Indian spiced tea, commonly called 'chai', is a mixture of usually
anise, cinnamon, cardamon, ginger root, black pepper and tea, boiled hard and then added 30-50% milk, and its always served hot with sugar.
and if that doesnt make for a strong taste, its rounded with heavy dried fruit like fig and plum and such. and whilst chai is always chai, the taste is always as individual as the person making the spice-mix...
however, even though wildly experimented in the beginning, after some tweakings this has become one of my top ten vapes closest to the real thing. the killer in the mix is flv heat, so dont drop that one, everything else can be tweaked to taste, cos really, some like it more hot, others like more cardamon, and someone else dies for the dark fruit w/ milk mix - how do you like your chai?
so feel free to adapt and change. anise, cinnamon and ginger are only to intensify those aspects, the chai spice is good on its own for spicing. though most of the fruits are optional, the fig really hits the spot while chai spice, black tea, cream and sweetener make the base recipie.
maybe you add some cardamon if you have, with some chili or black pepper you can make it really hot, or you can add honey or other fruit like apples, raisins, some orange peel - tweak and sweeten to taste.
