Notes
Just some misc. Notes and thoughts on this recipe:
Great SnV but is better after a couple days rest (to give strawberry time to get situated in the frosting)
Adjust marshmallow as needed for perferred consistency of frosting (less marshmallow for a heavier frosting, more marshmallow for a lighter 'airy' whipped type frosting. 2% is my limit for the marshmallow, beyond that; it begins tasting marshmallow over the frosting too much.
At 6% the strawberry is very up front on SnV after a day or two rest it settles back and into the frosting flavor well. I would say 4.5-6.5% range to play with on this one.
The sugar cookie, like everything else in this recipe, is also variable to taste tho much higher than maybe 5% will start offsetting the frosting flavor with more overpowering near burnt flavor cookie and anything under %3 the cookie wont be up front over the frosting enough so 3-5% range on that one.
CCI at 2% just fits will with the marshmallow. Any higher and it makes the mix too syrupy heavy sweet, any less and you get the marshmallowy flavor coming thru much more. Basically the marahmallow and CCI are balanced to make a lighter fluffier happier frosting as opposed to just a liquidy glaze taste.

Awesome :) well, glad to be of service. Was a fairly simple mix (especially compared to most of my mixes lol) and came out great so I figured it was time to make it public and share :)

This is excellent. This is a ADV for me really true to a frosted strawberry cookie.

This needs a good steep. After 3 weeks it's a spot on SB Sugar Cookie. Not sure if it was ready sooner (1-2 weeks?), but totally different from when tested as a SnV. Bravo Mikey! the Marshmallow @1.5% is juust right

Looks awesome. I'm trying this with some cake batter dip (FW) to create a circus cookie juice I tried before. I'll report back.

Any updates on this thread? What have you founds to be best combo?

Just as the recipe shows.. Tweaking it slightly is just personal preferences. My notes describe changes one could make in good detail, what works for you, is well, for you to decide

I don't have the cream cheese icing. Will it work without it?
#16 by mikelej14, Aug 5. 2017, 04:07
Yes, of course, but it won't be the same, it'd be missing some of the frosting aspect to it.

Just stumbled across this recipe following a thread on excellent recipes that "haven't gone viral" and/or not made the first several pages... I feel obliged to make it now because of three things: It fits my flavor profile for strawberries, I have some CCI that I have not used yet, and even more interestingly ...you mix at 3.5% , the same way I do. No doubt this is a hidden gem, thanks!

None of my recipes have gone viral, no.. but this one is definitely one of my most popular on here. I'm glad people are trying it out. Thanks. Let me know how you like it!

This is going into my rotation, thanks for the recipe! It kind of reminds me of the Good Humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bar.
