Notes
I'm trying to create a cotton candy flavor that actually tastes like cotton candy. This is a pink cotton candy profile. I know the percentages look high but I really want to try something new.

Well after about 24 hours this is tasting very nice. Definitely a 'pink' cotton candy flavor and a nice thick mouthfeel. It's an ADV as is.

As with past cotton candy creations, I expect the cotton candy flavor to become even more pronounced as time goes by. I'll comment an update in a couple of days.

I really think the Toasted Marshmallow (FW) is the key, along with the Brown Sugar (TPA). It doesn’t taste burnt or smoky. It has that sweet, caramelized spun sugar taste.

There are slight but distinct underlying notes of vanilla and light fruitiness (strawberry or pink).

After about 36 hours I can confirm this is easily in my top 5 favorite tasting recipes.

I cannot think of a single thing I would change: the small amount of Strawberry (TPA) & Bubblegum (Pink) (TPA) give it the perfect "pink fruity" accents I was looking for; the Brown Sugar (TPA) and Toasted Marshmallow (FW) give it that caramelized spun sugar I was after; the high amount of Marshmallow (SSA) with a touch of Vanilla Extract (Flavorah) gives it that nice, thick, fluffy, mouthfeel with a hints of vanilla; the slight touch of Super Sweet (Cap) and Sour (TPA) frame the overall flavor nicely; and the 9% Cotton Candy (10% Ethyl Maltol) (TPA) is the keystone that gives it a wonderfully dense, accurate cotton candy flavor.

Hey mike, can you update in a week or two? from my experience a cotton candy going this high will mute everything else and get very stale after a couple of weeks. Thanks

Yes, I will keep updating.
I haven't had a fading or muting problem with high cotton candy/Ethyl Maltol myself. I have another recipe called Strawberry Cotton Candy that I made February 1st which has: Strawberry (TPA) 4%, Strawberry, Ripe (TPA) 3%, and Cotton Candy (TPA) 8% and it tastes the same as when I first made it.

Here's the latest update: Saturday 5/23 @noon: The Strawberry (TPA) seems to have actually increased in flavor. If I were to make this again I'd lower the Strawberry (TPA) from 3% to 2.5%. I'm still getting a nice Cotton Candy flavor. However, I will increase the Toasted Marshmallow (FW) next time from 4% to 4.5% to get more of that hot spun sugar taste because that's been the key to this recipe.

Appreciate the detailed updates Mike. I’ve mixed so many cotton cans recipes from ELR for my sister but haven’t found one that even comes close to the commercial CC juices. I’m missing a couple flavors but will mix this as soon as I’m able and I’ll leave you a review!
