OK, Thanx -- Gonna whip something up this weekend... Any recommendation for a banana vape? I've got TPA Ripe Banana & Banana Cream & Baker's Banana...
TIA
OGV......You can add TPA Ripe Banana or Banana Cream to this.....no probs. Both of those I would add at about 4%......5% if you like your flavours a little stronger. Bakers Banana I haven't tried.......but I would think that one is 2% to 3%. It's been used as a base by loads of people successfully, with pretty much any fruit you can imagine......also good with caramel or butterscotch :)
I also have a Thick Banana Milkshake recipe you might want to try too - tjek.nu/r/3Crf
Terrific vape, some suggested turning it into a base for a fruit custard or adding a bit of VC v1, but I really don't see why. The mix is wonderful as it is. Flavour equally present no matter whether you're vaping MTL or DL. Really benefits from a long steep. 12 weeks is the furthest I managed so far, lol.
Hands down, my favorite custard recipe. Normally I don't like the cheesiness for cap NYCC, but it works perfectly here. Awesome stand alone and as a base for other flavors. I use it to make a chocolate pistachio custard. Fantastic!

Thank you Mr. Reed for this recipe - it is everything a custard should be and is better than all the famous commercial custard's I've tried. This will become a staple for me. 2 week steep (couldn't wait any longer) 70vg 30pg - absolutely perfect.
Lovely stuff, as a standalone vape, but also a great base to add something fruity to! Mixed it with Nana cream already and love it! Thanks Kreed for creating this one!
Don't have Cap French Vanilla but I do have TPA French Vanilla. I went ahead and mixed it up. How close are those 2 French Vanilla flavors? It smells fantastic. Also used TPA Marshmallow instead of EM.
@VaperGlock - won't be exactly the same.....but not a million miles away either :)
@spilly1 - absolutely you can! My good friend Thomas Storey has already done that - recipe here: tjek.nu/r/2NfQ
Mellow at 2 weeks steep. I'm waiting for it to pop. At this point it's asking for some strawberry or banana or other fruit to compliment it. Seems like the perfect base flavor but as a stand-alone I'm looking for more flavor. Good recipe thanks for sharing.
@timmis , exactly what I did, mixed it with OHW Nana cream( strawberry, banana cream, dragonfruit) which is awesome, and have a mix with cap. sweet strawberry steeping. I'd recommend 2 parts kreeds with one part of something fruity.
Might try some peach, blueberry, banana, all separately. This is a good base note looking for a top note. I will try it again after a 4 week steep to see what happens. Thank you for sharing it. I know creams and custards take a while
I also used FA Marshmallow instead of EM...tastes just like one I buy all the time....absolutely love this recipe - steeping is a must and you will not regret it...thank you for sharing!!!
Ok this sounds sooo good. I'm gonna have to try this, and add 4% tfa dx banana cream. I'll be trying that banana milkshake next. Thank you for the recipe.
Could I sub French Vanilla (CAP) with French Vanilla Deluxe TFA,
New York Cheesecake (CAP) with Cheesecake Graham Crust TFA
and
Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP) with Vanilla Swirl TFA
Yes me, but I only used 2.5% holly vanilla, and to me it's much better, I did make the original of this, but I again dropped the French vanilla down to 2.5%, I feel with French vanilla and 3 weeks or more steep u only need 2.5% max, I like this with holly vanilla more than French vanilla, holly vanilla is king of vanilla imo
Has any one added strawberry to this?? I'd like to make a strawberry custard and though if adding some to my current steeping stash. I have cap sweet straw, tpa straw ripe and strawberry shisha, and recommendations on which to use at what percentage?? Thanks
@Captain_Vapor Thanks for the heads up, will give that a try as well as try a mix between the two.. Great to hear it (HV) works for you on this recipe, hoping it works for me too.. Made a bunch of variations and other liquids today so damn tired my back hurts :D Should pay off in a month though hoping my mock ups will be worth the vape..
@Captain_Vapor: Forgot to add, yeah Holy Vanilla does seem amazing in its scent, still waiting for the first batch I used it in to come of age..
@Xman85: Damn I made some variations of this todays and was my intention to add some Shisha Strawberry to it but forgot.. Well guess I can siphon of some tomorrow and give it a try, as the scent on Shisha Stawberry seems so great too, also waiting for some of the stuff I used it in to develop as well before dipping it... But if your gonna use Strawberry I cannot see why shisha would not be atleast a decent if not possibly a great choice.. Experiment, experiment experiment.. thats how its for me as I am quite a beginner and not yet fully immersed in different flavours I have to be able to judge outright what would work and what not, I tend to go with my (scent and taste) gut instinct sometimes.. And also follow and learn from some of the great recipes people have shared here..
@kouZa I've run out of custard concentrate at the moment so I can't do fresh batches I was thinking of doing 3% street strawberry and 2% shisha think that be good mix or maybe just 4% shisha as I think it quite potent.
@Xman85, I think I heard people are letting their custard steep in huge amounts and then successfully add other flavours such as strawberries or something else later, so I think it should not be a problem if you do not have a fresh batch to cook up.. Just let your strawberries mix and steep for a while in the already well-steeped custard and I think (and hope) your will be allright..
As to the percentages, I really cannot say as just was meant to experiment with Kreeds and strawberries myself, maybe divide up the custard and try both ways.. Although I have to say "street strawberry" sounds nice even though I know your meant sweet but it still made me lol :D "watch out that street strawberry can be like crack though" :D
Haha good old predictive text!! I think Im doing a 10ml sample with 4% or 3.5% see how that pans out it's only 2 and half weeks old at the minute so I think it's perfect time to be adding fruits 😀
awesome recipes bro!! just made up my 30 ml batch, shake and vape, the flavor its truly amazing, cant imagine what it will taste after steeping for a 3 weeks.... can i put a strawberry flavor,if yes what percentage did you recommended?I had tfa strawberry RIPE,and capella sweet strawberry,i'm a new mixer, sorry for my english... I'm from Malaysia...
Made this with french vanilla subbed at same percent. Was so good after 10-12 days steeping I killed the bottle. Will be making another version with tfa custard subbed at same percent and see how it comes out.
I sub Fr vanilla with Vanilla Tahity for fruit mixes, just add 1.5-3% fruit, depending on potency from flavor maker...adding 1% Dulce de Leche makes it God-like
Tried this after 12 days steeping, tasts very promising.
I used a max VG base, will this recipe benefit from adding PG next time I mix this up?
Has anyone tried this with vanilla custard v2? I would like to avoid acetoin in the future. Is there a sub for the cheesecake wich also contains acetoin ...?
Hope you like it Michelle. Try it every so often through the steep ....so you can see how it changes. Watch out for the custard 'deadzone'.....it will go flat between 2 - 4 weeks for a bit....... then come back lush :)
I can't make enough of this... lol. Time to fill up a old tequila bottle. Maybe that will reach full steep. After a week I can't help myself. Gonna have to do 500 or 600 ml and hide it. Liquid gold. Kreed custard #1!
lol..... thanks Mytsly :) It really does get much better if you can let it get to the full steep.......but I sometimes struggle with the long steep too. A large amount definitely helps though!
Hi Jdecker...... you can always sub. You can sub anything. It won't be the same recipe though but could still be good. Make a small sample and try...... and put the CAP NYC in your next basket so you can try it properly next time :)
Hey @VHM I made this at 3mg 70vg/30pg exactly a month ago, never put it in the ultrasonic, thought I'd be patient, made myself a new dual 6 wrap 24/30 Clapton at 0.288 ohms in my Cleito RTA and had a vape. I started low, like 20W then built up to around 52 & I was coughing my bollocks off, every vape. So I squeezed all the air out the 100ml bottle I made up to refresh the air, gave it a good shake and left the cap off for two hours. Tried again and this stuff is awesome, I'm gutted I never made loads of it, I think I need to go buy a bucket with a lid cause I've vaped around 60ml since yesterday, and upped the Watts to around 72 & it's now lovely and smooth and it smells & tastes delicious, now I gotta wait another month for a new batch, sod it!
Anyway thanks for the recipe easy 5 stars.
Unfortunately, it will make a big difference. French Vanilla v2 has a much more waxy taste........ and Simply Vanilla is not great either.....have a read of the reviews for it under NOTES here: e-liquid-recipes.com/flavor/9716
Lol @nmmblez for one God doesn't exist, if he did and you could Milk him he would be a cow 🐮 Wow this comment is offensive 😂 Although I just had too, this is my Fav custard Mix, absolutely delicious, you have to be patient as @VHM says.
@nmmblez - your comment both amuses me and shows a classic problem I have with so many mixers and comments on here.
You let it steep for the minimum time suggested and say it isn't great. Have you tried leaving it for longer?
If you followed a recipe for a cake by Gordon Ramsey and it said bake for 30-40 mins, and ate it at 30 mins, if it didn't taste great would you blame the recipe or yourself for taking it out of the oven too soon? Would you tell him to his face that the recipe is overrated or crap?
This needs at least 4 weeks, in reality it's at its best after 12 weeks plus, but it's a rare DIYer these days who has that sort of patience.
Although you can feel free to make a better custard and share re recipe if you like?
@furble why are you arguing with someone about their opinion and taste preference? Pointless. If they don't like it they don't like it. This is a feedback section for others to make an informed decision on if they should mix or not. You have your opinion they have theirs. Accept it and move on.
@Andyk1801, @furble trying to explain you nothing personal. As more than 130+ people love this recipe (special thanks to @VHM for sharing with us) so if you have any questions just ask, OP or we would love to answer and help if possbile. Friend of mine said it's best after 12 weeks that's why another 500ml is steeping 😀
I had some myself at much longer than 12 weeks steeped.. personally I don't see the hype! I much prefer Jury Custard.. seems more authentic to me.. each to their own though. Everyone has different taste. I hate milk, others love it. Simple as that really.
lol....funny how you love Jury's Custard.....but you haven't rated it?
Yet you felt the need to come here and say "Probably one of the worst custards I've tried" on this one?
@Andyk1801 - with the greatest respect my comment wasn't aimed at you so I'm not sure why you needed to respond.
You don't like it, fine.
My comment was aimed at the other bod who had barely followed the full recipe (cos steep time is part of it) and said they didn't like it.
Jesus... touchy much.. I haven't been on ELR very long so haven't got round to rating it. If people don't like opinions then don't share your recipes on a site that allows people to comments their thoughts on it.
Anyway, I said what I needed to, I'm off to give some more honest opinions on recipes I've tried. Peace out bitches! :)
ok...fair enough.....you haven't been on ELR very long......so here's the deal.
Constructive comments on ELR are welcome.......if you had said why you didn't like it we wouldn't be having this exchange.
Saying what you did just looks like straight up nastiness.
Oh....and if you don't like having your nasty little comments challenged.....then who is the touchy one?
But surely when rating a recipe I have to rate it how I see it. It's clearly an established recipe that will not be changing. Constructive criticism would be pointless. That is something you offer to something that is in development stages. To a finished product it's either a yes or no. Unfortunately it was a no from me. I offered my opinion you didnt like it. Let's just leave it at that and move on. I'm sure neither of us will lose sleep over this. Well at least I hope you won't.
I ordered 100ml of the ready miyed Flavour, by ChefsFlavours!
When i want add anything, like Fruit- or Nut-Flavour, so how i have to do that?
1) Add the Fruit- or Nut-Flavour from beginning and let it steep together for 6 weeks, or ...
2) Let it steep this 6 weeks alone, and add the Fruits or Nuts first when the Custard is ready?
My ADV for a while now, I buy the concentrate from chefsflavours and mix when I need it, not bothered about steeping for weeks but this definitely gets more flavorful over time, Good Job ;)
About to make my second..... litre... of this stuff.... lol Ok i may have made some slight changes, I use FA Marshmallow at 1.5% and the other 3 flavours in this are V2 versions, It's now 4 months old and i think it tastes pretty spot on lovely custard and everyone comments on how nice it smells, Yeah I read a shit ton of reviews on V2 VC, but I think it just needs longer than V1 VC to steep, personally after 2-3 months this stuff is gold, Yeah it takes longer and no I have not tried V1 VC but, i'd rather avoid the nasties and I can wait while the next batch steeps and smoke this shit all day. Thanks kreed buddy, been looking for a custard that I can make easily and this is it, only downside is steep time. but make it by the litre and your alright.
So this is actually "Grants Vanilla Custard my way" by Ole Frederiksen posted on Nov 3. 2013 ( tjek.nu/r/4tt ) only raised x1.5 times and with 1% em added as suggested in the description.
@kpm who cares if this is the case, this is the best custard vape on this site, according to my taste buds anyway and yeah I've tried GVC, and also rated it 5 cause I'm nice like that, although put to the true test, I vaped 100ml of this in 2 days, GVC lasted me months, as there was an unusual taste, so each to their own.
When I came up with this recipe in 2015, I didn't even know what ELR was but I wanted an easy good tasting thick custard.
The ingredients are pretty obvious. CAP VC....because it's the best, CAP French Vanilla because it was the best vanilla at the time and it then needed something to thicken it......so tried NYCC and it worked.
There was a huge scare at the time with sweeteners and sugars so EM was the only alternative. Coming from a time when we were all using CE4 atomisers.......it actually started out as much higher %'s.......but because everyone said you HAVE to use custard at at least 15% for it to be good, I wanted to prove that you didn't.....you just had to leave it longer.
It was about a year after I released this that someone pointed out the similarity to Ole's one......and I've tried that one and still feel mine works better.
I still feel this custard has it's place as a 'stone' to add other things to.....as there's not much that doesn't work well with it. If I was to make a new custard now (watch this space....) I would use different concentrates as there is some pretty potent stuff around now..... there wasn't back then :)
2 weeks in, but I can't wait to vape this baby. Mixed @ 50:50 and added a little bit of FA Marshmallow and FA Caramel. Very smooth and tasty. Will probably mix 1 batch every other week so I'll always have one ready to go. This is my second recipe here in ELR, and thank you @VHM for sharing this.
Can anyone Compare it with "Grants Vanilla Custard my way" ( e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/11224 ) please ? I have only mixed Kreeds until, because i thought it is stronger in flavour! Is it really only stronger than "Grants Vanilla Custard my way", or where else is the diffrence?
Zugmaschine, I like both very much. As you noticed the difference is concentration and sweetener (cotton candy). I feel Kreeds like a more "caramelize" flavor. Not sure if is related to cotton candy (I also use mashmellow instead) or higher flavor concentration.
ive just pulled this masterpiece out of the cupboard after 3.4weeks and god damn its good, just waiting on my 4oz CAP VCV1 and ill be bangin out 500ml of this badboy, thanks Kevin for the beautiful vape, silky, smooth lush sweet creamy goodness.....thanks brother....this is in my rotation for sure
FW Cheesecake has an 'off' flavour to it......definitely not as good as CAP's.......and Graham Crust is mostly the biscuit base....with a hint of coconut.
Cap NY Cheesecake...... is the cheesecake with a hint of base.
I made 20ml of this last night with 2.5% tpa banana cream and let me tell ya its fukin awesome!! To me its a shake and vape. Im wanting to do a.strawberry version. What percentage should i am for?? 4%??
I made a 500 ml of this and put back 120 in a stash last year. Forgot about it, and just now found it a year later. Omg it's like finding buried treasure. So good after a year I wanna just drink it. Haha
By far the best custard I have tasted. I add a little bit of lemon. Not enough for the flavor to be recognized, just enough acid to make the fats pop. Love this one!
@kreed Thanks so much for fantastic creation I have one liter steeping. Couple of questions Could you please advise if I want to make strawberry / Blueberry custard with this base what % of base I should use along with how much Strawberry/Blueberry? what is max storage life of this juice (with/without Nicotine) if don't consume in few months? Thanks
I've vaped some that was over a year old......almost black....but still very, very good :)
Once you have some of this steeped........just put into a bottle and add your favourite fruit concentrates ......or nuts, caramel.....at the recommended ELR median %'s.......shake.......wait a few days to a week.
You can try lots of different flavoured Kustards this way :)
Thanks for quick reply @Kreed sorry no idea ELR Median % how much is that? Please advise. I was thinking Your base 10% and 5% FW Blueberry but want to walk on expert's steps :-)
Thankyou for this custard. It an easy ADV on cooler days easy !
tested after 1 week , its meh, after 2 its alright but not that nice, after 3 , it starts to bind together properly and gets sweet and thicker mouth feel. after 4, amazing. Worth waiting for the steep
@Elites The ELR Median means, when u add any flavour use the middle recommendation of this website( Search the flavour you want add here, then u see what is the median use from this flavour, of all users). I hope u understand .....
@Elites
Get the Kustard made up and fully steeped first at 16%.
After the steep, split it into different bottles and add different flavours.
The reason I say this is custards need a long time to steep.......and fruits can fade over the same time...... so if you add the fruit to an already steeped custard it will work better than adding it at the beginning. I hope that makes sense.
This is still the best custard out there. Very versatile. As a stand alone or adding flavours to it. A few of my favourites are kreeds + cake batter
Kreeds + gingerbread or adding dulce de leche. Splendid sir top man kevin and thankyou
@Kreed I am going to make another batch of 2200ml (that the biggest size I got) and planning to leave it for steep at least 6 to 8 month. Now I have a question if you can answer me please? what do you recommend (this much quantity of juice) I should steep with nicotine or without. As always you and others help is always appreciated. May God bless you all. Amen.
@Jutwurz - thanks :)
@ Elites - nicotine doesn't need to steep so you could add it at the end. Just make sure to REALLY mix it well. If you do add it at the end....you also may not see much colour change during the steep.....as the nicotine helps that.
It is time for me to leave my comment! After several batches of 20ml, 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, 500ml ... now I'm doing 2000ml. Man congratulations ... Great flavor for my taste! i will give you a five star. My all Day Vape!
Great recipe @kreed. Amazing after 3week steep. Looking at adding caramel, strawberry or banana to some steeped juice. Should i use the ELR recommended single flavour median or recipe mix median. Thanks again, 5* recipe all the way.
Thanks @M-Magoo :)
Use the recipe mix median.
Any fruits your adding will just be shake n vape if the custard is already steeped. Caramel will take longer.....give that at least a week.
Don't forget to leave a star rating on the recipe if you haven't done :)
Thanks for the recipe. It didn't have any sweetness to me though, which I think is a requirement for a real custard. I added 1% Super Sweet and it transformed from "meh" to a recipe I really enjoy. Hence the rest of the comment will only be about "my version" with added SS. Maybe it's my cotton candy, but it was really dry and begging for something extra.
I've tried many different custards and this one really comes on top. This could definitely pass as a premium top selling commercial custard.
I've been vaping it after a 2 week steep, and it's OK then (3, 3.5 star), but it really starts being great around the 4 week mark (4.5 to 5 star).
With the CAP SS I added, I do get minor caramel hints (probably from the combination with crusty NY Cheesecake) which is the finishing touch IMO, it adds depth to the recipe. 30mls disappeared fast, so now I'm back to make more (and I thought I was done with custards...).
I will definitely make a one-shot concentrate from it and use it with a variety of fruits and bakery, but it also deserves a place in my ADVs on its own. Thanks again for this gem.
Thanks for the kind comments @Suomynona
I tend to leave sweeteners out of my mixes....leaving that up to the user as the level of sweetness is a personal choice for everyone.
We're all different :)
The EM in this is used for it's binding properties...... blends everything together.
Hello guys, my report after 3 months steeping time!
@kreed
This was my constant ADV for over 9 last months and it was really great. My last batch was quite large, 2000 ml and I did not manage to spend it, I used some other recipes for a while, I experimented. When I again tried this recipe, it became extremely strong in taste not in a bad way (like nicotine) but overpowering and extremely dry. I literally after every vape i need to drink some water. I still have some 800 ml left, some suggestions other than dilution?
@drVaper..... sounds like you were suffering from 'vape tongue'.
It happens to all vapers from time to time.
I'm glad that you have not wasted the 800ml :)
2500ml I have already steeped and is ADV. 3500ml is steeping, target is to let it steep for 1 year (these all are without NIC,) 😀 thanks to Kevin @Kreed
@kjants - Keep 50ml with you......try it every so often as it will let you know when the main batch is ready. It should be ok for a week or two anyway...........then the cheesecake takes over for a month......then the custard comes back and it's good again.....and keeps improving.
If I want to make this into a medium sweet recipe almost as sweet as commercial ejuices by adding Cap super sweet, should I take out the EM? And how much supersweet should I add?
Can i use Bavarian cream or sweet cream instead of french vanilla, also i use cap.super sweet as a sweetner how much to be used compared to cotton candy, thanks alot
@Shafei, check up on flavor notes. French Vanilla is a thick, dense vanilla ice cream flavor. It does not contain any eggy flavor, which you have in Bavarian cream and FV has a lot more mouthfeel. Sweet Cream is a lot lighter (more milky), has barely any vanilla flavor and is very sweet. TPA or CAP sweet cream also have a bit of a chemical aftertaste to me, which you don't find in FV.
You can switch and replace but the result will be different (not necessarily worse, but it won't be anything like this recipe).
I love this ish!! It’s a long steep time, and I think it’s even better the longer it sits, but it’s worth every minute. I’m always sure to have plenty made and steeping so I never run out. I works great with just about any fruit, but it’s FANTASTIC on its own!! Definitely in my top 3 all time. Thank you, Kevin and VHM!!
This is the best custard recipe out there still. Even at 2 months steep it just gets better evertime I come back to it.. 😋This recipe deserves alot more credit than it gets.
Update after steeping of full 1 year: 1 Gallon of this amazing custard (without nicotine) I don't have words to express how great it turn out. Now a made another batch (10% of 1 gallon without nicotine and cotton candy) let's steep. I mix my nic in smaller batches. Love the smell and taste. Thanks so much again @kreed
Mixed 500ml at 3mg, vaped at around 80-90W. 29 days steeped so far and been vaping it nonstop for 2 weeks and haven’t gotten sick of it or changed to different flavours once. It’s been a week since rewicked and dry burned since i’ve been working a lot and the coils and cotton look pretty fresh still. Mixed another 750ml at 3mg, 250ml at 12mg for MTL(added banana nut bread at like 6% and cut the percentages elsewhere slightly) and after 2 weeks it’s also amazing). For a guy who used to change flavours non stop it’s nice to find a good ADV that doesn’t require constant rewicking although i don’t know what to do with all my other shelf setups now. Will be mixing this by the litre from here on. Thanks a bunch and great job on this one man.
Thanks LazyRabbit94.......glad you're enjoying it. It is very versatile for adding lots of different flavours to......works as a custard base or a standalone.
Hi @Jim-Bob.... the EM is used as a binder in this to bring the custard and the Cheesecake together.......and to give it the 'aroma' (EM smells like candy floss). Instead of leaving it out you could add FA Marxhmallow instead.
@VHM Many thanks for the response Buddy and duly noted. I have made this before and adored it (everyonbe who tried it did), but couldn't remember if I'd used the EM or not, as I generally don't. Keep up the good work. All the best, JB.
@vampirekid It's perfectly OK, not only smell but to taste it. I have 1 Gallon steeping from last one year and another batch is store from 2019 (which I used on daily basis along with others). I smell, taste and vape the newer batch time to time. Loved it. Hope this will help your question.
@vampirekid You are most welcome brother any time. We are here to help each other. A TIP: When I make my 1 Gallon of this recipe I make 10% base (means the total flavor I used 10% instead of 16%) without nicotine. Sometime a friend request me so i can add NIC as per his desire and add a little extra some flavor if needed. This way your juice will stay very long without any trouble. I Just found one of my batch from December 2018 which has excellent taste.
Mixed up 250ml 3 days ago, couldn't wait already vaped 30ml yesterday and just poured out another 60ml. The cotton candy is still overpowering but I'm sure it would probably mellow out better in time if it lasts
@Ak82coils You are correct about the cotton candy. The steeping with Capella V1 is real and you literally have to think about it like wine and ask yourself this, would you drink wine straight out of the vat before it has aged...? As mentioned in the recipe, this takes a minimum of 6 weeks, but because of both CAP V1 and the high percentages used in this recipe, it does take a loooong time to steep. If your looking for a shorter steep custard there are a few things you can do...but this would depending on what you vaping it on and the temperature you vape at...let me know and I will give you some suggestions.
yeah i know i need to wait just that i ran out of juice and the commercial juice around here isnt that great, well to me it isnt. I dont use tc if that what u ment, i usually run 0.19 or 0.15 aliens at 60w or 75w respectively depending on my mood.
would love to know of any triks to speed up the process, at least for the first batch going to mix up some more shortly and keep it stored with some other juices im going to prep today
@Ak82coils Yeah, youre rocking similar to what I'd use, so all I'd say at this point is that back in the day when alot of the older recipes were created, mods, tanks and coils just werent as good as they are now and they required more flavour to really get a good flavour out of the mods.
As the technology has moved on, so too have the recipes and the flavours. There are some ways to speed up the process, but plenty has been written about this already, so I wont go into that here, time is all you need with this recipe.
However, if youre looking for a quick steep, good custard, then I've found that firstworldcustard by @thirdworldorder is very good. I think the creme brulee in it adds something really special. Another recipe and recipe profile I'd check out is Yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye and The Trinity Vanilla Ice Cream
on alltheflavors. These recipes are very good, so have a tinker.
Other flavours i would recommend seeeking out would be Flavourah Vanilla Pudding, Vanilla custard 2 by TPA (not the dx version) and Vanilla Deluxe by TPA...but it really is a non exhaustive list and your journey starts here...
I mixed up a 250ml batch of this, exactly as the recipe (3mg, 70VG), and left it for 4 and a half weeks before trying it today.
After vaping half a squonk bottle on a small single coil rda at 0.4 ohms, I have just mixed up another 250ml as this is going to be one of my go-to mixes from now on, I can see.
Made this recipe for Mtl and tested at 1 1/2 weeks and is already very very tasty. In my rotation for sure. Probably the best custard recipe i tried until now.
Steeping this rn! I only make 10ml testers of anything new just in case but I have a bad feeling I will regret not making more of this! very nice simple mix! 5 stars!
You did say the longer the steep the better right? Hehe.. I totally forgot I mixed this 3 years ago (4-17-21) and just found it way back in my steep cabinet! It’s pretty good 👍 a bit dry though, if I remix it I’ll probably use 1/2 SS in place of the EM for my personal taste. Still ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I replaced the EM with TFA - toasted marshmallow at the same %.
After almost 7 days I couldn’t wait any longer and cracked the bottle. Tastes very rich and creamy, super delicious similar to Killer Kustard. I have no doubt it will steep into a more smooth and mature custard. Solid recipe 9/10
