Notes
I have seen recipes on here stating 27%-29% flavouring. This is just wrong as the original Farleys has a 80/20 vg to pg ratio. I have worked on this the past few weeks and have nailed it down to this. The mistake is everyone seems to be using kiwi double (TPA). That kiwi is weak and you need to put more percent in to get the flavour out. FlavourArts kiwi is super concentrated. So at 6% you can sneak the strawberry's and bubblegum in and keep the flavour at 20%. This is a must try clone. I love this stuff but felt 29% flavouring was just not right at all. This tastes pretty damn close to the original version.

Comments are always welcome :)
This is shake and vape approved, but defo benefits from a 3 day-7 day steep. I have made batches of this stuff now that i am going to let sit for a few week as i vape some, so i can test it out at different stages to see where the best flavour is at the right time

ENJOY :)

Oh, sorry, i thought u was pointing out that was the original recipe lol. Thanks for that anyway
#4 by Just Mixing, Jun 30. 2016, 04:35
I used FW Kiwi at same % and it's delicious! I finally have a bubblegum to ADV. Thanks for the recipe
#5 by Vaping souljahhh, Jun 30. 2016, 11:05
@just mixing you're more than welcome. Its the closest iv got to the clone of farleys gnarly sauce. Thanks for the comment :) i will have a few more recipes being uploaded soon that i have worked on
#6 by En0ch, Jul 21. 2016, 02:43
Cant wait to try this recipe pal as i cant keep paying £18 for 30ml :(
#7 by Vaping souljahhh, Jul 21. 2016, 10:53
Iv changed it from this now, i will edit the recipe. This was abit too much bubblegum. I will update it in abit for you. N i kno, £18 is wayyyyyy too much for Farleys. Was sick of paying that out myself. This only cost around £2.30 for a 30ml, thats including the bottle.
#8 by En0ch, Jul 21. 2016, 13:43
Nice one Vaping souljahhh your a godsend :) with the vaping industry going the way it is i was worried i'd never be able to enjoy gnarly again.
#9 by Vaping souljahhh, Jul 21. 2016, 15:44
Oh believe me Enoch, i aint stopping cloning this untill i nail it down perfectly. Its one of my favourite juices, i need to have it right. Im going to update it to the latest recipe iv got. Im sure im missing a cream and a sweetener, but the latest one is gorgeous! Anyway it saves alot of money!
#10 by En0ch, Jul 21. 2016, 16:01
Try using TFA smooth to round out any harshness and normal sweetener or ethyl maltol to get it sweeter, check your email i sent you a file that shows different additives and what they do ;)
#11 by Vaping souljahhh, Jul 21. 2016, 16:41
Yea iv got notes on all additives myself, plus watching ENYAWREKLAW's youtube (diyordie) account. Hes got some fantastic notes. Once my flavours get ere from chefsflavours, im going to make a big batch of the edit recipe i done here. Then im going to seperate then into 15ml bottles and experiment using different creams and other additives. Im sure they wont use EM as this dulls flavours, im pretty sure its just tpa sucrolose. I cant see it being caps super sweet as a drop of that can throw a recipe off. I have tons of creams and additives so i will see which ones work best.
#12 by En0ch, Jul 21. 2016, 21:17
Yeah Wayne is an awesome mixer, if i remember correctly he said to use marshmallow because it has creamy qualities so maybe give it a go mate.
#13 by Vaping souljahhh, Jul 21. 2016, 21:34
Ya know saying that, i mixed strawberry and kiwi in a mix once with caps marshmallow and the taste was creamier. Thats a good suggestion. As i said, i will make a big batch of this base tomoz when the supplies are here n then i will seperate them into smaller batches and just mix different creams and sucrolose to each of them and see where it gets me to
#14 by En0ch, Jul 21. 2016, 21:41
Good luck mate i can't wait to see if you nail this recipe ;)
#15 by ResistantUK, Jul 31. 2016, 15:31
Made a batch of this the other week, had a little vape test today. It's close, looking forward to seeing some more updates.
#16 by Vaping souljahhh, Jul 31. 2016, 17:55
Yea, its getting really close now. Iv got a main batch of this steeping. What im gona do is split it into test batches and add what creams i think are in it, coz im sure they are using one AND sucralose, im like 80% sure which cream they are using, so im going to just test a few to see if i can nail it. Im about 91% there now, just abit more tinkering n i think im going to nail it. I wont stop untill this is around 99% there. Dont get me wrong, its good as it is and saves a bunch of money, but i wont to get it right.
#17 by bazh, Aug 10. 2016, 18:22
did you do anymore tinkering mate? as i just mixed up above recipe and was wondering if you had improved it ;-)
#18 by Vaping souljahhh, Aug 11. 2016, 01:41
At the moment i have 4 different versions of the above recipe with an added flavour. Iv actually got one in my tank now, i put CAP's marshmallow in at 2%, its nice but its only been 7 days so cant tell if this is closer or not as of yet. Its still very on point, but im just a little bit away. Iv got 3 more with a different ingredient in each one. I will update as soon as iv done testing the rest. Even with the above recipe its still really close just as it is. Just add sweetener to it for now n u will b kinda where im at. Would only put like 1% in tho as its really sweet that stuff.
#19 by bazh, Aug 17. 2016, 08:41
ok mate has been 7 days since i added 1 % tpa marshmallow and 1% FA meringue, now wether this is close to the original i dont know as i have never tried it but this has now become my adv, be interesting to hear how you have got on with your tweaks but for me this is amazing so a big thank you Vaping souljahh ;-)
#20 by Vaping souljahhh, Aug 17. 2016, 18:28
@bazh now worries at all. Its really really close now. The version i put CAP's Marshmallow @ 2%. I passed on to a friend to try coz he loves Bad Drips Farleys. He thinks its spot on to the original. I think its about 97% there. Next time im gona add 3% marshmallow n i think its gona be perfect. I will update on that one, but for now this can defo be called a clone. Im gona nail it for sure tho!
#21 by En0ch, Aug 30. 2016, 22:50
Great mix the juice is very nice, but imo it isnt anything like gnarly sauce. According to my empty tubs that the juice comes in i have vaped 500ml of it so i know what it tastes and smells like, i will mix it up again and use Flavour West Kiwi because that flavouring alone smells like gnarly sauce plus i dont think the bubblegum and strawberry is right, strawberry is more candy than ripe.
#22 by Vaping souljahhh, Nov 24. 2016, 10:18
Sorry I ain't got back to this post in a while. Been busy with other mixes. Yes ur right, it's nice but isn't as close as gnarled sauce as I thought. I know the bubblegum is defo caps. Iv tried a few mixes since then and it tastes and smells like caps bubblegum. The strawberry I think is caps sweet strawberry at a low percent. I've done a few mixes with this but it's the kiwi I'm not nailing. I will keep trying. It could be that I'm missing sucralose though. That helps fruits to pop. I will keep trying and post my results though. How did it go with FW kiwi? As I haven't got that flavour.

Can i replace bubblegum tfa for bubblegum fruity style tfa??
#24 by Vaping souljahhh, Dec 27. 2016, 13:29
Yes you can replace the bubblegum. It will taste slightly different but it will still be a good enough juice to vape on. I haven't tried it with the fruity one so please comment back so I can see how it went. I'd use the same percent as in this mix. Please rate too. Thanks
#25 by Tony R., Dec 27. 2016, 16:08
Oké I will Let you know, gone mix it up tonight, thanks for the quick responce.
#26 by En0ch, Dec 28. 2016, 04:31
The closest I've got with flavorings is FW kiwi, TFA strawberry, CAP sweet strawberry, FW bubblegum and sweetener but nailing the percentages is hard, I'm not that good a mixer tbh but if you can get those flavorings and play with them you'll get gnarly sauce. P.S CAP bubblegum is almost the same as FW bubblegum so try both ;)
#27 by Vaping souljahhh, Jul 4. 2017, 09:15
Enoch, i got FW kiwi and FW strawberry, now these are defo the foundations of the fruit they use. Their strawberry is a candied sweet strawberry. As you said the % are hard to nail. Im getting closer tho. If you want me to change the recipe to what im using at the moment let me know and i will. They must be using FW flavourings. That kiwi is bang on so well spotted. As soon as i opened the strawverry too i knew that was in there. Its the bubblegum i cant get right, its not TPA or CAPs bubblegum. I havent got FW version, but assuming they use FW for the fruits, its got to be worth a shot to get their bubblegum too. Next order i will get that. Im thinkin they use something else tho to round it all out, im not quite sure what it is yet, but if we can get the bubblegum right and the percentages, i prob can figure it out.
#28 by Geb, Dec 30. 2017, 01:55
Hi. I purchased TPA Bubblegum Fruit/Juicy style thinking it was TPA Bubblegum (I didn't realize TPA made two bubblegum flavors). How do you think this mix will go if I use fruit style in place of regular bubblegum? I also have Lorann bubblegum.
#29 by Vaping souljahhh, Dec 30. 2017, 01:59
I havent used loranns bubblegum. TPA juicy bubblegum should work fine. It will still be a really good vape. Havent tried it in this combo so comment back if you do :)
#30 by Geb, Dec 30. 2017, 02:40
Will do. I'm going to mix this maybe this weekend. I have both TPA kiwi double and FA kiwi (15mls). I've got a 120ml of the double so I'll probably use that (I did read your notes about kiwi vs kiwi double). I purchased the kiwi on a closeout sale and I'll have it for years if I don't start mixing with it. I used the double in a kiwi/strawberry mix (kanzi) and I tasted it just fine - I'm not much of a fruity juice person so at this point I taste all fruits clearly.
#31 by bossdave, Feb 9. 2018, 12:53
Hello, have you had the chance to figure out percentages for the FW flavorings for this mix?
#32 by Geb, Jun 3. 2018, 06:10
out of curiosity I tried the original of this juice when I came across a good sale on it. I like the clone much better - not nearly as harsh.
#33 by Vaping souljahhh, Jun 3. 2018, 11:44
Thanks for the kind words @Geb.

@bossdave. Nope havent been back to try and further this recipe. Ive been working on a few more mixes.
#34 by alexnms77, Aug 31. 2021, 12:46
Hi
First of all thank you for the recipe. I tried some recipes here, some were good and others were good too, but not nearly a clone.
This one here sounds good, but in my opinion it cannot be the right clone. First of all the marshmallow, it has a brown color and colors the whole mix into an amber color. The original is fully clear (a rest is here on my desk) and I can compare it side by side. The right kiwi seems to be the flavorwest kiwi, that is the original smell. But it seems too weak with only 6 percent.
So what I mixed right now was
4 % Tpa bubblegum
8 % fw kiwi
5% Tpa strawberry ripe
0.5 % super sweet
Right after mixing and comparing it directly licked from my fingers, it is very good, but still not the original. I think they use Tpa strawberry, not the ripe version.
Next time I'll give it a try an will report back.

Thank you anyway for your work

Alex

Just forgot to say: The original version is 70 / 30 , found on a US site.
Here in europe they say it's 75 / 25
Never saw a 80 / 20 version anywhere
