no its slightly different to fa custard. fa custard has citrus notes and fitted the profile better than a vanilla custard. it works well with the lemon to mimmick the curd effect.
its slightly different in its profile i find caps version does a better job of the pie aspect but fw has more lemon profile which i found worked better. it should still work and should still create a good version just mix a small batch first.
you could sub fa custard pi 3.14 with fa custard, not tried with say cap vanilla custard though it might work give a small batch a go using the same percentage.

Tried the real thing the other day and was hooked, found your recipe yesterday and have made 30ml. Will keep you updated on how it goes.
Thanks for the recipe.
What an amazing job with this recipe!
Lemon tart has been a favorite of mine for a while now and you have pretty much nailed it!!
Thank you very much!!!
Hi, love this flavour from dinner lady. Definitely going to give this ago. Anybody know a good place where I can get all the ingredients from one place in the UK? Been in a few sites but can't find one with all the flavours I need without making multiple orders.
smokey-joe FA custard pi 3.14 is a light custard unlike say cap vanilla custard doesn't really have any vanilla notes which fits the recipe alongside its subtle citrus notes which can be found in pi 3.14
I had to make a few substitutions, but it came out amazing nonetheless! Plowed right through my 10 ml sample bottle in less than a day - delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Just made up 5mls of this and it tastes amazing.
So made another 30mls can't believe how good it tastes.
Gonna make a big batch and let's it steep for a week or two.
Think it will taste unbelievable after a bit of a steep.
Thanks for the recipe
Just done 1 liter with your recipe, but still waiting for the Pi custard, so I done only 60ml with the normal custard, just to test.
It's so fu*k*ing good... I can't do a real comparison with the real dinner as i have finished it some days ago, but it's really delicious, even just some minutes after doing it, so i can't imagine in one week when it will be steeped...
Thanks mate!
I made the recipe with the exact same flavours. Just tried it after a 2 week steep and it's absolutely delicious. I have tried the Dinner lady version before and I think this is just as good. Thank you for all your hard work in creating the recipe and also for sharing it. Good work!
I didn't have capella jucy lemon so I subbed it for inawara lemon at half the amount. I've gave it 3 days and it's very nice. Thankyou Darren for recreating this, excellent 👍
Great recipe, very very close to the original. The first thing I've mixed after a two year break, inspired me to stick with the diy this time. Thank you
Just ordered all the ingredients to make a lot of this, the original Lemon Tart is the most perfect vape ever... but pricey!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find Flavor West Lemon Meringue Pie in stock anywhere in the UK so I had to substitute Lemon Meringue Pie v2 by Capella, hopefully it turns out okay.
Just bought some more original dinner lady to compare, i confirm there is a bit more of lemon in it, and the bakery taste is a bit different. But now i prefer the clone recipe :-) 1L more to come :-)
Now on the bottle of dinner there is the composition, not the exact name of the flavours, but the percentage, if that can help:
Meringue flavour 1.4%
Lemon flavour 0.3%
Biscuit flavour 0.2%
Others flavours 0.2%
The others is the secret ;-)
It's surprising as it's very light on flavours
if i understand right steep time for this is 7 days thats what i see on
alltheflavors.com i thought custards take like a month to steep
Total flavoring: 14.55% Steep Days: 7 Best VG: 0% Temperature: 0
i'm some what new that's why i ask
So I made 100ml of this yesterday (with Lemon Meringue Pie v2 (CAP), (unfortunately Flavor West's Lemon Meringue Pie is impossible to get in the UK)) and just tried some today. It's awesome but the Lemon Meringue Pie v2 is more of a dry powdery meringue. From what I can tell so far, the base is very different from the original, though better in my opinion. The lemon is nowhere near the original.
It obviously needs more steeping time for all the flavours to come though, there's barely any lemon flavour.
My mix is like a golden brown colour, similar to the colour of tea when you brew it but I am using 6mg nicotine if that helps at all bunny.lovin.
Having never had the original, despite the number of flavors in this mix, and being a huge fan of HIC's Lemon Meringue Pie, mixed this up. After a short 3 day steep, it smelled GREAT !!!!! Tried it, and it tasted even better than it smelled. To me, it seems much more complex than a simple LMP and that's what makes this so interesting, AND a new ADV !!!!
Absolutely nailed this.Thank you for this brilliant recipe. No longer need to pay for this premium juice, mixed 200ml off the bat, steeped for a week and now enjoying on SS316L .25 ohm dual fused clapton at 60 watt.👍👍👍
I've just whipped up a batch of this! the lemon smells pretty spot on, hoping to get those biscuit aromas as well when it comes to vape! Cheers man ill let you know how similar it is to the original in a couple weeks!
I'm on my second liter of this recipe, it's an ADV for sure.
Definitely the finest one!!
It really needs at least a week of steeping to reveal all the flavours.
You can vape it straight away but it would not be perfect, just great :-)
Definitely recommend it!
Thanks mate!!
Ps: done 1l with the normal custard not the Pi 3.14 and it's still so great!!
I loved the original, it used to be my ADV. Saw this and got all excited. Mixed up 20ml 40 mins ago. Certainly smells stronger than the original. I will let it rest for a few days and see if it mellows a little. Smells divine of the bat.
Do we leave the cap off to air overnight or do we keep the cap on at first? I hear around 3 weeks steep time for this to become optimum.
For me it's becoming good after 3 or 4 days, shaking it 2 times every day, bottle closed i don't remove the cap. But it definitely needs 2 weeks for all the flavors to be balanced nicely. You can vape straight away you'll already love it
Really wish I could get FW lemon meringue pie :( What I put together with CAP lemon meringue v2 just isn't good, even after 3 weeks of steeping, the lemon just isn't there, though the base is a pretty nice, powdery meringue, though barely there either anymore.
Strangely, on day 1 when I tried a bit of this, it was a very flavourful meringue vape with a hint of lemon, after 3 weeks, literally all the flavour has gone though the juice itself when I taste a bit on my finger tastes awesome!
unfortunatley all lemon flavours mute somewhat overtime even the original dinner lady eliquid mutes its lemon flavour once opened trust me i've experiemented with that. There are 2 options only make an amount you know you'll vape within 3 weeks of opening or boost the lemon once opened if you experience any muting. Hope that helps everyone concerned and once again thanks for great feedback i'm overwelmed.
After a 40 min ultrasonic bath and a days rest, this is just getting better. I had a lemon curd dessert last night which reminded me of this. Now I am thinking, how about adding a cream. As a novice mixer, would any of the advanced mixers know what cream/s may suit if at all :)..
This mix in my opinion is one of the best crafted recipes I have ever tasted, and I've tried nearly all the top 40 recipes. Hats off to you NERRADELOC. This stuff is like liquid crack... I also think this has the missing link to finally cloning Looper. My new ADV!!!
I altered the recipe very slightly. Increased Bavarian cream to 2.1% Swapped Golden Butter to TPA Butter Cream 0.45%. Swapped out FA lemon Sicily to FW Italian Lemon Sicily 1.4%. Mixed to 100% VG
Right, I made a batch of this stuff as per the recipe, just increased the amount to make. It's steeped for about a week and so far it isn't as good as I expected as per the comments on the this thread. I feel like the lemon has subsided some what compared the day of initial mixing and it just doesn't have the biscuity/custardieness that the original has. I'm hoping this is because it hasn't had enough time to steep as some people say 3 weeks, however others say a week. Hopefully someone here can shed some light as to how to get the flavour to improve.
The only flavour I couldn't acquire was meringue FA which I substituted for meringue TPA. Would of this has a significant effect on final outcome?
if you've made subs granted its only the meringue but you have mixed something that is'nt the original recipe though subbing the meringue should'nt alter the recipe significantly even though fa meringue and tfa meringue are quite different as tfa is slightly more potent.
regarding steeping i myself say after 3 days the recipe is good and the lemon flavours are at there best and more forward with all lemon flavours you will get fading overtime, i've commented about this in previous posts. my advice is only make enough that you will consume within a 1 month period that way you can enjoy this recipe to its full potental, but remember taste is subjective and will be different from one person to another.
Okay cool, I think perhaps I won't make a batch without the original meriengue stated in the recipie and i shall consume after a shorter steep. Thanks for the fast reply bro
Were do i get all the ingredients. I cant get all of them , plus the names in german are in some liquids very different. Can you help me were i get the single conetrates or an alredy made mix. Thx a lot
Very, very good!! Came across this in search of a recipe as it's too pricey to buy it but I must say, you've done amazing to get it almost identical as the original... could maybe do with a touch more of lemon but I'm not complaining!! Very well done to yourself!!! Top Man!!!
Love the original, had the flavours, mixed it up and left steep for 1 week. Smelt and taste tested great. Exhale gave me a dull taste in mouth, changed my nic supplier, maybe its that :( . Thanks for posting bud. big thumbs up
Being in the UK I've spent a quite a few penny's since the lemon tart came out so huge thanks for putting this recipe out, it's a perfect take on dinner lady and I didn't even use the custard recommended I use my goto Cap V1
IT is the same on chefsflavours. They only have half of the ingredients the other half is out of stock or not available. Any suggestions ? I really wanna Mix it
Thx . I got all ingredients Today. I wanted to ask if all of you use scales or if some of you uses syringes. Code syringes wollnt be as precise as a scale. I man how do you measure 0.23 ml
Hey NERRADELOC, very good Job! I mixt it yesterday, the juicy Lemon was a bit too dominant. Today its much better. I think after a view more days it will get better and better. Thank you, it's a amazing recipe!
I have tried made several lemon flavored juices and they all seemed a bit off but this is fu*k*ng AMAZING. Just perfect. I did use the regular FA custard and it works great!!
This stuff truely is a darn good recipe, i recomend it, i make it in batches of 100ml its just easiest, plus i always keep a bottle steeping, this is 1 of my 6 all day vapes.. Ty for the recipe, i tweaked a few minor things for my prefferences but amazing as is also! Great job
I don't much fruit recipes but I like Lemon so I bought the stuff and made it up. Absolutely kickass recipe. Made up a bunch of it. Thanks for sharing this one.
i´ve been vaping this since it come out. It´s probably the best diy out there. Absolutely wonderful vape. I normaly mix 250 ml batches that never last much.
Best vape ever. Nice 1 for picking this complex beast apart. Love the way you get different flavours at each stage - inhale, exhale and after taste. Lip-smackingly good.
I've been trying to tailor this recipe to my taste for a while now, but I'm having issues with the lemon. Does anyone have a suggestion for a sweeter, less bright, lemon? The ones used above taste like lemonade to me.
Not close to the Original, but that is not bad... The Clone tastes better!
Have them both here... Original has way more cracker/bisquit in it... the smell is different.
But there is some kind of perfumey taste in the original, and in the clone it is not.. 1+++ for this Recipe.
Way better, but not really like the Original.
Banging recipe and I know how hard Darren worked on it when he posted photo's of all the trial versions. I've never tried the original dinner lady version and I don't feel any desire to fork out silly money to do so.
No where near being a 100% clone, maybe 50%, there is no pastry notes at all and the lemon is very bitter. Tried it every week for a month and it didnt improve much IMO. The effort is greatly appreciated though
well I've Got the Original & this Clone side by side' the Original is sweeter & a bit more tangy.. But The Clone Is a really Good & deserves a round of Applause' ..4 week steep' Top Notch Juice' I won't be buying the Original EVER again'.. THANK YOU'
Anyone tried adding 3-4 drops acetyl pyrazine to take out the tart better.I am sure that the original has tons of AP in it, it smells exactly like that when you open a new bottle
After 3 weeks this recipe is balanced. Very good. And it's a little sweet for my taste. Removing sweetner next time. And good idea Spiros. I'm gonna add 0.5 % of AP
to me the original is kinda like a cereal type vape for me. and as much as i like it,and cereal vapes, thats what makes me not vape it all the time. would everyone say this has that same flavor or is the cereal/bakery notes as pronounced?
@Theemailman - I have a bottle with more than 1 month of steeping. I don't have any note of biscuit. What I have is Juicy Lemon, Lemon Meringue Pie and Meringue. It's creamy, and an ambar color. But those are the notes I can taste. One day I mixed a bottle without Custard, Biscuit, Golden Butter and Lemon Sicily and I added, Cheesecake, VBIC, Sweet Cream and Marshmallow. It was pretty similar. Almost the same notes dominating the recipe. A good test is mixing without them to see the results. After, mixing with a little more Biscuit. I'm steeping a bottle with Acetil Pirazyne. I added like 9 drops in a batch of 60 ml. It's still steeping. When I get the results I'll post it here. But this recipe is still a good and sweet vape.
Diogo let me know how it goes, defo gonna up the biscuit cause I'm a fiend for it, the recipes is by far the best DIY i have tried, it's down to lemon SiCILY in my eyes as its the daddy.ill probably up Graeme cracker aswell
Singing the praises of Darren Cole. Such an excellent recipe! I may also up the biscuit but it's fantastic as is. If the lemon is too harsh just give it more time. By day 10 the harshness was completely gone for me. I did let it breathe a little...not sure if that helped or if it would have gone away on its own. New mixers talk a lot about not being able to taste their juice when they start mixing...definitely not the case with this one! Thanks for the time and effort it took to develop this.
The only problem is Lemon Sicily (FA) is a coil gunger, it gurgles coils and causes small explosions all the time. The original has the same problem as the original has Lemon Sicily (FA) too. After 1 hour, it explodes like a small nuclear bomb lol. Thats why i hated original dinner lady lemon tart and going to make a clone without Lemon Sicily (FA).
Have been vaping the original since it came out and just made this - even without any steeping I much prefer this - it is smoother and richer. The meringue comes across as a true layer on top and the lemon is so much more creamy and natural, the base is buttery and rich - overall it's much more like a real lemon tart. I let someone else who doesn't vape smell some original I had and then smell this - they too preferred this recipe and said that the lemon smelt nicer. Can't imagine what it will be like with some steeping. Thank you for this recipe.
so hard to get these lemon recipes to be really lemoney, ive upped lemon scilly & lemon meringue which is better but I haven't got that juicy lemon and never used it, is that the one to lemon it right up NERRADELOC
When i see a lot of warning symbol in the flavor components simply reject that recipe. We need to do an effort to make recipes with flavors without acetoin, acetyl propinyol and diacetyl and where is possible avoid flavors aggressive with ours tanks.
I have just made this recipe, but using the diketone and acetone free versions of the liquids (DX). It was every bit as delicious. Thanks for making this. To my mind, this is a perfect clone.
Ich used another version of the recipe by Darren. It is mentioned on this side https://www.lediypourlesnuls.com/dinner-lady-lemon-tart/ and added 1% TPA Popcorn. After 1 week it matches the original perfectly and I get the popcorn smell that everybody around me likes most when I vape the original.
this is an excellent recipe.i don't want to compare it with the original and i don't care how close they are.there will always be a 50ml bottle in my closet.thank you Darren
I have made this recipe and liked it and then somewhere I read a revision of this recipe using less custard and Apple Pie. I made that one and it is suberb. Less custard, add Apple Pie. I was hesitant but it is GREAT
I made this remix 3 days ago and this morning can really start to taste the biscuit, lemon and sweetness coming through. I can tell that this is going to be amazing! It's really delicious- I must admit I had my doubts on day 1 and 2 haha well done NERRADELOC! Will the flavors get richer and more buttery/creamy over time?
Subbed the FW Lemon Meringue Pie for CAP's V1 version. Dont like the idea of liquid sugar or whatever is in the FW version. I'm hoping it's going to taste just as good. I made a 30ml bottle and gonna let it sit a few days. But so far it smells amazing. Thank you so much for this recipe. I don't even have to taste to see that it's truly a work of art.
Northern_vaper, I actually think it will be closer to original with cappella lemon meringue pie, as capella has more pie and meringue to it and the original defiantly has way more bakery than this one, I'm actually going to use 2% FW lemon meringue pie and 2% cappella lemon meringue pie in my next batch, I just have a feeling that will bring it that bit closer, this one is close but as I say original has more bakery and even when u smell original is smells stronger in meringue and pie, so I recon it has cappella in there myself, I would not be surprised if original was as simple as a few ingredients lol, I actually vapes cappella on its own with a little sweetener once and I'm telling u it was good lol
Apple Pie (FA)3.003.002.00
Lemon Meringue Pie (CAP)4.504.503.00
Lemon Meringue Pie (FW)5.255.253.50
Lemon Sicily (FA)1.501.501.00
Meringue (FA)3.003.002.00
Sweetener (Sucralose) (TPA)0.750.750.50
Ckemist, it's funny you should say that! I went to my local vape shop today and was able to try the original lemon tart. I honestly could not tell the difference between the original and the bottle I whipped up using CAP Lemon Meringue Pie. You're probably right in that the original could be a much simpler recipe, but this recipe is pretty spot on with the CAP Lemon Meringue Pie. I'm actually shocked at how identical they are, which is awesome for us mixers.
Its a verry good recipe, i most admit that i skip the sweetner, and glad i did that, becouse i think it was sweet enough without. But Thx NERRAD, good job on this.
It's a lovely juice but can be a little harsh at times is this because it could do with a bit of breathing at all? Also it gets dark pretty quick even st 3mg unlike the original
The dark comes from the custard. I am 99% certain that the original does not have custard. I am telling you folks it has Apple Pie and that is where the crust taste comes from.
I seriously don't understand why this juice gets such a high rating.
1. Is not even close to the original.
2. It's not a tasty lemon meringue pie juice.
I know everyone's taste buds are different, but just my honest opinion.
I'll try a different mix using juicy lemon cap(3%), LMP cap (8%), and apple pie FA(2%), Meringue FA (2%) as mentioned above and see how that turns out. God I need Biscuit JF.... Inawera is just not doing it for me in any recipes
I promise you if you add that Apple Pie you will get the crusty goodness the OG has. It is the essential part. As is the two LMP, one by FW and One by Cap.
FA Apple Pie 2
FW LMP 2.5
FA Lemon Sicily .5
FA Meringue 2
Sweetener .5
I PROMISE this is where it is at.
Sue & Northern_Vaper, I ordered the Apple pie and also CAP LMP and plan to mix your versions/adaptions up when I have a chance (I'm alway on business for another couple of weeks). Why not make them public so we can comment separately on your recipes?
Just mixed up a batch and straight away it smells great. Reminds me of my favourite vape, Homeslice by Phillip Rocke. I have a clone recipe uploaded for that one. Looking forward to vaping this in 2 weeks. Will leave feedback. Thanks for your recipe.

@Yoshiking I don’t get it either, I’ve tried making this juice twice and I’ve thought it’s pretty whack each batch. It’s a shame coz the ten flavours I had to buy for it. Oh well I guess. If you buy the Lemon Tart concentrate from BigJuice, it’s pretty spot on to the original, especially considering the price distance.
Gave this 3 weeks to mature and glad I did. It's brilliant. Very similar to my favourite vape which is Homeslice by Phillip Rocke. Really enjoying this recipe. Thanks for this. You should try out my Homeslice recipe if you enjoy this one. Very similar ingredients.
Hi everybody, I mixed it a few weeks ago, now i feel it a little more softty than in the first days. I need your opinion about that, is that normal or i´m wrong? raise up the flavors percentage is needed?
Brett, here is the recipe I have been using. I just made a few changes to suit my own preferences like using CAP’s LMP (don’t like the FW version due to the use of liquid sugar or whatever it’s got). e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1893444/Dinner+Lady+-+Lemon+Tart
Great thanks. I've ordered CAP's LMP (and Apple Pie) based on your and Sue's recommendation. Will mix both once I get home from a business trip this weekend
Thank you Sue. I added 2% Apple pie and used Cap Lemon Meringue Pie instead of FW (I didn't have any FW) and it tastes almost the same as the original.
Hi there, just wanted to check how long this needs to steep for for is best flavour? Looking forward to getting it. Smells great as it is being mixed on the magnetic stirrer. Thanks, Lee
Confused as to why people build a lemon merangue pie from bottom, and then add finished Lemon Merangue Pie flavoring. Just adjust your flavors and the finished concentrate becomes redundant. Nice job in any case!
I sub'd Meringue, and lemon Meringue with marshmallow, and custard with vanilla custard, because I didn't have them. Still tastes awesome. Takes a day to start to shine. I wish it had a bit more lemon flavour, and I'll bump it up next batch, yet lemon never seems to stand out for me.
This so perfectly smooth and balanced. Nice flavor and tastes exactly as its named! 10/10 for me! I have never had the original but this is delicious ADV Thanks for sharing!!
@sue pom I have, it was the recipe that landed me my current job. Unfortunately, all the 400+ recipes I have on here are the property of my company and I'm expressly forbidden to make them public. But I am on the discord here as Babylon_Mike and I'll gladly help you along in private.
Really nice lemon vape. Bit strong for a shake and vape but after a couple of weeks it calms down and is beautiful. Well done mate. Missing the biscuit aftertaste of dinner lady is a shame but it is still a lovely vape.
I bought the one shot from dark star just to see if I like it I'm nearly sure it's your recipe Darren I made it up I'm going to let it steep for a week and try it if I like it I'll buy the conc that I'm missing for this recipe thanks for sharing
I want to start by saying that this is the best DIY recipe I have tried so far.
I'm a fan of Dinner Lady's lemon tart and I currently have a bottle of it.
So, comparing the DIY and original after a week of steeping I can say they are very close, but not 1:1.
The lemon is very nice on the DIY, currently it is much brighter than the DL, but this is likely due to the fact that the bottle I own was opened long time ago and the lemon became muted. Judging by memory I would say the lemon is the same.
However, there is something missing from bakery notes which bugs me.
I believe you should add FA custard premium or put it instead of FA custard pi 3.14.
I added custard premium to a small part of the juice I made and I believe it is already closer to the original, but I can say for sure after some steeping.
The original is also a bit sweeter, but I'm not considering the sweetness as a part of the flavor and also its very easy to just add more sweetener according to your taste.
Anyway, best recipe I tried. Job well done! Thanks for sharing, this will be part of my ADV mixes for sure.
I use dinner lady lemon tart its my ADV i have go through a lot of this stuff around 2 bottles a week easily 100ML of the 50ml shortfall and the lemon is none existent in smell or taste, very sorry but all mine smells of is a standard biscuit base, used scaled purchased every thing and mixed a 30ml batch up and it is nothing like dinner lady lemon tart not at all...
Tried every remix / clone out there nothing comes close..But i will mix another tomorrow just to prove that i did not make any mistakes, used the exact same recipe flavours and every thing..
Last 30ml batch was tested every 7 days week 3 and still the same.
Upped the lemon slightly and lemon meringue pie see if that helps also added 2% apple pie to try and help bring the lemon out and add more butter to the mix i will do a 10ml batch tomorrow and update in a few weeks, because this would save me a fortune.
TFA apple pie it would help bring the lemon too the front while adding some more of a buttery crust, i am working on my own version, this is not even a curd taste in this recipe, im going to start with splitting it up into different sections then layer it together, i think what people are making is just a lemon meringue pie, the pastry of the real dinner ladies lemon tart is nothing like this clone/remix just live every single other one i have see..
Mine might be no better but i know they will have made it as simple as they can i have tried every remix out there and none come close..
Its a lemon curd which is very subtle, its a light pastry with a graham cracker smell and taste personally i think its simpler than people are
making out..It feels like meringue/graham cracker/the butter seems like it comes along with the pastry not actually made up of CAP golden butter..
Its almost like a lemon curd frosting with a slight buttery pastry and that is it, but very well balanced..If it takes me 8 months too work out i will, but these recipes are over kill they a very heavy and very rich pastry base mixes, that is nothing more than a lemon meringue pie on crack !!
I have tried every single one trust me and none come close, either these people have not made it or have not tested it against the real thing..Something is off with the comments, it might make a nice lemon meringue pie that is full of extra lemon meringue pie bases and toppings,
I will get this right because love the original so much just ordered another 2x 50ml bottles for this week..I had tried so many combinations of peoples remixes and clones that when i sat back and let them sit for 1 to 6 weeks and some times longer, then went over the recipes it downed on me these are over kill for what it actually is..
No way does it contain all of these and the most of the remixes i found where very harsh on the throat one was like swallowing razor blades..
Thing is i'm not wasting any more money i would rather work this out myself than keep trying clones/remixes that are completely off from the original mix..
Keeping it simple & balanced is going to be the key to this..Nothing more than a lemon curd frosting & well balanced buttery pastry..
VapeDayz, I think the only difference between this recipe and the original is FA Custard Premium. This one just lacks the custard, for me custard pi 3.14 doesn't taste like custard at all. Just add 1% Custard Premium to this and for me it is 1:1. If you try it please let me know what you think
VapeDayz
I do not think it has custard in it at all. It never darkens as mixes with custard do. I have done it with Apple Pie and it is closer but not exact. It is listed with my name in the recipes here
Sue Pom, I'm 100% sure it has custard. The custard that I use doesn't darken the mix, it makes it slightly yellowish which is exactly the color of the original Dinner Lady
HA. I would never claim 100% knowledge of anything I did not make myself but have at it. Might be wise to make your own post and not hijack this guys recipe any further.
You can taste the custard very clearly in DL LT, so yeah, I'm 100% sure. I'm commenting about this recipe, so this is the perfect place to do it. Not sure what do you mean by "highjacking" the recipe, as I don't claim I invented the recipe (Thats why I comment here and not making my "own" post, got it ?). Just sharing my findings, which I believe a lot people here might find useful, that if you add 1% FA Custard premium to this recipe it becomes 1:1 as the original. And i'm not saying that by the memory I have of the original, I currently have a bottle of the original, I have tried both on Wotofo Profile RDA with nexMesh and 22mm cap, they are the same.
Just saying if you are so sure of it, post your own recipe and the comments begin over there. I did. I changed what I felt needed changing and posted my own. Custard Premium DLLT has been done.
All I am saying is: Custard Premium has been done. Apple Pie has been done. If you feel you invented something good, post your recipe and the people will give their opinions. This place is for opinions of this guys juice, maybe a comment or two of what you added. Make your own place for your stuff
I agree people may like it but this is a remix so its all good, not to my taste, but each too their own, I also got some more of there original not in the glass bottle, it was much sweeter not as buttery and did not seem the same :( i think they have actually changed there recipe..I will work on it this year and post it up for people..
Arni it was unvapable for me put it this way try HICS LMP much better than dinner lady lemon tart :)) I mixed this and it ended up in the bin, i dont know how people are saying its nice is use 24 tsunami rda fuzz cotton might be just me but i did not enjoy it at all..
Even custard pi ??what is the point you can use ehumm custard FA just the normal one it comes with its own lemon notes..It might be just me but this recipe did not work out, i will try and mix it again next week and comment again to rule out any issues with the concentrates i used.
Nerradeloc repeatedly stated that this recipe is not a clone and wasn't intended to be a clone. He just remixed what seemed a good lemon tart to him. I leave out the Golden Butter and increased the Bisquit by 0.5%,(it has a buttery note by itself). Add Pie Crust, 0.5% and see how that works. I'm not sure about the Custard though. I'm also thinking of toning down the Lemon Sicily by 0.5-1% and add Lime Key instead (only 5 days before vaping it; it fades quickly).
This was the juice that got me into DIY. I tasted it the first time while visiting a friend and thought it was OK, but then I got to taste it again 2 weeks later when it had steeped. Completely blown away. I go through embarrassing amounts of it. I have substituted Custard Pi with CAP's Custard, and it works fine. Not perfection, but fine. I steep for 15 mins in hot water, recycle the air, and steep for 15 more. Still gets better with time though, allow 2 weeks if you have the self-control.
I don't get it i use dinner ladys lemon tart daily for a very long time, ive spent a lot of money on it, but this recipe is missing the buttery pastry and tastes nothing like the original..?How can so many people say its like the original its clearly nothing like it...Hics LMP is my 2nd ADV but i find this un-vapable for me..Nothing like the original sorry but its not.
VapeDayz, I agree completely. But, I was unable to find any vendors with Lemon Pi 3.14, so maybe that makes a difference? I don't know. I don't really care for this recipe. I added a bit of FA Joy, seems a bit better. Maybe flavors have changed over time?
OMGEE VapeDayz! I feel you must have better things to do then spend months stalking and criticizing this guys mix. He likes it, he shared it. Others like it. Lay off. Make your own, your so darn sure you know whats so wrong with this one. We will all go to yours and trash talk it. If you do not like it move on past it.
NERRADELOC Thanks for the recipe, i love it. Made a 30ml bottle for test and after 5 day steep it feels amazing, will mix up larger bottle and let it steep for some time! Thanks 5/5
I want to tell everyone here, this is a good recipe, as NERRADELOC said this is REMIX, you are not looking for a clone here. If you're interested, the original dinner lady has Lemon Cake - Inawera Flavors and Torrone (Nougat) - Flavor Art in it. Try playing with the percentages, I'm trying and I'm close.
A CC non-derivative recipe? Then why bother posting it on a website which so strongly supports adaptation of recipes? Obviously, open-source licenses in general are rather non-enforceable—particularly without a ton of money—but I've got to seriously question the mindset of a person who feels the urge to present such a license here.
In my opinion. This isn't it. I borrowed golden butter off a buddy of mine, I've vaped the real dinner lady.. this isn't it. I'm sorry. Not enough lemon, and I know for a fact Cheesecake Graham crust is in the legit version. You can taste it. Will I make this again? Nah.
why do you call it dinner lady lemon tart? this recipe has nothing like the original dinner lady. It is a good liquid if freshly vaped with a few days of steep.... after a month the lemon disappears and all the other flavors prevail. I will certainly not prepare it anymore.
