Notes
Excision paradox is supposed to be a pitch black Mountain dew. I can't believe it is this simple to make . if I was blind folded I couldn't tell the difference from the clone to the authentic lol. 0.6% of super sweet is more authentic to the original, but can be lowered to 0.5% if you don't like sweet vapes!

For a paradox remix substitute Citrus punch with CAP lemon-lime. I personally think its better but the original is more accurate to the actual e liquid

How do you know this is exact? Did u find the recipe somewhere?
#2 by Candyman, Nov 8. 2016, 21:04
Because I have the excision now and I can't taste one bit of difference
#3 by vaped, Nov 20. 2016, 17:22
What brand of flavor do you use? Flavor West?
#4 by Candyman, Nov 21. 2016, 09:54
Sorry I didn't add the brand. Grape Soda is FW and citrus punch is TFA
#5 by Xcaves!, Dec 6. 2016, 20:57
You are genius! I swear. I mixed 15 ml and shook it and put it in an ultrasonic device for 20 minutes. I waited 2 hours. OOOOO Myyyyyy Gooood. This is my all day vape. I just ordered the ingredients that would last for 4 months. They are mixed in a way that makes you think it is all an awesome piece of candy. You have no idea how much happy I am. I have been looking for this a long time ago. MY SALVATION. Really really really Thank you so much! I believe you recommended this for me and another recipe. I forgot the name of the other recipe. I appreciate it if you remind me.
#6 by Candyman, Dec 11. 2016, 09:16

Oh my god!!! I just started DIY not even a month ago and I was just thinking that right when I went DIY excision paradox was my ADV. Decided to search to see if there was something similar and this came up and I swear there not a difference at all to the real thing. This has to be the exact recipe!! Thanks man I'm about to make 250mls of this and it will barely last me 2 weeks!!
#10 by ddigz, Jan 25. 2017, 22:58
Is there a steep time on this? I just mixed a batch and feel the grape flavor isn't quite as strong as Paradox. I'm vaping them side by side, and the batch I mixed seems to be lacking in the grape department. I've never used this Grape Soda FW before, and am wondering if it requires a steep to open up a bit.
#11 by Candyman, Feb 6. 2017, 03:52
like a week. try upping the grape soda
#12 by Xcaves!, Feb 9. 2017, 07:34
30/70 is much better than max VG
#13 by Candyman, Feb 16. 2017, 05:06
yes I do 70/30 now! not sure why I had It as Mac VG. Grape soda is kinda weak so yes the few adjustments really helped!
#14 by Candyman, Feb 16. 2017, 19:50
and you are welcome! glad to share! if you like grape you should get wonder flavours sweet and sour purple drink . They carry it at gremlinDIY. I do 10% s&s purple drink and 4% grape soda and it's amazing!
#15 by greattwitcher, May 15. 2017, 08:40

Reminded today of how much this killed my coils. I think it was ok when I made this though
#26 by JobeyG, Nov 9. 2017, 23:47
Mixed my first batch today, I mean wow. Good fresh out the gate, Could only get better with time! What is the recommended steeping time for ultimate perfection?
#27 by DarkJester89, Nov 10. 2017, 15:28
Citrus punch can be harsh, usually like 3 days maybe?
#28 by TwoTone, Nov 16. 2017, 23:34
Wow.. This is great! Left to steep for 12 days and turned out tasty..
Thank You;-)
#29 by Jammy, Nov 21. 2017, 18:23
What would be the Nicotine percentage to make this 3mg?
#30 by DarkJester89, Nov 21. 2017, 19:46
adapt this to 3mg
#31 by Max, Nov 28. 2017, 16:13
can TFA grape soda be used instead of FW?
#32 by Bfuyu, Feb 12. 2018, 03:39
Tried Using Lemon Lime CAP and it was amazing can't wait to try it with Citrus Punch now that I just got my order from Bull City!
#33 by KouKou Vapes, Mar 13. 2018, 07:58
I must admit, this is pretty good. However I am vaping both the original and this and I feel that this is missing something.... on their website they say "dark fruits", but I can't pin point it. Even the smell of the original point at some missing fruit they are using.
#34 by JakeVapes, Mar 24. 2018, 17:22
This juice is one of my all time favourites, but I do agree that it’s missing a slight menthol/koolada/cold hit. The original has that cool medicine-y touch, but I can’t identify what it is.
#35 by 8062282, Jun 3. 2018, 18:28
Really enjoyed this. Will definitely make more. I dropped the sweetener to .5% though. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing it..
#36 by IndigoOwl, Jun 24. 2018, 07:48
Never had the original juice, but this is amazing.
#37 by Thin_Mints, Jun 26. 2018, 09:35
This is one of the very few mixes I’ve made that I really enjoy, 5/5 great work.
#38 by Covert, Jul 15. 2018, 05:04
This is really good. Tad sweet but still a good recipe. Thanks
#39 by Samoya, Jul 17. 2018, 11:58
Its probably just me and the flavor is great but I get a metallic after taste which is a bummer
I taste this in the juice on exhale in the moisture on my lips
Maybe someone can explain why lol
Great work mate I wish i could enjoy it 100% but like i said I'm sure its something with me
#40 by Howard Hughes, Jul 18. 2018, 14:59
I made this about 3 weeks & it is really good. Thinking of trying it next with the Lemon Lime sub for the Citrus Punch you suggested. What percentage of the LL did you use when doing that? Still the 3%?
#41 by Samsound, Aug 31. 2018, 05:46
I don't know. After mixing this up twice - less SuperSweet second time, it was still too sweet. I finally tasted the original, and it has a much darker, richer taste - not as sweet and bright as this. I added to the bottle a few drops of Cap Blackberry, and one drop of MTS Vape Wizard, and I think it's definitely much closer. I'll let you know what I end up with.
#42 by Howard Hughes, Aug 31. 2018, 20:05
I made it again, this time subbing in the lemon lime for citrus punch & it's still really sweet, but I like it better. I believe I will make it again with less sweetener & maybe even try to come in around 18% on total flavoring. I DO like it or I just wouldn't make it again (or the second time either).
#43 by EyeMsam, Oct 16. 2018, 04:10
Does the grape soda need to be that hiiiggghhh!?!?
#44 by Fooeva, Feb 13. 2019, 12:07
Delicious!! One of my favorite adv's. Thanks for the recipe!
#45 by runean, Feb 21. 2019, 16:46
Jesus christ, 16% Grape soda, PLUS sweetener? Bye coil!
#46 by v3dg, Mar 17. 2019, 11:24
Absolutely delicious! I was looking for a new recipe after making the same thing for about 2 years and just kinda gambled on this one thinking it would maybe suck (there was still hope though). Boy was I wrong! Obviously taste is subjective, but this one really seems to hit the bill for me. Already re-ordered concentrates to make 2L. Will most likely cut down of sweetner though... Thank you!
#47 by Steeping Clouds, May 26. 2019, 14:43
finally got round to making this after waiting for my ingredients seen all the hype on this and thought id jump on the wagon ill leave this to steep for 2 weeks and leave another comment cant wait to try it though
#48 by JuiceChu, Aug 4. 2019, 09:13
Will the same percentage be fine for pods devices? Wanting to make 40mg. Your help is much appreciated :)
#49 by Kim, Aug 8. 2019, 04:32
Wow its amazing !!! Our very first ejuice we ever made and its spot on !!! My mind is blown.!! Thank you so much
#50 by Kitten, Oct 29. 2019, 05:55
Love this!! I’ve made it many times now and it’s one of my favorites. I did sub LB Dew Mountain for Citrus Punch and I like it better with the LB Dew Mountain. Also tried adding blackberry and mts vape wizard from a previous comment. So good!!
#51 by Cisco, Nov 20. 2019, 06:50
One very sweet and tasty vape. Going to mix up a 120ml bottle next time and I also subbed Dew Mountain (LB) for the Citrus Punch (TPA).
#52 by AreTooMeToo, Jan 16. 2020, 01:23
Mixed up last night, and straight away is a great vape. Thanks for sharing
#53 by JB, Mar 14. 2020, 06:35
I recently ordered some Paradox to see if I would like it before ordering the flavors to make this recipe. To me Paradox tastes exactly like Ruthless Grape Drank, which really just tastes kind of like a slightly sweeter grape juice-ish flavor. Not even close to Pitch Black Mountain Dew imo.

For those of you that have made this recipe would you say this is identical to Paradox or does the Dew flavor stand out more or less in this one? I would really like to get more of that Dew flavor with a good grape balance to mimic the pitch black flavor better, but I've never used mountain dew as a flavoring so I'm not sure the nuances of it. I imagine like most citrus flavors it doesn't take much citrus to dominate an entire recipe so I don't know if it would be as simple as adjusting the percentages to boost that Mountain Dew.

top 3 diy recipe, add 4% of koolada
#55 by NXCESS, Mar 31. 2020, 00:51
Spot on. Thanks!
#56 by Blaze up, May 9. 2020, 00:36
any advice on making this for a pod system? 35-40mg?
#57 by Henning, Jun 9. 2020, 20:05
WOW just stumbled across this one. Simple and just amazing 😉
#58 by Kitten, Jun 9. 2020, 20:12
This is one of my favorites, just mixed it up again with 1% WS-23 added. So good.
#59 by Chuk, Jul 7. 2020, 05:20
Great job
#60 by Darcy82, Jul 7. 2020, 17:04
Just finished my first 15ml batch of this one. Omg this is so good. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Will definitely be making this one in my rotation.
#61 by Jimoco182, Aug 29. 2020, 11:16
Haven't tried the original but this is delicious. Didn't have Super Sweet so subbed in FW Sweetener slightly higher. Could drink this
#62 by JoeG, Sep 5. 2020, 20:38
Is 16% grape soda really necessary? I'd love to mix it up because I love the Paradox.
#63 by flare, Sep 20. 2020, 00:38
I was pretty nervous this was gonna be waaay too sugary but it turned out fucking perfect
cheers friend!
#64 by Irish_Bohemian, Sep 20. 2020, 21:57
to everyone asking if you can lower the grape soda, yes. I mix this up with Puilum grape soda at 6%. I like this one over FW. It is very good with the 6%. FYI I never made it with the Grape soda at 16% so I can't compare it to the original recipe.
#65 by voided, Sep 24. 2020, 23:04
this recipe tastes alright but its very dry. what can i do to fix this?
#66 by Exacto Juice, Oct 13. 2020, 21:49
Just wanted to say that this recipe is absolute awesome. Been trying out a lot of grape recipes lately and so far this is the best. I did drop the Citrus Punch (Mt. Dew) (TPA) down to 1% to remove the Mountain Dew flavor a bit, while maintain some carbonation. I did that to bring the grape flavor forward even more. Well done!
#67 by isko, Oct 25. 2020, 10:19
If the ration is 50vg / 50pg the flavoring still the same?.. TIA
#68 by mmlo7_001, Nov 9. 2020, 12:21
Thanks allot, it’s the exact flavor 100%
#69 by t0rn, May 26. 2021, 13:03
is Grape Soda (FW) really 16%
#70 by vapingcatpiss, Dec 3. 2021, 20:57
some modern mixing tips if you're looking to mix this in 2021 forward/answering some questions asked later on:

1. FW grape soda is 30-40% sucralose already... use some logic and don't waste your super sweet.

2. as for the 16% flavouring, since this isn't 2016, you likely vape sub-ohm, rd(t)a or POD... if you use pods, meh, do whatever you want... but if you vape using anything that's more modern, drop that 16% to 8% (or lower) and see #3

3. take out TPA sour completely. it's useless in this recipe when you adjust %'s, it's the reason why FW grape soda needed to be 16%. there's much better ways to make the grapes "pop" (google "diyordie stop using TFA sour!" for full details)... try adding 0.75% FA Lemon Sicily or really any lemon flavouring at a low %... you get the Citric Acid without the muting, yay!

4. you're an animal if you're not using ws-23, get some and become cool
#71 by EyeMsam, Dec 4. 2021, 04:21
^^ GREAT ADVICE

and for fucks sake use a different grape. Check out my recipe on ATF called Pitch Blackk. Flv and FE grape are sweet enough for a soda base as well.
#72 by v3dg, Dec 30. 2021, 05:32
^^ to post #70
This has been my ADV for the past 2 years. For my next batch I will try with your changes. Since I have never used WS-23 before, how much would you recommend?

I will also attempt the recipe from post #71 to compare.
#73 by Dmanz, Jun 17. 2022, 00:06
I have made many top rated juices but I keep coming back to this one for my ADV
#74 by SuperNate, Feb 28. 2023, 05:40
I mixed it. I vaped it. It's the same. This needs more 5 stars than it has.
#75 by rafanake, May 24, 16:44
Have anyone tried this with a reduced amount of Soda Grape? 16% sounds like too much for me
#76 by Samson, Nov 9, 17:09
Yes, that's a lot.
