Hoping to get cherry accented dark chocolate ice cream here. I usually reach for INW Cherries paired with MF White Cherry as my go to. I get a nice juicy red maraschino vibe from those two without any medicinal notes. However, I usually use that in fruity/ beverage mixes, never with chocolate. I just recently finally picked up the SSA Ripe Cherry, and it packed quite the punch with a similar maraschino taste – except a bit deeper and more full – to flesh out the much brighter and top notey "white cherry".
Time will tell how much the Cherries continue to punch through the chocolate ice cream layer. I went with my two most recent favorite chocolates. The WF for its slightly darker Milk Chocolate note, SSA Chocolate Mousse as it also leans to the darker side, and their plain Ice Cream to thicken up the body and mouthfeel getting closer to an actual ice cream. Then Coffee Liqueur for the finishing touches. Not so much for its boozey coffee qualities but to really deepen those chocolates to a true rich "dark" chocolate.
Thanks DJ35. I usually pair the MF with INW Cherries, and to me I get a pretty nice maraschino type of vibe. But I had just recently picked up the Ripe cherry and wanted to try that out with it. You could probably also try and swap the MF for INW at 1.50 to 2%, and it would still bring a decent amount of cherry to the mix
