This is not entirely original, it is a play off of an old recipe called Snickerdoodle, i no longer remember where i found it as it was a couple years ago. I have altered the %'s because custard! In the original the CDS was a bit overpowering.
I suggest a two week cure in a cold dark place. I rate my recipes to let others know how much i like it, this is in my ADV rotation and i vape it daily.
Since you said it could be a shake n vape. I made 15ml to try. It's really good! So I'm going to make more and let it steep as I can tell it will be great. Thanks!
Glad you enjoy it, yiana! A couple weeks curing really brings it together, the cinnamon will mellow and the cookie will come through as well as the creaminess from the custard.
It's been two weeks so I loaded it up in my subtank mini and it is so nice and smooth! Great stuff. I made a 30ml to steep cuz this will be gone by tomorrow.
Would you mind sharing the %s for the Snickerdoodle recipe as well? I've been trying to find a good Snickerdoodle since I started mixing lol, so I'd definitely like to try it out if you have no objections! Please and thank you :)
I mixed this up at 10ml, dripped it within 5 minutes. Immediately I made another 30ml for me and a bottle for a buddy. I think you nailed the percentages. The cinnamon is not overpowering and it really tasted nicely blended.
What I like about this recipe is I can detect every flavour note. Not something I can always do with some of these 5+ flavour recipes.
@ fuji, Glad you like it. I like to keep most of my recipes simple, at least the recipes that i share. If you ever have any questions you can find me on the forums or in chat. :)
I made another batch today, and added 0.5% of FA Fuji Apple. Shook it up and tasted it. The taste has changed, I can taste a bit more apple than the cinnamon and cookie flavour. I think if I let it sit for a week it'll turn out really nice.
Thanks again for this recipe, I want to use it as a base flavour and try out a variation of fruits on it. Should be fun!
Makes me really happy it has been useful to you and dont hesitate to post your adaptations. The Fuji (FA) should mellow a bit in a weeks time, two weeks time and yum.
I think if you drop the CDS .5-1% and add a couple peaches it would be real nice too.
I let it steep for 1 month and i like it!
Very smooth vape!
I can taste each flavours and its delicious.
I want to try it with some peaches like
Peach fa 2
Peach inw 0,5
White peach fa 1,5
Thank you for this awesome recipe!
5 stars
THIS, I believe is the recipe i have been looking for. It is likely the base for a canadian retail juice called Swedish Pastry. I believe the one i am thinking of, is likely this with a touch of almond in it as well. Have tried a couple of similar ones, but this appears to be the one. Minus additives that retail ejuice will throw in. Thanks, this is great. Will make a second with almond in it as well. Think the original snickerdoodle throw in almond but not sure. Fantastic. Thank you.
I just mixed this one up, tried it - loved it. I'll definatly make more when I get home, that itty bitty 15 ml won't last long enough to steep haha. Well done!
I completely understand what you mean, im always a bit bummed when i whip up a test batch of something i really like. But, on the flip side of that, i love to mix so it gives me a chance to head down to my mixing lab, hehe.
I find it perfect as it is Ken. Curious though, as i am not a mixer, why I have not yet seen people making recipes like this one, using Cardamom? I have read that it's whats used in place of CDS in the retail one i mentioned a few posts up. If i were a mixer, I would try it myself but it would be a long time before i could master such, hence, have not tried...but have always wondered about that one rather than CDS?
Super tasty. Made it exactly like yours. 10ml version. Added 2 drops sweetener. 1 day steep can already tell this is amazing for my taste. Gunna make big batch soon thanks for share
Ken O'Where ??? More like Ken O'Wonderf*#kinful!!!!!
This is *exactly* what I got into DIY for!!!!
When I started vaping it was a "premium" juice they sell around here from Funnelcake Factory called Vanilla Whipped and I loved it but could not see paying $20 for 30 ml of it.
I knew I'd be able to at least get close if I searched and experimented enough.
THIS IS IT!!! Seriously, you may wanna have a talk with those guys because I doubt they did anything other than maybe boost the percentages *IF* even that.
Well I've come full circle. That 10ml I made July 17th lol I found it had enough to nicely juice up some fresh cotton and bam incredible. Love the simple recipes. Making a 140ml for a deep steep. Worth the wait
Mixed this morning and tested about 4 hours later. It reminds me of Easter biscuits. If the taste doesn't change with a steep I may order some tfa raisin and remake with 0.5-1%.
Made this two weeks ago and just tried it - I really like it, awesome recipe! Thanks for sharing, I'll be making 4oz, as I'm sure this 30ml won't last very long.
This is a very nice smooth vape after 4 week steep.
I'm really enjoying it, feels light and tastes delicious but REALLY needs a steep otherwise that cinnamon is just too much.
@DrChud: It certainly can, all the V2 flavorings will taste different than the originals. I havent used the V2s as i have been mixing with the V1s for a couple years and like them, muchly.
@jorakae: Highly unlikely, i happen to know him from reddit and I have been vaping this longer than he has been on reddit but feel free to post a link directly to his mix. When i found this it was posted, somewhere, with no name for the creator which is why no credit is given.
@jorakae: So your claim that the recipe is his is from a post that is a month old that links to a recipe he posted appx 4 months ago despite this one being on site since January? Like i said before, this recipe isnt entirely mine and it definitely isnt originally his, he dropped the CDS/VCV1 a bit and added some MM..
@Ken, I made sugar rush around the same time I tried this one for the first time. Needless to say it didn't turn out great, which must be down to the V2 sugar cookie. I've the proper version steeping at the minute. I doubt I'll use V2 again. Happy holidays to you too and thanks for the recipe.
Sounds like you know him personally on reddit. Maybe you could ask and perhaps find out the source if it wasn't him? I have nothing personal to gain, it isn't my recipe. As you stated this was not yours and I recognized it elsewhere and was simply trying to give credit where it was due. If it isn't his, or based off of his, please forgive my error of attribution.
@jorakae: I hear ya, i may have come off a bit snarky there, as i read it again. Sorry for that, its me without my morning caffeine kicker.. Good looking out on your part.
The original i had first seen on a site around 3 years ago, it was made for evod style devices and the %s were quite high. Then a few months later a couple more were posted somewhere else that were closer to this version, i took the recipe and tinkered for my taste on the devices i was vaping on at the time. I then posted it here and took it down for awhile as i got butthurt over someone selling one of my recipes, i reposted it in January.
Personally it doesnt matter to me anymore where it came from originally, its been around for a few years in different %s and using different flavoring manufacturers. People should use it as they see fit just like all the recipes posted online. All i really care about is if someone is able to enjoy it and keep off them smokes!
me and my friend like it with Cinnamon Danish TPA. i just didnt have the CAP swirl version. Now that i have it i made both again and will compare. But thougt i leave a comment as you tinkered much with the % over time to get the cinnamon a bit lower. Thanks for a great vape!
mixed this up nearly 2 months steep its nice but the cinnamon i cant stand it, its just so disgusting. It is nice going in but the exhale of cinnamon.... If you enjoy cinnamon and you like the taste of it you will love this but I clearly don't like it lol.
Anyway thanks for the recipe, My adv search continues.
@Mx360: I hear ya, for this day and age it is overpowering. This was made a few years ago when i was still vaping @15w and the wife was using eGo/evod's.
I wanted to do a remix for quite a long time but i just never got around to it.
Do you have the original snickerdoodle recipe you adapted this from? I tried a liquid called Snickerdoodle from Hammett Bridge, it's very similar to Tenacious Toast from Simply E-Juice. Anyway, they were probably the best liquids I've ever tried, and this sounds very close to what they tasted like, would love to try the original one.
I did a warm water bath for a bit to speed things up and vaped it after 3 days and oh man this is delicious! thanks for the recipe! i wish i had the patience to wait so long on my juices to steep... i'm new to this and this whole steeping thing is just super annoying, i wish i could just vape and enjoy!
I know I said thank you in the forums last year for this one bud. But after having recently revisiting it (made two 30ml), I still have to say, very solid combination man!
Looking forward to an updated version when the time and mood strikes! =)
One month plus steep: Used TFA Cinn Danish and Custard. Very mild taste mix. My rating. 7.5/10 (avg) . Could be my taste buds. No rating issued above in stars.
What a fantastic vape, and I appreciated that it's a 15% flavor recipe and not a 20-something. Great example of what DIY is all about. Simple and delicious.
Just made a 500ml batch as I had a feeling this would be nice. Only let it steep for a week and it is really nice, I think after another week or two when the cinnamon blends a little more and the other two come through it will be amazing. Great recipe this one will go into my rotation.
Damn Ken this one sounds brilliant. Making a 120 tonight. You perfected it so it's gotta be another winner. I was expecting 10% VC1 (CAP) lol
"The Stalker"
Hey, Stalker. I havent mixed this is quite a long time, the way i vape now i dont think i could vape it.It was delicious back in the day tho, hehe. If you havent tried it give Sugar Rush by ThirdWorldOrder a mix, use Vanilla Ice Cream (LB) if you got it.
OMG !! Right out the gate, Grandslam !! In the closet it goes. For sure I'm going to check out Sugar Rush. Diabetes or not. One Day there's going to be a Mixologist Statue built for you. Hope your doing well.
10 days steep so far, sitting in the dark. I'm dying to see what 10days has done. I'm at Disney World till the 18th so I'm patiently waiting. Mixed a 120ml there not any doubt do to it tasted great as a SnV now it can only get better. IMO anything Ken mixes that I've mixed I've totally enjoyed and continue to enjoy. BTW Sugar Rush is also steeping.
Just plain out Delicious ! Yet so simple 3 ingredients. I'm on day 16 steeping and it's only getting better.the %'s are spot on @ Ken O' Where. Just the right amount of cinnamon, gotta be the smoothest cinnamon note on that Cinnamon Danish Swirl, I haven't SF CDS but I can only imagine putting a bit of frosting on top. Maybe even a bit of Vanilla Cupcake, would the cupcake give me a even more of a heavier denseness to add to the Sugar Cookie ? Another 5 days steep and see if it's Flavor Profile has changed. If so I may go the 4th week steeping. I'm loving this as it is, but I'm getting lots of ideas by even using this Recipe as a awesome base. possibly using with VBIC or ?? To make it a ice cream float or just a bowl of ice cream with .5-1% Koolada or another cooling agent. @Ken if you don't mind I'd like to borrow your recipe and also try as a base or One Shot. Due you have any other recipes using this as a base ? Even a cereal milk using little bav cream with dairy milk low median % or less than recommend medians. I still love and always have loved just about any flavor profile when it comes to that good bottom of the bowl liquid gold. I realize I'm asking questions that aren't directly to do with only this recipe. BTW it's 10 🌟 from me. It is perfect for me, at least. 5 stars gives it no justice. Don't Forget to Rate This Y'all. It really deserves a ranking from everyone.
@Ken O'Where I can't put it down !! The warmer I vape it the fresher outta the oven it tastes. .4 ohms Clapton fused 40-50 Watts is my sweet spot. I pretty much keep the coils hot, not from chain vaping but from slowly heating them till the hit the sweet spot and from there it's just a matter of keeping them at that sweet spot till your pallette is satisfied. Thanks again Ken O'
4 more days left on a 28 day steep, if any recipe makes the 4 week steep (and it's already one of my ADV @ a 2 week steep.) It's made the "cut" for me. All 3 ingredients are standing alone. Each flavor combined is blended together to make 1 SOLID recipe. The CDS has mellowed some (not that it needed to mellow, but it did) VC1 has made this the perfect imo combination adding a slightly heavy, smoothness to the CDS, the VC1 doesn't give off any of the custardy egginess which too me I'm not very fond of that note. That's the only part of the VC's that just doesn't yank my crank. No worries here, egginess isn't there(on my pallette anyway) I'm sure if your a Custard Crusader I'm sure if you wanted that, upping the VC % you could achieve that. For shits & giggles I'm going to mix a tester adding 1-2% Vanilla Cupcake just to see what happens when it's added along with the thickness of the VC & SC. Im trying to add extra heaviness, maybe even changing the mouth feel to a slight cake like addition. I'll get around to posting my adaption/changing the recipe around just a bit adding one more ingredient, it may not even make the impact that I'm just imagining will happen. Also the Vanilla cupcake (CAP) possibly@ 2% could even get a added benefit of a little butter or frosting. Either way it'll be a win win for me. We shall see !!
not bad i only give it a 4 because i think at the high wats i like to vape it is abit strong on the cds and sugar cookie but realy this is a awsom simple tasty mix thanks ken
I let it steep for 2 weeks. It`s a very good recipe with plenty of flavor, but not an adv for me, bc cinnamon can get to much. I really like it, when I`m in the mood for some "snack". Dont get me wrong, it`s a great recipe.
@birgin: Of course you can. Just keep in mind that any changes will make it a different recipe and it wont taste the same. But that isnt a bad thing at all. You might just create the next best thing! Good luck to you.
This is my first cinnamon recipe and I like very much. Congratulations! The cinnamon is not overpowered. Its only 2 days of steep. I just think its a little too sweet for me. I am thinking about to down vanilla custard to 3%. What do you all think?
#Willbr
After around 4-6 weeks the cinnamon in the cinnamon danish swirl was mellowing out to be much more mellow and blending great with the rest of the recipe. Fast forward to almost 5 months later still have about 30 mls. Left out of 120 mls. And it's a awesome Cinnamon with hints of Vanilla Custard in the background and it's just straight up a delicious cinnamon custard with a full well balanced taste nothing is overbearing. Cinnamon is up front but not strong at all you also get a cookie like consistency or thicker consistency than if you were to only use the Vanilla custard. I love it !! The longer it steeps the better the taste, To me that is.
Very nice balance, I also love your simple custard so I keep 120ml stone of that. My second batch of sinnamon cookie, rather than using vanilla Custard I simply used your simple custard stone, the flavor changes but this is also very good. Thanks for contributing!
make 2litres and after let it sit for a month, dripped on rda and it is very delicious . but I think, the flavor it's still not bold enough using MTL kayfun prime. any ideas?
Im bout to make this exact recipe im just switching around the cookie and custard percentages lol ill probably put 5 drops super sweet into the 30ml cuz im doing max VG cuz im gonna be dripping it, custards and ESPECIALLY cinnamon stuff absolutely KILLS coils in 48 hours max haha so i never do custards in tanks. Not even in my OG Griffin Tank that i still use lol....cuz its STILL the bomb super easy to throw down builds and it can handle fused & aliens as long as theyre only 2.5mm wide. But ya ill come back and edit this to talk about how it tastes right off the shake, im sure itll be fuego !!!!!!
Hi Ken! I've been using mods for a long time. Now I've switched to pods. None of my old recipes worked in pods. Would this recipe work in pods? Thanks for your help!
