Crisp crunchy honey nut cornflakes with full fat milk. 1 week steep.

If you don't have CCW Devon Cream just up CAP Custard by .5%. Toasted Almond adds to the crunchyness of the cereal but is not crucial.

Massive huge thanks has to go to Claire Collins, Kevin Reed, Chris Drake & Tom Dixon Storey for the help tweaking this!

Just tried this after a weeks steep, all I'm tasting is nuts, which isn't bad but honey nut cornflakes it is not....well not yet, gonna give it time and hopefully the cream and custard starts to balance it out, would a overnight breath help?

@Blinkz - It will settle but does stay reasonably nut heavy, the cornflake taste is understated, it's more like the milk dregs after you've eaten the cereal? I do usually give it a 12 hour breathe after mixing (CAP Cereal 27 smells a little chemically to me). Sorry to hear it's not hitting the spot 😔

Gave it a breath last night, defiantly less harsh on the nuts (that sounds wrong 😄) will leave it for another week though, ps I freaking the milk dregs, so hope it starts to taste like that!

Few days steep and this is awesome. Get the milky taste at the bottom of the bowl. Definitely in my adventure rotation now. Thanks

I'm vaping it, 1 month steeped, i taste cornflakes and light milk but i don't taste Nut or honey.
Not enought sweet at my taste.
I will try with 1% sweetener

This WAS my all-week ADV for a while - even had a dedicated RTA setup just so I always had it in rotation - until Chef's stopped selling the one-shot (now I know how 1920's Americans must have felt when they heard booze prohibition was coming into effect). I'd been toying with the idea of just buying all the individual component-ingredients and doing it myself, but that's a sizable shopping list considering I don't already own any of these, bar CAP VC v1 & TPA Bav. Cream. Reminds me of the time I really got into drinking Long Island Iced Tea for a bit and ended up buying all the ingredients for that. Lol. Was worth it in the end. Anyway, point is, I am gonna cave and buy the lot even if it does come to like £30 :P it's definitely worth it. It's been like almost a year since I last had some and I can still recall the wide-reaching palate-smothering flav-... well it's not really a "flavour" as much as it is an immersing sensory experience. Bish bash bosh, r8 lush nosh!

Follow-up question: how crucial is the use of FA Marshmallow compared to, say, TFA Marshmallow instead? Cos I've just bought 30ml of the latter; are they similar enough at this percentage for the end result flavour profile to remain near-enough unwavered in the case of such a substitution? FWIW CAP SL (Whipped) Marshmallow is pretty dissimilar to the typical marshmallow flavour profile ie. its impact (CAP Marshmallow SL, I mean) is more flavour-oriented than primarily "mouth feel" as is the case with TFA Marshmallamerkalipslush

Hello can sub Devon Cream to veinna cream or fresh cream form FA
#13 by WiSK, Nov 27. 2018, 09:44
@ 9KADE as it says in the notes "If you don't have CCW Devon Cream just up CAP Custard by .5%." but in general Devon Cream can be replaced with TPA Bavarian Cream in most recipes.

What's the difference between TPA Toasted Almond and TPA Almond? Because I have the latter.

My 'Nut Mix' I think has turned to shit because lately it tastes pretty bad - like plastic-y play-dough. Anything I should use in its place? I've been using a 1:1:1 combo of FA Hazelnut, TPA Peanut Butter and FA Almond (totalling 1% altogether) and it seems fine (if anything I quite like the addition of the FA Hazel in the name of actual Crunchy Nut Cornflakes authenticity) - or would anyone have a better suggestion?
