Is this a clone for cannoli be nuts? If so, how close to the original is it?
#2 by juice junkie, Jul 3. 2016, 14:27
That's what I was working on and I'd say it's really close. The only thing I would change is the pistachio. I'm guessing he probably uses tfa. If you decide to use the flavorah then I'd lower it to 1-1.5%. It's really close though!

WHEN i make this, double check to make sure that the original receipe is still the same

Would love to hear some feedback!
#5 by Sir Juicealot, Jul 3. 2016, 19:13
What flavors would you eliminate to get the original cannoli be one flavor? Just the pistachio maybe? I have everything except the eggnog and vanilla whipped cream
#6 by juice junkie, Jul 3. 2016, 20:19
yea take out the pistachio. you can try it without the vanilla whipped. it will still be pretty close
#7 by Sir Juicealot, Jul 4. 2016, 01:30
I'll order the eggnog and vanilla whipped cream. I'll make some small batches and I'll report back in a couple weeks.
#8 by juice junkie, Jul 4. 2016, 01:59
Great! I'm sure it would be good without those 2 flavors but would definitely make it much better with them and a lot closer to the "clone".
#9 by Sir Juicealot, Jul 12. 2016, 01:21
So I just made a 10ml for a tester. What's the recommended steep time on this
#10 by juice junkie, Jul 12. 2016, 01:28
It gets better after a week but to me it was pretty good shake and vape. After a week the pistachio starts really coming through. Have you tried the actual juice? To me its real close.
#11 by Sir Juicealot, Jul 12. 2016, 01:37
I have not. I made another one without the pistachio to see if I can get the original cannoli, but the eggnog is still strong
#12 by Sir Juicealot, Aug 25. 2016, 07:00
If we can get a CBO clone now
#13 by juice junkie, Aug 25. 2016, 07:16
Glad you guys like it! As far as a CBO clone that's easy just take out the pistachio. It's all the same. If you want CBM just add strawberry. If you feel the eggnog is too much just put 1 drop per 30ml and see how that works.
#14 by triforce, Sep 3. 2016, 07:53
No, it wouldn't be that simple. Cannoli Be Mine utilizes way more than just strawberry flavoring. I will say this is quite a decent clone. Its off by a lot but probably one of the best thought out ones I have seen thus far.

Well done, man.

I make Cannoli Be One .. I support the DIY scene.. I come from open source development =) so no I am not salty =P

To me it tastes spot on. I remove pistachio for CBO. idk what'd make it closer other than adding cap super sweet
#16 by Apathy, Nov 16. 2016, 06:17
@triforce hey John could you please possibly give us the flavorings without percentages? You know most of us diyers will never buy the liquid, so it's not like it would hurt the bottom line

Nice to see you here John!! Your great success is well deserved!

I didn't mean to do that, sorry about that. I thought I was giving you 5 star. I love you recipe!!
the only thing it is little too much apple flavor it does take over the hole recipe, that is easy easy to fix...
I also tried it with (HS)_Italian cream it does definitely gives the cannoli flavor.
#19 by juice junkie, Feb 5. 2017, 19:23
Thanks @Ozman! I've tried lowering the apple pie to 1% and it does help. I bet Italian cream would be great in this as well! I also like it better with the tfa pistachio! Thanks for the review :)
#20 by ReignDRa, Apr 18. 2017, 12:32
Italian cream in place of?
#21 by Dustalot, Sep 9. 2017, 20:11
This is really really good
#22 by juice junkie, Sep 10. 2017, 02:07
@Dustalot I'm so glad you are enjoying it. Please feel free to rate it :) if there is anything you would suggest to change I'd love to hear your feedback as well! Thanks so much!

ive been working on a clone for the cannoli be breakfast one, and i just bought the Real one after months and realized how off i am. im gonna try this out, but i still cant figure out what it is that makes its a rich, thick, creamy flavor. excited to give this one a go.
#24 by juice junkie, Nov 8. 2017, 00:06
Awesome! Can't wait to hear your feedback Nilio :)
#25 by Nili0, Nov 16. 2017, 19:28
so i finally got a few things i was missing from here. im gonna give this a shot tonight, but im going to leave out apple pie because i dont have it. i have i think capella apple pie and ill give it a go tonight!
#26 by juice junkie, Nov 16. 2017, 23:45
Sounds good @Nili0! I believe there is more of a cinnamon note in CA than in FA. So just keep that in mind. You should be good to go! Can't wait to hear what you think.
#27 by Tonya0901, Dec 3. 2017, 18:29
Our family just discovered these flavors. We only buy stuff premade from time to time and this has been an amazing hit so I am going to give your recipe a try. I think I have it all so a mixing we shall go!
#28 by juice junkie, Dec 4. 2017, 06:22
Great @Tonya0901! I can't wait to hear how it works out for you :)
#29 by BulldogIrish, Jan 22. 2018, 19:00
Can anyone comment on what was close to Cannoli Be One ill have to order some stuff to make it so trying to figure out what to get but its been one of my favorites and now that I'm diy'ing id love to get something close..
#30 by Nili0, Mar 17. 2018, 17:43
Hey forgot to get back to you. But man I cant take the eggnog flavor in there. Theres so little but its so strong to me, and its not for me. But i bought the original maybe two months and im about 90% sure they use fa nonna cake at about 1.5%. Ive gotten pretty close to a clone but im still fine tuning it and I can share it with ya when I get a bit closer :)
#31 by juice junkie, Mar 17. 2018, 20:00
@Nili0 try it with vanilla custard fw instead. That's what I used in the newer recipe of cannoli be one (without the pistacio). I'm pretty sure that's what I was tasting when I thought it was eggnog. FW custard has that eggnog or eggy flavor but he sure to use it low %.
#32 by Slushy, Mar 17. 2018, 23:52
Your recipe looks ok just not seeing any kind of pastry shell just really looks like the filling is that what you are going for?
#33 by juice junkie, Mar 18. 2018, 00:45
I was going for the clone recipe of cassadega cannoli nuts. The pastry Shell comes from apple pie fa, it's one of the best crust tasting flavors out there.
