Remade on 5/5 last made 3/14 added VBG and thus far it's really good ! Sweet enough for me but not real sweet creamy but not over the top and not custard cream either which I love just wanted cream. Give it a shot it !
Yes it would but extra is sweeter and has a nice Berry taste. Some ppl use wild thou. I would imagine wild would be more of a ripe Berry taste and not as sweet. I haven't ever used it alone without another fruit with it. Hey it may be very good. I still think this recipe needs a lil tweaking. Let me know how it is !
Hey Amy. I was looking for a reason to revisit Blueberry extra. I really enjoy this very simple recipe.I made it at 7%. Heat steep for an hour, vigorous shake and then three days steeping. I went through 15mls of this last night :)
Adding the BB Candy was just a lil sweeter it didn't go overboard or anything even with the pyrue sweetener. I think it is still too new to be for sure how it steeps in the long run thou if the pyrue ends up funky or not so far it's been a clean addition as a added sweetener. Just fyi
Bani_Lies I do SnV it but I'd say within 2 weeks you'll have all notes be more prominent and by 1 month it'll be very very creamy. Truthfully it is so much more cream than BBs but if your into cream and a splash of berries then this will be a treat. I hope you like it. For me I actually really like it fresh and then I come back to it a few weeks later and it's like a whole nother juice. 6-7% BB extra choice is yours. Test it and let me know how ya like it. It's an older recipe of mine but it's so good and simple I really haven't ever changed it.
Been like 3 days and it smells like a candy blueberry, not so much on the creamy aspect yet. The taste is very nice. Blueberry with a hint of cream. The cream note is not custard but even outs the blueberry. I vaped at 0.61 Ohms at 25 Watts with the air flow closed halfway on the Serpent Alto. The coil build is 6 wrap 24G Kanthal, single coil. I am going to try on my RDA soon but in terms of flavor vaping, I love it. I will update in a few weeks to see how it is on an RDA. Great ADV!
Amol Sathe that is the lovely thing about DIY u can sub whatever you'd like just use the adapt option under the blue wrench. However I know that vac cream goes great w/ BB ! Choice is yours 😊
Just vaped this after a three day steep. Just before I was juicing out to some Unicorn Milk (it was OKAY). This, blows that milk out of the water! Definitely adding this to one of my favorites.
@Amy*** - I have BB Extra and love it in many recipes. I also have BB Wild but don't have the BB Candy. How would you suggest subbing wild for candy, perhaps upping ones of the sweeter notes to cover the loss, or maybe a touch of sweetener instead? Thanks.
Just under the notes on this recipe where it says translate there is a paragraph do you have to do that to this recipe add those drops that it mentions? Also what is/does VBG stand for?
No you don't have to adjust to the adaption of Blueberry ( BB for short ) candy nor do you have to use the sweetener. 3/28 is the date and it's more of a note to me as a timeline from when I made the batch til when I decided to put a few more drops of another flavoring in it.
@Amy*** - Speaking of which, I have had a bottle of VBG for about 6 months now and imo, not yet found anything worth trying it in, but I liked your idea of trying some in this recipe. I'm very curious how it turned out, and if well, how much did you add?
I think I’m going to make it again and not add the cotton candy because I’m not sure about it being a beginner I’m just not sure if that works as a sweetener well
Tara you can feel free to use B.B. candy and or cotton candy as a sweeter addition to the recipe. That’s the wonderful thing about DIY ! Adapt away of course your results could yield slightly different results. VBG is essentially A vanilla ice cream with the custard notes removed in the TPA line. Glad you enjoyed it !
@RaGCaR I truthfully am not sure how much VBG I added but if I were to make this again using some in this recipe I’d feel comfortable using it at 1.25-2.0 % of course the question would be what % would you lower the whipped cream down to so as to not dilute the VBG which can come off creamy but not over the top creamy. You may choose to do away with the whipped cream or use it at 1/2 the original so around 1.50% I wish I had written a note on my results so sorry ! If you try it maybe you can remember to report your results 😁
