just made this with 2% cheesecake (Graham Crust) added in. Super good, i agree with the shake and vape, next time i will steep it see what its like then.
This turned out really well. First bottle mixed by weight. I thought 10% was pretty low for flavouring, but its steeping well on day 3. Little light out of the bottle right after mixing/ultrasonic, but its coming through now. Definite candidate for 120ml mix. Thanks for sharing!!
Sir Timmy yes distilled water is The type of water you'd want to use BUT KEEP IN MIND that when you see Water/Vodka/PGA that doesn't mean you need (or should) ever use all three !! Some folks use distilled water to dilute the mix and others use ethyl alcohol (Vodka, clear springs 190 etc.) for throat hit.. PGA can also be used but keeping kind you don't use a concoction of the three (unless specified).. This recipe doesn't specify which one is being used (probably ethyl for throat hit ??). I can say that I've left them all out and have had great results...
This is so good. Actually kind of reminds me of cold stone cake batter ice cream for some reason! So good, btw I used TFA cheesecake (graham crust) instead of the cap stuff
Are you guys mixing the flavors at 10% ?? Or are you mixing them double and omitting the water/vodka/pga ?? Since it doesn't state which one of the three (water/vodka/PGA) to use ???
I enjoyed the first 30ml I mixed @ 10%, but I mixed it slightly higher VG, and the next batch got upped to 15%, keeping the same ratio. I don't use PGA/water/Vodka, and 0 sweetner in there either. This is a great custard.
I couldn't wait! My new adv! I also went with 15% max VG this is exactly what I was looking for. I get max flavor and BIG clouds. Thank you for sharing. Hitting it at 30w on a sigelei box mod with the starre tank. I can't go with out it!!!
I love it, thank you so much for posting! I do it a bit differently, I use the V2 custard and a different vanilla, maxVG with slightly higher percentages and no DW...lol I guess quite a bit differently...but it rocks. 5 stars. Thank you so much!! The first really good DIY I've made :)
after reading the reviews I expected to taste a good juice but I didn't expect it to be this good awesome!!! I also mixed higher flav. % and heavy vg A+
This is simply lovely. I made it exactly as per the recipe and steeped it. I'm tempted to add a further 1% vanilla custard V1 but as they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and this is one of the true gems on e-liquid-recipes.com
Thank you for sharing this with us all.
I was skeptical because I'm a Grant's fan but your recipe changed that. Very, very good! Thanks for sharing. (I did add two drops of butter, yeah, I like to live dangerously)
So personally gratified that you guys enjoy this as much as I have.. This recipe can be ejoyed with adjustsments as much as being left untouched, and I give MAD props to the OP ... :)
My variation 30/70 3% [5% Cap VC v.1] [3 .3% Cap NY cheesecake] [3.3% TFA French vanilla]. I usually steep my custards for at least twelve days, but I think that the Cheesecake really shines through right away as a shake and vape, it's sweet, it's a little nutty and a little buttery. I'm guessing after a good steep it's gonna go fast and I'll have to make more.
I did not have the exact Vanilla flavors around like others, so I used Vanilla Swirl TFA and Vanilla Custard TFA and it came out very good. I'll eventually get the CAP Vanilla's to try out the original on day. The longer it steeps, more subtle flavor notes are expressed. Thanks for the recipe!
Just made a 30ml tester of this and swapped the Cap NYCC for TPA Cheesecake graham crust just to see what it's like. They're two very different Cheesecakes, Cap not really being one but a great base, and the TPA being more of a true Cheesecake.
Like Many of you, I've been using this recipe "as is" and variants and their always good..
The big question for me, is the OP never actually says anything specific about the 10% Water/Vodka/PGA.. I'd Love to know if he uses water, Vodka or PGA ?? or is it a mix of them ??
What do you guys think ?? Would really like to make this exactly as it was intended.. Maybe we can all put our heads together and figure this out ??
Ole Frederiksen, if you could chime in, I'd be obliged...
Thnx ALL of you.
I personally always use Vodka in my mix. as there is NO pollution or other unwanted stuff. And due 2 my VG is very thick !
And that small amount that i use You can´t even taste it
Still i´m happy to share any recipe that people/fellow vaper´s like!
@Ole Thank you !! I can't wait to give this a try !!
I'm hittin' the package store first thing in the AM LoL !! I think I may go with a few "nips" definitely got to get "goose", " belvedere", and then one of those whipped cream flavored kinds by Smirnoff or Pinnacle... ;)
After 2 month wicked good , i had to tweak it to get it like i wanted
French Vanilla V2 (CAP) 8%
New York Cheesecake (CAP) 8%
Vanilla Custard v2* (CAP) 9%
2 month steep
thanks amazing recipie :)
This is the first decent custard recipe I've found. Seriously good. I speed steeped in a slow cooker for 6 hrs then left it for a further 10 days. Really smooth and creamy. Thanks
AMS, press the blue spanner at the top right, then choose 'adapt'
From there you can change all the quantities, including your nicotine, amount to make etc.
Made some of this up last night 27/08/2015 This goes above and beyond expectation! Shake & Vape no doubt about it!! I made this with the exact amounts and flavours. All I changed was 80 / 20 VG and 3ml nic. I think because of the NY Cheesecake that's what makes this a shake & vape custard. I expect this to only get better and better and better right after the 5 day mark! Going to make up a phat batch of this tonight so I can carry on vaping it and have enough steeping. Yeah when it comes to this I have exactly NO patience.
Hi I have a question can I use (TPA) French Vanilla? It's all I have I don't feel like ordering from (CAP), But If anyone tried it does it make a difference or no? Please let me know!
It's bound to make /some/ difference but should be ok. It's the French vanilla that adds the caramel hint as it steeps so use TPA FV accordingly.
I'd seriously recommend getting Cap FV V1 in though.
I made a batch of this swapping the NYCC for TPA Cheesecake Graham Crust and it was good. Different but still good.
Started diy a month ago. This was my first recipe i tried. Love it. Gotta have it. Gonna add some butterscotch to see if it will taste like pinups marilyn. Will let ya know. Recommend this recipe for anyone just starting diy. A week steep, and its golden goodness. Thanks
Made this juice and tried it straight away and was pretty disappointed, so I doubled the flavour percentages and it tasted even worse lol. I figured all these peeps giving it such a high rating couldn't be wrong so I just left it to steep. After two days I read an alternative and much quicker way to steep was to put the ejuice bottle in hot water with the lid off for ten minutes then shake it vigoursly. Repeat a few time and hey presto juice steeped. Well damn, after few baths the colour changed from light yellow to a deeper caramel. The scent changed from a beautiful custard to a more subtle but lovely caramel, and the vape went from bloody bland to epic. It tastes to me just like Arise (strawberry and custard) by the cloud company. ADV for sure. I won't be buying eliquid again now know there are recipes as good as this. Thanks for sharing Ole Frederiksen!
I'm new to DIY and just got the flavors today in the mail. Followed this recipe to the T and I absolutely love it. Started with a 30ml and made an additional 60ml. Definitely shake n vape but will let steep and post results. Thanks for this post it's excellent.
This is very very good. Went hunting for the best DIY, no fruit, Custard on here. After much testing and deliberation, this come second (to Third World Custard) however they are two different animals, so will keep brewing this awesome liquid, for that late night vape. Thanks a mil for sharing!
Just glad and very happy that you all find it good and usefull
If it´s an Make/Shake/n Vape or Steep it.. Your choice there, as it´s your taste buds who decide that !
Just an Happy Vaper who likes to share the good stuff !
Print your own labels there with all the art n bs.. pat your self on the shoulder and look in the mirror... SMILE ;-) U made IT! (y)
Definitely a steeper imo. The full 7 days is what I tell people when I show them the recipe. Such a great custard, and one that goes to prove that often the most simple recipes are the best. Thanks again Ole.
This has been one of my daily vapes for bout 5 months now. It gets really really smooth after 4 weeks. The batch I'm vaping now was made in july and it's awsome. I make 200 ml batches and 2 at a time. Great recipe.

Agreed Trebor. The longer it steeps, the better it gets. I make large batches too, and always make more so I keep steeped juice in stock. I actually enjoy tasting how u changes with time.
Don´t know that. ! I would personally take small step´s in that
But you do as you like or feel ! It´s FREE to work on and make your own "Master Recipe" :-) Plz do share that one too later on as we all can benefit from it! (That´s MY ideology in this field ) Open source
I will mix up a couple of batches today 1.) using double the flavour 2.) the same recipe above, without the 10% Water/PGA/Vodka, just high VG! Will report back in 3-4 weeks, thanks Ole ! 👍🏼
My guess there is that our nic will be maybe max 1mg down, after a week with the cap off. I can´t tell any difference in mine :-)
But it works wonders in the flavour/taste !
I had to sub French V for V Ice cream and it was great then I went back and added half a mil of sweet cream and it is now the best juice ive had in a long time. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
This is really delicious! I don't have french vanilla so I had to sub vanilla swirl. I also upped the percentages to 4.5 v.swirl. 4.5 ny cheesecake, and 6 v.custard. great, and it's only been a little over a day. Which is crazy as all I read is let custard steep. So I can only imagine it getting even better. Definitely recommend. Thanks alot!!!
I agree Yiana it is a shake and vape for me too. I went back and added some graham cracker and made that my main flavor and I love it now it tastes like a bowl of graham cracker with milk all over it. Its my adv now.
I find the after a week as Ole said, it begins to come alive. It keeps changing and changing, always for the better and eventually becomes beautifully rich as the caramel note of the French Vanilla begins to come through.
Yiana nope im a real big guy and I had a nick name (Phlop) all my life then someone made a spin off of Snufalufagus off of mean streets of Sesame....it stuck.
Haha, just was thinking about the last part of your name, I'm greek and it sounded greek! Hilarious, Snufalufagus must be greek. Anyways, a week into this, the flavors are developing more, and quite frankly delicious. I made my mother in law some and gave it to her today. She got me into vaping over 2 years ago. I want to make her juice for her. She spends over $40 a week. I have been very happy with diy. Just want to give thanks for the people who share recipes. Thank you :)
great recipe with just these three flavours. I made a 70/30 VG/PG batch and its awesome straight out the water bath. can't wait to taste it in a few weeks
It´s actually mentioned in the recipe.. :-)
"PPS Water/VodkaPGA used to dilute my very thick VG (Thick as syrup)"
So YES you can use distilled water if needed ! Feel free
God knows what I done but I followed the recipe exactly, steeped it in an ultrasonic machine for 4x30 mins but for some strange reason mine tastes like gone off milk, any advice?
Sorry to hear that Perry :-(
Honestly I don´t know what has gone wrong there!
I can only guess, as well as you can, too !
My only guess here is some sort of "pollution" in your process of making it ! Haven´t experienced anything like that !
Best wishes and keep up the Vape!
Did you heat it in the ultrasonic Perry? Heat might be hurting some of the flavours in this. I make this on the regular with a few additions and changes. Taste is subjective, and I have come across maybe 2 out of the 10 who've tried it that don't enjoy it, but I'm with OLE, I think somethings up with your particular mix of this one maybe, or the ingredients. Maybe make a few 5mls up of each flavour used and try them on their own to see if you detect anything weird going on
I mean the small is amazing but strangely it isn't tasting like the smell, but this is the first recipe I have ever made so I guess I can learn from my mistakes
Also for fun, and science, try just VG/PG at the ratio you mixed this at, and try that, then add the same amount of nic to that, and try again... make sure you shake after adding nic, but could be on of those ingredients as well.
@jonathan Clifton I make this in MaxVG and no water/vodka and it's great. The water/vodka is to this the juice for quicker wicking, especially in smaller pen style tanks
Thank you for sharing. This was good after a 4 week steep. This is a very sweet and basic custard. Good, but not complex or rich and no thick mouth feel with this one. Very good for those that like a lighter custard.
Hazatem, I woild try it with that one. I know the regular cheesecake by tfa isn't that good. But I like the cheesecake w/graham crust. It would change it a bit. But I'm sure it would still be good. You should try it and see.
I'm about to make this in about an hour because I'm looking for a great custard. I have everything but FV (its in my next order.) Am I better off using TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream or FA Vanilla Bourbon or FA Madagascar Classic Vanilla? Also I'm provably going to make this at 70/30 VG/PG, should I bother with adding vodka or DW? I also have EM but idk how I feel about adding it. I'll be making 60ml with 3mg of 100mg VaporsTek nic in VG.
subbed new york cheese cake with graham cracker and french vanilla TPA instead of capella - modified for 75/35 VG/PG - delicious - not too sweet - thank you so much. Straight up shake and vape
Has become my #1 vape--have found this one smoother and very light tasting...as in not heavy if that makes sense--hard to find a VC vape for me that isn't even the teeniest bit harsh. There is another version on this site i love to but this one in the end wins out, for me.
This one is superb. Thank you
@ShelaghDB, I love vaping this as it steeps and tasting how it changes. It's blooming fantastic right from 10 days through to a good few months old when it's truly matured. After 7 days, it teases me, because I can taste how delicious it is, but leaves me wanting more flavour. Luckily the flavour comes through.
made as is no water added, simply amazing custard! SO I want to make fruit versions of this mainly FA mango or raspberry, do I just add maybe 1% of my fruit to this, will it be enough? thanks a lot fr my 1st and last custard vape !!!!!!
FA Fruits: I use 2-2.5% generally. That amount is for a definitely there but not overpowering taste. Use a little less for just a hint.
With this recipe I'd be careful as when fully steeped (a couple of months) the caramel from the French Vanilla really comes through quite a lot.
As the creator says 'a week' but it's still in its childhood then. I love vaping it from 10days onwards and tasting how it changes over time. It just keeps on improving!
With custards, the longer the steep the richer and better it gets. I recommend making it in a few different bottles. Try 1 each week to +4 weeks. You will be amazed at the flavor change!
Just got a 100ml batch coming up to a meeting month old, smells deep!
I like it with 2% raspberry FA, but FA mango was a bit bitter with it, TFA strawberry was also nice.
I've only had this steeping for a week but it's definitely a good one. I haven't had Grant's in so long it's hard to compare but it compares well to Accie's Ambrosia which I always thought was almost identical to Grant's.
Taste like CosmicFog to me milk & honey? Wondering if I miss labeled the bottle when making this a month ago iris that the taste? Was expecting a nice custard creamy but in stead the devil showed up. Not my favorite flavor no matter what you call it.
did not like it as a shake and vape and was disappointed, delicious after 1 week, I think it will still improve! Great and easy recipe. Perfect with only 10% flavoring.. that's my style :)! Thanks!
did this with 70/30 3 mg nbase. Didn't use any water etc because my nbase provider includes %1 distilled water in their nbases. I didn't leave the cap open but breathe it daily in 100 ml plastic bottle. 100 ml bottle for 50 ml liquid gives good room for breathing. I did this for 2,5 weeks. All alcohol smell is gone and the best vape of all time is left for me. i was in a vapers gathering yesterday i shared it friends and it was the favorite of the night. Key is to wait and breathe. 2 weeks + was key time for me. thank you so much
I tried this with tfa cheesecake and it was horrible. Is tfa cheesecake much stronger then caps? Thats the only thing i can think of because the tfa cheeses ake was overwhelming in the batch i made. Just curious the difference between tfa and caps cheesecake. Thanks!!
Yeah CAP one is the best. atleast what i heard from peeps, never have tasted others. just get it and you will not be disappointed at it.
happy vaping :)
Most people think TFA Cheesecake is nasty like dirty feet. Their cheesecake with graham crust is good though, but slightly different than NY Style. I haven't tried TFA plain Cheesecake, but have heard horror stories. Please try it again with Cap, this is very good.
Ok. My bad. It was tfa cheesecake graham crust i used not cheesecake. I didnt know tfa had a regular cheesecake. Anyway-im not knocking the recipe because obviously its well loved-yet the batch i made was nothing like grants vc which i assumed it may be similar because of the title of the diy juice.
Yeah, they are better with a long steep. If you used the cheesecake with graham crust, that one is not bad. Still slightly different, but not awful. So I would say maybe this recipe might not be a good one for you. I'm sorry. I thought it was good. Not great, but good. But you know how we all taste things differently :-/
Thanks MysticRose! Do you have a favorite vc diy? I do vape grants but its so xpensive-yet im having a hard time replicating it. Ive heard caps vc with ddl but the ddl is wrong-grants is more like caps vc with a slight cream and a slight vanilla but hes got something unidentifiable thats driving me nuts. You seem to have made a zillion recipes so im hoping you have some ideas. If not-cool-if yea-even cooler. Happy vaping!
TBH, I'm a novice myself. Next month will be my 1 year anniversary on diy. I think I do have a couple custards listed for public, but there are others much better than mine. I have never had the real Grant's Custard, so no idea what it really tastes like. Third Wold Custard is very good, although I sub FW Cake Batter Dip in Place of CAP, can't stand the stuff. Also Kreed's Kustard seems to have gotten good reviews. My favorite of mine is Vanilla Dream Custard. Good luck, and welcome to the wonderful world of diy :D
Ive always used wizard labs nicotine but im starting to think it has a chalky/ash-y after taste to it. Im not sure if its the nicoine brand or what so i ordered a small bottle from carolina xtracts to compare. I also heard nude nicotine and vaperstek are good nicotine but ive read that carolina xtracts is the top dog of them all. Ill soon find out. Good day MysticRose!
without a doubt the best juice i've made myself. I made a 1.5 L batch that's reaching its end now after about 2 and a half months and the flavor is incredible. this one just gets better with time
Might be as well since i am not confident on leaving it open for a week in ky place since there are children around and might stumble the liquid if i left it even on my closet :)
@woodsnake. I just started looking @ DIY and I was wondering what is the ratios on the flavors if you bump it up to 15%? I used the calculator on the site by clicking the blue spanner and it comes out to some large numbers. I'm just trying to make sense ov it.
Anyone tried upping the flavor percentages? I made 120 ml of this , best recipe I made on ELR and I have made a lot of highest rated ones. One thing though, I would like to get a stronger taste, so anyone experienced with increasing the flavor percentage let me know. Thanks in advance.

Amazing flavor! If I could guess what an expensive gourmet custard pastry tasted like, I'd guess this. :]
Rich, sweet, full and creamy, and perfect on the throat. This recipe proves that more is not always better.
I used 48mg Nic in 100% PG to 6mg strength, did not thin and made a 30/70 p/v ratio, and opted to add the 1% EM (tpa).
Shook well the PG ingredients by hand before adding the VG.
Nuked a bowl of dry rice 1 minute, then buried my 30ml plastic bottle in it for 20 minutes.
Shook the warm liquid to beyond a froth in homemade jigsaw rig 4 minutes.
Steeped open to breathe 3-1/2 days (forgot to leave open after one of the random shakings), and overall steeped almost 9 days before trial.
Vaping in an Axiom RBA with an iSub drip tip added (the Axiom is a stub which metals the flavor IMO without a little added chimney), on my first ever coil build (dual 26ga KALs, finishing at abt 0.5 ohms). Getting tons of flavor and vapor at only 24W, full air, and 4-5 secs.
Been Mixing for a while now and this is still my fav custard, also works well with a hint of walnut. This should be in everyone's rotation. Steep is important on this 1. I UC for an hr then throw in drawer for a week/shake every day or so. Thanks Sir
Thank you for the recipe, just mixed up a 15 ml test batch and wow! It already smells amazing. :) Can't wait to put this in my tank after the week steep.
@VapingKrakeVK: to adjust the percentages I suggest making this as a flavor base and then mix with that. increase to 12-14% total flavor. this way the ratios stay the same. good luck.
Very nice custard, love it as ADV and I always have some stashed in a dark place. Does taste better (rounder) after 5 weeks steep.
Good recipe, thanks for sharing
Made this with TFA French Vanilla and it was pretty good after a couple weeks, but I wasn't stoked on it. Forgot about it for 7 months and now it is insane.
Ive not been making my own juice very long at all and Ive never seen the PGA/Water/vodka addition. How important is this for the juice to be good? I have some Burnetts in the freezer I guess I could use but why? What does it do? Im learning so I really want to understand what this does! Thanks guys!
@ColonelRebFan says in the description he uses it to thin out his VG, I'm guessing so it'll work in a tank better, or could just be to make handling it easier. I don't think it's that important to the flavor, just a user preference, but I'm no expert. Make sure you let this one steep a good bit though
Hi! I was wondering why to leave the juice with top off botle for an week? I feel like it's too long to keep the top off. I am also new at this, so maybe i miss something here. I made this at 13% 30/70 6mg. Thank you for the recipe.
I am trying to recreate a Vanilla Bourbon Custard I hve fallen in love wth. Would you suggest I sub Vanilla Bourbon in place of French Vanilla or make it an addition?
I am totally new to DIY. I have all my supplies but want to be sure I understand it completely before I start mixing. This recipe sounds great considering I am a custard vape fan. Is this recipe for a 50 ml bottle? If so, what math calculations do I need to do to make a 30 ml bottle? Thank you in advance for the help.
Hi Geb,
Thank you for taking the time to give me such a detailed answer. You've been extremely helpful. I will follow through with your help. I don't see where any sweetener was added to this recipe, did you add any? I don't like my ejuice super sweet, just a hint is nice. Thank you again. I am excited to get started!!
I mixed up 300 ml of this last night and pulled of 30 ml to vape now, so good! I added 2 ml of graham cracker (TFA) and 2 ml of Marshmallow for sweetness and mouth feel! Thanks for sharing this recipe! Vape on brothers and sisters 😀 💨💨💨
Hey guys, mixed up a 60ml batch of this and although I did enjoy the flavour I found it very faint and was expecting an awesome strong custard. I'm new to DIY, is the faintless or lack of flavour due to not steeping? I only steep a day or two.
#181 ChainVaper Give it a few days more and then judge it !
Normal failure that most "first timers do" is adding in more taste to the mix before it has reached it´s peak level.. then after it turns VERY bad tasting! So I can only say one thing.. Patience and .. wait an bit! :-)
Update #3. I have capes this exclusively for about 15 months. In that time I have probably made around 12 liters at least of this stuff and I LOVE IT!!!
Vapeoz, non nicotine juices do not steep very well. The nic is what really catapults them into flavor heaven. So I would highly suggest that you not do that.
Gave it a six week steep and not too my taste - I'm a big custard fan but like them much richer. I've since tried the original and defo found this better so credit to the creator :-) . I think Grants are pretty overrated imo.
Honestly this recipe is perfect. IMO each flavor is essential and should not be subbed. The Fench Vanilla from TFA is nothing like CAP's. Actually all the TFA versions of these flavors taste nothing like CAP's. If you opt to sub, you're not vaping "this" recipe. I've tried tinkering with different company's offering of these flavors and CAP is the way to go if you want a true but bold custard.
My nicotine is way more powerfull than the one you've used. It's at 92, but I only want 3mg strengh. Do you think it will overpower the taste? Sorry if the question seems noobish, but I've just recently started doing my DIY juices.
check the comments HBA_Vape ;-) you could go with TFA/TPA french vanilla creme? a few people seem to have had alright luck using TFA VBIC but it would certainly taste different from the original I can tell you that :-) What kind of vanilla's do you have at hand, may be able to advise abit further then. Peace
@ skeppy, thanks for reply. I have Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (Cap), Vanilla Whipped Cream (Cap), and Vienna Cream (FA), not sure if the last one counts as vanilla though. I will read the comments above too. many thanks
Can anyone Compare it with Kreeds Custard ( e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/429399/Kreed%27s%20Kustard ) please ? I have only mixed Kreeds until, because i thought it is stronger in flavour! Is it really only stronger than this recipe, or where else is the diffrence?
I'm sure I commented on this, now I can't remember, I'm not here, or wasn't but I am now, know what I mean? Err, I don't! Crap now I don't know if I made this one first or Kreeds, anyway the custard I made first was the one I liked, anyway I'm not making anymore custard I've gone of the stuff, one of them was real good though. That's what you get for mixing 100ml each of tons of different juice, not taking notes and still having shed loads with no labels from months ago, its all good I'll remember, NOT, ahhhh! So both 5 stars!
Mixed w weeks ago and not so great flavour intil now.. 3 days ago i made a 60ml batch but was missing nicotine base..so i have made it without nicotin base , just 60vg/36pg/4h²0 base without the missing 20ml of 70/30 18nic base.
All the flavour exactly 10% like Oles recipe , just added 1% Cotton candy.
Now..so it was sunday and my supplier in citty is closed for get the nicotin ..the juice steeped about 18 hours without any nicotin and cap open !
Next day i get my nicotin and put in the steeped juice ..DAAAM WHAT A INCREDIBILE FLAVOUR !...i cant belive it ..my idea over years was that the nicotin is taken out the flavour...but thats all bullshit.
Because the juice steeped 18 hours without nicotin is already now 100 times better than the same juice steeped for at least 2 weeks !.
I dont know why ..but it is !
My only suggest is ..stay low with VG lime Oles ..VG is flavour killer.
I made this in July & after a couple of weeks I thought it was just ok. Three weeks later I knew you had something. I'm now just finishing a batch I tweaked that's almost 3 months old & it is quite excellent! I will say that I had to turn it up to suit my max VG, sub-ohm style, but it's very nice & rich. Same flavors, but I went: 4% CAP French Vanilla, 3.5% CAP NY Cheesecake & 7% CAP Vanilla Custard (might be why it took so long to steep, lol). Thanks for sharing.
this is my second round of a 100ml batch, i cant quite remember how the first batch steeped timewise, but i do know it was one of the best darn custards id ever vaped, so saying that i went back for more.... im 4.3 weeks in on the second 100ml and it still tastes short.... has anyone else experienced this with GVC. does it need 8 weeks or so...?????? any comments would help.....
Love GVC, love this. No bazillion flavour recipe required. Shake and vapes surprisingly well for a custard. Rightfully one of the best rated recipes on the site.
I just made this recipe 2 weeks ago with some adjustments, and it's great now. Honestly, i thought it's going to be weak flavor, but it's not. Thank you for this recipe.
Not sure if you're still with us, anyhow... just tasted after restraining for only 10 days... IMMEDIATELY made 120 ml. Excited to taste after a month! Thank you!
I tried loads of custard recipes and found them lacking or "thin" feeling. This is the only one that satisfies. It's even pretty sweet although I'm gonna add some sucralose to the next batch as I like my vape very sweet. So thank you OP, this is going to be the base for all of my custard recipes going forward!
I made a 30mil and it just went straight away. I think this is a great recipe and it's one of my top vapes atm so thanks for sharing this recipe defo a keeper
Hey can i sub 3% TFA Vanilla Swirl for the French Vanilla? They both do the same thing damn near, both are great at adding that defined creamy vanilla PUNCH almost like v1 Cap custard does .... Vanilla swirl is as versatile as Cap v1 custard IMO, or VBIC too. Just my opinion...
This juice was my first step in DIY early this year. Still making it and prefer it fresh, under a couple of weeks old. Thing is, a 120ml usually never makes it that long.
Made this as my first juice. Was good but tweaked it a little to suit my taste. This was an excellent juice to make and cant make enough to keep up with my own demands. My tweaks are: dropped the water, added .5% super sweet (cap) and made it 25/75 ratio and best tasting after at least a 3 weeks steep.
Whipping up another 8oz batch of Grant's today. Max VG, 2% distilled water to approximate 70VG viscosity. I mix it a few times a year because it's the perfect recipe if you wait out the steep.
Thanks again Ole Frederiksen!
