Notes
Comforting crumbly buttery vanilla Scottish shortbread, great as a stand alone or as a base for fruits, creams and all sorts of other flavours.

I enjoy this fresh but if you find INW Biscuit too raw the mix really starts to settle after three days getting richer as it ages.

CAP Sugar Cookie and INW Biscuit - they are great cookie bases that pack a punch. Together they work well at mimicking a proper butter shortbread.

AP brings forward the grain of the mix, adding just the right amount of bite and the CAP V.Custard (v.1) keeps the mix from being too dry on the pallet giving that overall buttery feel.

INW Vanilla Shisha added for its inherent bakery notes and general vanilla decadence.

One word - lush
#4 by furble, Jul 26. 2016, 19:39
Made it with cap vanilla custard v2, and after a 4 week steep it's lush!!
#5 by Mich86, Jul 29. 2016, 19:17
Very nice one , ADV for me atm :)
#6 by andi53, Oct 14. 2016, 19:16
Amazing, a definite adv, love it!
#7 by brandon555, Nov 20. 2016, 00:44
I subbed the Shisha Vanilla with 1.5% Cap Yellow Cake and .5% Butter Cream and it seems to work okay so far after just a quick shake and 30 min hot water bath.
#8 by SimonD, Dec 8. 2016, 23:52
This is a lovely Vape. Creamy , vanilla , buttery , sweet biscuit. Thanks for sharing :)
#9 by Zugmaschine, Dec 9. 2016, 12:25
Have only sub the Vanillla, to Vanilla FA 1,5%, because i like Vanilla very much in vape.
12 Days steep and it was good enough to vape! Have still 10ml of 30ml batch. Very Yummi! TADV(Temporäry-ADV) Last weekend i made a 2nd 50ml batch again with Vanilla FA 1,5%!
Let it steep a little longer this time!
But i will also test it with Vanilla Shisha (INAWERA)
Thanks for that Composition @VHM

Amazing. genius even.
#13 by bootyfool, Dec 18. 2016, 14:52
I absolutely love this. It's lush on its own and is so versatile for other mixes.
#14 by phill83, Dec 18. 2016, 15:35
would vanilla swirl be ok instead of shisha?
#15 by cloud 9, Dec 18. 2016, 15:45
Ella's Shortbread Biscuit is the best out of all the VHM one shots that i have tryed
#16 by VapeBug, Dec 18. 2016, 17:23
Hi @phill83 think vanilla swirl could work but might not have quite the vanilla punch of the original...It should go well though, possibly make the whole mix lighter and more like a Viennese biscuit instead of a stodgy shortbread (y). I'm tempted to try it myself too, upping the VS to 2% to try and get something "fluffier"!
#17 by mattyboy, Dec 18. 2016, 22:12
Mixed this up last week just tried a cheeky drop, and wow out of this world
#18 by Fallacious Fog , Dec 20. 2016, 01:50
Followed recipes. Wanted to mix 100mls of it only had 3.2mls sugar cookie. So I added .5% FA cookie and the rest as per. 8%pdo added. Max VG. Will let you know
#19 by JohnnyBigodes, Dec 21. 2016, 13:50
Could i mix this with holy vanilla instead of shisha vanilla?
#20 by jsolua, Dec 22. 2016, 08:40
Any idea on what to sub the Acetyl Pyrazine with? I have everything but this.
#21 by 4 rings of fury, Dec 26. 2016, 01:20
A-mazing base. Add your preferred ratio of sb's into this and u have a tripe thy blow the crap out of the sb shortbread cookie recipe that's so overrated here. This is what that recipe should've been. Thanks a lot!!🍺
#22 by Sylvie lola, Dec 26. 2016, 02:47
Waiting my order to try it alone and one with a very light hint of cofee :)
#23 by Polar, Dec 27. 2016, 14:21
Adapted since I did not have INW Vanilla Shisha. Turned out amazing... Use a little more cookie though.

Acetyl Pyrazine 5 PG (TFA) 0.5%
Biscuit (INW) 2%
Sugar Cookie V2 (CAP) 5%
Vanilla Custard V1 (CAP) 2%
Vanilla Swirl (TFA) 3%
#24 by core, Dec 28. 2016, 20:53
This juice smells fantastic on day 3. Good strong golden color too. I haven't vaped this yet, but it definitely wasn't ready on day 2 - taste testing the raw liquid was bitter and off. That seems to have completely gone away now, and it's nice, sweet and seems on point with its description. The smell is definitely alluring.
#25 by gucciman, Jan 1. 2017, 00:42
I think I'm going to make this with CAP harvest berry and see what I get.
#26 by The_Ckemist, Jan 2. 2017, 12:28
Had to sub vanilla too holy vanilla, holy vanilla is very good in just about everything lol, so I'm sure it will work in this ha
#27 by Gaspar74, Jan 6. 2017, 18:27
This is pretty good. I added blueberry extra andcwild. Yummy blueberry biscuit or cake
#28 by Ron the Don, Jan 8. 2017, 22:19
For those who are adding fruit flavour; at what percentage would you recommend for either TPA Strawberry ripe or TPA Blueberry wild? Please
#29 by Criss Trees, Jan 10. 2017, 19:22
Amazing recipe, My breakfast juice
I added about 4.5% strawberry ripe TFA
made a 20ml patch to test and its started weak but on day 4 steep all flavors blinded in like dam, day 8 now and looking nice smelling good am about to make another

Thanx for sharing VHM, description is off the hook left nothing a chance ;D
#30 by Debbiej, Jan 12. 2017, 18:02
Made this 12/10/16. Tried it after two weeks. Then after a month BAM.............it's a great recipe. Was disappointed with the first try, but after week 4 it blended into a very good buttery shortbread. It's a shortbread more than a cookie, it has substance, more so than custard vapes. Very good with coffee in the morning.
#31 by Hein_builds, Jan 14. 2017, 11:46
can i replace the Vanilla Shisha with Cap French Vanilla?
#32 by Kickthejamz, Jan 16. 2017, 01:18
Can I use biscuit concentrate (INW) in place of biscuit?
#33 by Polar, Jan 16. 2017, 02:33
Yup, Kick the Jamz... Biscuit Concentrate and biscuit is the same thing.
#34 by Kickthejamz, Jan 21. 2017, 03:47
Thanks Polar I ordered the ingredients and made my first batch and I must say this is already one of my favorites even just off shakenvape it was delicious and I'm sure it will get better thanks VHM.
#35 by Polar, Jan 21. 2017, 03:59
Its a winner... Not overly flavourful, very subtle desert. This is in my permanent rotation.

#38 by Ryno, Jan 30. 2017, 02:03
yea this recipe has turned out excellent.
#39 by shrovetuesday, Feb 3. 2017, 13:38
I used the one shot. It's good and definitely gets better with age. Having just polished off a big tin of M&S shortbread, I did expect a little more when I first mixed this. I thought it tasted too much like another vanilla custard iteration, like a custard cream biscuit. At times it's a bit cloying and others it's very buttery and light. I will mix up my own at some point with less-suspect ingredients and up the biscuit (it's lacking that crisp/savoury edge IMO). From the rave reviews I thought this was the holy grail of biscuit vapes lol. It's very nice, smooth, great balance and a great base recipe to tweak, just not quite what I expected. Nice work Ella and the VHM gang.
#40 by ThourSey, Feb 13. 2017, 13:33
Has anyone tried this with French vanilla instead ?

I'm mixing it to try out anyway, just wanted to know if anybody had some success with this sub or not.
Thanks
#41 by The_Ckemist, Feb 16. 2017, 00:43
Don't own Shisha vanilla, so going to use holly vanilla by FS, recon it will be golden too ha
#42 by LeeDavid , Feb 17. 2017, 09:31
Excellent base. Added 1% TPA Vanilla Swirl, 1% CAP French Vanilla & 2% CAP Sweet Cream. Plus 0.25% Sweetener TPA five star
#43 by Blues , Feb 26. 2017, 09:57
Thanks for sharing.. I'm out of shisha but I do have Inawera Wanilla which IMO is really good and very close to the shisha. I'm going to try it with wanilla and see.. for those of you who have never tried their wanilla "vanilla" I suggest to give it a whirl its smooth and light just as the shisha...
#44 by VapeBug, Feb 27. 2017, 21:21
Thanks @Blues I've added it to my next order list.
#45 by Alcheval, Mar 3. 2017, 14:18
I've got to say that 6 weeks steep and this absolutely shines. Fantastic vape and one of the most satisfying vapes that doesn't become sickly or 'tired'. Thanks for sharing this - it is much appreciated.
#46 by Wazzam, Mar 10. 2017, 16:06
i used vanilla swirl instead of the vanilla shisha and it's still amazing! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
#47 by sd340068, Mar 12. 2017, 17:01
Hasn't anyone thought it's not quite as buttery as it could be? I've just polished off a bottle of trips butter shortbread and the flavours are so different. Wondered if anyone has added some golden butter or something to it?
#48 by coop34, Apr 4. 2017, 03:20
WOW this is good! Thanks for sharing!
#49 by Blues , Apr 11. 2017, 07:41
Tried this with 2% INW Wanilla (vanilla) and its grrrreat !! If you're really looking to "butter" this up add a little butterscotch or your favorite toffee and WoW 😳!! This is just a tried and true fave and I thank @VHM for sharing !!!
#50 by frogy, Apr 13. 2017, 06:28
Wow sooo good even fresh for me! Very excited to see it in a few days and a few weeks. Thank you! Could add all kinds of things to change it to a fruit flavored or creamy cookie. I might try FW Hazelnut at 1-2%.
#51 by Blues , Apr 18. 2017, 09:22
Finally got more Vanilla Shisha and I got to admit this recipe reallly shines with the shisha vanilla.. currently my new ADV. who would've thunk it LoL !!!
#52 by Jeff223, Apr 25. 2017, 21:25
Great recipe but the vanilla really pulls through after 2 weeks and almost over powers the other flavors.
#53 by SimonD, May 5. 2017, 20:49
This is a lovely vape. Either on its own or used as a base. I mix it with 3% strawberry ripe or 3% caramel original. It needs a couple of weeks to steep though. Thanks for the recipe :)
#54 by Justwurz, May 12. 2017, 06:08
Mixed a bit up as a tester, gave it a few weeks steep, it's a really nice mix. Great as a stand alone but also looking to adding some fruit.
#55 by 8062282, May 14. 2017, 21:05
Subbed the Vanilla Shisha with 2% Vanilla Swirl (TPA) & after 3 months I had my 1st tank. Well worth the wait. Thanks..
#56 by Ianakievamaria, May 15. 2017, 09:04
Really nice recipe. Added a touch of strawberry shisha inawera and turned up awesome.
#57 by bhawks, May 18. 2017, 16:23

#60 by cincinnatiking, Jun 2. 2017, 12:47
After mixing ID10T's Simply Sugar Cookie recipe I have been cautious of Caps Sugar Cookie. I got a really harsh taste from it in that recipe. He used Sugar Cookie at 8%. Do you think that is too high, and is what led to it being harsh? Or is this just one of those types of flavors?
#61 by VapeBug, Jun 2. 2017, 20:32
@cincinnatiking I do like CAP Sugar Cookie but it does have a harsh/chemical note if you go too high or if the mix isn't steeped. With shortbread I find everything has settled after three days (for my taste) but others prefer to steep it longer (2-4 weeks). I'd give this mix a go if you can and preserver with CAP SC as it is a really great concentrate to use in lots of mixes.
#62 by alleyoopsy, Jun 8. 2017, 20:13
Gone through 130ml of this, dont have Acetyl Pyrazine so mixed without. Amazing liquid, one of my all time favourites, diy or otherwise. Highly recommended.
#63 by Maisiebess, Jun 19. 2017, 15:45
Has anyone found this a bit "weak" i love this recipe but always wish it was a bit stronger, honestly, i have made 700mls of this recipe but want to try to make it a stronger vape so if anyine has any suggestions, i would be thrilled 😊
#64 by drix, Jun 20. 2017, 08:15
Mix this with 40/60 PG/VG, subbed the INW Vanilla with TFA Vanilla Swirl @ 2%. will report back after a week or so... thank for sharing the recipe.
#65 by adam2343, Jun 21. 2017, 12:57
Wish i had vanilla shisha and aceyle pyrazine to make this lol
#66 by Fochops, Jun 23. 2017, 03:35
I made this without the vanilla shisha, used vanilla swirl instead. The first batch was awesome! Second batch I added strawberry ripe and wow! This is a great base! Thank you
#67 by craggle58, Jun 24. 2017, 19:36
Swapped Vanilla Shisha with TPA Vanilla Swirl. Steeped three weeks. Very good on its own. Probably more interesting with a twist. Trying a touch of peanut butter and will report back.
#68 by ja55on, Jun 30. 2017, 13:35
Anyone steeped this for any substantial time.. I'm adding it to my 6 week rotation.. Just I noticed its been said to be a s&v or just a couple of days..?
#69 by Fochops, Jun 30. 2017, 16:50
ja55on I have made this several times now. I can say that it blends much better with time and the vanilla seems to be better after at least a couple of days. Is it good as a shake and Vape? Absolutely, would it be even better if we could make it and forget about it for a month? Most certainly!
#70 by Jibby, Jun 30. 2017, 23:45
I have never vaped this as a s&v always waited a minimum of 4 weeks and is still up there with the best!
#71 by ja55on, Jun 30. 2017, 23:53
excellent, thanks guys. i will check back in, in 6 weeks.
#72 by Shane, Jul 5. 2017, 15:26

I love this recipe, tastes rich and buttery just like shortbread! If your not a fan of savory flavors I would avoid this but thanks for an amazing recipe, something I love about this is how its not overpowering and the recipie shows great restraint when using flavourings, Betamax (Ella Robinson) really know what she is doing. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Fucking stunning. Love this shit. Bravo!

Thanks so much! This a great base and I also keep a bottle when mixed for snv... love it ! Steeped only gets better!Just mix it you won't be sorry🙂
#83 by Boston, Aug 1. 2017, 23:08
Very very confused about all the hype with this one. It's just ok at best.
#84 by deb , Aug 2. 2017, 01:13
all taste buds are different ....I have some of the best reviewed juice from a great company...and it was "ok" at best...so yeah we all taste things differently.....I personally think this recipe is excellent ..alone and as a base...jmho.. :)

Thank you! This is just awesome.
#86 by Duke, Aug 17. 2017, 21:29
Having trouble finding Sugar Cookie CAP v1 Im assuming this is the v1 but I only got the v2 would it be worth using the v2 or just wait till I get the v1 from somewhere :(?
#87 by Shane, Aug 17. 2017, 22:35
Hi @Duke yep a lot of places are just selling the v2 now, which is annoying, anyway if your in the U.K. You can get it from here https://www.justvape247.com/sugar-cookie-capella-12724-p.asp
#88 by Chapel, Aug 18. 2017, 22:26
Delicious after 4 days! Subbed out v1 for V2, and it worked beautifully. Thank you for the great recipe!
#89 by Sedstyle, Aug 19. 2017, 12:29
Perfect all day ! Thanks !
#90 by Pro_Vapes, Aug 19. 2017, 21:01
I must be missing something here. I here talk of crunchy buttery cookie and I'm getting neither. I tastes more like a dough-y lemon lard. I just don't get any butter and the cookie is far off base for my taste.
#91 by Boston, Aug 20. 2017, 06:48
I agree! This stuff is incredibly overrated. Not getting the hype at all.
#92 by HM61, Aug 21. 2017, 02:14

#93 by deb , Aug 23. 2017, 20:06

#98 by 420vapekingxD, Sep 5. 2017, 22:12
Anyone try adding strawberry ripe into this recipe? Im thinking 6-8% maybe 1% tfa strawberry
#99 by Dan Dan Dan, Sep 12. 2017, 10:16
what are you guys using to make snickerdoodle out of this? What percents have you tried?
#100 by deb , Sep 14. 2017, 05:12
I used 2%FA cinn sugar cookie and 2% caps cinn danish swirl in place of caps sugar cookie..I also played around with more cinn danish swirl...among other cinna roll brands.. and I did add a lil SB ripe and Sb shisha to the original recipe... this is a great base to play with... I'm thinking Pistachio next✌️ Thanks Ella💙
#101 by Jazzy_girl, Sep 17. 2017, 16:58
This recipe is delicious! I added it to my ADVs! I'd also like to know how to make snickerdoodle out of this. Thanks Ella for the recipe!
#102 by DDrama, Sep 17. 2017, 21:06
Hmmm.... not sure what all the hype is. Made this to the T..... 480ml of it, bought all the flavors to jump on the hype train. Just didnt do anything for me, even after steeped. Gave most of it away.Only tried it in genny style ohmega calypso tanks so idk. I had some left over flavorings and making strawberry shortcake with them.
I think its a great base flavoring...very subtle, might be great base for adding fruit flavors.
#103 by Flickstro, Sep 18. 2017, 09:14

#107 by Tasos, Sep 28. 2017, 00:46
Excellent work here!
#108 by melatonin, Sep 30. 2017, 17:34
sugar cookie + biscuit is a good combination. I will try it with FA cookie the next time or maybe i would try mix this recipe with bust-a-nut to get hazelnut cookie :)
#109 by Shane, Sep 30. 2017, 18:33
Just got round to vaping this one, started yesterday and I kinda like it, not too sweet, and a definite short bread taste, I cannot detect the vanilla custard, which is a good thing, so many custard recipes on here it’s nice to see custard used to compliment the profile and not as the main profile, thanks.
#110 by Nasroo, Oct 13. 2017, 09:18
After more than a week, it is still sour type sweet and. Lacking that grain and all heavy mixed up! Does it require more steeping to come out good?
#111 by Skinny, Oct 13. 2017, 19:23
Excellent juice 👍🏼
#112 by Zugmaschine, Oct 15. 2017, 17:50

#113 by dergon, Oct 17. 2017, 18:33

Love this! As is or as a base to work from for other biscuit/cookie recipes. Well done!

#126 by KumariHPX, Nov 12. 2017, 04:43
Delicious! Bet this would be great with nuts amd chocolate. Will try one day. Thank you!

(For others info, I do not have AP and used Vanilla Swirl instead. And it does taste like a not too-sweet cookie but also a lot like Creamy Custard recipe).

I love this

Hi thanks for sharing
I have here three weeks back a batch of 250 ml of created and as described smells after a day or three four beautiful color too and after 2 weeks of steep tank in the kylin tried in one word great
will he longer State to only get better I think
#131 by DamnMyEyes, Jan 5. 2018, 03:12
So good! I really enjoyed it off the shake but it definitely gets richer/fuller after a few days. I'm pretty leery of AP after accidentally using it way too high but I barely notice it here. Initially I subbed the AP for Malt (NF) and the Vanilla Shisha for Vanilla Swirl (tpa). Those substitutes seemed to work quite well, but as soon as I got Vanilla Shisha (inw) I mixed it as published. Excellent work. Thank you!
#132 by Karl, Jan 5. 2018, 15:12
Thanks for sharing this recipe. Personally I expected a shortbread biscuit taste but I don't get it at all, its very bland.
Shame as the reviews are great. I ve tried with strawberry and fruits to give a fruit buscuit but nothing for me works. Thanks again but want to give my honest opinion.

#133 by Mere, Jan 12. 2018, 03:57
Had my eye on this recipe for awhile. Finally ordered the missing ingredients to make it. I love this recipe. Great taste, not too overpowering. The longer I vape, the more I appreciate recipes like this. Just a great, subtle flavor.
#134 by ILUVDIY, Jan 25. 2018, 14:09
I dont think much of it. Unfortunately it is very bland for my taste. Thank you for sharing
#135 by Brew What?, Jan 27. 2018, 17:26
Wasn't for me. Just doesn't hit the spot like I was hoping for from the reviews. Shame.
#136 by Zugmaschine, Feb 6. 2018, 20:10
@Karl U have to give the Mix enough Time to steep!
#137 by Mcclurejacob, Feb 14. 2018, 20:40
I gave this 27 days to steep and I am getting a weird chemical taste :( I wanted to like it
#138 by More2, Mar 2. 2018, 01:13
Hello, can i sub sugar cookie to sugar cookie v2? And vanilla shisha with other flavorings?
#139 by kirstyl88, Mar 16. 2018, 01:45
Ran out of cap v1 so subbed with fa custard premium at same %. Absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing!

Bigtime dissapointed, I feel conned to be honest. I fully appreciate we have different taste buds but come on..... surely not this much difference. There's nothing to this, very very mild indeed. Don't get me wrong, don't taste horrible. Just tastes bloody boring. And yes It's steeped for a long time now (made 4 months ago) tried every month.
If there was the only flavour in extense and haven't tried anything else ever, then I can understand how someone can say they "appreciate it".But until then, I think the lovers raving about it are insane.
#142 by Zugmaschine, Apr 25. 2018, 20:40
@Kevester83 This is mainly a base recipe to add anything what is comming in your head, like fruits for example. See this recipe: e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/890136/Ckemist%20Remix:%20Ella%27s%20Razzy%20Shortbread

@Tetten Rally not! Calipitter is nutty with caramel. Are you sure u are right here with your comment?
#146 by Pete G, May 13. 2018, 23:50
Just fabulous. Tried straight off and was nice but after 3 weeks its just so much better!!
Have separated it into another bottle to leave for another 3 weeks.
#147 by Elites, May 17. 2018, 09:44
Thanks so much for sharing. made and great vape without even steep but now I am patiently waiting :-)
#148 by vlrprbttst, May 23. 2018, 13:33
Not bad but it's too thin and it tastes like a good base, but I'm not enjoying it that much
#149 by EagleEyes, May 27. 2018, 04:03
Great liquid! Made it at 24mg and 60pg/40vg, tastes super freshly made! Curious how it will taste when steeped a bit more! Thanks for sharing! One of my favourite liquids already!
#150 by Eggsaladsandwichhead, May 31. 2018, 20:03
Added 0.5% butter cream for the heck of it. Fabulous juice. Thank you!
#151 by FunnySlumberBunny, Jun 5. 2018, 00:57
Can FA Cookie be subbed for Biscuit? I'm sure it won't be the same but has anyone tried it?
#152 by enginbora, Jun 28. 2018, 18:12
Anyone made this with fuji FA?
#153 by SuperFrog, Jul 13. 2018, 11:32
I see what the profile is trying to be, and I think it does it quite well but it did not work for me as a whole. A bit thin in flavour yet made me cough. Tried it twice, both after a month+ steep, to the same effect. Will try it a third time to finish the tester but I am not really looking forward to it.
#154 by MTLian, Aug 6. 2018, 04:09
After a 3 day steep, this recipe is practically unvapable right now. I'm also getting a strange chemical taste. Actually had to cut my wattage down by 33% because it taste burnt, like dry hit. Will let it steep more to see how it evolves. There seems to be a nice flavor in there but right now it is masked by unpleasant off notes.
#155 by MTLian, Aug 19. 2018, 05:05
After 10-14 days steep, the buttery richness and flavor has come alive and the harshness gone away completely. I'm rarely satisfied with recipes but I don't think I would even touch this one, as it is perfectly balanced after steeping. I believe it's the AP and I've seen it act up in other recipes when the juice is less than 3 days old.
The flavor is so rich that I'm glad it is slightly subdued. More flavor and it would be unbearable for my taste. Not an ADV for me but I can vape through a whole 4-6ml without getting sick of the flavor. Thank you for your contribution
#156 by Bigdaddi, Sep 11. 2018, 16:54
Subbed Vanilla Shisha (Inawera) with bourboun (Vanilla bourbon) (FA) and steeped overnight, and WOW, new all day vape discovered! Can't wait until it's fully steeped! Thanks a lot :)
#157 by DemonizeD, Sep 22. 2018, 14:32
I did this with the same rate. The aroma came very little. Next one will be 15%.
#158 by DemonizeD, Sep 22. 2018, 14:41
@Muhammed Öz aynen kardeş ben de yaptım 0 tat var resmen ya 30 ml yapmıştım neyse sıkıntı yok
#159 by DemonizeD, Sep 29. 2018, 13:22
If you usen't ultrasonic cleaner, min steep time 30 day.
#160 by James Holden , Oct 8. 2018, 17:48
For once I had all the ingredients and made this up yesterday. I’m quite excited to try this as I’ve heard so much about it but I’m going to put it away to steep for a few weeks first. I will come back and rate this once it’s ready. Thank you for sharing your great recipes with us,much appreciated.

#165 by Kaylz, Nov 26. 2018, 20:52
Mixed this up and put it in the steep drawer, I give most bakery mixes a minimum of 4 weeks, pulled it out to try the other day and its absolutely amazing!! Will definitely be mixing more, only made 30ml to try, cheers for a great recipe!! :)
#166 by Panayiotis, Nov 28. 2018, 08:58
excellent
#167 by James Holden , Nov 28. 2018, 13:11
I’m back after trying this last night after over a month and a half’s steep and it’s definitely deserves the five stars that I and others have rated it. It really does taste like the description and none of that cheesy, damp cardboard flavour that I sometimes get with some of these ingredients,I think the culprit there was from using Sugar Cookie V2 but I could be entirely wrong. Anyhow thanks for sharing your great recipes and for all of the help and advice that you give to our community.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#168 by JustDaile, Nov 28. 2018, 19:17
Not a fan
#169 by Greybeard, Dec 23. 2018, 18:49
After I made this at first, and while I liked it, it was just a bit too subtle even after a couple of weeks steeping. After 3 months though, it has transformed into a really smooth, delicate, morish vape.

To get the best out of it, I prefer to drip it using my Nano Wasp with a simple coil to pick up the subtle notes, I haven't been able to put the bottle down since.

5 stars from me, and a definite ADV with lots of potential for tweaking if you want to increase the flavour.
#170 by Mixtard, Feb 27. 2019, 13:13
This is nice as a SnV, but it's lackinging something. I think a bit of FA Espresso would really work here.
#171 by Tacofiller, Mar 9. 2019, 04:39
This is truly delicious!! Thank you for sharing!
#172 by VapeDayz , Apr 25. 2019, 16:35
Waiting for mine steeping :( wont be long now but im going to give it a 4-6 week steep and see how it turns out.
#173 by OddModicum, May 23. 2019, 04:37
Mixed exactly as written, but used V2 of CAP Vanilla Custard and CAP Sugar Cookie. Lovely recipe! I'm about 4 days in and its great... looking forward to how it'll develop over the next few weeks. Thanks so much!
#174 by OddModicum, May 23. 2019, 04:49
@sd340068 Per your comment about adding butter. It's good as is, but i'd thought about adding a few drops of butter, also. My mom used to make old fashioned Scottish Shortbread, and the recipe literally called for about 4 lbs of butter. lol Was fantastic, total melt in mouth. I thought i might try to add a tad of butter to get a bit more of that flavor.
#175 by James Holden , May 24. 2019, 11:10
@OddModicum please let me know how it turns out. I’m in the UK and often have a tin of the Scottish Shortbread that you are describing at Christmas time and it’s full of buttery goodness, this is the real authentic shortbread by the way and your Mum was spot on.
#176 by OddModicum, Jun 16. 2019, 14:36
@Lucas James Holden, I'll definitely post back after my butter experiment to get a more Scottish Shortbread melt-in-mouth effect. I think the only butter in my arsenal is CAP Golden Butter, so I'll give that a try and let you know as soon as my new bottle of AP shows up. I'm also going to try a version w/ a veeery small amount of FW Cake Batter Dip added... I'm hoping that tweaks it just a tiny bit toward the yeasty/sweet slightly grainy side. And I'm Italian...I never realized my mum's Scottish Shortbread which we'd gift in vintage tins for Christmas presents was a UK Christmas tradition. How cool! That's put a whole new spin on a cherished childhood memory for me. ty ty!
#177 by James Holden , Jun 16. 2019, 22:16
@OddModicum yes it’s a very British tradition around Christmas time and the tins are often quite vintage looking with Scottish tartan on or Scottie Dogs on them. We get a large tin every Christmas 🎄 I’m so glad that I’ve helped to add some extra information to your cherished childhood memories, this makes me very happy. Hope to catch up soon with your results using the Golden Butter,Cake Batter Dip etc, good luck.👍
#178 by Morgan_Drury, Aug 8. 2019, 14:31
I ended up mixing this up and agree with the note about it being a good base. As a stand-alone I can't comment because I decided to pair it with a pistachio peanut butter ice cream.

I can imagine this would also be delicious in a caramel tobacco recipe.
#179 by Jon, Aug 14. 2019, 23:45
Hi what can I sub the cap vanilla custard with, it just taste like chemicals to me, a shame because a lot of recipes seem to have it in, any help appreciated
#180 by Morgan_Drury, Aug 15. 2019, 07:02
@Jon- instead of cap vanilla custard @ 2%, add this combo:

French Vanilla Ice Cream (Hansen) @ 0.2%
Vanilla Ice Cream (LB) @ 1.4%
Vanilla Swirl (TPA) @ 0.4%
#181 by Jon, Aug 15. 2019, 19:21
Thanks Morgan this helps me out a lot, thanks again for your help
#182 by Mamoto, Nov 6. 2019, 05:22
Wow, so buttery and rich and still not really dense nor harsh. I love it, thanks for sharing!
"Comforting crumbly buttery vanilla Scottish shortbread" Indeed!
#183 by VapeDayz , Jan 3. 2020, 20:14
Well i made mine back 9 month ago and still have no idea what to do with it :))...Need to find some thing too use it up on though how long will the colour is like treacle..
#184 by Justwurz, Jan 20. 2020, 10:37
This is one ive come back to but i didn't have vanilla shisha so I subbed it for FA Vanilla Classic Madagascar. Still a fantastic flavour. Do love the inawara biscuit.
#185 by DiketonesHead, Mar 22. 2020, 09:10
Seriously one of the BEST recipes i found here, and I tried ALOT.
#186 by Thatsgr8, May 1. 2020, 12:47
Fantastic flavor. Super easy to make. I did not let it steep at all after first making it. However, it is amazing after 3 day steep. Thank you.
#187 by Ahmadlatayfe, May 22. 2020, 00:54
mixed this and tested it after 1 week, didnt like it at all !!!

tested it after another week , same story and i gave up on it

now after 3 months decided to clean bottles, decided to give it a last chance and its AMAZING !!! god damn im enjoying this sooo much
#188 by Zugmaschine, May 23. 2020, 20:10
@Ella, @VHM, @ALL ...
I love this recipe! But sometimes i wish i could be a little stronger, without add other flavours. I have the oneshot in my stash.
Do you think it will work to use 10% instead of 9%?
Did this make the juice stronger without changing the general flavour?
#189 by Cpt_Trips, May 24. 2020, 15:19
@Zugmaschine I've mixed it at 10% (lazy mixing, 10 is easier than 9) and don't think it alters flavour much. Maybe try 12%? I'd be wary of going too high because of the AP... Mix could become bitter? But we won't know unless you give it a go :)

@Ahmadlatayfe Thank you for the great review but sorry it took three months to get good for you!
#190 by Zugmaschine, Jul 8. 2020, 20:31
@Cpt_Trips sorry for answer so late.
Its really not much diffrent with 11%. Really a little bitter, how you sad.
But with original percentage and adding 2% FW Yellow Cake iam happy.
#191 by kamanza, Dec 16. 2020, 02:43
Mixed it with1 sub: Purilum cookie instead of CAP and it is the best juice I've mixed so far. The only bad: it is so tasty, I almost drink it. 5 stars!
#192 by deb , Dec 16. 2020, 04:03
Nice! I love Pur cookie.
#193 by NECO Chef, Jan 31. 2022, 06:45
This is just awesome. If you're thinking about it, just mix it. Thank you for thw recipe.
#194 by 316VAPES, May 2. 2022, 20:06
If you consider buying this made for you from eliquidremix dont do it. First the recipe is 6 years old and they changed the custard so it will not be the same profile as the original was meant to be.
#195 by Zugmaschine, May 18. 2022, 17:42
@316VAPES the Vanilla Custard ist still the same, no change.
Yes there is also a CAP Vanilla Custard V2 on the market, but it has nothing to do with the custard in this recipe.
Its still a good recipe, also after all this years.
#196 by Dani, Apr 11. 2023, 00:44
Very tasty and it will probably be one of the recipes that can also be vaped in the next few years, as RTAs hardly bring any innovations to light. Therefore absolutely recommendable and a recipe that is not outdated.
#197 by BallSackBishop, Jul 20. 2023, 09:01
Damn this is such a good and accurate recipe. Even if I blind tested this I would know it is a shortbread biscuit! Just smashed through 100mls in a week and that was with me trying to hold off and vape other stuff! Seriously couldn't put it down!
