Adjust the ice till you are happy. The way I have it, it comes out just a bit cool. The highest I would take ice is .2% If you keep raising ice, it will have a back taste and that is not something to be happy with. It does take around 3 days for the ice effect to settle.

As far as the vanilla bean.. I do not like taking it any higher than I have it here, as I find for myself, it becomes too cloying, too much of a bean taste. Real vanilla bean ice cream is not a heavy taste, os if you are aiming for the real deal, keep it where I have it, if not lower.

Smooth vanilla, does exactly what it's named for. Smoothing and vanilla tones. This flavor is excellent for emulcifying its companion flavors, even if it is all creams. The vanilla can become too heavy, if you are a heavy handed mixer. Have some respect for this beautiful flavor, as if you take it too high, just like most vanillas, it can become a funk!
