21. 2018, 18:10
Intoxicated, yes LA Lemonade is great as well and a good replacement if you have it. Still prefer Purilum Lemonade, FW Lemonade, or CAP Juicy Lemonade as a sub personally, but go with what you like.
#377 by BlackHand, Mar 21. 2018, 23:44
Hi micah, thanks for sharing this AMAZING Recipe, can i sub CAP Super Sweet for TPA Sweetener? Same percentage?
#378 by unknown123324324, Mar 22. 2018, 01:53
@micah Would CAP Jelly candy be okay over the other brand you mentioned?
#379 by humanoed, Mar 30. 2018, 02:34
@BlackHand TPA sweetener is 3-4 times less powerful than cap ss, so you will need 3-4% of it for substitution of 1% ss.
#380 by Tyler Smith, Mar 31. 2018, 01:41
jayquik03, Gremlindiy has it. I use them or bullcityflavors.
#381 by Whooptidooh, Apr 21. 2018, 16:59
I don’t have lime tahity, but I do have tpa key lime. Will that work? And if so, at what %?
#382 by micah, Apr 23. 2018, 15:27
Key lime is also in the recipe and I wouldn't add more than the 1.5% as it would throw it off. You can omit the Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA) and it will still taste great, you just lose a little of the citrus tartness if you don't include it. I'd recommend getting some when you can if you like lime flavor, it's one of the best lime flavors currently out there.
#383 by Hasan, May 16. 2018, 23:41
Can you make a final recipe please?
#384 by Hasan, May 29. 2018, 07:54
I made the recipe exactly the same and it tastes harsh
#385 by micah, May 29. 2018, 13:55
Hansan, the current recipe is the "final" however I've listed minor changes that can be made throughout the comments and in the edits. I didn't change the actual recipe because many of the minor changes involve vendors that aren't sold world wide.

If the recipe tastes harsh that is usually because of the lime/lemonade flavors that take 5+ days to steep. If after 5+ days of steeping it still tastes harsh then I'd reduce the lime flavors by 0.50-1%. The marshmallow and Vanilla Swirl should smooth everything out once it's steeped and the limes fad slightly.
#386 by NoToRiOuS, May 29. 2018, 22:41
@micah
Any chance the flavorah lemonade be substituted with real flavour lemonade (not strawberry lemonade)?
#387 by micah, May 30. 2018, 14:07
NoToRiOuS, Flavorah Lemonade can be substituted with Real Flavors Lemonade however I think Flavor West Lemonade Natural is a better sub. Capella Juicy Lemon & FlavourArt Lemon Sicily are good subs as well but will require a little more sweetener unless you are looking for more tartness.
#388 by leiretxu, Jul 4. 2018, 12:58
Could I use TPA Marshmallow instead of FA? I have everything else, but not FA Marshmallow
#389 by micah, Jul 5. 2018, 21:58
TPA Marshmallow is a fine sub. @ 1% it is only there to mellow out some of the harshness of the limes and add a little more sweetness.
#390 by Pootiesmom, Jul 10. 2018, 04:03
FANFREAKINGTASTIC! I mixed this yesterday and I am vaping the hell out of it right now! Thanks for sharing!
#391 by micah, Jul 11. 2018, 14:58
Thanks Pootiesmom, it's best around the 5th day or later to give the juice time to steep. Glad you like it :)
#392 by Howard Hughes, Jul 11. 2018, 16:50
I really liked this one. Thanks for sharing it!
#393 by Devon, Jul 12. 2018, 11:29
Micah, dude this is one good vape. Many thanks friend, this is by far my fave ADV, been using this for about a year now and today i just finished making my 3rd litre and i cant get enough of the stuff.

I would definatly recommend trying this recipe.
#394 by micah, Jul 12. 2018, 21:02
Thanks Howard and Devon, I'm really thankful to everyone who tries this and am glad you like it :)
#395 by Smoke, Jul 23. 2018, 20:14
Hey man make the finish recipe plz, corect numbers?!?
#396 by micah, Jul 27. 2018, 14:13
Smoke, just because I list a lot of alternatives to either substitute or try other flavors doesn't mean the recipe isn't complete with the correct % per flavor. Try it exactly as written and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Then if you want, try slightly altering it to your more personal tastes.
#397 by Gamabear, Jul 30. 2018, 11:09
This sounds so good but I am allergic to Strawberries. Any thoughts on how it would be without the sweet strawberry?
#398 by micah, Jul 30. 2018, 12:49
Gamabear, if you don't have cross-sensitivity, TFA Blackberry is the closest I've tried @ 2% that is a good sub.
#399 by Alexandra, Aug 7. 2018, 14:45
I've mixed this a few times now and i absolutely love it! I've had to substitute the lemonade for lemon sicilly and sweet tangerine with FW Real Tangerine but it is still really close to the original just not as sweet.
#400 by micah, Aug 7. 2018, 15:40
Thanks Alexandra, you could increase the CAP Super Sweet to 1.5 to 2% if you are missing that sweetness. Keep in mind additional sweetener will clog your coils faster with gunk that needs to be burned off and/or replacing the wire. Not too big of a deal if you make your own coils & cotton but can be expensive if you buy the coils premade.

Holy Crap! Wow! I have made a ton of recipes in the past few months and some are in your face with flavor and others are ho hum with a hint of flavor. I mixed this in mid July and have had it in the box and tried it today for the first time. Just got the Drop RDA and made up a new coil and wicked it for the first time to try this juice. Talk about flavor! First hit and it made my chest tighten, had to gasp! This is some potent stuff! I think I will have to dilute this down a bit or try it in an old tank or something. After several hits, i kinda got used to it but its way to overloaded for my taste buds! I am really shocked, I read through all of the comments and notes and was thinking this was something i would enjoy but I just can not vape it! I am bummed!
#402 by micah, Aug 27. 2018, 15:32
atssec97, sorry it's a too strong for you. With total flavor at 13.5% it's strong, but no more than most of my recipes and a lot less than most of the recipes on this site. After a month of steeping it actually should be fairly mellow as the lime flavors would have lost their "punch" (which takes about a week). If you ever tasted the original it has even more of a flavor hit than mine.

Cutting it by adding around 20% of VG and giving it a day or two to steep again should help cut down the flavor. I also only vape this mix around 30-35 watts with a 2mm dual coil (or TC 50 watts @ 420 temp or less) Vaping at higher temps can be a bit too intense IMO with most fruit flavored mixes.

Usually I make 120ml a week and steep for 2 weeks and rotate out stock. I have vaped it after a few months and it will change slightly but usually not stronger. A bad flavor or nicotine can ruin a mix over time, but even if you had a that issue usually you wouldn't see it after only a month or so of steeping.
#403 by micah, Aug 27. 2018, 16:16
Forgot to add I use Clapton Wire - 28ss/36ss - 28 SS 316L Core / 36 SS 316L from Lighting Vapes with 7 wraps 2mm @ 0.4 ohm when I vape.

Wattage and/or temp could vary wildly depending on the type of coil and size you use and will affect flavor intensity/enjoyment a lot.

This receipt is best enjoyed at lower temps IMO and is not for cloud chucking at high temps.
#404 by atssec97, Aug 31. 2018, 03:46
@micah I appreciate your help! I had a couple other folks try it and they had similar experience with it as I did. I may have to mix a small batch just to make sure I didn't add too much of one or another ingredients! Like I said based on all the comments and praises i was looking forward to vaping your recipe. Now I was trying this around 80 watts on a Drop RDA with dual fused claptons thats reading .39 Ohms. Kinda got scared and have not revisited it.
#405 by strat, Aug 31. 2018, 14:44
micah, what kinda of atty are you using? I mixed this up a year of so ago, it's great but I tired of fruits and went to ry4s and custards and such. do you mix anything like that? have you got burned out of this recipe? it is good.
#406 by micah, Aug 31. 2018, 15:58
strat, I use the Griffin 25 Plus RTA when on the go which after two years is still my personal favorite having tried over 8 different RTAs. Great air flow, doesn't leak if properly wicked, and has tons of flavor. At home I prefer the Drop Solo By Digiflavor which is one of the best drippers I've used. Second favorite is the Vandy Vape Bonza RDA. Just about any RDA or RTA with good posts and airflow and I'm happy.

I do occasionally get burned out on this recipe, but I vape it 80% of the time so it's still my favorite. I mix it slightly different when I get burned out.

For different fruit flavors I usually use the flavors below:
Real Flavors Super Concentrate Pink Candy Burst Type
Real Flavors Super Concentrate Strawberry Lemonade
Flavorah Raspberry
Capella Golden Pineapple
Inawera Shisha Pineapple
Nicotine River Golden Eye
Flavor Apprentice Dragon Fruit
FlavourArt Peach
Inawera Cactus (use very sparingly)

For cream or other similar types of flavors I'll use:

FlavourArt Meringue
FlavourArt Bavarian Cream
FlavourArt Vienna Cream
Flavor Apprentice Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Flavor Apprentice Whipped Cream
Capella Vanilla Custard V1
FlavourArt Zeppola

Not all the varieties I use but the ones I come back to most often.

I'll usually swap out or add the above fruit flavors for other fruit flavors or the cream type flavors for the Vanilla Swirl or Cotton Candy to mix it up.

I love experimenting and find this recipe fairly easy to swap out with other "similar" types of flavors to give it a whole new taste.

Key is identifying the dominate flavors and mixing sparingly. e.g., Bavarian Cream, Vienna Cream, Zeppola, Golden Eye, Raspberry & Cactus are very dominate flavors so I'll only use around 0.2 to 0.5% as too much can ruin a recipe.

I've tried a few ry4s and custards recipes, but they aren't my favorite and are usually too rich for me to vape. I haven't really delved into trying to create my own beside using Capella Vanilla Custard V1

I have a ton of personal recipes that use a lot of the flavors mentioned above, but haven't shared as they are all very similar to this recipe with minor changes.

Everyone has their own personal tastes and DIY mixing using recipes is a good start, but I also feel everyone should personalize to their own liking to get the best results.

Variety is the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor.
#407 by DDrama, Sep 4. 2018, 00:33
Ive been DIY mixing for years and I mean gallons per month... And I must say this recipe right here inspired me to try a pink lemonade again after ive tried many on here that were just "ok"...... but this one really nailed a great ADV!!!

I havnt tried this exact recipe but what I made is pretty close and I can tell right after shake and vaping its a real all day vape winner!

Perfect balance of citrus, tart, sweet, and cream!

Heres the substitutes I used incase anyone else is missing things.

I didnt have the key lime or lemonade from Flv, but had a ton of other lemon flavors.
I used equal parts...
Lemon meringue pie from CAP
Lemonade from LA
Lemon Sicily
And CAP juicy lemon for my base lemonade flavor....
I dont use sucralose so doubled on the marshmallow.
I subbed sweet tangerine for FA mandarin
Everything else was the same and then added a small amount of sweet cream at the end.

Really really great stuff! Thanks for the inspiration!
#408 by micah, Sep 4. 2018, 16:47
Thanks DDrama, all great substitutes and I'm glad you were able to personalize it and mix it up :D Lemonade from LA and CAP Juicy Lemon are my go to for the Flv sub. FW Lemonade is decent as well. I still prefer Flv but get tired of paying $29+ for 4 OZ. LorAnn Lemonade is almost half the price for the same 4 ounces.

Without the lime it's pretty close to a shake and vape or warm bath for a few hours and ready to go.

I don't remember trying Lemon Meringue Pie (CAP) and will have to order that next as it sounds delicious.
#409 by Nomorebutts, Sep 14. 2018, 03:31
Wondering if I can sub out the CAP supersweet for Stevia. I've been trying to stay away from EM. Has anyone tries it without the supersweet or with stevia?
#410 by Nomorebutts, Sep 14. 2018, 03:32
I also only have TPA's marshmallow
#411 by micah, Sep 14. 2018, 23:24
I've tried a Stevia in the past, about 20 drops per 30ml and it does work but to me it had a funny after taste. TPA Marshmallow is a good sub.
#412 by Nomorebutts, Sep 15. 2018, 00:10
TPA marshmallow at the same % as FA's? I mixed up a 10ml tester with TPA's at 1% and used 1% of my diluted 5% Stevia in VG and it came out pretty damn good, I've never had elements pink lemonade so idk how close it is but it's a pretty damn tasty recipe. Definitely going into my rotation
#413 by micah, Sep 16. 2018, 22:50
I use both at 1%. Been adding 2% of Real Flavors Super Concentrate Pink Candy Burst flavor also for a slight more strawberry flavor to this mix which is good as well. Most fruit flavors blend well with this mix. Glad you like it :)
#414 by DemonizeD, Sep 17. 2018, 13:52
You wrote a lot of complicated stuff. Is the original recipe still valid?
#415 by arno, Sep 19. 2018, 17:26
Is this recipe above your final recipe,or is it everytime changing?
#416 by micah, Sep 19. 2018, 21:37
It's a clone recipe so the original never changes unless it improves on the clone. I constantly experiment and highly recommend everyone experiment with recipes. I have only edited the original a few times in the last 19 months and I documented each change. I last edited it in Jan 2018. There are a few minor flavors that could get it even closer but I don't change flavors because some are hard to get outside of North America.

I could create a dozen more recipes that were slightly similar, but prefer to let people experiment on their own to personalize it to their own flavor preference. I've offered a ton of suggestions on how to do that within the comments. It's pretty hard to make a bad recipe using this as a base and not over doing it.
#417 by FrankV, Oct 8. 2018, 01:23
If I wanted to sub for LA Lemonade as I don’t have FLV lemonade, what percentage should I mix it at?
#418 by micah, Oct 8. 2018, 22:47
3% is fine for LA lemonade. FLV is slightly stronger but once it steeps you won't really notice much of a difference.

Subs I use in in place of FLV Lemonade in best to least order below:
Purilum Lemonade
FW Lemonade
CAP Juicy Lemon
FlavourArt Lemon Sicily
#419 by FrankV, Oct 8. 2018, 23:05
Thank you! I just mixed this yesterday and kept the same percentage but substituted for LA Lemonade. I got a ton of it as I like it in my pink lemonade recipes. Everything else I had and followed it by the T. Smelled great after a shake! Will let you know how it is after 5 day steep. Thanks for sharing this!
#420 by FrankV, Oct 8. 2018, 23:07
Are the ones you listed from best to least in your opinion better then LA Lemonade as a substitute?
#421 by micah, Oct 9. 2018, 13:28
Yes, as my personal preference for this recipe. LA Lemonade is a fine sub as well which I've also tried, just not my go-to for lemon flavoring. As I've mentioned many times tastes are subjective and we all have our favorites :) Depending on the recipe I like FA Lemon Sicily the most sometimes because I'm looking for a more tart "realistic" lemon flavor. The flavors I listed in order for this recipe is because I'm looking for a slightly sweeter lemonade taste.
#422 by FrankV, Oct 11. 2018, 14:37
Oh wow! After a 5 day steep following the recipe but substituting with LA Lemonade, this juice is awesome!! Very smooth pink lemonade with very good flavor. Not very tart but very refreshing. Love this! Thank you for sharing this! I will definitely be making a 120ml of this next!
#423 by micah, Oct 11. 2018, 15:34
Glad you like it Frank :)
#424 by FrankV, Oct 11. 2018, 16:05
Only thing I will say is the flavor is a bit heavy on the lime portion some and it doesn’t have much of that lemon sourness to it. I can taste the lemonade in it for sure but it’s just a bit weak in that flavor for me. Not sure if it needs to be steeped a bit longer, or if this is how the flavor was meant to be, but I may increase the lemonade up to 4% on my next trial run or order the lemonade flavoring you listed in your recipe. I do like the overall flavor and the vanilla swirl really rounds everything (adds a nice body to it). On the inhale I get a slight bit of lemonade with a blast of lime and a faint strawberry. On the exhale I get a creamy, fulfilling, lime to it almost like key lime pie without any breading from the crust just the filling.

I’m wondering if the marshmallow in this is muting the sharpness to some of the sour fruit flavors in this. I think before I make a big batch of it, I’m going to order the lemonade you listed on the recipe and see how it was meant to be in your mix. Very smooth vape though that tastes great! Thank you!
#425 by kevin_215, Oct 12. 2018, 12:24
Mixed exactly as the recipe, it's a nicely balanced lemonade vape, the individual ingredients combine well. It wasn't anywhere near ready at 5 days, give it a 2 week steep to enjoy the full flavour. I would not change anything in the recipe, thanks for posting this I've added it to my list of ADV's. I can't comment on how close it is to Element's, but it's a great vape in it's own right.
#426 by micah, Oct 12. 2018, 22:23
Frank, lime flavor will fade with a longer steep. I usually mix this and vape in a two week rotation like Kevin mentioned above, however IMO 5 days is long enough if you're impatient. Flavorah Lemonade is stronger and usually an extra % is required from other vendors. The marshmallow & vanilla is designed to help mellow out some of the harshness of the fruit flavors along with adding a little more body to the vape. I also enjoy swapping those out for 2% of FA Bavarian Cream when I get tired of the other flavors.

Real Flavors Super Concentrate Pink Candy Burst Type & Purilum Fizzy Strawberry flavors are fun to try also but do require a longer steep time (2-3 weeks) to really enjoy.

It's an easy recipe to experiment with if you don't go too crazy :)
#427 by Tiner361, Nov 5. 2018, 16:55
Mixed this on 9/13. After a 2.5 steep this is awesome man. Blowing through the 60ml I mixed. Followed recipe 1:1.

I do have to change my cotton once a day but I typically do that anyway.

Flavor is great! Has become one of my ADV.
#428 by Tiner361, Nov 5. 2018, 16:56
2.5 month*
#429 by micah, Nov 6. 2018, 00:23
Thanks Tiner361, with all the sweet flavors along with 1% of Super Sweet this recipe is a huge coil cloger. I change my cotton daily as well and coils every 4-5 days. If you don't make your own coils that could get expensive. Glad you like it :)
#430 by Tiner361, Nov 6. 2018, 03:32
Oh no complaints here. Cottons cheap! This juices quality is not though! Again thanks for the recipe it’s awesome!
#431 by beeker, Nov 8. 2018, 01:02
Micah, I adore this recipe. Most of the recipes I try on here I tire of after 30 ml, but I’ve been through several hundred ml of thisand I keep coming back to it. I find the tartness fades a bit after several months, but a drop or two of TFA Sour returns the citrus kick to the forefront. Anyway, thanks for the perfectly balanced pink lemonade vape!
#432 by micah, Nov 8. 2018, 03:47
Thanks so much beeker! I vape 120ml a week and rotate stock every 3 weeks so it's still pretty tart by the time I finish it. The limes are the main ingredients that make it tart and tend to fade after a few weeks. Glad TFA Sour brings it back and am happy you like it :)
#433 by Mikos, Nov 12. 2018, 17:15
I appreciate all the effort you've put into this! I love this juice and have tried to replicate it using your current recipe (and all the current exact flavors), but...my byproduct seems to taste more like orange creamsicle than pink lemonade. Initially I did squeeze too much tangerine in due to a slipped finger, but I made an equivalent-sized second batch and cut down the tangerine in that one, and mixed the two batches together.

Is this a subjective taste thing (though the original PL definitely tasted like PL to me) or a steeping issue (I'm on Day 2 with the juice: I'm impatient, lol)? Any recommendations?
#434 by micah, Nov 12. 2018, 17:42
Mikos, my clone will have a slight more orange/lime flavor than the original but those flavors will be much less prominent with a proper steep. 5 days is the minimum and it's best IMO around the 2nd or 3rd week. 2 days in it's going to be too bitter since the fruits haven't had enough time to fade and mix yet. You can try it at day 5 and see if it's decent and if not just wait another week. At the end of the steep no flavor should be that prominent and it should taste more like regular PL.
#435 by Mikos, Nov 13. 2018, 08:35
Thanks for the info. Another thing I considered was the fact that I'm measuring flavors using drops rather than mls. All of my flavor bottles/tips via Wizard Labs seems to be the same size, but the Flavorah Lemonade bottle has this odd dropper that looks and works - unless I'm using it wrong - like a nasal spray bottle.

I've considered that maybe I haven't put enough lemonade flavoring in it as well (in the chance it's putting out less liquid per drop), but I'll take your advice and mix up a batch for steeping.
#436 by micah, Nov 13. 2018, 17:00
Drops are not always accurate when compared to ml since the size of the drop can vary from bottle to bottle and the "default" 35 drops per ml is usually slightly less IME. If you have a liquid syringe you can take out the plunger, put your finger on the bottom and drop flavor into the syringe until you reach the desired amount and then drop that into your bottle.

You can also use a gram scale which is the most accurate, and runs around $10-$20 depending on the quality. You can change from drops to grams in your preferences. e-liquid-recipes.com/user/update

Once fully steeped the 3% Flavorah Lemonade flavor should be more noticeable while the Lime/Tangerine/Strawberry flavors should fade a bit and be background note. The Marshmallow and Vanilla Swirl act to mellow out some of the harness of the Lime/Tangerine flavors as well to slightly mellow out the tartness and provide a more smooth vape.
#437 by Z34josh, Nov 21. 2018, 04:48
Idk what’s going but after a week I’m getting too much th and I only substitute for strawberry ripe I know it not my Nic or vg bec I don’t have that issue with my other juices
#438 by micah, Nov 21. 2018, 18:29
What is too much th?
#439 by Z34josh, Nov 22. 2018, 01:57
Throat hit
#440 by micah, Nov 22. 2018, 15:20
Interesting, the marshmallow and vanilla swirl usually mellow out the harshness of the limes once steeped. The Key Lime in particular is fairly harsh if not steeped fully. You can cut the limes % in half without too much change in flavor and that should reduce a lot of the throat hit it it's too hard. All the strawberries don't give me a throat hit so substituting that shouldn't matter. With so many sweet flavors and super sweet I do need to change my cotton daily with this recipe as the coils clog quickly, I assume you change frequently as well. Otherwise you would get a nasty throat hit after a day or two.
#441 by micah, Nov 22. 2018, 15:31
Forgot to add that small wire with 7-8 wraps works best for me for this recipe. I use SS 28/38 Clapton dual coils from Lighting Vaoes with an ohm at .45 and vape around 30-35 watts or at 160 Celsius in TC mode. Vaping on larger wire doesn't give me as much flavor for fruit recipes. I like larger wire for custard and other bakery recipes though.
#442 by Z34josh, Nov 30. 2018, 05:52
Thank you!!!! I only have large coils and vape between 70-90 watts. Just made a new batch cut the limes in half and bumped up the lemonade by 1% and it’s super smooth now time to let it sit and see how much better it gets. It’s so good right now!!!
#443 by micah, Nov 30. 2018, 23:51
Vaping at that wattage I assume your coils are around .05 to .08 ohms which is the only time I vape that high and usually only with a dripper. A 25 ft roll of the smaller wire runs around $8 and is worth trying out. If it's still not smooth enough .5% of TFA Bavarian Cream really helps also without affecting the flavor too much.
#444 by Z34josh, Dec 1. 2018, 02:20
I only drip I don’t own a tank lol Right now at .2ohms at 70 if I go any lower I have a long ramp up time but so far adjusting the lime did the trick and it’s so good thank you very much
#445 by Zombiewerkz, Dec 16. 2018, 20:10
Great Recipe! It has become my ADV also. Thank you very much.
#446 by micah, Dec 17. 2018, 03:16
Zombiewerkz, thank you so much and I'm happy you enjoy it as much as I do :) You can experiment with subbing or adding most fruit flavors or creams @ 1-2% as well to get it to a more personal taste preference or to just try something new. Comments above I list quite a few that work well with this recipe.
#447 by r4zor#, Dec 20. 2018, 17:53
This is awesome. I just made it, tasted it right away without any steeping and it is spectacular. Never tried the original Pink Lemonade so I can't comment on how close it is, but it is no doubt an amazing juice. Congrats and thanks for sharing!
#448 by micah, Dec 21. 2018, 00:23
r4zor# very glad you like it :) it gets better with age. 5 days is the shortest I wait personally and think it's perfect 2+ weeks out. You can microwave it for about 15 seconds (assuming 30ml), shake and let it sit overnight and it cuts a few days off but it does seem to change the flavor slightly. I still prefer just letting it steep normally.
#449 by Pbuomp, Dec 30. 2018, 01:10
Thanks for the recipe! This one will definitely be going in my rotation. ADV for sure.
#450 by micah, Dec 30. 2018, 19:03
Thanks Pbuomp, glad you like it, and thanks for rating so others can find it. It's easy to experiment with assuming you mostly stick to other fruit or cream flavors either subbing or adding in small doses. I have a few suggestions listed in the comments.
#451 by Pbuomp, Dec 31. 2018, 07:18
Micah fruits, creams and sweets are all I vape. Looking forward to trying the other two recipes you have listed on here. Missing a couple of ingredients for one but plan on ordering them soon.
On another note do you have a strawberry sourbelt recipe? I have been looking for a WTF by OMG E liquids clone but have been unseccessful so far. There are a couple on here but they do not compare. It’s the only store juice I buy now and would really like to find a clone or a replacement. If not no worries. Cannot wait to mix up your other recipes! Thanks for sharing.
#452 by micah, Jan 1. 2019, 00:40
Haven't tried that one but for $20 for 120ml I can get it and see if I can mix up a clone. Says it's strawberry with a hint of sour, and today with so many different flavors to experiment with I should be able to get close once I get a taste of it. Will probably take a few month's to dial it in though.
#453 by Pbuomp, Jan 7. 2019, 02:18
Micah I would be very greatfull if you could do that for me. I’d be willing to buy the test bottle for you if you want.
#454 by Mattrob14, Jan 7. 2019, 07:05
By far the best recipie I've made to date. I was having a hard time finding one that I really enjoy and I now have found it! Thanks so much for sharing. Tastes just like Element Pink Lemonade.
#455 by Hasnain, Jan 7. 2019, 07:06
Hey Micah I’ve noticed a lot of edits in your notes.. should I follow those edits or stick to the original recipe?
#456 by micah, Jan 7. 2019, 13:02
Pbuomp, thanks for the offer. Already ordered it and it should arrive today. I sent you a message.
#457 by micah, Jan 7. 2019, 13:05
Mattrob14, thank you for the kind words. I don't think it's a perfect clone but it is close. In some ways I prefer mine more, and I really like only spending about $4 to make 120ml :)
#458 by micah, Jan 7. 2019, 13:16
Hasnain, I did make 3 actual edits to the recipe after publishing it. I also added two notes on a few substitute ideas. The recipe as published is the current recipe and I haven't changed it since 06/24/2016. I'd start with the original first, and then read the many different ways to potentially vary this recipe both in my notes and within the comments.

Please steep for at least 5 days to allow the flavors to mix, limes to fade, and for the marshmallow and vanilla to come through. This is not a shake a vape and I rotate mixes every 2 weeks personally.

I still make this exactly as the ingredients state today and love it, but when I want to change it up I'll play around with a few of the flavors which is easy to do if you know what flavors you like.
#459 by Sasha.jpg, Jan 8. 2019, 17:17
You recipes are very good, are u planning to publish other ones?
#460 by micah, Jan 9. 2019, 00:54
Thank Sasha, I am working on a few now that I'm trying to dial in. Should publish in the next month or two.
#461 by Sasha.jpg, Jan 15. 2019, 18:03
Have you tried zenith orion?
#462 by micah, Jan 15. 2019, 19:31
Sasha, I haven't tried that particular juice. Raspberry and Lemonade flavor should be fairly easy to clone though as there are a ton of flavors to choose from, many of which I already have. I'll see if my local Vape Bar has it in stock to try.
#463 by Sasha.jpg, Jan 15. 2019, 21:28
Micah, Zenith Orion is considered to be one of the best or iconic of raspberry lemonade juice, last year it was one of the bestsellers. Do you plan to clone element pink Grapefruit and watermelon chill?
#464 by micah, Jan 15. 2019, 22:54
Sasha, looking forward to trying it. I don't vape anything with watermelon in it as the flavor just isn't for me. The Grapefruit from Element is decent but also not my favorite so I don't plan on cloning that. Honestly I prefer my own mixes to almost anything on the market. Most store bought juices are too one dimensional, lack much flavor, or are way too expensive. It only costs $4 or less to make 120ml myself (I buy in bulk) so I rarely pay $20+ for "brand" juice unless I want to try to clone it. I have a great vape bar locally with over 200 flavors you can sample on site so usually I only buy something after I've tried it.
#465 by Hasnain, Jan 16. 2019, 10:08
@micah - alright bro, will give it a try. thanks!
#466 by MRstief, Jan 21. 2019, 11:07
The edits are not changed in the recepy right?
#467 by micah, Jan 22. 2019, 20:27
Edits list each change to the recipe as originally posted. For example: Edit: 06/10/2016
Changed Dragon Fruit to Key Lime. Increased a few flavors slightly.

Edit means that the original recipe as first posted used Dragon Fruit vs Key Lime. I also slightly increased the % of two other flavors.

The recipe was still good using Dragon Fruit vs Key Lime, however it lacked some of the citrus punch I was looking for so I changed it after trying many other flavors.

The recipe as it is listed now is with the changes made as listed in the Description.
#468 by MTL sLOVEnia, Jan 26. 2019, 14:12
Hey Micah, my sincere congrats. The BEST DIY fruit vape I've tried so far. 5 days of steepibg made it exactly per your instructions. Lemonade by Flavorah is inevitable in this recipe, surely. But other notes support it perfectly. I even went for 80/20 as you stated. Vape it in my Freemax Pro mesh on 70 Watts. Perfect. For the first time I emptied the 4 ml tank in just 2 hours. Which is first time ever for me cause have vaping sensitivity probably on PG.
Now, there's the thing I'd like you to try: as per your comments I found you mentioned 0.5% of Kollada.... went for it. And, in addition used my Big Mouth's Aloe vera 1%. Cactus by INW would do similar. Now, that's what is realy pushing up that lemonade!!!! At least for me that is improvement of your perfect recipe. Thanks for sharing, this recipe soon goes up to the 3rd place of all recipes. Would give 10 stars if possible. And I am so glad that finally found a fruit DIY juice that suits my taste. Superb!

MTL sLOVEnia, thank you very much for the kind words. I mentioned the Kollada does enhance the flavor (cooling effect) but varies from the original. Same with Cactus or Big Mouth's Aloe vera which will give it a slightly more juicier flavor, but I'd recommend trying it @ 0.3% to 0.5% vs 1% since it can easily overpower the recipe and give you a more flowery note once steeped if used much higher.

I truly am very grateful so many people have tried this recipe and like it.

As mentioned before, this recipe is fairly easy to experiment with as long as you don't go overboard. Everyone has their own "personal" taste as to what they like. Reduce, replace, or add a small % of almost any fruit or cream that you like and discover your own ADV :)

Below are some of my favorites to change up this recipe when I want something different that I enjoy and know will blend well.

Note, all the changes or additions below will change the total flavor considerably. I could make 50+ different recipes using the flavors below, but encourage people to try the original recipe first and then find what suits their own personal taste.

Dragonfruit (TPA) @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
Golden Pineapple (Cap) @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
Golden Eye (Nicotine River) @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
Kiwi Double (FA) @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
White Peach (FA) @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
Juicy Peach (CAP) @ @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
Raspberry Sweet (CAP) @ 1.5% replacing Key Lime
Inawera Cactus @ 0.3% either adding or reducing Key Lime slightly.

Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA) replacing Marshmallow
Meringue (FA) @ 1% replacing Marshmallow
Sugar Cookies V1 (CAP) 1.5% replacing Marshmallow
Whipped Cream (FA) @ 1% replacing Marshmallow

Strawberry Lemonade (Real Flavors) @ 2% reducing Lemonade (Flavorah) to 2%
Forest Fruit (FA) @ 2% replacing Sweet Tangerine (CAP)
Sweet Mango (CAP) @ 1.5% replacing Sweet Tangerine (CAP)

Pink Candy Burst flavor (RF) @ 2% replacing Sweet Strawberry

Note: Flavors below can take up to 2-4 weeks to steep.
Bavarian Cream (TPA) @ 1% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
Vienna Cream (FA) @ 1% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
Vanilla Custard V1 (CAP) @ 1% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (CAP) @ 1% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
Funnel Cake (CAP) @ 1% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
WOW (FA) @ 1% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) @ 0.5% replacing Vanilla Swirl (TPA)

On a side note, I did add a new recipe "Mango Peach Blast (My ADV)" for those who want to try something completely different if you like mango or peach flavor. It's not as sweet as this recipe, but very juicy and flavorful.
#470 by MTL sLOVEnia, Jan 26. 2019, 19:59
You realy are smth Micah. Not that you just share your experience and knowledge but you do it with joy and very detailed. Out of the options you mention I like the Vienna cream and VB Ice Cream as well as the White peach so will go play around with that.
However, your basic recipe realy does not deserve any changes as it is realy realy good. But you surely understand the vaping world where everyone's looking for the "Holy Grail"... 😉
Let's now see what you prepared in that Mango Peach Blast. Thanks and cheers.
#471 by Mikos, Jan 27. 2019, 01:06
I mixed up my most recent batch of PL a couple of weeks ago and got confused, accidentally doubling-down on the marshmallow and forgetting to add vanilla swirl. I've never really cared for what I felt was a creamsicle-like taste of the vape when using it in the days immediately after mixing, and found that the 2x marshmallow/0 vanilla combo actually (for me, anyway) had a more pleasurable taste and seemed to resemble Element's PL even more closely.
#472 by micah, Jan 27. 2019, 01:25
Agree Milkos, doubling marshmallow and removing the vanilla will give it a bit more tartness. I added the vanilla swirl to make it a little smoother to vape. Using Purilum Jelley Candy instead of Vanilla Swirl also is closer to the original and smooths it out a bit. Purilum wasn't available when I first made this and is still hard to find outside of North America.

I tried to mostly use easily sourced flavors but please customize this recipe to your own personal taste and what you enjoy :)
#473 by Spetznaaz, Mar 7. 2019, 17:08
Hello,

I've just purchased all the flavours to make this as i love the Element Pink Lemonade but it's way too expensive to buy.

The only one i had trouble with was the Strawberry, i could only get the new reducde RF blend, which i've read is much weaker. Does anyone know how much i should add?

Many Thanks

Spetz
#474 by micah, Mar 7. 2019, 18:23
RF Strawberry is similar enough to CAP Sweet Strawberry that you shouldn't notice much of a difference. I'd kick it up 0.5% though. Please let me know how you like it once steeped. Tons of other suggestions to try in the comments as well if you want to experiment
#475 by Spetznaaz, Mar 7. 2019, 19:27
Thank you for the reply. That's good to know, i'm really looking forward to trying it, been vaping cheap juices recently this will be the first one i've made in a while. I'll report back once steeped :)
#476 by MTL sLOVEnia, Mar 7. 2019, 21:21
This DIY liquid all the time in my Freemax sub ohm, I only developped habit to add some fresh minty taste by adding 10% of Ken's 'Ice Baby Ice'...
#477 by v3dg, Mar 17. 2019, 11:27
I can't believe I have still not rated this recipe! This is my ultimate ADV. When starting mixing (about 2.5 years ago) I ordered 400$ of concentrates to make 12 recipes, this is the only one I kept! I have made over 10L of this since! That's just how good it is... Thanks you for your contribution.
#478 by micah, Mar 17. 2019, 14:22
Thanks v3sg, really appreciate it and I'm glad you have enjoyed it over the years :)
#479 by kerichan, Mar 29. 2019, 21:48
I didn't have all of these ingredients unfortunately :( I didn't have lemonade, key lime or vanilla swirl. So I subbed out the lemonade with CAP Lemon Sicily, the key lime with CAP lemon lime and vanilla swirl with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and steeped it in warm water for 30-40 minutes and its AMAZING.
#480 by micah, Mar 30. 2019, 01:54
kerichan, those are all great substitutes so you aren't too far off :)
This recipe is easy to experiment with and I'm glad you enjoyed it as made :) The lime will fade and it will be a smother vape after 5+ days if you can wait.
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is a great sub and I use it often.
#481 by North Fog, Apr 12. 2019, 20:00
I feel alone with this problem, but no matter what vendor, caps sweet strawberry tastes like pepper to me. I don’t get a pepper taste from any other flavor. I don’t get pepper from vbic like a lot of others do. I want to make this but would HAVE to sub out sweet strawberry. Any suggestions would be awesome. I know I’m really late on this recipe but summer is coming soon, and I’ve learned to love straw lemonades in the heat.
#482 by micah, Apr 13. 2019, 14:18
vulgaR!, I never got a pepper taste personally, but understand tastes are subjective. The following subs I've used are below:
Inawera Shisha Strawberry
FlavourArt Strawberry Juicy
Flavor Apprentice Strawberry Ripe

Any of the above used at the same % will work well.
#483 by B-Rad, Aug 18. 2019, 15:08
Made this last year, but it just wasn't my kind of flavor profile. I found the vanilla and lime to be a bit too overpowering. So I chucked it in a drawer and there it remained for about 9 months.
Yesterday I found it while cleaning out my "fail-recipes".
Since it smelled pretty good, I decided to drip a bit...
WOW! What a difference 8 months makes! lol
This stuff is AWESOME! I can't stop vaping it!
Thanks!
#484 by micah, Aug 19. 2019, 00:31
I've vaped it up to 4 months old and it was still good and it doesn't change much after the 3rd week. Glad it held in there for 9 months! It's decent after a solid week but for the lime to fade enough I wait 2 weeks. Glad you like it :)
#485 by Sasha.jpg, Feb 6. 2020, 22:23
Have you tried replacing Purilum Jelly Candy - Capella Jelly Candy?
#486 by anonymous1, Mar 2. 2020, 20:35
PHENOMENAL JUICE!! Absolutely fantastic! Probably the BEST recipe I've mixed to date! Well done, sir. Bravo!
#487 by anonymous1, Mar 15. 2020, 19:24
... AND THANK YOU!
#488 by Furian, Apr 16. 2020, 15:39
Legit recipie. I used a different lemonade but it still tasted brilliant. Will be making this by the litre in future. Thanks for sharing
#489 by Ricci, May 19. 2020, 21:28
I I don't know how to taste the "original" recipe, but this is one of the TOP recipes I've ever tasted. Thanks!!!
#490 by sed, Jun 27. 2020, 23:55
After over a year mixing this and trying other recipes, it is my all time favorite. I have lessened the limes by half and added 1% kiwi double TPA for personal taste so it isn't quite as tart. I am vaping it right now.
Thank you for sharing your work Micah.
#491 by Kurt, Nov 9. 2020, 17:09
Top clone sir well done. Steep not quite over yet but that familiar elements taste is defiantly there. Thank you for sharing your hard work.
#492 by 8062282, Dec 12. 2020, 08:35
Having vaped Elements Pink Lemonade, I can vouch that this is very, very close. Well done..
#493 by micah, Dec 12. 2020, 22:21
Thanks everyone for the kind comments and ratings. This recipe is very customizable with other fruit or bakery based flavors. I list a ton of options in the comments but new flavors come out constantly that I'm trying. Newest favorite currently is River Heaven which is a mix of fruits and cream. https://riversupplyco.com/products/river-heaven Replacing the lime % with this and it's amazing. Highly recommend trying small 30ml batches personalizing this recipe with your favorite flavors. Cost is usually around $1 per 30ml so if you mess up not much of a loss 😁
#494 by michael, Feb 28. 2021, 00:15
wow i just tried that with heaven, replacing both limes and its amazing. gives me twelve monkeys vibes
#495 by SamHam, Mar 1. 2021, 23:00
Hi. I'm new to mixing and really want to try your recipe. When I went to get the Lime flavour, I could choose from Lime - Cold Pressed or Lime - Tahitti, but no Lime Tahitti (cold Pressed) ??? Is one of the ones available to me the right one or a suitable swap? I cant find the combination of tahitti and cold pressed anywhere. I'm in the UK. Thanks!
#496 by micah, Mar 2. 2021, 15:57
SamHam, cold pressed is a little more tart than Tahiti but either one will work. Lime is in the recipe for tartness and after a 2+ week steep the lime flavor is barely noticable with only the tartness remaining. Inawera Shisha Lime or Inawera Lime is a good replacement if you can't find the FlavourArt brand.
#497 by Sasha.jpg, Mar 3. 2021, 13:27
Micah, did you find the grapefruit note?:
#498 by micah, Mar 3. 2021, 15:49
Sasha, I tried FlavourArt Grapefruit & Inawera Grapefruit using 0.5% and while close it didn't improve the flavor IMO. Next flavor order I'm going to get River Yuzu (River Supply Co) which is a combination of Lime/grapefruit type flavor. From reviews, it says it has the flavor and tartness without the bitterness which is mostly what I'm looking for.
#499 by Sasha.jpg, Mar 4. 2021, 07:39
Have you tried Inw White Grapefruit?
#500 by Franca, Apr 17. 2021, 14:43
Great Recipe, thanks! I'll try FW Sweetener next time, to see what difference the citric acid in CAP SS makes.
#501 by Franca, May 10. 2021, 23:00
Has anyone tried VTA Persian Lime? What could it substitute? FA lime distilled or TPA key lime? :)
#502 by SlimePit_Poacher, May 13. 2021, 02:24
I use FA Florida Key Lime because TPA was sold out. I like it, this is a good recipe but it's gota steep or it has a weird flavor.
#503 by ιzzу, May 21. 2021, 21:30
How well does this work as a 50/50 mix?
#504 by micah, May 22. 2021, 00:29
50/50 PG/VG is very little difference, just slightly thinner and slightly less sweet. Recipe is fairly sweet already trying to get a close clone with the original, I doubt you can taste the difference. I make this 50/50 or 60/40 all the time and can't tell a difference.
#505 by SlimePit_Poacher, May 23. 2021, 23:49
I make mine 70vg 30pg and i just mixed up 24oz in a condiment bottle. 709ml thats how much i like it. I vape 80-90 ml a week and fill up 120ml bottles to take to work. I have other recipes if i want something different but i prefer lemonade and this is a good one.
#506 by micah, May 24. 2021, 20:51
Glad you like it SlimePit, I assume it holds up I'm flavor for 8+ weeks when you make that large of a batch.
#507 by SlimePit_Poacher, May 25. 2021, 01:12
I can't say yet. i can say that it starts off clear and after about 7-8 days gets a reddish tint to it. I'll let you know. Also i vape on SS 316L mesh using rayon for wick in a Doom X tank. Taste delightful.
#508 by SlimePit_Poacher, Jul 14. 2021, 00:02
Just mixed another 709ml, seems to be working good. Mixed this one 80%VG because i work outside and it's very hot in south alabama which thins the liquid considerably.

If there's anything i can do to improve on this already great recipe let me know. Flavor held up quiet well but do keep in mind, i'm using condiment bottles and storing it in 70F on the bottom of my night stand in the shade.
#509 by TBEV , Aug 24. 2021, 09:02
Can't wait to try, awesome to see the time you've put into dialing in this recipe! Thanks!!!
#510 by samba sun, Sep 11. 2021, 13:16
Can you clone NJOY SAMBASUN it's been discontinued for the last few years and I still miss it
#511 by Alex, Dec 21. 2021, 12:57
micah, I read all your notes, do I understand correctly that your final version looks like this?

1% Key Lime (TPA)
3% Lemonade (FLV or Pur)
2% Lime Cold Pressed (FA)
1.5% Jelly Candy (PUR)
0.5% Super Sweet (CAP)
2% Sweet Strawberry (CAP)
2% Sweet Tangerine (CAP)
1% Vienna Cream (FA)
2% Juicy Lemon (CAP)
#512 by micah, Dec 25. 2021, 16:23
Alex, pretty much exactly how I make it although some of the flavors are a little difficult to get like PUR. I'm out of Jelly Candy so I've been using FA Marshmallow instead. 1% Vienna should probably be 0.5% as it can be a little overwhelming. FA Bavarian cream @ 0.5% is also good. Customize it to your liking, I'd just try to stick around 11-14% in flavoring so it's not too strong. Takes about 5+ days for the lime/lemon flavors to mellow out.
#513 by SlimePit_Poacher, Mar 6. 2022, 20:02
Just mixed up another 24oz 709ml. Used 4% lime cold press and jelly candy here. It's an everyday vape for me, im not too specific on following directions and try to tweak it a little every time. It's such a massive amount that i mix at one time though, it usually doesn't change a lot. The jelly candy is better than marshmellow tho, imo
#514 by SlimePit_Poacher, Mar 6. 2022, 20:05
Like to add, using koolaida or pineapple chokes me, not recommended... I desire more of a fresh lime taste in my lemonade, gonna see how ^^^ this works.
#515 by Flavor Alchemist, Apr 15. 2022, 05:32
Oh my God.....Vaping on the recipe posted after 8 days.....without the sweetener....Excellent recipe....well executed...Thank you so much for this recipe post and your willingness to share in conversation...Now Alex posts his comment with another recipe of your final version....Looks like an interesting adaptation worth playing with.
#516 by micah, Apr 17. 2022, 17:47
Thanks Alchemist, sweetener is very optional depending on preference as it's fairly sweet already without it. It's easy to customize assuming you like fruit style vapes. 0.5 to 1% of most other fruit, candy, desert, or cream flavors work well.
#517 by Red Dog, Jul 21. 2022, 03:39
I’ve really tried to like this. I’ve made it like 3-4 times. My issue is that it burns coils. I don’t even use sweetener. I think it’s the vanilla swirl.
#518 by micah, Jul 30. 2022, 23:38
Red Dog, I find most heavy VG vapes burn through coils.I agree this recipe will clog up coils fairly fast, especially if you use sweetener. I build my own and change out coils and cotton daily so it's not that big of a deal for me. If you're buying your coils which can be expensive I certainly understand and would avoid most VG and sweet recipes.
#519 by SlimePit_Poacher, Jul 31. 2022, 22:00
I use a Doom X tank with rayon and 200-300 SS vandyvape mesh (i cut it myself). My coil last 1-2 weeks. I try to change it every week unless im busy. It's not a problem compared to other recipes for me. I change it because i work outside and it's around a lot of dust and air particles.
#520 by micah, Aug 1. 2022, 20:20
Doom X looks like an interesting RTA tank. Still using the Geekvape Creed which has been my personal favorite after trying 8+ tanks. Didn't know you could buy mesh to cut yourself :) Might have to try it.
#521 by SlimePit_Poacher, Aug 2. 2022, 02:28
Yeah, I've bought way too many tanks myself (expensive one's). I love this tank because it's so simple. The more you use it the more you love it, albeit, you have to get past the learning curve of wicking mesh.

I like this liquid at 380-400f, i prefer twisting my own coils in my aromamizer for desert liquids though. Mesh is best for fruity flavors and mid temps IMO.
#522 by michael, Nov 18. 2022, 18:43
Jelly Candy (Purilum) - 1.50%
Key Lime (TPA) - 1.00%
Lemonade (Flavorah) - 3.00%
Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed / Distilled) (FA) - 2.00%
Super Sweet (CAP) - 0.50%
Sweet Strawberry (CAP) /(Purilum) - 2.00%
Sweet Tangerine (CAP) - 2.00%
Vienna Cream (FA) - 0.50%

This recipe, With the distilled Lime tahity (as cold pressed is not as widely available in uk) and sweet strawberry Purilum (as CAP is much more expensive for some reason?) - it tastes like lime skittles v nice.
#523 by micah, Feb 4. 2023, 16:52
Great combo! Love a little Vienna Cream in most fruit recipes. Strawberry Purilum it's as sweet but close enough. Cold pressed lime has slightly more kick but also close enough.
#524 by Stay, Mar 3. 2023, 11:16
Hi! Have you found a grapefruit note for this recipe? or something that will improve the recipe? Btw will there be new recipes from you?
#525 by Lemonie, Oct 13. 2023, 13:52
Just had to register to say…..Without a doubt the BEST recipe I have ever used - thank you Micah 👏🏼👏🏼 My ADV for the last 5 years now!!
#526 by Apathy, Oct 26. 2023, 04:30
@mrcessna your recipe says private?
#527 by Apathy, Oct 26. 2023, 04:43
Thanks for this @micah it's very tasty. Myself I prefer fw keylime alot more than tfas. It's more tart, and tfas has a slight offnote to me. It's plasticy or rubber or something, hard to put my finger on it. But changing out the keylime made a big difference for me. But thank you for all the hard work and time you put into this so that we can all enjoy a very tasty pink lemonade!
#528 by IggyZ, Jan 14, 12:02
Mixed this up last week, and tried really hard not to vape it until the suggested 5 day steep time was up. The taste of this mix is great, but I believe the vanilla swirl is a bit too high. It takes away from the lemonade, and just confuses my palate. Other than that, this mix is good, but quite harsh even after 7 days. Very tasty lemonade, but because of the harshness I have to rate this 4/5. Thanks for sharing, Micah.
#529 by IggyZ, Jan 31, 10:31
Unfortunately after 2 weeks, this mix is just as harsh as it was when I just shook it up. Shame, as it has potential, but something in this is ripping my throat apart.
#530 by SimonD, Mar 30, 09:00
This is a beautiful vape. It needs a minimum of a week to steep after which it all comes together really well.
I literally can't put it down it's that tasty. Fantastic work!!
