What is the steep time on this recipe?.....It looks like a nice vape.......I am a little confused on your time stamps here?
#2 by Flavor Alchemist, May 11. 2016, 23:08
Edit: I re-read your notes......12-14 days.....Silly Me..... :)
#3 by masterbrewer, May 12. 2016, 14:35
Thanks for the credit buddy! I added some cake batter dip to mine. Will feed back soon enough :) Are waiting for your juices to steep or do you have stuff to speed it up?
#4 by HarrySmooth, May 12. 2016, 14:46
Hey Bro, I give Credit where Credit is Due!!! LOL........ No, I dont do anything to speed it up...Im old fashioned, lol... I Put all my juices in a commercial Pneumatic "Paint Can Shaker" like they use at Lowes etc...for the 1st and last Shake, then just Shake and Steep by Hand everything in Between...Nothing Beats good ol Father Time when it comes to Steeping...in MY opinion! LOL....And I open em and let em breathe overnight every other day or so.....

Did you drop the Key Lime from 7% to 5.5% OR is the posted recipe the actual result of your dropping it down?
#9 by HarrySmooth, May 13. 2016, 02:26
Yes, I dropped it! Lol.....
#10 by HarrySmooth, May 13. 2016, 02:27
After it steeped out I thought the Key Lime was a lil strong, and so did a couple of peers......Cheesecake-Up.....Key Lime-Down!!!
#11 by Dave, May 13. 2016, 20:06
Is the posted recipe the one to use? Or, should I adjust the posted lime and CC.
#12 by HarrySmooth, May 13. 2016, 21:31
Nope, Just make whats Posted Dave, I already made the Adjustments!
#13 by HarrySmooth, May 20. 2016, 14:56
Just got my "Key Lime (FW) in, and I can't wait to make a batch using it!!!! I'll let ya know how it turns out!

This was not good at all for me. I think i just hate everything with custad in it, but for people that like custard, i can see the charm

Freshepies does awesome recipes with Key Lime too. This tasted great also.

harry, what did you find better about FW key lime? what was the % with its TPA counterpart? the inquiring scientist in me wants to know :)
#17 by HarrySmooth, Feb 26. 2017, 23:33
Hey ADV.....sorry for taking so long.....the Key Lime (FW) is just SOOO much "VIBRANT" and tasteful! Key lime (TPA) was just bland and didn't have the taste I was looking for.....FW is SO much better!

hello Harry ,

I only have lemon lime cap ,(50ml that i don't know what to do with it !!! pfff
well...could be ok instead key lime ?

I hope you understand my 2 questions (about cupcake and lemon lime).... my engish is as bad as my mix!!

cheers Harry

Yes , the version with cupcake is better, and sure... you can use lemon lime, it just won't be "Key Lime".....key lime has a lol extra "KICK" than the lemon lime, But hell, try it… That's how great recipes are found !!!

Lol this is funny because I only mixed your V1 before seeing this one, and took it upon myself to add Van Cupcake bc I thought it'd help the texture a bit. Great minds think alike...wait...does this mean I'm a master brewer? Lmao. Thanks for the recipes

I didn’t even know you made a v2. With a little sweetener v1 was awesome. I’ll have to get the fw key lime and cap cupcake on my next order along with a 4oz ny cheesecake.
The beard no5 recipe was also amazing. Good job, this aged very well
