Berries & Cream Shortcake...
Clotted Cream & Custard Premium really work some magic with these berries! Boysenberry (blackberry & raspberry) plus Huckleberry (blackberry & blueberry) are wonderful together. Using the 2 VSO flavors worked out a lot better than what I used to use (WF Boyseberry Raspberry) which is good, but using these 2 gives me a more smooth calm natural real fruit flavor. Blueberry Jam & Raspberry Syrup add syrupiness. The black, blue & raspberry is absolutely wonderful for those who enjoy that flavor combo! A touch of Lemon Sicily brightens the fruits.
I think the Philadelphia Buttercake adds just the right amount of softer buttery cake texture to the cookies for the shortcake.
As always, sweeten to taste.
