I love the flavor of Shamrock Shake by RF but I find it a tad light. The Creme de Menthe adds without over flavoring and gives it more depth. The sugar cookie adds to the sweetness , it is a nice flavor in itself but subtle. The RF Vanilla Custard adds an extra bit of Vanilla and the Cap VC adds the mouth feel . I am using the Liquid Labs Vapor Base that has 1,3 -PDO , It does boost as well as mute certain flavors. It will help coffee flavors but it will also mute vanilla after a while. Please keep this in mind when using it.It also turns this into a S&V but it will change as they all do.After three weeks the vanilla will start to become muted when using 1,3-PDO
I tried this after a 4 week steep. Very very delicious. Thank you so much, this really fleshes out the shamrock shake. Thank you for recommending the FLV Creme de Menthe. You are right, really pops it over the edge :-)
I will. The only thing I was thinking of changing was replacing the RF custard with a cream with a little more mouth feel. Great flavor, but I keep looking for a thicker cream. Just got in RF Cream, may try a bit of that? Or CAP Vanilla WC might be good. Not sure yet :-) Will let you know.
I think that would be great .I keep meaning to try Creme Brulee (INW) .05% in place of the RF VC and bump up the Caps V1 to 3.0% for a thicker mouth feel as well.
I am going to mix this up this weekend! ;-)
Was thinking like 1% Shisha Vanilla and up the VC1 also. Might really brighten up the vanilla to stand up to the mint and then the VC1 will thicken? Might mix up that version this weekend. Please keep me posted :-)
OK, I started thinking this might be good with an ice cream base also. So I made2 new testers. First one I changed the CAP V1 to 2.5%, removed the RF VC, and added 1.5% INW Vanilla Shisha. The second one I removed both custards, and used 2.5% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and 1.5% TFA Vanilla Swirl. I will let you know how they came out in 4 weeks :D
