This is the original recipe, not mine.

This was found at DIY for Dummies website http://www.lediypourlesnuls.com/steep-vapor-pop-deez/

Does it taste anything like the original?
#4 by Beaufort Batches, Mar 19. 2016, 07:02
Yes it is almost it and I'd say 97% the only thing missing is the salt note that I cannot taste anyway but I've been told that part is missing. Maybe saline would help with that I don't know but I have made 4 bottles of 30ml for myself since posting this. It is worth mixing up and it is good and yummy...

Add 1% Saline and you'll get salty taste

i used salted caramel FW to substitute for 1/2 to 2/3 of the tfa caramel. and that surprises me about 1% saline.... i didn't realize it had enough NaCl to actually taste it in quantities so small

I have never tried the Pop Deez , only this and your original version.I must admit that I do prefer your original version but I find myself swapping between the two just for kicks and this one is very good and much simpler to mix! Thanks for the share!

This was the first recipe test.

Good recipe but absolutely NOT 97% there. Not even remotely reminiscent of a caramel popcorn.

Just to be clear this is a shared recipe. It smelled like the original and at first I thought it was really close, then after it sit a day or so, flavor was not what I originally thought. It is good but you should try my custom recipe, everyone that has tried it likes it better than the commercial popped steep. tjek.nu/r/5AtT

@Beaufort Batches...Tweaked just slightly by reducing TFA Caramel by 2%, added FW Salted Caramel at 2% to try to add a salted flavor and this tastes yummy. Thank you for taking the time and bringing it over from that website :)

Gonna try this with no warnings, DX PB and FA Caramel. I finally got the TPA kettle corn and I have FW Salty butter balls which may go well too as I dont have salted caramel.

Never tried DX PB but FA Caramel and FW Salty Butter balls are good. Let me know how it turned out if you get the chance.

will do I also checked on the DIY site again and saw one labled v4 that had yogurt in it at 1.5% too. Im curious you think this recipe would still be flavorful if cut in half? or is it kind of weak as is? Also what does the vanilla swirl do for it at a higher %. It seems like kettle smells fairly creamy by itself, im gonna try to do a solo tester tonight tho....will keep ya posted

Can anyone tell me if any of these flavourings are definitely in steep popdeez, either by the smell or taste of the individual flavourings. I'm working on gathering information for different sources to make a clone of this myself and every bit of info would help loads
#16 by Beaufort Batches, Mar 15. 2017, 00:32
I think all of these flavors are in there but missing something or a few things.

Ahh thanks for the reply ;)

I have before me the original "steep pop deeze" and this recipe. They are completely different. This recipe is good but it's not steep pop deeze. Change the name .. :-)
