It really good at 3 weeks. Btween week 1 and 2 it gets a little weird but good as a shake n vape up til that time and then after. I've gone through 500ml of this in about a month

Great as a shake and vape. Just made 100% vg and 0mg nic and its a delight straight off the bat. Will have to make a bigger batch as mine will run out before any meaningful steeping has taken place.

one of my favorite diy's. i just started mixing. at 0mg this thing is a gem! with nicotine added though, it just doesn't have the same shine. what can i do to fix my nic problem? its messing up my recipes. got 100mg/ml from ecigexpress a couple weeks ago. i diluted some of it down to 60mg/ml but it has the same problem.

George, low quality nicotine mutes flavor. I use vapertek nic or vape clarity nicotine. It costs more but worth it.

@Sanchez yes but drop the amount by a percent. Let it steep for a couple days as the strawberry (TPA) is a bit strong at first. JmO

Sanchez; yeah that will work out fine mate, I don't see why not. It might not be as sweet but i usually favour the plain strawberry personally! the Ripe is more of a bendable flavour by the looks of things. it might bring the strawberry forward abit, have ago and let us know!

Have mixed this up with the custard at 3%, have to say it is really nice and smooth, the cheesecake is a nice mellow cheesecake and you can really taste the graham crust. tastes more like pastry crust to me, is that what graham crust actually is, something we call Pastry over here in England?

Tastes like a light creamy cheesecake with a touch of light strawberry. This is a nice change to all the strawberry creams about! Must mix a decent batch of this. How long does it keep, anybody know?

It actually tastes like I'm eating some sort of pastry dish, abit like them cheese and bacon pastry melt's just without the bacon! The strawberry ripe in this after a shake hot bath n vape tastes more like a tangy tomato to me! Yum yum :-)
Not sure why it's named strawberry fog though lol as I ain't tasted any strawberries like this heh great flavour bending here according to my palate! I suppose strawberries and tomato's are the same colour? nevermind ;-)

@SplifD My last batch of this stuff was great, but after about a week it started to go flat, so on a whim I added 2 drops of MTS Vape Wizard. The next morning it was much more rounded, and all the flavors had more definition.

@EdgeKrusher187 wouldn't that kind of make the strawberry disappear. As far as I understood, MTS VW boost base notes (in this case the custard/cream/cheesecake) and since many report the strawberry to be very subtle already, wouldn't it just make it disappear almost completely.

@nodayef Use the DX versions of the flavors if these concentrations of Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl concern you.

@SamehCena - Strawberry and Cream is a much different flavor than Ripe Strawberry. It already has a cream profile so I'm not sure how it'd change this flavor.
On the Brands, TFA (The Flavor Apprentice) is the same as TPA (The Perfumer's apprentice).

For a fun twist put 1 drop of FA lime tahity per 10ml. It's brings out the coconut in the cheesecake graham cracker crust. Some hits are creamy strawberry with a slight coconut undertone and other hits are like a creamy strawberry limeade. Probably sounds funny and lime is definitely not overpowering at all. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Made this up today but subbed the custard for Cap's version 1 and made at 30/70. First drag was extremely tasty. Can't wait to let it sit for a few days to see how it all comes together.

I might have messed it up in the breathing process (left it for too long without cap), but I made the exact recipe except I added 2 drops of MTS Vape Wizard. It really does not taste good at all! I'm not sure where I messed up, will maybe give it ago when I get new coils and then I will leave out the VW and I will not mess up the breathing/steeping. I was just so surprised it tasted that bad, considering so many people liked it.

@ SplifD: There is no need to breath this nor 99% of other flavorings. The only time one would do so id with alcohol heavy flavorings and they are very few. Some of the flavor aromas in this mix are very volatile which means they break down quickly when you breath them, most fruits break down quickly.

Try making it again and just letting it sit, closed, for a couple weeks. If you still dont like it perhaps Strawberry Ripe (TFA) is not a flavoring you enjoy, there are some people who do not like it as it contains Butyric Acid to give it the ripe smell.

Hope this information helps you in the future.

I've been using this recipe for about two months now. I found it after trying apwroblewski's Mother's Unicorn Milk recipe and I noticed that recipe is the same one except without TFA Sweet Cream. Without steeping I believe the Mother's Unicorn Milk tastes better. With steeping, I believe the Strawberry Fog juice will taste better. Also, in my opinion, neither of these flavors are shake-and-vapes. I would hold off about 3-4 days before vaping.

I must say this recipe is the best recipe to date from all the recipes i tried from here. The only thing i did different i used Vanilla Custard from Flavorah at .08 % this custard puts all the other vanilla custards to shame.and mixed my strawberry's 3 % ripe 3 % Inawera and 1 % Flavorah Flavorah is becoming one of my favorite ejuice company.
There are more expensive but you use alot less.

6% strawberry ripe is were I made mine, I don't notice any difference after 6% of ripe, it just seems to gas out after 6% in my experience

This stuff is the bomb! Really good smooth strawberry cream that has some good weight and mouth feel even at the 70\30 ratio I made it at. I usually vape 4.5-6mg nic, but I made this at 9mg and it's still as smooth as can be. If you like strawberry & cream, you'd be an idiot not to try this mix.

You could give it a shot rheaa, taste is subject and people prefer different things. I'd go with a 4/4 or 5/5 with CAP sweet strawberry and TFA strawberry ripe instead of a 3% if I were you, especially if your having trouble tasting the strawberry. Strawberry Ripe contains EM, so one of the reasons this recipe is so tasty to people is due to the sweetness gained from %10 strawberry ripe.

which one is sweeter strawberry ripe or regular strawberry? Wondering if I put in blueberry jam and take out the custard and put in catalan cream in its place how would it be. I will make the original with the mix of strawberries since it sounds so good but I love cream brulee and the blueberry jam. Thoughts?

I just made the exact recipe and let it sit unit now and it is amazing. I need to get a little more strawberry flavor out of it so how would I go about doing that or maybe to make it a little sweeter? I love the creamy taste of it and would like it to be a little more creamy for me but not taste like cheesecake full on. Any suggestions? But the way it is now is amazing!!

@Rheaa, you can use ripe strawberry at around 4-5% and still get the same outcome as using it at 10%. So if you want more strawberry, use ripe at 4% and throw in some sweet strawberry (CAP) to bring the strawberry out more. If you dont like the cheesecake alot, lower the % of it and throw in some sweet cream (like 1-2%) that will help it get more creamier. Make a few small batches and take notes!! Thats a must. Then you will see which one works for you. Steep for a week and try, then take notes again! You could also try meringue (FA) instead of sweet cream. The best way i would do it is make a few 10ml batches and experiment and if you find something that works, comment back and show notes for the original poster to see, and us :)

I love Strawberry Fog! You can also try this recipe for another strawberry juice. It makes a nice compliment to Fog. It's "Adirondack Vapor - Saratoga clone" on e-liquid recipes. Slightly more graham cracker and still creamy strawberry.

I've tried different strawberries, different blueberries, cap vanilla custard, tfa apple pie. You could also mix a couple, like banana and strawberry. I haven't made a juice using this base that I didn't enjoy.

This is spectacular after a two-day steep. Initially - as a Shake-and-Vape it didn't particularly strike me as anything too exceptionally different from any of the spur-of-the-moment Cheesecake GC + Ripe Strawberry mixes I had tried of my own in the past; but that is by no means a drawback. It's a five-star flavour once it's had a little time to "marinate" if you like.
Although I'll admit I was initially motivated to give it a whirl because of how it was praised as a strong shake-and-vape recipe since I needed something quick & immediately to vape at the time. I'm just glad I made 100ml of it (which I did with confidence thanks to the number of high-praise & feedback - all deserving) and set 75ml of it aside in the cupboard.

After tasting it again this morning I just went ahead and made another 100ml of it, so I've got plenty in reserve (that's had time to steep) to last me plus if I ever feel like putting aside a few 10ml bottles for friends to try! Back in September I made a 480ml batch of this, did Shake N Vape on a 60ml bottle which was great from the start and left the other 420ml's to steep and just recently vaped the first of that batch and this stuff just keeps getting better with age. Love this juice, it's an ADV for me.

I had to come back and comment on this one ... it's really amazing! I don't like custard flavors as my taste buds pick it out and immediately make it taste bad! I subbed the custard to vanilla bean ice cream and this is something I am going to make 100ml of right now!!!

Hey guys im new to diy and vaping in general but i seem to get a real cheesecake taste from this but not so much strawberry like all the recipes ive made on this my first attempt i dont seem to get enough fruit my question is should i just double the straw ripe or maybe and another 10% tfa strawberry i also tried a sucker punch clone and it was great but weak so i was gonna x1.25 all the ingredients in that thoughts opinions by experienced diy would be appreciated i think smoking has killed my taste buds lol

@Cracked, this recipe is a decent shake n vape however let it steep a week and you'll see the strawberry start to really come out. I wouldn't recommend going x1.25 on all the ingredients on this particular one.

I put less C(GC) in than was advised but it's still really overpowering at the moment, I've only made a 15ml taster to start with. I'll let it steep for a week and hopefully the strawb will start to show. From reading some of the recent comments it seems that this should hopefully happen. First proper recipe I've made, very much looking forward to seeing time work it's magic.

Its good but its turn out weared after 3days, i will give it a hot bath now and i already shake it every day cpl of times , , i guess its will be good after steeping time , but will it take more than 14 days ? As im planing to prepare anotheelr patch and i belive it will be good if i add the strawberry after some days any body try tha ? As strawberry never came out in the past 3days

@Tony - The strawberry starts out almost overpowering in this one and if anything, the steep time is to allow the strawb to mellow a little. Really strange that you're not getting the strawb right out of the gate.

@Peterk1 Thanks , I don't know why I can't find any strawberry taste only graham cast and some bavarian cream are there onlu some sweet creamy taste but not strong one ... i also used 1/2 ml cotton candy when i was preparing this ! is that the issue ?!
I just finish preparing 120 ml patch and use only 6 ml strawbery rip and will add the other 6 ml later with no cotton candy . But my issue is that I'm running out of juice and the firest 60ml only steeped for 3 days lol ... So I give it hot path and good shake today and will see if any thing will happend soon , should I add more strawberry rip ?

Mixed 60ml and aroma was gone after a few hours. Waited two weeks hoping the aroma will come back. Mixed another 60ml thinking I might have made some mistake the first time. Same result. Just no aroma at all. In the comments here several seem to have the same problem. Today I found the problem. I was using max VG base. Just added 20% PG and the aroma has come back! Really good!

Another update After a week the strawberry came out , very nice mix and i guess another week will even make it better but i cant wait and vape around 1/2 of my mix , i will prepare anothe batch but thinking about adding sweet vanilla

This is good but the strawberry doesn't pop -- maybe it will after steeping. Any ideas though to boost the strawberry? Maybe add some ethyl maltol or maybe some Capellas sweet strawberry? The Cheesecake GC blends very well with the BC.

I used Vanilla Bean Gelato along with the DX version of Bavarian cream -- it still tasted great. Took a long time for the strawberry to come out. Unfortunately now it's all gone and I don't have any more Cheesecake flavor left :(

This is the first recipe that i tried. I'm a total noob on DIY and vaping. This is my effort to stop smoking cigarettes and be healthy for my newly born daughter :)

I tried mixing 30ml batch and I don't really know whats wrong, is it the ingredients or my methods but it doesnt turn out to be a SnV recipe. I'll try to breakdown step by step that i've done.

- First i clean up my hands with alcohol and once its dry, i put on gloves
- Then i mix everything accordingly with the recipe
- After that i leave it in a hot water for 15 minutes with caps off, then put the caps on and shake it

First impression when i tried its flavorless, but the aroma is mainly cheesecake and cream. i hardly taste any hint of strawberry in it.
I'm gonna leave it for now and planning on shaking it daily.

So, did i miss something? Any inputs will be much appreciated

Newbie wait a few days. I vaped it right away after I made it as well, I had the same experience. The only reason I vaped it right away because I was totally out of juice. Also speed-steeping with hot water etc. is not a substitute for letting it sit for a few days.

In my opinion it doesn't accomplish much of anything. Other people disagree. Regardless, everyone agrees (at least I think everyone agrees) that speed-steeping or using a hot bath or whatever is not a substitute for actual steeping and letting it sit.
What I personally do with my blends is mix them with a dremel tool and then let them sit for a few days. I use a cork instead of a hard cap. Dunno if that makes a difference.

The idea with breathing is that it allows the perfume notes to escape from the bottle. Strawberry flavorings, in my experience, can have a lot of perfume notes. So yeah, that can help. Is it necessary and what is the science behind it? I don't know the answer to those q's -- sorry. I do let mine breathe I keep the cork sideways for the first day; so it's like half covered basically. I buy these cool cork bottles they are like mini wine bottles kinda, 120 mls.

Speaking for myself. I usually make 500ml's of this sensational juice at a time. I always steep naturally. For the 1st week, I shake it once a day, and put it back in a dark cabinet. After the 1st week, for this particular juice, I usually let it sit for a minimum of 1 month. For me, this tastes great at about the 7th week of steeping.

Yeah...this is one of the perils of making your own juice...Waiting 7 weeks for something to taste good is not what I would call a good deal esp when I go thru ~3-5 mls per day and need it now -- but there really is no substitution for a good steep.
At least none that I know of. Maybe Five Pawns or someone else has developed a method that can steep faster...Chemistry is awesome, wish I paid more attention in college :|

@srgz yeah i also done that today, putting the cap sideways so its like half covered. Perhaps there are "secret" methods of speed steeping that most ejuice company is using. But for now, i'll settle for "natural" steeping method and letting time do its job.

@monkey man that is a LONG steeping time, which is why perhaps most company is taglining their product as "premium", like five pawns etc. I personally can't wait that long since I'm going thru like 8-10 mls of juice per day. Looks like im still gonna buy juices for the next couple of weeks lol. One question tho, what's your mixing method with such big batch like that? Do u use kitchen mixer?

While steeping does allow the flavors to mellow, sometimes I'm just out of juice and I need some right now. I generally have success with rapid steeping using, of all things, a microwave.

The point of the hot water bath is that in order to taste right the juice needs to mix together evenly. It is a lot easier for it to mix well when it is warm as it is far less viscous.

For a 60ml bottle I microwave for 9 seconds, shake vigorously, then 5 seconds twice, shaking vigorously each time. This won't mellow the flavors perfectly as steeping for a week will, but it will get you vapable juice right away. And it is far quicker and more effective than a hot water bath.

See now I've also tried microwaving before, and it's never done anything for me. But I use a Dremel tool to mix, so im pretty confident that it's mixed up as much as it can be. Warming it up does thin the VG you're right. But I think if you mix with a drill or equivalent the result is more or less the same. I just made a different version of this using capellas cheesecake since I ran out of TFA's and it's been about five days steeping now and the strawberry just came out--tastes soooo good 😻

@Newbievapers - I only mix by hand. Meaning I shake the crap out of it for like 2 minutes. For me, its the GC that is very aromatic in the beginning. It's a little too much. That's why I steep it that long. Also, all the flavors mellow out. As time goes forward, the GC is less, and the strawberry becomes more pronounced. I make this for a friend at 1000ml's. But he likes the GC, so for him, I only steep it for about 1 month.

I also do a two minute shake by hand. This juice tastes pretty good right after mixing. Why not try making 3-4 bottles of it - crack one open right away and let the others sit. Really strange that people aren't tasting/smelling the Ripe Strawberry flavor - for me, that is a very, very powerful flavor and it's dominant in this one for both smell and taste right off the bat. Do the long steeping when you're mixing regularly and have some backlog to tide you over. I wouldn't wait 7 weeks for this one if I was just starting out.

The problem with backlog for people just starting out is you don't know if it's going to turn out good or not -- you could wait for it and then find out you either screwed up or it was a bad recipe to begin with :|
But yeah, once you get a few recipes down pat and you know they will be good, make a crapload of them and put them away for the future

Okay, after my first adjustment (comment #168) I added different strawberry flavors and the outcome was really good. Best part is no steeping needed, although as it steeps it gets better.

This one doesn't need breathing but you should shake it everyday.

I think this is a good example of flavor muting... Just like alot of the people on here I can't taste strawberry hardly... So after a week or 2 it dies off and then you can taste it... Strawberry should only be around 5% plus another strawberry like CAP Sweet strawberry or INW Shisha Strawberry 3%

@Geekvape Karma RDTA, SS316L spaced coils, 3mm 7 Wraps, Dual Coil, 0.16Ohm, Black Ring Mod, fresh battery, fresh cotton wick

Steeping: Just time based steeping, a shake every now and then. No hot bath, no breathing. Haven't tried it as a SNV

Smell: A pastry like strawberry cream. Cheesecake (or the graham crust to be more precise) is sitting on top of the cream.

Taste: After more than 3 weeks its very nice and smooth, it is quite a good morning vape for me. The strawberry is based on nice and thick vanilla cream and on top there are like crumbles of cheesecake.

Overall: The juice (a 20ml batch) was gone in no time - I really enjoyed it. There is a good chance that it will make it into my ADV rotation. Thank you for sharing the recipe! I rate it 4.5 out of 5

Ideas: Will try to lower the strawberry ripe a bit and add some regular TFA strawberry an see what it does

Not sure about flavour muting, maybe some people should brush their tongues, I mixed this on 15/03/17 & am only vaping it today 19/07/17, that's 4 months later, and it taste delicious, my whole front room smells like a field of fresh strawberries, I can taste sweet ripe strawberries with a hint of custard, the cracker gives it a nice body and the cream makes me want more and combines all these lovely flavours together, personally I don't think this needs another layer or Strawberry, I will be mixing this again and not changing a thing, mixed 100ml at 70 VG 30 PG 3 mg, vaping in an iJoy RDTA box (12.8ml), using the velocity style deck with Aliens at 1.7 ohm currently at 70w, although I'm turning this up to at least 98-120. My 1st diy attempt. Blown away. Realised straight away the 30ml I made would not last to steep for very long (no willpower to resist), so made a 50ml as well. As for the 30ml great at days 1, 2 and 3. Velvety, GC is prevalent but not as strong as commercial juices I have tried with GC, more subtle. Will see if steeping longer will raise StrRipe profile as a bit lost atm. Still better vape than any commercial one I have tried. Feel like I hit the jackpot at 1st attempt. The cheesecake flavor is very very overpowering in this mix. I taste 95% cheesecake (graham crust) and maybe 5% custard, not much cream or strawberry. (Shake n Vape) no steep

Mixed this 3 days ago having a hard time finding the strawberry, more cream than anything. I added 2% tfa marshmallow though. I was wondering if that muted the strawberry but after seeing I'm not the only one with this issue I'm not so sure that's what happened. This was my first mix and I mixed 200mL because I was so excited and I was out of juice lol that and I only have the ingredients for this recipe plus marshmallow. I'll admit I'm a little bummed. My palate is infamously picky so that probably has something to do with it as well. I'm starting to think that I need to just stick to candy recipes.

Hey guys n gals, not sure if I'm doing something wrong but made some of this up (2x 60ml to steep and 5x 10ml weekly testers) and after 1.5 weeks I can't stand the stuff. I tried it instantly as a SAV and it made me want to hurl which I find strange given so many have said it's awesome. The Graham Cracker is just too over-powering. I've just made up another 3x 10ml but reduced the GC by 50%. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated...

@ Angry Gaz Same issue here Gaz, I only made a 30mL bottle, but even close to a month later it tastes the exact same as day 1. The graham cracker and b. cream are overpowering for my taste, no strawberry flavor at all. I used 15 mL and mixed a straight strawberry blend to it, but still tastes the same. I think it is just a flavor some people like, but overall I'm not a fan of it, had high hopes from all the good reviews.

Did it and steeped for around a week and I must say it's a very good recipe however, I'd lower down the cheesecake or it overpowers the strawberry completely. Also boost the strawberry by 2-3%.

Vapehen you probably don't want to do that unless you are shake and vape. The longer this juice sits the better it taste because all the flavors come through. This stuff turn yellow about a month and that's when it's ready. Turns yellow Orange. Reason I'm telling u this is because this is my all day vape and has been for many months. It really is perfect the way it is esp if using sub ohm. I use Cleito 2 ohm at 55 watts and Cleito 4 ohm between 36 and 40watt. I make this in very large batches because it goes quick and I know it needs to steep about a month for it to even out. At 1 month the strawberry is very strong.

You guys could be right, I've had three or four juices that contain Strawberry Ripe, all steeping for three months or longer and there does seem to be an issue with this concentrate, either it disappears or becomes overwhelming depending on the other flavours used, larger quantities of Graham Cracker tend to kill it, where as Birthday Cake Mix seems to make it stronger. The only juice with SR in that's held up to the test of time for me is DIYorDIE the real Strawberry Cheesecake, this I've had in my cupboard for longer than 3 months and it still taste the same as it did when it was three weeks old, so maybe swapping the SR for Shisha is a good idea?

Huh that's strange. I make this in big batches using the exact recipe and ingredients. I always have a batch steeping. At the end of it the juice is about 4 months old before I use it all up and have to tap into the new batch. I think the longer it steeps the better it taste to me. I vape this stuff all the time and when I can't taste the strawberry all I do it take a few puffs of cinnamon danish swirl. I don't know why but it definitely does something to the taste buds and brings the strawberry out. I always have 2 vape mods going for this reason.

Wow you are definitely right about the strawberry ripe loosing it's flavor in this recipe. I just cracked open a bottle that's been steeping for 3 weeks and the strawberry is twice as strong as the 3 month old juice. I been vaping this stuff so long I guess I just didn't realize how weak it really is. I'm glad I decided to read these last few comments.

Hi there @Tonysdad yep it's a very strange phenomena, I only noticed due to different batches steeping, then I adapted @NotCharlesManson 's Birthday Cake into a Strawberry Cake and noticed as there is cake batter dip in there the SR now became more intense with a steep instead of disappearing. It seems Strawberry Ripe, is like a mutating Zombie virus that is selective on who or what it infects and can vary its growth or decrease rate, even becoming dormant at times only to come back when you least expect it, over take the host and it's good bye Vienna. You have all been warned, if you see this flavour in its concentrated form be very careful and approach with caution, mwuhahaha.

Had to downgrade this from a five to a four, could have gone three, although would have preferred three and a half, but there is no half, so four as three is too low, err, shall I go on... Ok, purely for the reasons mentioned above SR degrades with age due to the amount of cheesecake graham crust and this shouldn't happen considering the amount of Strawberry Ripe, done enough Strawberry cheesecake recipes now to know that I'm sticking with the real SC by Wayne.

As a shake and vape I really liked this. I let it steep for a couple of weeks and not so much. It seems like the strawberry disappeared, which is odd considering the 10%. I would give this a 4 for a rating though because the flavor that was there was really nice. Now it tastes after the steep like cereal milk with just light hint of strawberry on the exhale.

I love strawberries but not a big custard fan in vapes BUT just made a 100ml and then realised the TPA custard you used and so i had to substitute for the one i had. Will make it with TPA next time as I need to put a concentrates order in as this is gorgeous after a quick shake looking forward to this one a lot. Wayne I'm not so sure it's the cheesecake Graham cracker crust that is effecting this flavor. About 2 months ago I tried a strawberry cheesecake recipe that only uses cheesecake Graham cracker crust and strawberry ripe. It uses the same ratio as this recipe and 2 months later still has a nice strawberry flavor. It even has the same smell as my bottle of strawberry ripe. Is smells very strong of ripe strawberries. I'm thinking it has to be the Bavarian cream in this recipe that's causing it to loose it's flavor.

I did a stand alone of strawberry ripe at 10% and at no point throughout the month it sat in a 10 ml bottle did it taste like strawberry. It was also pretty harsh. I feel like it's just too much but reading through the comments it's hard to say. I know taste is subjective. I'm still new as well but I'm beginning to learn rather quickly that less really is more. I've made two delicious recipes and neither exceeded 10% in flavor with 4-5 ingredients and additives.

Hey @j3oT that’s all well and good bud and fair play to you if you’re digging your less than 10% recipes, I made one at just 3% which was good at first then it tasted like shit, not literally, it was just to thin and had little body, I checked out your recipe and see that you have sour in there, so you’re no doubt in the minority, and it’s good that you make mixes of individual concentrates to see what they taste like solo, although there is a reason mixers always pair strawberry ripe with strawberry sweet, together they both create a very accurate strawberry flavour. Taste is definitely subjective, keep it up, i’ll look forward to trying out one of your recipes in the near future ;)

Not a fan of this recipe. I made it on 9/10/2017, not my ideal SNV, and I personally feel the flavoring is a bit high. After almost 4 weeks the juice has turned a deep gold color, and has an odd taste emitting from the strawberry ripe. I find that that you get a better tasting/robust strawberry when mixing more than one strawberry such as tpa ripe strawberry and tpa strawberry, I'll even add a bit of dragon fruit to help give a more authentic taste. Again, just because I taste something different over you does not mean the recipe isn't great for the next guy.

Made this a few times in 60ml batches and with a week steep time it was absolutely amazing. I started making 200ml batches with the exact same percentages and now I'm getting an alcohol taste in it. I finally scrapped that batch and tried again and again I'm getting that same alcohol taste. Can you think of anything that can be causing this? I made sure the mason jars and all equipment used were clean so now I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mixed two 10ml batches. First 0mg Nicotine Second 3mg Nicotine. First problem I find is that it's quite sickly. Don't know if it's cause of the strawberry or something else but it tastes really sweet sickly. The 3mg Nicotine has quite harsh throat hit even though I'm using a decent 72mg/ml Nicotine. Any help please ?

This one is a delicious recipe. Best one among the strawberry/cake recipes in my opinion. But strawberry here is more like an undertone. Not "in your face" fruity strawberry.

Been experimenting with it for a while and yes, it is on the harsher side. And lowering the flavor percentages is a bad idea, you will lose the taste over time. (I actually bumped flavor total to %24 because cheesecake and strawberry ripe just wants to fly away anyway.) When i first tried this recipe on a shitty nbase, it was just not vapable. So harsh i would cough for minutes after a puff. Later i got my own vg, pg and nic from reputable brands and it was definitely better, but not quite on ADV level smoothness. What i can recommend for getting rid of the remaining harshness are 2 options.

First, you can use MTS Vape Wizard. It quickly eliminates harshess, a lot. 5 drops per 30 ml was enough for me. Doesn't manipulate the flavor in my experience, but makes the liquid a bir darker.

Second option, mix it without nicotine, let it steep for 2 weeks, then add nicotine and wait a day or two. Because high notes on the strawberry, cheesecake and bc stacks up and you need to wait for them to smooth out. Why add nicotine later? Because this is already on the harsher side and we don't want any more harshness from oxidized nicotine.

After doing these, it is so smooth and delicious i vape like 15ml on one sitting if i don't stop myself. If i have this one with me i don't want to vape anything else. I have seen and used many liquids from many liquid companies that are just a modified version of this recipe. But after doing the things i said, what i am able to make is better & smoother than almost all of them, at home, for cheaper.

@Enufsed1221 you need to let it breathe for 2 hours for a few days and the alcohol taste will be gone. You probably have VG that has been extracted using alcohol as a catalyst.

Yes you can Rinaldo I use it all the time in this recipe using the same percentage. I think Capella VC is a little weaker but it will work just fine in any recipe. I think it has a better taste than TPA and it's more commonly used.

This is one of my current favourites. At first it seemed average but it really came to life after 3 or 4 days. It's like cereal with strawberry milk. Delicious.

I made 100ml and both the Graham Cracker and Strawberry Ripe faded before I had finished the 100ml. I'll probably make 60ml batches in future. Or to stop the strawberry fading I might make the next batch with 5% (TFA) Strawberry (Ripe) and 5% (JF) Strawberry.Sweet. though I'm not sure how to stop the crust from the (TFA) Cheesecake (Graham Crust) from fading (apart from adding more and maybe ruining the recipe).

I made this recipe with 80VG/20PG 0.6mg nbase adding the same flavours except strawberry ripe. I use blueberry (TPA) instead of it. It comes little little bit sour what I like. Perfect modified recipe for me. I will mix 250ml today and wait at least 2 weeks.

This is my first DIY, i am getting cheescake on inhale and not enough strawberry on exhale, i added roughly 1 ml tpa sweetener to it and tried it as a shake and vape with 10 minute hot water bath. I used plastic bottle having mango flavour in it previously. What am i doing wrong any suggestion.

Really good shake and vape!!! I love the fresh tart strawberry taste note that hits the back of my throat, it had a strong strawberry taste at first but after a couple days it started blending really well. I love that its not too sweet just the right amount of sweetness for me which allows me to vape it all day, this is definitely a keeper thanks for the great recipe

@turor.p , TPA graham cracker is a good one to use along with another cheesecake such as NY Cheeses cake. The problem is that TPA graham cracker is just that, the graham cracker, no cheesecake. You really need the cream in this recipe or else it’s no good.

I have this as my ADV for at least a year - Tho i get less strawberry but that's normalt.. Always add 0,5% supersweet but over that it gets to prominent - So adding sweetener i would not go over 0.5 and keep it between 0.25-0.5. I get no funky taste af steeping and i mix it at 25/75 3mg..

This is a classic recipe now. I recommend new diy'ers try this one because it's easy and forgiving.
I have been out of 'cheesecake graham crust' so I have been using half-and-half 'cheesecakeTPA' and 'graham crackerTPA' and it is still turning out great.
I have also the mind to experiment with substituting the 'strawberry ripe' with different fruits. So far I have only tried it with 'wild blueberryTPA' and it is great. I have a feeling the three base ingredients mixed in this ratio will be great with any fruit. I bet dragonfruit will be good.

i made this last night, i followed the recepie exactly as it sez, and i shaked it alot and tryed it but i could not feel any taste at all, i will test it today aswell, but when i read comments about it it seem that its a recepie that should give good taste after mixing and shaking

This mix needs to steep a week like many other juices, but the strawberry hides away for some too, and the amount seems high but i find it suitable and i prefer the ripe as the sole strawberry, i have tried making it with Cap, FA and Ripe at the same 10% but still prefer the og recipe..

@ Spice, steep it for 4-7 days and try again.

I found it to be pretty muted also and bland as a shake n vape. After 5 days steep its starting to come through and it tastes amazing. I added .5% super sweet because I like a little sweetness. This one will definitely be in regular rotation in 120ml bottles. Highly recommended!

Great recipe! I have done it with Capella Vanilla Custard extracted 0.5 (This is what I have) and it is so good. After one night fantastic flavor.
It is a big to sweet for me. Is there anything I can do to make it less sweet , and still keep all the flavors?

One of the reasons it is sweet is bcus of the strawberry ripe and the content of ethyl maltol in that, you could mix another less sweet strawberry like FA red touch f.ex.. Or Maybe add fresh cream or yougurt so a sour addition would counteract the sweetness you want to get rid of. But the recipe will change as well as the taste..

I’m new to mixing a just bought a bunch of flavors then go to make this recipe and see that the flavors have Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl. What does this mean? I assume not harmful if it’s allowed to be used. But why the warning then? Do I need to do something different using mixing or steeping?

@Srcworm,Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl are what makes cream and custard flavors taste like cream and custard. Years ago there was a big scare that Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl could be harmful when vaped so most flavor companies made version of their cream and custard flavors available without Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl. other companies stopped using Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl altogether. Another ingredient that scared people was/is Diacetyl. The acronym for these ingredients is DAAP (Diacetyl, Acetoin, AcetylPropionyl). There are other ingredients that, IMHO, scare me a lot more than DAAP, like the Sodium Benzoate in Cap's super sweet. For more info just google for: daap vape

Just made a small batch tonight and am thoroughly impressed. Subbed Shisha strawberry for the strawberry ripe because I can't taste strawberry ripe very well. Right off the shake, it tastes just like a pink starburst. A little raw right now...I can feel it coating my tongue and need to let it steep or else I'll end up with vapor's tongue (raw flavors do that to me). Definitely making a large batch of this as soon as I get some more ingredients in.

This is definetly in my rotation now its a brilliant simple recipe but initially I did not have tpa custard and had ran out of strawberry ripe so i did swop them over to do a 10ml sample. Thought it was good but I wanted to try with all TPA flavours and it was so much better. Dont sub the flavours its not as good as as using all tpa flavors, Just had to mix another 100ml as I got through a 60ml bottle in a day and a half lol. @spectrometer thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe.

If the other reviews didn't convince you to make this juice, I doubt mine will either, but this is amazing-- all day vape to say the least; every friend of mine who has tried it loves it too.

I did bring the strawberry ripe down to 6%, and I use (Cap) Custard v1 as I don't think anything compares to it for flavor. I also recommend a 2+ week steep to get it to shine at its brightest. Vape on!

I didn't have cheesecake graham crust, so i used CAP NY Cheesecake 3% and Graham cracker clear (tfa) 2%.. it was too cheesecakey for me. I'm gonna try 2% cheesecake 3% Graham cracker clear and see if that works better for me. I have an order in for cheesecake Graham crust though.. can't wait to try it.

oh yeah. much better with cheesecake Graham crust. i also made a separate batch with 4% tpa strawberry 6% strawberry ripe and i subbed vanilla custard for inawera custard 1.5 % and cap french vanilla 0.5% and it's pretty bangin as well.

#370 I use the 10% but you can adjust to your liking as you see fit. Vg pg ratio is also personal.. I use 75/25 so i don't need to add as much pg. But depending on the tank you use - a thinner og thicker juice might be usefull..

Ive had this sitting for about 6 days now, and it's just gotten a dry, bitter, bland taste. :( it's a little bit sweet with the super sweet I added, It was great a first but now it's just off. I'm hoping longer steep will make it get better.

I'm seeing such highly mixed results, people all day different. Good after three days, bad after 2 weeks, great after 4 weeks. Mine was delicious at first but after 6 days it's bitter, dry, and bland. I'm hoping the 4 week steep guy is right about this. I really loved it after mixing. Hoping it develops into something delicious. It really sucks waiting a month just to find a mix isn't that great.

Two weeks of sitting, now it tastes better. It's pretty mild, still has a vanilla creaminess to it, it's not bitter anymore. I had to add a touch more sweetener to it. It's not bad, I just find myself not as satisfied with it and keep switching back to my fruits. It's very dry. But not bad. I'll hold on to it for longer and test at 3 and 4 weeks.

Now at 3 weeks of steeping, and I added maybe 1% sweetener to the original recipe. Now it's like a thick, sweet, creamy vanillia flavor. I've been vaping too much strawberry so I can't taste that. This is nice now though. I no longer want to switch it out for my fruits.

It definitely needed 3 weeks to steep, It was gone before it was fully 4 weeks. I bet it could have been ever better. This one isn't a real snv though. The first day was great, but after that all sorts of weird tastes occurred before steep was finished.
