Requires 3-4 days steep, for the sucralose to bond with the citrus flavours, and give a full 'orange explosion' flavour, like Element Fresh Squeeze.

FW Ecto cooler natural works well
#2 by David R, Apr 1. 2016, 19:08
@y2kendal - thanks yes I've just ordered some of the natural version of Ecto Cooler, so look forward to trying this mix with that.

Update, 6th April 2016: Sucralose content reduced as at this level over time, it's sweetness fades and leaves a bitter taste. New % of 1.5 is better balanced.

Can I replace ecto cooler with koolada? Possibly not really sure how tht will work any idea?
#5 by David R, May 9. 2016, 00:29
@Briggs - No mate, Ecto Cooler is a strong orange/tangerine flavouring. Koolada is a flavourless ice effect, so the juice would have virtually no flavour if you removed the Ecto Cooler. You could leave the Ecto Cooler but then add 1% Koolada in addition, to give more of a "chilled" effect.

I like the fresh-squeezed aspect of that one from Element but didn't care for the creaminess. Am I right to assume this one is just the fruit and no cream?
#7 by David R, May 31. 2016, 11:38
@zedebsky - There's no creamy aspect in this particular mix, so you may find you prefer it.

Yep... this works for me. Right on brother... Ummmm!

I happen to have these flavours arriving tomorrow so I look forward to trying it out. How do you find the Ecto/Tangerine after steeping for a few weeks? I see them falling flat in the mix after too long, but would prefer an opinion from someone who has mixed with them.
#10 by David R, Jul 5. 2016, 01:03
You're right - both Ecto Cooler and Tangerine do have a (relatively) short full life, in terms of flavour, however I don't notice them running down in flavour until after a good 6+ weeks after mixing. So my advice would be to make this mix in relatively smaller batches, that you can steep for 2 weeks, and use within 6-8 weeks of mixing. The mix can be vaped earlier than the 2 weeks recommended steeping time, but the orange flavour can feel a little sharp or catchy on the throat if vaped without proper steeping. After 2 weeks, the citrus flavours calm down and blend with the base liquid and it's a much smoother, flavour-filled vape (more like Element Fresh Squeeze).

I have tried the ecto cooler at 10% in the past to keep the taste up and stop them falling. Here is the recipe I have been using: e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/385536/Ot+%2528Orangeo+tang%2529

I have recently added blood orange but do not think it should be a major part of the recipe personally. Just something to give it an extra realistic taste or oranges.

Fantastic, thanks David. I've mixed it up and the smell is very reminiscent of Fresh Squeeze. I'll keep it hidden away and ignore it for a couple weeks then report back.

Hi Dude! I love fresh squeez and have evertime a bottle here. Now I have maked 6 batches with 6 different recipes from here (still not yours) with marshmallow or without with blood orange or without and so on... but overall nothing is near an the original . and also all of them taste at inhale good and juicy like orange and afterwards very bitter and like the peel of an orange - also not as sweet as the original. Also on exhale it tastes like soap.

Any advice ? How close come your mix to the original also in the intense of it ?

What the verdict of this clone?
Also have you thought about adding saline solution?
#15 by zedebsky, Nov 22. 2016, 16:55
Simon, I'm still playing around with percentages but this is the best clone of fresh squeeze on ELR.

I'm a huge fan of fresh squeeze, its my favourite juice, and this is PERFECT! I brought a bottle the other day of the actual fresh squeeze, and had some tanks filled with it. I just filled another with this (it just finished steeping) and left it for a bit to charge. When I came back to try it, my first reaction was 'oops, wrong tank, this is the element stuff' and then it clicked.
You're doing gods work mate, and I cant thank you enough

WTF is Ecto Cooler (TPA)? There is no such thing as Ecto Cooler flavoring from TPA.
#18 by simon, Feb 27. 2017, 18:49
Just use Ecto Cooler - Flavour West
#19 by Globaldrifter, Apr 22. 2017, 05:14
Hi David. Have you done any tests with steeping in a hot bath to shorten the steeping time?
#20 by Globaldrifter, Apr 28. 2017, 20:11
Hi David. The Capella sucralose in the recipe, is that the Capella Super Sweet?
#21 by David R, Apr 28. 2017, 21:35
Hi @Globaldrifter - Yes, it is :)
#22 by James, Jul 6. 2017, 21:32
Love it - thanks for the recipe, it's a perfect Fresh Squeeze clone

This is so tasty and a great easy win for a beginner like me. Thank you!

I had to go with Ecto Cooler Type (FW) and Sweetener (Sucralose) (TPA) because of what was available/economical in the UK, worked great. I am thinking of adding a few drops of Blood Orange (FW) next time as ppl have suggested. Great after 4 days steep, can't wait to see what it's like after waiting a little longer.

Great mix! I enjoy it and my wife is happy with the delicious taste of the vape in the house.

Love this mix, i cant put it down.
#26 by GLowe89, Sep 10. 2023, 22:28
Mixed this a few times and loved it. Added a couple drops of INW Cactus (around 0.2% I guess, just dropped it in) and would have to recommend.
