I couldn't find DB/Liberty Flights American Red anywhere so I'm trying this with Hangsen's USA Red Mix at the same %. Will follow up with feedback.

Two weeks of steeping and I'm very pleased with the results of using this recipe with the Hangsen flavor. This may well become my tobacco ADV, thanks Lars!

First of all, thanks a lot to share this recipes with us!. I just placed an order to make this one, in the little time I've been vaping I have found a bit of sensitivity to PG so, I want to craft this at a PG/VG ratio of 30/70. Has anyone tried it that way?

DoY, I honestly can't remember, but I believe it would work with that ratio - it might be a tad sweeter, but hey :)

Well, I made it at a PG/VG ratio of 30/70 10ml and a PG/VG ratio of 20/80 another 10ml, its been steeping for 7days and both are just amazing. The 20/80 is a tad sweeter with less throat hit but, not far from being amazing good. The 30/70 is just on the spot, not too sweet and the right hit. Honestly it is not strange this recipe kept you out from smoking, it is just perfect in every single way and I can't start to imagine how good is going to be with a 2 weeks steeping time. My only regret is to not have crafted more than 10ml of each. In my next badge I will also try to make a little test without PG (Except for the one in the aromas and nicotine) and use vodka. I will also report back and one more time thanks a lot!!

I saw this one and wanted to try it but percentages look high for me. Unable to find DV American Red, so used HS USA Red Mix like noshadowkick did. I dialed flavors down since this was a new mix for me. HS Red at 3%, 7 Leaves at 1%, Shade at 2%. Put in on my dripper after shake and it's already good. The Red has a nice tang to it, almost metallic. Very cigarette like for an ejuice. After tasting this I don't think I would like the percentages in your recipe with the HS. But that said, thanks Lars for the idea, this is a great combo of flavors!

Beware that this is from 2011 - back then the equipment required strong flavoring - it's a bit different now, and personally I would adjust the total flavoring down using the "Adjust total flavor %" under the blue wrench - Maybe to 8%? Of course you are welcome to try it as it is - it should be good, but it might be very flavorful! :)

Thanks for the heads up Lars. I took note of Aleman's comment about lowering %. I'll start low and work up. I don't vape tobacco flavors but a friend is getting his dad to quit smoking and he wants to try something close to Marlboro Red. I was going to play with this a bit and see how it goes.

Day 1: Dropped everything equally bringing total % DOWN TO 8%. On SnV it's a touch sweet. It has the mouth feel. Just lacking a bit of darkness and throat hit. I'll try bumping up the shade by 1% and let it rest for a week before trying it again. Thanks again Lars.

noshadowkick and Aleman above replaced the American Red (DV) with USA Red Mix (Hangsen) e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/22704 - Aleman suggested lowering the % to 3% for that... :)
