Could you try and describe what effect Super Sweet has against the Sour please? Quite interested to learn why you used both, thanks for any info :-)
#2 by Leon Fly, Feb 23. 2016, 23:21
Sure. The Supersweet sweetens the apple, makes it taste more like candy. The Sour makes it tangy.
#3 by Paul, Feb 24. 2016, 17:05
Thanks a lot for the reply, makes perfect sense. Now I just have to try it! :-)
#4 by Leon Fly, Feb 25. 2016, 00:13
Paul. If once you've tried it, I'd be keen for you to rate/review it if you would. Thanks in advance.
#5 by Mark H, Feb 25. 2016, 00:16
this smells and tastes just like the sweets apple sourz well done leon its perfect mate great work
#6 by Jaymin , Feb 25. 2016, 00:49
Wow! I really enjoyed it. My kind of vape. It's different as I've not come across many sour receipes that I like. Definitely will be ordering some more concentrates to make this. Perfect amount of flavour for my pg allergy to deal with & cost effective to. Thanks Leon!
#7 by Leon Fly, Feb 25. 2016, 00:57
Cheers guys, glad you like it. I'm already working on a similar recipe with enough of a difference to feel like a new juice.
#8 by WBrearley, Feb 27. 2016, 23:57
Really nice! Pretty much nails the flavour of apple sourz and is quite saturating to the palette in a really nice way. Wish I'd made more than 20ml so I could try some after the 18hr breathe....
#9 by Dee, Mar 5. 2016, 22:26
Tasty! I used 1% EM instead of Super Sweet and really enjoyed it! Breathed over night and steeped for a week. Looking forward to making a bigger batch - thanks Leon :)
#10 by cloudwatcher81, May 1. 2016, 18:26
I was a bit hesitant about this recipe at first given it's 7.75% flavoring, seemed like it might be a little wattered down, I mixed it at max VG (92.25% VG) and it still came out really good, nice smooth flavor...kudos...thanks for sharing (gave you 5 stars)
#11 by AustinMac82, May 19. 2016, 22:17
My new ADV. Great mix! Thank you
#12 by stevemc, May 20. 2016, 20:40
what a great mix.left it for 7 days and what great flavour. well done ( give that mana beer )
#13 by Vaper Steve, Nov 11. 2016, 23:55
Very good shake and vape, tastes wonderful but found it a little sweet for my tastes so may reduce the super sweet but will give you 5 stars for this..... thank you
#14 by Mouzes, Nov 15. 2016, 12:01
5 stars! Agree, slightly too sweet for me as well but hey. It is a bery good recipe!
#15 by UnderdogVaping, Feb 28. 2017, 06:01
I'm a little new to DIY. But this recipe is my favorite by far. Almost tastes exactly like NKTR Apple Sour. I made 60mls for a friend and he told me it was the apple flavor he always wanted. I agree with him. Already vaped 240ml. making more right now. Thank you. 5 stars all day.
#16 by XMoose499, Mar 14. 2017, 03:11
Wondering if anyone has mixed this without SuperSweet & if results are still good?
#17 by Shlam, Mar 20. 2017, 13:38
Dang good sour apple!
#18 by jbeats21, Apr 3. 2017, 10:30
if i replace super sweet with sweetener it is still good?
#19 by vapergirl, Apr 3. 2017, 20:12
I usually cut sweeteners in recipes but this one needs the small amount that it has to bring out the apple and pear. made a 30 ml batch which was gone in 3 days. made a 100ml and it's half gone lol. I also made one with Fuji Apple (FA) at 1.5 and added Green Apple (TPA) at 1.5 and it was awesome! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
#20 by Top_Cat187, May 11. 2017, 16:56
Really awesome recipe. I only vape fruity flavors and this is the best apple recipe I have come across.
#21 by kucherenkoZZZ, May 21. 2017, 22:01
Nothing special :(
#22 by Flipper7 , May 23. 2017, 21:42
If we don't have pear(stevia) by cap I have tfa and fa pear which one would work better here?
#23 by 8062282, Jul 2. 2017, 10:40
Love this. Just the right balance of apple & pear ✅
#24 by jbeats21, Jul 13. 2017, 16:58
can i sub pear stevia with something else?
#25 by SneakiePuffin, Nov 16. 2017, 00:21
Awesome flavor. I steeped it for 10 min in a heat bath and gave it 10min of breathing with a good shake at the end. I recommend less intial drops of the super sweet when making larger quantities. Add more if desired.
#26 by yrddwg, Jan 28. 2018, 22:56
I just made 2/25 ml samples one with a water bath and giving it a week steep the other bath, shake and vape. I now see a bigger batch for sure. Thank you for the recipe I feel like its a sour with my taste for sweet, 5 stars
#27 by Robin, Feb 4. 2018, 18:48
This is really good even though I had to sub Pear TPA and Sweetener TPA (same %). I'm sure it's not the same as this recipe but i'll make it again. Thanks for sharing!
#28 by CawknBalls, Feb 12. 2018, 05:18
made the recipe for 140ml of 70vg/30pg as well as 2x30mls of 50vg/50pg and turned out AWESOME..I used FA Pear @ .85% and FW sweetener @.20%..........Thank you
#29 by NotKyle, Feb 20. 2018, 08:08
Used FA pear but it turned out great. Added to the daily vapes.
#30 by RaGCaR, Mar 26. 2018, 20:19
I have no pear flavours at all. Any decent flavour to sub for it that would still work?
#31 by Mrt, Jun 27. 2018, 00:42
Amazing thanks for the recipe
#32 by Vectïon, Jul 3. 2018, 21:02
@RaGCaR, if you haven’t tried it already try subbing the pear for inawera raspberry at .5%. Fuji and raspberry go great together!
#33 by RaGCaR, Jul 3. 2018, 21:16
Awesome, I'll try that. Thank you.
#34 by Rafael Pablo, Jul 5. 2018, 03:18
Hi i have silverline Pear w/stevia , its the same as capella Pear w/stevia right?
#35 by Jakes122, Jul 6. 2018, 12:03
TPA sour is a bit soapy for me. If you have the same issue try Sour (LB) for that tangy stingy sour.
#36 by alexnms77, Jul 30. 2018, 10:32
Isn't it a bit weak with only 7.75% of flavoring? I know FA flavor is a strong one, but does it really taste like a candy?
All my other mixes are normally at least 15 % and more...
#37 by Fooeva, Dec 22. 2018, 13:35
Mixed per recipe instructions. Loved it! Well done
#38 by Borba, Feb 27. 2019, 02:08
5 stars after only 8 hours steeping. Wonderful recipe! Looking forward for more Fruit ADV's!!!
#39 by hatjr, Apr 19. 2019, 03:20
I'm really enjoying this recipe, thanks!
#40 by anciao, May 30. 2019, 04:23
Nice flavor and very economic, i will make some changes but its a great recipe.
#41 by BulldogIrish, Jun 4. 2019, 06:21
Wow awesome! Just mixed this up and gave it a taste good stuff man! I love the Bazooka Sour apple Straws Ice juice and this isn't very far off..added some ws23 for my own liking!
#42 by Lisa, Jun 15. 2019, 00:49
Awesome apple flavor. I mixed this up as written and the flavor is great, even in the nord.
#43 by MikeG, Jul 7. 2019, 15:25
delicious, especially on these hot summer days. TY ... I give you the 5 star
#44 by MikeG, Jul 7. 2019, 15:26

#45 by ziggy, Jul 18. 2019, 21:50
Who says super sweet and sour don't work together, and why, please?
It has never crossed my mind. Or did I miss something here?
#46 by ziggy, Jul 18. 2019, 21:52
Can I use sour wizard fa sub? The same 3%? Thank you!
#47 by CalubalayDIY, Jul 24. 2019, 10:14
I can't get Pear (stevia) where I am. Anyone have any recommendations on a substitute?
#48 by Englishguy, Oct 19. 2019, 19:02
Hi is there a steep time for this please
#49 by JunkmanJones, Mar 6. 2020, 08:09
This tastes amazing if you wait for it to steep for a while. The longer you steep it, the better it tastes. It also works as a shake and vape too.
#50 by pedro.medeiros, Oct 1. 2020, 21:52
hey, can i sub sour TPA to sour wizard FA in tha same percentages?
#51 by TheSacrament, Jan 20. 2021, 12:25
I'll be doing my first ever mix today and have chosen this recipe. Just waiting for my bottles to arrive and off I go! wish me luck :)
I'll come back once it's mixed and give my rookie analysis haha
#52 by TheSacrament, Feb 10. 2021, 18:56
Quick update on my comment above, I made this and tried it straight away. The flavour was a bit muted and there was a distinct off taste (coming from the Fuji Apple, I tried it as a solo flavouring and the same thing). I've let it steep for 20 days and it's fantastic! I think some candy apple could be added to bring out the brightness but well done, this is a great vape!
#53 by R3N3G4D3, Apr 16. 2021, 18:45
Where do I get "pear with stevia"? I can't find it at any flavour retailer in my country. I'm being told by shop owners that it doesn't exist.
#54 by Moggy, May 25. 2021, 13:48
Just made 500ml of this exactly as the recipe says. Been vaping for several years now and this has got to be the most amazing vape I've ever had. Will be making it my go to vape from now on. Kudos to you for making such a great vape.
#55 by Jakes122, Jun 8. 2021, 00:29
This has been in my rotation for years - finally came back to give that well deserved 5 star.

#56 by Leon Fly, Oct 27. 2021, 12:53
So glad everyone's enjoying the recipe. It was one of the first ones I created that I felt was good enough to share.
Not long after I became employed by an E-Liquid company to create their recipes and sadly haven't been able to give to the community ever since.

Some thoughts on my original recipe.

The pear shines through a bit more than I'd have hoped, I find by adding 1% CAP double Apple and 1% TPA Apple Candy, this becomes a more complex and true to life recipe.

Enjoy y'all. :)
#57 by Methedrine, Oct 27. 2021, 23:34
I just made this at max VG a few days ago and it's a bit weak after only three days. Hoping some steeping will bring out the strong flavours people are saying.
#58 by fraud0, Nov 8. 2021, 21:42
This was the first recipie I have ever tried so far but I subbed a few flavours

- replaced the sweetener with 10% EM (Cotton Candy circus TPA) @ 0.25%
- TPA Green Apple instead of Fuji Apple.
- Capella Powerful sour instead of Sour TPA

As a SnV the cotton candy flavour can be quite overpowering.

After a 7 day steep the EM Cotton Candy flavour has subsided and I get sweetness inhale and heavy pear exhale, which is a very enjoyable vape juice but maybe not the flavour the author was intending?

Will try other comments using 1% CAP double Apple and 1% TPA Apple Candy and go back to using some Fuji apple.

Thanks for the cool recipie!
