(you can sub sweetener TPA for supersweet CAP @ 1.2 - 2.5%)
It's sweet, it's creamy, I got the sugar lips effect from this to, needs 2 weeks steep, but well worth the wait! Enjoy!
Note: thanks to Douglasthebruce for helping me finish this and making it a clone, I was about to leave this recipe and never come back to make it work.
It's pretty nice, very subtle not as strong as the original marshmallow man, I gave it 1hr on a hot plate mixer (70 c) though so it may take longer to steep if you mixing by hand, maybe a week or 2!?
Let me know what you think good or bad, suggestions are more than welcome! It's only my second attempt but I have been mixing a few months now, I'm starting to understand it all a little better now, I know my creams and marshmallow flavours now so it seemed the best thing to try and make!
I'm not sure if it would work as the fa mm has a light and fluffy air sort of thing going on... I suppose there would be no harm in trying it though☺ if you do report back how it goes, the fa mm is one of if not the best mm around and I would say get your self a bottle! You won't regret it!!
Ok please do! I welcome your feedback, I love to make juice and I love to hear that ppl like/dislike mine and others juices, I have made others juices before from others mixers, it my turn to give back the knowledge to the vape community, i hope you like it!!
Finally i mix this yesterday with (cap) mm(until fa comes)so
after a good mixing with frother i place the botlle in a crock pot for one hour shaking every quarter with the top cap off.overnight stepping and now i fill my billow.....dual clapton .3 ohms 60 w and...
wtf man!!! ITS DELICIOUS!!! So creamy and sweet.i feel the sweetness to my lips! cant imagine whats its turn out after some days.
i try this with max vg 3mg nic and i have to say that needs high watts to feel the taste.
Thanks alot my friend 4sharing this f@@@@ING juice.5 stars.
Lol thanks guys, I was thinking it needed a slight tweak don't get me wrong it's nice! But I'm going to make a version 2 that's more marshmallowy, I will leave this one as is because everyone I know loves it ☺on a separate note I also love the bronuts flavour from diy or die, have you guys have tried that yet? Its on my list on here
hi bolds I mixed this up and had a bottle of the original at the side felt like it had something missing added 0.2 cap cake batter and wow I think it as near a perfect match as your gonna get so I think you got yourself a clone buddy well done its wicked
Thanks Douglas, I will try the cake batter as I just brought some ☺glad you liked it! It's something I worked on for a while just wasn't sure what was missing, if I like the cake batter version I will update the recipe and give you some credit in the description 😉
hope you like it I feel it has given it the same smell and colour I only added 0.2ml which was enough and now I just cant get enough lol
who would have though in 2016 we would be addited to marshmallow vape
Just mixed some with the cake batter cap in and it's spot on, thats definitely what was missing, Douglas you are a legend! I was saying like a day before to my friends that I had enough of working on it lol so thanks for letting me know because it's been such a struggle to get the missing ingredient!
hey man glad I could help and I'm glad I found your post cause u had it so close. was using cake batter in a couple of recipes and when I had the original just new by the smell if you no what I mean not been mixing long only a month but somehow I just new it was that
thanks for the credits I'm trying to nail rocketman at the minute but its so hard between getting the muffin bang on which I can but not enough blueberry and when I up the blueberry it kills the muffin lol its a fine line here
No problem I think you deserved it! My friend loves rocket man but I'm not really a fan, however I have worked with blueberry and tried to make a blueberry muffin in the past, I had the same problem! Blueberry seems to kill everything, I have tried it with custards, cake, muffin, donut.. You name it... I did find that adding 0.17% of bilberry Fa to your blueberry recipe and then toning down the blueberry gives a much better outcome.
Thanks, It's been a long road to get it to this point! but it's one of them recipes I (and I'm sure a few other ppl lol) just keep coming back to, hope you enjoy let me know what you think, I think it's actually the same if not better than the original!
I made an account just to comment here. The original is by far my favorite juice. All I need to do is get three more flavors and a scale (GF just broke mine) and I'm making this recipe...CAN NOT WAIT!!!! I will comment back when I have it made!
Thanks guys! Glad you liked it, This is also one of my favourite recipes, I've been vaping it so much can't get enough, lots of ppl that have tried it love it to
Hi Binsu, short answer, yes, long answer, I found that if I was to reduce either of the marshmallow flavouring then it would reduced the flavour and taste rather bland, each marshmallow is different in flavour and body and they support each other along with cake batter, it's important to use all the flavours listed as it's a fine balance.
Mixed this up - had to sub a couple of things but as a baseline I can tell your recipe will taste great. I'll post my subs and results after I vape it (steeping now). and yes @bolds, bronuts is the shizzle!!! I love it :)
@Cloudgirl get the other ingredients to make the original you won't regret it! I have sadly gone off bronuts! Think its because (dare I say it) I have been vaping better things lol, I have been trying to make a better donut flavoured recipe, its been a long road but watch this space haha
im having a hard time getting the right measurements with this recipe. can someone help me convert this % volumes into 100ml mixture. please, im dying to try this on :(
@brianj if you are making 100ml then just use the percentages and change it to ml, 100% = 100ml, so 0.33% of acetyl pyrazine is 0.33ml. I always do 100ml batches of everything as it is so easy to swap the percentages for mls
@bolds the sweetener looks high could i bring that down to 2% and add caps marshmallow at 2% or will it not be sweet enough or split the sucralose in half and add EM for the other half
Hi anonymous, imo the sweetener is important to keep it like the original, but if you don't like sweet vapes then it's up to you really if you want dull it down, when I was making this originally I tried it with less sweetener and found it to be a bit lacking without it, I do think it makes the flavours pop.
@bolds good recipe smooth on the inhale and exhale , i think im going to add , biscuit , cookie or graham cracker bc its the same taste inhale and exhale i know it will change the recipe but im a sucker for those flavors on the exhale great recipe though ty
More strawberry than the original but it works, this is yummy! @anonymous post #52 did you try this with biscuit or graham cracker? Curious how that came out, sounds like it could be a good variation...
Aesome recipe @bolds i have tried it in rdas and a few tanks (tfv4, melo 2, steam crave aromamizer, zephyrus ) and i think this is definitely an rda vape, it brings out all the flavours and sweetness amazingly! I currently have it in a velocity with dual claptons and my twisted messes rda with fused claptons, it tastes fantastic in both but i think the velocity just beats it to the post. It tastes a bit muted in the tanks unfortunately so dripping is the way to go with this imo! I mixed it with pure vg and 0.2 nic. Have made up 400ml so far lol this is my new adv, my custards have taken the bench lol
@VapinRabbit i have not , i have actually been waiting for the fa marshmallow , so i could make this how @ bolds did but i will be mixing tonight and will attempt adding each to separate mixes i will get back , i was actually thinking of starting with 1% any other suggestions would be great i always start at 1% but im worried it may come off to strong because of the existing recipe
@ anonymous, just up the sugar cookie cap I reduced it because it tasted to grainy at 0.5% more, and I wanted it to taste like the real thing, you could always try a touch of fa cookie or fw yellow cake could be a nice one to add, maybe at 1% I might not spoil the marshmallow flavour but just add to it?! And I'm glad you guys liked it was pretty hard to do, might have to mix my self a batch of this not had non in a few months now....
1st off @Bolds amazing recipe! Great job. Looking forward to your others. Keep it up!
2nd @everymixologistpro... mix with what he has published. If you don't like it, change it and publish your new recipe. Bold recipe works, if you can do better, publish it. I get so tiring reading through so many do this change this. Everybody tastes are different. If you don't like this just move on please.
i dont think anyone is saying his recipe doesnt work , and if you dont like reading comments move on yourself , some people are asking him suggestions bc they might not have the flavor. others are making general comments period and frankly if i change something small in his recipe why would i publish it bc i added some graham cracker to it , also alot of people welcome feed back if @bolds is taking offense to anyones comments im sure he is grown enough to say something ,
1st off if you change something it becomes a new recipe. That's why you see so many with a adapted link at the bottom. 2nd there is a button at the top lable "what can I make", if people created their flavor dAta base it should eliminate many questions about subbing this and subbing that. I'm sure it took him a long time and a lot of work to come up with what they did. I'd just like to see most comments saying thank you in steady of, I don't have this, sweetener too high can I add this. To me it's just kinda disrespectful.
@ Griffin, I haven't used cap/Tfa vbic before so Im not sure if they are the same, and cap cake batter is one of the main ingredients in this recipe, I don't know of anything you could sub it for
@ Gucci, maybe you should contact a mod to let them know there is a problem, it could be affecting alot of ppl who use this feature!
I'll have to try both mate and make 2 bottles up, I ordered more concentrates yesterday, Cake Batter arrived today so ready to go but misread what brand the VBIC was and thought it was TFA not FW (too many whiskys!!) I'll have to get some this week :-)
I can't say how much difference it makes, but I subbed TFA VBIC in my first two batches and it was great. I mixed my first batch with FW VBIC just last night after receiving it.
Few days steeped now with the Cap & TFA VBIC. Can't put it down!!! Tastes slightly better with the TFA VBIC but Cap's still nice. Finally got some FW VBIC on order so should be here Thursday, looking forward to trying this out :-)
I never comment. Been making and mixing my own supply for going on 4yrs. Here and there I'll feel frisky and try a new recipe when I am mixing up my other juices that are in my rotation.
I thoroughly enjoy your recipe. VERY nicely done and I've adapted this or that for fun after blasting thru a 240ml of your recipe...I have finally been able to get closer to an actual lucky charm marshmallow sugar vape from your recipe so mad props... Good job!
This recipe with CAP v.b.ice cream is not as good it is with FW v.b.I.c...
I strictly use FW v.b.I.c for the "ice cream" over CAP and TFA..... it just carries that soft thick feel without any awkward side note that I may pick up on whenever I used cap or TFA.
On a hunch, I'm going to guess that the "sugar lips" effect you are getting is because you are using 4% sucralose, which is wayyyy too much imo. 1% was almost too much for me, working with flavors that weren't already sweet.... Every single flavor in this recipe is plenty sweet on its own. This stuff would probably gunk my coils up in no time, I will pass.
@ejexe, Your hunch is correct, however it also brings most of the flavours alive or as some say "pop", it does gunk coils up but I'm not concerned about it as this is a pretty awesome recipe! If you didn't mix the original recipe then you perhaps didn't experience what everyone else has commented, but by the sounds of it your not a fan of sweet recipes so it would possibly be pointless to try it...
This recipe is definitely a dripper recipe IMO and not a tank recipe, i have tried it in most of my tanks, everything from tfv4s to zephyrus to crius obs, and then i tried it in my drippers like the velocities, the Yep clone, mutations etc. This recipe is awesome in drippers, you get all the sweetness which i love and the flavours seperate sooo well it is fantastic! I believe it works best in my Yep clone with dual 24awg claptons, non spaced, 6 wraps, comes to about 0.75ohms and is heaven in an rda! For anyone who has made this and is thinking they don't like it then try it in a dripper with decent coils and airflw and you shouldn't be disappointed at all.
P.S. i make all of my recipes as max vg and 0.3mg nic or lower!
I wanted to like this
I did sub cap marshmallow for the TPA so maybe that was part of the problem ..the other was definitely the Sweetner ..is that a super lot of Sweetner or am I just sensitive to it because holy heavens that all I taste literally.... 30 mil down the drain but I'm obviously not the majority here just figured I'd chime in but I would never lower anyone's rating based on my personal taste so no worries there .. Mix on my man / or woman ;p
3 weeks steep tried it on my twisted messes 2 and it's holy crap it's sweet as hell, for me that's not a dripper jucie at all, will try it on my XL and see what happens, thanks though for the recipe
The original marshmallow man is a 'commercial juice' more than a diy juice, and I must admit it's very sweet! Almost to the point where I'm like wow thats not a ADV, good for a morning or evening after dinner vape maybe instead of pudding.
Very bland imo
I will try adding 1% flavorah chocolate deutsch to enhance things I think.
Thanks for the recipe but as it stands there is no wow factor for me.
Five stars for this. No question, this is the best diy recipe I've ever tasted. I made 60ml straight off, yesterday night, keeping every element exactly as stated in the recipe, as I sensed it would be good.
Heat cured 15ml of it in hot tap water for an hour or so, and shook the hell out of it, as I was impatient and holy sh*t! Hands down the best stuff I've vaped since I stopped buying premium juice. So close, if not better, than the original stuff, at a fraction of the cost. I've already finished the first 15ml in half a day, and can't wait for the rest to steep.
I'm pretty new to diy, but I've tried most of the highest rated recipes on here already, and this is the best of the lot. I know it might not be to everyone's taste, but it definitely works for me (even the sucralose). The creator(s) deserves some kinda medal.. I'm gonna make another 120ml of this tonight, as I'm sure the 60ml will be gone by the end of the week. Thank you, @bolds and @douglasthebruce!
It all depends what you are vaping with, this recipe is more flavourful on a dripper with a decent set of Claptons (0.2ohm) at 80 watt, the flavour at that level is ridiculous! Alot of recipes benefit from being vaped on different coils, If you are vaping on a tank you probably won't be getting what most people do from this, it also depends on a persons pallet (taste) most recipes don't suite everyone or we would probably be all on the same flavour, you could always try uping the cake batter slightly and maybe the strawberry? A miner tweak can make all the difference and them 2 flavours are the supporting flavours, did you follow the recipe exactly? Did you sub anything?
I did the recipe exactly
I vape on the herakles rta2 at 90 watts with fused claptons all day.
As you say taste is very subjective and unfortunately this is tasteless for me.
Ive added some chocolate deutsch and left it for a week so I'll report back soon on that.
I'm not sure that would work, but I've been wrong before! If it doesn't and you still want that flavour I would perhaps try extra on these, cake batter at 0.85%, strawberry at 1.2%, vbic at 2.5% and perhaps up the marshmallows to 4%
Sorry
I've given up on the original recipe as I've realised it's not a profile that suits me. Adding chocolate deutsch I think will turn it towards something tasty though. Flavorah chocolate deutsch is good like that.
Just wow. This is a mindboggling recipe. Have vaped 200mls of this juice in last month and still cant get enough of it. Although i made a few changes. Subbed bavarian cream and sweet cream with flavour west versions, skipped AP and added mixed nuts FA. Havent tried the original but this made me fall in love with you...haha
Btw, its best after a 2 weeks steep
Made this with Capella marshmallow alone as I had to order the FA and only had a little TPA marshmallow and I can see the potential. Nice vape can't wait to try the recipe exactly as listed. Thx for the great vape
I like how the people are saying 4% sweetener is too much and blah blah blah.. they apparently never had the original.
I mixed this up on 10/26... so about 5 weeks ago and straight off its not tasty, after a week it's a little better.. after 4 weeks it's on point. Great recipe man. Thanks for sharing.
When I first made this I didn't have fa marshmallow so I subbed it for whipped cream fa. And it was great when I got my fa marsh and made this it just wasn't the same so I now make it with half whipped cream and half fa marsh give it a try u might like it. Kinda give it a litter more fluffy sweet if that's a thing lmao. Alot of my friends that tried I says it's way better than the original.thanks for the recipe. One on my only 2 adv. This and boss reserve clone. And once in a while I make the crispy treats ethos brand clone.
great recipe! i used sugar cookie v2 and it doesn't make a difference in this recipe i think ;) i also added 1% sucralose instead of 4%, 1% EM and also 10 drops strawberry ripe and 10 drops sweet strawberry cap (for 20ml bottle), shake it well,15 minutes in hot water and it's ready to vape imo :) with that strawberries it's just nice, rich, creamy marshamallow with strawberry aftertaste!
I'm new to mixing. I Really want a Marshmallow juice, but only have FW Cake Batter. I'm not one to sub a flavor because I think that the creator chose that flavor for a reason. I can't wait to get CAP Cake Batter.
@cincinnatiking I wouldn't be too excited about cap cake batter. It sucks really bad. Don't plan on it tasting like cake batter... more like straight chemicals. Look at diyordie's flavor notes if you think I'm wrong.
@ billywilly, your right it doesn't taste like cake batter, however at low percentage it can play a part in creating some interesting recipes, I don't always agree on Wayne's taste perception, I think his raspberry macaroon recipe sucks, I must have a different pallet to him who knows?! but everyone has a different taste perception, I think cake batter cap make this recipe what it is, I haven't tried FW cake batter so I can't compare them.
This is a fantastic recipe! I mixed this up, let it sit in a dark cupboard for a week. I just tried it today and can't stop vaping it! Excellent! Definitely making a BIG bottle of this one. Nice job!
You could probably get away with using a much smaller amount of sweetener with just as much sweet with cap super sweet.. I'm sure 1% would be sweeter than 4% of tpa's sweetener. I made this a while back and it was good, but I may revisit it with the use of cap super sweet
@ Cap'nClouds and RaGCaR , Ive mixed 2 slightly different versions of this recipe substituting the FA Marshmallow (and CAP SugarCookie with CAP SugarCookie V2). First 1 I used TPA Toasted Marshmallow in its place at same % and 2nd time I just used all TPA Marshmallow.
Both turned out to be great vapes after 3-4 weeks steep so Id say just Go With What You Got! :D However as soon as I can get hold of some of the Flavour Arts (FA) Marshmallow I will be trying this recipe as intended because some ppl do say it is quite different from all the other marshmallows and better tasting :)
@BillyWilly you right about the supersweet! 1.2%-1.5% supersweet CAP should give you the equivalent to 4% sweetener TPA, also would probably be better on your coils?! @ cincinnatiking AP gives a grainy taste at low %
Very light and sweet. I'm on the keto diet and was craving marshmallows and this certainly fixed it. After tonight I'll tuck it away and let it steep. Great work!
This recipe is nice, not tried the original and not sure about dripper, not tried it in an RDA yet, although I'm sure it will taste the same, I'm using stock V8-T8 at 120w and wow, getting the pink and the white ones and a tiny bit of toasted marshmallow, oh yeah and sugar lips, delicious, thanks!
Hey @Jooshwa that would be a no for me anyway, I always mix recipes to their exact ingredients at least for the first time & I'm sure the AP is what is giving the slight hint of toasted marshmallow, so personally I wouldn't leave it out, in my humble opinion it adds to the flavour of this vape.
FYI - If you use TFA Marshmallow, just remember it has Diketones in it! It is the ONLY marshmallow that has diketones in it. The FA Marshmallow is Very Good, so I use it often in other recipes. I personally do not have a problem with diketones, b/c there is more in One cigarette than in your whole 30ml bottle of liquid ! Besides, it is suspended in liquid. The problem with "popcorn lung" came from breathing in powdered, dust like particles of diacetyl for many years!
made exact and steeped 9 days. testing beside the original marshmallow man i taste almost nothing but CAP cake batter in this and a light strawberry (though im sure that will die off). tastes a lot like CAP vanilla custard v1, though it has none in it. and i taste a bit of spice in this mix for some reason. no chemical or off notes. its a delicious vape just not quite on the mark for my tastes. but im certainly going to down this entire bottle! thanks for your hard work. i feel like rice crunchies has a part to play in this that was not taken advantage of (it would boost the marsh and add the AP needed.
If you'd swap cake batter for vanilla cupcake or yellow cake, would this still be good or does change the profile too much? I'm not really looking for an exact clone, just a good marshmallow vape.
I made this replacing cake batter by Yellow Cake (FW) at same % and Super Sweet (1%) instead of 4% sweetener. If you don't let it steep for 2 weeks (I did 3), you get a strong alcohol smell and taste. It disappears completely though.
I find this juice really comes out at higher temperatures/power vaping. At low power you get that marshmallow mouth feel, but little flavor. Once you crank open the power, you do get that sugar lips sensation with a well rounded marshmallow flavor and a hint of strawberry in the background. Very nice recipe and well balanced. Thanks for sharing!
I decided to try this, and do it EXACTLY as built, as it seems pointless to sub things, then get wrapped up into endless what if's or sub sub sub's. Despite having 4% sweetener I mixed it anyway. After a solid 2 weeks, I have to say this one is pretty damned good. I'm actually surprised. Now that I've tried it as it was intended, I might drop the suc to see how it fares, but as listed, it's pretty damn good. Never had MMMan so cannot compare/contrast it, but I don't need to, stands on it's own IMO. I agree with a few above wherein there was an innate fear of using Cap Cake Batter as it DOES taste and smell like burnt tires and a$$holes out of the bottle, but at 0.6% I can't even tell it's there, but I know it's ADDING something to the mix. Hats off to Bolds FM mixologist for making this one work, and work well.
I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to try this, just mix it as he built it, no subs, no tinkering, just let it ride the way he meant it to be vaped, and see what you think. If after 2 weeks steeping, and mixing it as he wrote it you don't like it, THEN you can start subbing.
Great mix, and I can't believe I'm saying that with 4% suc.
Followed the recipe exactly.
Steeped for 4 weeks. Tried RDA and Tank at different settings over period of 1 week.
Never tried the original, but disappointed with this recipe.
Very weak flavor.
Thanks so much for this recipe! I'm new to DIY and had almost everything to make this - I love Marshmallow Man so I figured I would give it a shot with a few alterations:
I omitted the Strawberry and only used 1% SuperSweet for my sweetener (instead of 4%) and increased the Cake Batter from .6% to 2.6% (I used Capella v2 Cake Batter) and added 1% FA Meringue. I only used 1 drop of Acetyl Pyrazineper 10mls.
After one week it's amazing. Super sticky sweet, and if you ever tried a juice brand called The Real, it tastes exactly like their New York Cheesecake flavor. Added to my recipe bible forever and I'm about to go make my second batch now. If you ever feel like trying my variation I would love to know what you think! Thanks again so much for this!
I had to take a star off the rating because it doesn't age well. I've had this juice after 4 or 5 months and it really became a chemical mess. I couldn't tell anymore that its main flavor was marshmallow, just some sweet stuff with a very chemical aftertaste. I think there's just too much maltol/ethyl maltol.
If you vape this within the first 2 months, it's a good vape though but even then I'd cut down a bit on the sweetness.
lots of interesting comments; I know I'll have to sub some flavours, so I'll post them here after tasting in order to add to ideas for successful subs. Thanks!
interesting juice! this exactly tastes like a plain, pink marshmallow with a very very light hint of strawberry. The mouthfeel after exhaling is just as after you chewed and swallowed a marshmallow. I get a "sandy" and buttery taste as well.
It's not too sweet as someone else said but.. it's a bit too plain. The taste is very light and subtle, just the same as a marshmallow.
not my favourite but this juice is on point. If you want a marshmallow vape, this is it
After 2 weeks this is delicious. I did not have fw VBIC so i subbed in 50/50 TFA/CAP VBIC so not sure how close it is to your original but I love it. Thanks!
Going to whip this up today, Not sure how i didn't have FA Marshmallow,
but have it now look forward to trying this as i have a bottle of the original to try them side by side. Thank You very much for sharing your recipe. I will mix it exactly as is before i play around with it and comment and rate.
